Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the latest information technology in multimedia section, and its implementation can be used in various fields. One of its achievement is that it has been developed in the world of education, as a more interactive and communicative learning media. The purpose of this study is to help students learning about human anatomy by making a learning system using Augmented Reality technology combined with Speech Recognition technology. This ARASION application was developed using several supporting software such as OpenSpace3D, Notepad++, Adobe Flash CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS4, CorelDRAW X4 and Autodesk 3ds max 2011. The concept of this application is to re-enact 3 dimensional objects of the human anatomy through a marker in the form of patterns/shapes, if the marker is detected by the camera/webcam and user’s input in speech recognition from entered then object will be displayed. The results of the study indeed help students in learning application of human anatomy using Augmented Reality technology and Speech Recognition.

Abstract

Currently, limited number of children, in particular those who live in big cities, are playing traditional game as one of Indonesian’s culture. This study proposes the so called MONAS (Monopoli Asli Indonesia) as a media for playing to form good character. MONAS uses three dimensions using development psychology method. The making of MONAS follows some steps, namely collecting, designing, printing, arranging, perfecting, and evaluating.The monopoly game is compiled in one package. The package has three dimensions of which there are 155 note of moneys in seven nominal, one piece of question and answer, 30 cards of DOORPRIZE and ZONK, 1 piece of game rule, 5 dummies, 33 villas and motels. The proposed monopoly game is believed to provide motivation for creating the feeling of loving Indonesia culture so they don’t have to leave our traditional game.

Abstract

Energy is an essential requirement in peoples lives. When viewed from the source of the current world energy supply, and as the major sources, oil and gas resources are limited and will run out at some point. Various studies were conducted to find energy sources beyond oil and gas. One of the alternative energy sources that can be developed is wind power. This study utilizes wind using ribbon string vibration systems. Wind is used to vibrate the ribbon that had been paired with a magnetic coil to produce an electric current. The lowest average wind speed is 6.67m/s obtained at 1.3298 watts of electrical power (voltage of 11.83 volts; 112.41mA). These results can be used to turn on the LED at 6 volts with a current of 30mA. To anticipate the absence of wind diving for 3 hours, the use of batteries at 6 volts with 1,800Ah currents can be filled by "Windbelt". The result is an alternative means of wind power with the concept of micro-scale vibration ribbon strings.

Abstract

This study proposed a tool that can set the direction of the solar cells that will always follow a shift of the light source and always facing perpendicular to the sun using solar system auto scanning. Commercial DSSC was proposed using a synthetic dye that is kind of a ruthenium complex dye has reached 10% efficiency, but the availability and the price is expensive does not allow for the development of this research so that the research will be used ZnO with Dye N3 a more easily available and cheaper. To optimize the performance of the solar cell, material will be added CNT nano-materials on silicon. Prototype of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was made using materials ZnO and CNTs that can increase the power by 5.18%. Auto scanning was able to move in 3 dimensions to follow the direction of motion of the sun through the increase reached 7.5%. Electric control system was set up by detecting the maximum light intensity and adjusting the position of the direction of the solar cell, solar lighting by using microcontroller ATMEGA 32, light sensor and motor driver. This technology had been able to improve 14.73%.

Abstract

Conventional wheelchair is not unable to allow users make free move. Meanwhile, electronic wheelchair allows user to move without assistance but the hand-base disable people are unable to move the chair given they have problem in using joystick. The use voice as moving order is offered. Android Smartphone is chosen due to the availability of open source operating system with speech recognition of multi-language. Android Wheelchair can be used through voice order “straight”, “backward”, “right”, “left”. The voice order is synchronized with the list provided in the database. If the voice is matched, the android smartphone will send order to microcontroller through wireless communication and will move the wheelchair.The experiment showed that from six times order through voice, those six orders were recognized by smartphone Android and it move to the direction mentioned previously. The wheelchair has been equipped with ultrasonic sensor to recognize surrounding environment so to avoid any possibility of crash.

Abstract

Sense of sight is one of the vital resources for humans. It is normal if noted that most of the information were obtained from the human senses of sight, while the rest come from other senses. Currently the introduction of Braille learning system blind patients still has shortcomings. One of them is when learning takes the role of the teacher is not physically blind to introduce forms of Braille. A teacher should show you exactly what motive and what letters are being touched by people with visual impairments. Of course this greatly affects the speed of visually impaired people to learn Braille, because blind people cannot do on their own learning. The sound system is applied to the keyboard can replace the role of the instructor, both in teaching and in the training process. All data processing are done by the microcontroller. So that the data can be converted into sound through the power amplifier.

Abstract

Watching television with distance under five diagonal from the television make negative effects to eye lens’s health, that include myopia, photochemistry hurt, and astigmatism. Blue shine from the television could cause injury on eye’s lens. According to Rahmi Utari from Mechanical R&D, the blue shine percentage in age among 0-10 years is 70-80%, meanwhile in age among 60-90 years is 20%. It means the radiation from blue shine can break the eye’s lens in age among 0-10 years. Example, keep on watching distance from television. Watching television with position ±250 will make neck injury, above 250 will tense neck and make headache also bucking. Smart Sensor Television is a tool to detect the automatically television visibility as effort to keep eye’s health. Basically, the function of this tool is a health censorship of visibility in watching television. This tool has tree early warning such us LCD’s indicator, LED’s indicator and buzzer sound’s indicator to know how far save distance to watching television. The procedure of this tool is when someone watching television with distance under five diagonal from television, the three indicators will give synergic response.

Abstract

Traffic accident affects the under age driver. The purpose of making this tool is to create a design, knowing the process, and applying of E-SIM (Electronics-SIM) based on RFID smartcard as an effort to achieve security of car and to solve the misapplication of driver under age. The methods used are the concept design, the creating of tool, and the applying of tool. This tool uses input of RFID of RDM6300 reader with the frequency of around 125 KHz. The process of this tool uses ATmega 16 micro-controller system and the output of this tool consists of relay for controlling the contact. All systems make it into one tool and placed in the dashboard of the car. From this result, this tool has the best performance.

Abstract

Students have a variety of academic tasks in their study, such as scientific research. Students require a lot of resources in the execution of his duty as a reference. Developments in science and technology is very rapid. Almost everyone has a cell phone. The technology used in mobile phones becomes more advanced. Nowadays mobile phones have emerged and have a variety of operating system that could perform a variety of functions in addition to phone and texting. One of the operating system is the most rapidly growing is Android. Android has an advantage in terms of hardware and software that is open source. So everyone can develop aplication by their own.Based on the above facts the study develops an Android-based application called mobile learning journal as a student reference. Applications can operate online and offline. While online applications are used to locate the journal needed to be downloaded, then can be read offline anytime. The application development through the planning, design, programming, testing. Results of this program is the Android-based applications that can be downloaded and used by anyone. Through testing of various devices stated that Mobiju applications can run properly on all devices.

Abstract

Nowadays the need of aerial photography increased. Heksacopter is a vehicle of development from helicopter which has 6 blades as their actuators. Heksacopter can do aerial photography well because it has a good level of stability. An advanced technology is added to Heksacopter to support the aerial photography, such as Global Position System (GPS) that used to know the vehicle coordinates. This makes Heksacopter fly to some specify coordinates and doing aerial photography automatically. Heksacopter is expected able to fulfil the needs of aerial photography.
