Abstract

Abstract - The purpose of this study is to develop the software using both Delphi 7 and ArcView GIS 3.3 programming language which is able to apply Prim's algorithm in obtaining the time complexity used to calculate the cability of computer in executing the command. This study not only compares two pieces of software built by the authors but also compares the cability of two computers that each have different specifications. It has been proven that the software generated in this study can be utilized to get the complexity of time by using Prim’s algorithm which is used to calculate the ability of computer in executing the command. The software can also accurately display the minimum spanning tree as a result of applying the Prim's algorithm. The capability of computer is examined in terms of the accuracy and speed in executing the commands. The examination result shows that the capability of the first computer specifications is higher than the capability of the second computer specifications in applying the Prim's algorithm. The other result found in this study shows that the computation time software built in Delphi 7 is faster than the computation time software built in ArcView GIS 3.3. This result indicates that in terms of applying the Prim's algorithm, the software built in Delphi 7 is more efficient than the software built in ArcView GIS 3.3.   Keywords: Time Complexity, Prim’s Algorithm, The Ability of Computer

Abstract

Dynamic Voltage Restorer is one of quality solution methods of electric power that is used to recover drop voltage (sag) by injecting voltage to the network. Injection of minimum power method is minimum active power supplied to the load as compensation of sag. Thus, it can stabilize load voltage. The aim of this research is to maintain voltage magnitude constantly in the sensitive load location, when fault occur. In tackling sag and swell problems, DVR can solve balance and unbalance conditions by injecting appropriate voltage component. Therefore, the normal condition at source voltage can be achieved as soon as possible. DVR Control produces fast and accurate response that lead to an accurate solution increasing quality of electric power system caused by sag. Sag can disturb performance of sensitive equipments. MATLAB-SIMULINK with toolbox of electric power system will be utilized in simulation process. Kata kunci : power quality, sag voltage, dynamic voltage restorer series.

Abstract

Central Sulawesi has tropical climate conditions with interconnected rivers caused each of it can experience the impact of the sudden rise of water levels if there is a heavy rainfall in upstream areas which is commonly called “a sent flood”. Therefore, it is needed an early detector flood tool that works based on the height of river water level so that the impact of floods can be minimized. Early detector flood tool can function automatically by giving early warning when water levels reach a certain limit. The detector of height levels of river streams is designed using float magnetic level gauge method. This height level of river streams detector is able to provide information in real time based on the height level of river streams by giving information in the form of warning light indicator and siren alarm as alert and danger sign. Abstract

Development of an area, such as Yogyakarta is directly proportional to consumption of power in that area. Transformer of 150 KV Wirobrajan substation, 60 MVA, is one of main equipment in power system. Load forecasting on this research using daily average peak load data during five years that is since 2003 to 2008. Based on the analysis of the result of exponential model approach method, the equation Y = 5.29 e 0.04057X is obtained. By using this model, it is found that average load growth forecasting of the transformer during 2009 to 2025, is suitable to supply 50.89 MVA of load demand (85% of full load). Moreover, model Y = 20.18 + 0.44X1 + 0.07X2 is found using polynomial method. In 2025, the transformer, based on polynomial method, can deliver power 80.07 MVA (about 80.07% of full load). Finally, load current was 230.72 A, in 2025. Keywords: Power demand, transformer capacity, exponential trend

Abstract

Education curriculum requires that teachers can take advantage of information and communication technologies in education. The reality there are many teachers who have not been able to operate and use information and communication technologies, especially in terms of learning. The activities of Ipteks Bagi Masyarakat aims to improve the knowledge of teachers in the using of information and communication technologies in terms of making the learning material. The method used is the training, evaluation and mentoring. Knowledge transfer that is making learning materials using Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Wondershare Quiz Creator and Adobe After Effect. Base on assessment and mentoring, from 20 teacher trainees, about 85% of teachers can operate and use Microsoft Office applications Powerpoint, Wondershare Quiz Creator and able to create interactive multimedia learning materials. Abstract

A short circuit is a common fault of overhead lines. In 2015, short circuit caused by surge lighting and fallen trees, occurred four times in transmission line connected PamonaSiderasubstation. In securing transmission line, distance relay should be applied as the primery protection. However, incorrect setting of relay may readily lead to relay failure to protect the line. Therefore, evaluation of relay setting is crucial. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the setting of distance relay that was installed at Pamona and Sidera substation. Furthermore, calculation of curent fault and impedance of short circuit was done by intervering fault to the line connected Pamona and Sidera substation in matlab. The method used is simulation using matlab application. The result shows that the highest short circuit current obtained at 25% of the length of Pamona-Sidera transmission line, 6203.47A. The smallest short circuit current was 1255,86A, occurred at 100% of the Keyword : Short Circuit, Distance Relay, Transmission line

Abstract

Digital era demands all thing could be done in computerized system to solve problems in easier way. So do with verification and identification system that continues to evolve with technology development. One of the implementations of it is face recognition. Human faces were taken as verification and identification system because they have unique characteristic and identity between one and others. Face recognition implementation on computerized system could be done with eigenface algorithm. Eigenface is one of face recognition’s algorithm based on Principal Component Analysis. Based on the best threshold value prospecting, it’s obtained for 2400, that value obtained for 100% of face recognition success rate. The image that can’t be detected and recognized as someone’s face is an image that has image distance error greater than predetermined threshold value and due to significant difference in light intensity of training images and test image.Keywords: Eigenface, Image, Euclidean Distance, and Face Recognition

Abstract

Failure of Insulators of ‘Line Post Insulator 70 kV type’ usually caused by many factors, such as the leakage current on contaminated insulator surfaces. This leakage current will cause interference with the electrical energy distribution system. This study reported the results of testing the leakage current on insulator 70 kV Line Post Insulator type  performed on high-voltage laboratory Ujung Pandang State Polytecchnics. Based on testing, the maximum leakage current value obtained in wet conditions polluted with spraying of pollutants ESDD = 3.2 mg/cm2 and NSDD =  0.08 mg/cm2 with a value of leakage current of 7.4 mA at an applied voltage of 22 kV, this can result in flashover. Abstract

Determination of the minimum spanning tree are widely used to solve optimization problems of finding solutions to problems that require minmum. In the electricity distribution network, minimum spanning tree (MST) is used to find the minimum length of cable for electricity network system becomes more optimal. Minimum weight of a MST primary distribution power network is strongly influenced by the geographical conditions of a region in the form of contour data. Contour data is spatial data that contains information of the earth surface elevation of an area. To determine the primary distribution grid MST needed an algorithm that can produce optimal solutions. In this research the algorithm used is algorithm Prim. Prim's algorithm is an algorithm in graph theory to find the MST of a weighted graph with emphasis on the selection of minimum weight based on the node is taken. This research was done by designing a model of primary distribution power network graph in accordance with the data obtained. In finding the minimum weight for each side of the network graph should include parameters elevation, high point / node, and the distance between points / nodes. Furthermore, the graph is done by computer calculation and simulation to get the electricity distribution network primary MST using Prim's algorithm with the help of ArcView GIS 3.3 program through the avenue script. Prim's algorithm included in the category of good or efficient algorithms, because the shape of polynomial time complexity in n, where n is a measure of the number of vertices or sides. Based on the test results have shown that the algorithm Prim MST ability to determine the primary distribution grid is much better if based on the geographical conditions of a region. In addition, Prim's algorithm graph computation time in generating the MST based on the data that is not based on the contour and contour data are quadratic. Abstract

Switching process with the utilization of system LTR (Logic Trunked Radio) begins with the handshake between the mobile data with a repeater which ensures that the signaling does not occur on the wrong channel and prevents mobile with a strong signal using a channel that has been unused. Determination of the use of home repeater and channel ID in terms of flight safety and interests of users with uniformity throughout the airport which is determined by radio trunking operator. In terrestrial communication systems integrated with EF LTR. Johnson's lines of communication that is formed resembles the organizational structure chart so easily developed and communication links between the parts can be easily arranged.   Keyword : radio trunked Logic, home repeater.
