Abstract

The research is aimed to 1) know the implementation of group counseling in private vocational school in Semarang. 2) know the social intelligence condition in SMK Roudiotus Saidiyyah Semarang. 3) Produce Islamic teaching based group counseling model to increase social intelligence of students in Roudiotus Saidiyyah Semarang. 4) ehther or not the implementation of the islamic teaching based group counseling model effectiveness in increasing social intelligence of the students in Roudiotus Saidiyyah Semarang. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) method. The data analysis technique used are both qualitative and quantitative. The findings were the Islamic teaching based group counseling model consists of rasional, vision and misson, objectives, the model content, the stages in Islamic teaching based group counseling model, role and function of the group leader, group member qualification, evaluation and follow up.

Abstract

the objectives of the research are to discover (1) the description of the students’ internal locus of control in learning in class VIII at SMPN 5 Pasarwajo (2) the effectiveness of assertive training technique in improving the students’ internal locus of control in learning in class VIII at SMPN 5 Pasarwajo. The research was quasi experimental research which employed quantitative approach with pretest-posttest control group design. The measurement instrument were scale and observation. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis and t-test. The results of the research reveal that (1) the levels of the students’ internal locus of control in learning in class VIII at SMPN 5 Pasarwajo before given the treatment it improves to high category, (2) Assertive training technique is effective to improve the students’ internal locus of control in learning in class VIII at SMPN 5 Pasarwajo.

Abstract

The problems which was described in this study can be divided into two parts (1) How to develop the guidance of Bugis-Makassar Traditional Games as acceptable counseling guidance media based on the usefulness, accuracy, and relevancy in increasing social skill of students. (2) How to implement the guidance of Bugis-Makassar traditional games as counseling guidance media. The purposes of this study are (1) to develop the guidance of Bugis-Makassar Traditional Games as acceptable counseling guidance media based on the usefulness, accuracy, and relevancy in increasing social skill of students. (2) to know the implementation of Bugis-Makassar traditional games guidance as counseling guidance media. This study used development model developed by Borg and Gall which examines the development of this Bugis-Makassar traditional games media. Participants of this study in this small trial consist of 12 students. Data collection technique was questionnaire and interview. The results showed that (1) Bugis-Makassar traditional games guidance can be accepted based on the usefulness, accuracy, and relevancy in increasing social skill of students. (2) the guidance of Bugis-Makassar traditional games as counseling guidance media can be implemented properly in SMPN 8 Makassar.

Abstract

This this research are to: (a) discover the description of the students’ anxiety level in facing online exams before and after implementing  dzikir relaxation technique , (b) discover the influence of dzikir relaxation technique to reduce students’ anxiety in facing online exams . This research employs quantitative approach with experiment type which examines on dzikir relaxation technique to reduce student’s anxiety in facing online exams. The design model of this research is pretest- posttest control group design. The results of the research reveal that: (a) the description of the student’s anxiety level in facing online exams at experiment group before implementing dzikir relaxation technique is in high category; however, after implementing dzikir relaxation technique, the students’ anxiety level in facing  online exams is in low category. In contrast, the control group which is not given a dzikir relaxation technique does not show significant change or decrease, or it is still in high category, (b) there is significant influence of dzikir relaxation technique on students’ anxiety in facing online exams at SMPN 12 in Makassar, meaning that the more dzikir relaxation techniques are given, the more decreasing students’ anxiety in facing online exams.

Abstract

The research is analyzing the effect of the Study Program Selection information services to the students in SMPN 2 Maros? (ii) How is the analysis result of the students choices in the implementation of Study Program Selection information to the consistency of high school choice made by the students of SMPN 2 Maros before and after the services? (iii) Whether or not the service influences the students’ choices in selecting schools? The result of the research shows that (i) the implementation of Study Program Selection information ran effectively and resulted positive responses from the students; (ii) The analysis result of the students consistency of high school choice made by the students before giving the information was averagely low, however the result analysis after giving information was high; (iii) the inferensial statistic analysis result shows the positive effect of the implementation of Study Program Selection information the consistency of high school choice made by the students of SMPN 2 Maros.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to see the effect of stress on the incidence of sleep paralysis in medical students. The research method based on the analysis of 52 respondents of medical students selected by simple random sampling. The data were collected using a questionnaire containing 14 questions about stress and 8 questions about sleep paralysis. Data were statistically analyzed with logistic regression method using SPSS version 24.0 computer program. The results showed as many as 25 (48%) of respondents experiencing stress and 30 (58%) of respondents experiencing sleep paralysis. Stressed respondents had a risk of having a sleep paralysis of 4.6 fold compared to those who did not. It is suggested that the leaders in the medical faculty should also provide psychological counseling and guidance facilities for students, especially those experiencing stress.Keywords: Stress, sleep paralysis, sleep disorder, medical student Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh stress terhadap kejadian sleep paralysis pada mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran. Metode penelitian berdasarkan analisa terhadap 52 responden mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran yang terpilih secara simple random sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi 14 pertanyaan seputar stress dan 8 pertanyaan seputar sleep paralysis. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik metode logistik regresi dengan program komputer SPSS versi 24.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 25 (48%) responden mengalami stress dan 30 (58%) responden mengalami sleep paralysis. Responden yang mengalami stress memiliki risiko untuk mengalami sleep paralysis sebesar 4.6 kali lipat jika dibandingkan dengan responden yang tidak mengalami stress. Disarankan agar pimpinan di fakultas kedokteran sebaiknya juga menyediakan sarana bimbingan dan konsultasi psikologi bagi mahasiswa terutama yang mengalami stress.Kata kunci: Stress, sleep paralysis, gangguan tidur, mahasiswa kedokteran

Abstract

Student college of guidance and counseling program as a counselors candidate is required to have concern for others, including empathy. This study aims to determine effectiveness modeling techniques to increase empathy in students majoring in guidance and counseling University of Ahmad Dahlan in Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is pre experiment with one group pretest-posttest with sampling through purposive sampling technique. The samples are 10 students majoring in guidance and counseling Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. Data collected by using a scale of empathy that has been proven valid and reliable and by using observation sheet of communicative empathy. The results showed that modeling techniques can effectively increase empathy in students. The results of Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the value of Z = -2810 with p = 0.005 (<0.05), which means there is a significant difference level of empathy before treatment (pre-test) and after the treatment (post-test). The results could be used as consideration for educators in universities in order to develop empathy in students.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are: (1) To discover the description of resilienciesof bullying victims and implementation of social personal guidance, (2) To develop social personal guidance module which is valid, interesting, and practical to improve resiliencies of the students as bullying victims (3) To develop social personal guidance module in improving resiliencies of the students as bullying victims. The study is Research and Development approach or Borg & Gall development model wich had been modified with data collection techniques conducted through questionnaire, scale, and (FGD). The results of the research reveal that (1) Bullying behaviors are still often discovered, it shows that there are many students who were unable to escape from the unfortunate situation, so social personal guidance module to improve resiliencies of the students as bullying victims is very needed in school, (2) The module produced is valid, interesting, and practical based on the assessment conducted by two of Guidance Counseling experts. (3) The implementation of social personal guidance module can improve resiliencies of the students as bullying victims.

Abstract

Artikel ini didasarkan atas penelitian tentang model konseling aktualisasi diri untuk mengembangkan kecakapan pribadi. Model konseling tersebut dikembangkan berdasarkan pendekatan humanistik dan dipadukan dengan hasil studi pendahuluan tentang profil kecakapan pribadi mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) tahun 2009/2010. Prosedur penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan yang terdiri atas empat langkah utama, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, validasi rasional model, dan validasi empirik model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya pencapaian kecakapan pribadi subjek penelitian belum optimal, baik dalam aspek memahami dirinya sendiri, memahami orang lain, maupun dalam berinteraksi sosial secara bermakna. Berdasarkan uji validasi rasional dan empirik, ditemukan bahwa model konseling aktualisasi diri efektif untuk mengembangkan kecakapan pribadi, yang melingkupi hampir semua indikator pada setiap dimensi kecakapan tersebut. Rekomendasi penelitian ini ditujukan untuk pengembangan kecakapan pribadi melalui bimbingan dan konseling, Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling, dan penelitian selanjutnya

Abstract

The purpose of study was to determine the relationship of the task aversiveness with academic procrastination. Subject of the study were 100 students out of a population of 516 students of the Faculty of Psychology class of 2012-2014. The method used in this research is quantitative by using Spearman rho as data analysis techniques. The research instrument consists of academic procrastination scale and the scale of the task aversiveness. Based on the results of correlation is known that there is a positive relationship between task aversiveness with academic procrastination with a correlation coefficient r = 0.508; p = 0.000. The results showed that of the 100 students of the Faculty of Psychology University of Makassar has a degree of relationship between task aversiveness with academic procrastination is on the very low category (25, 8%). Area/types of tasks delayed is not necessarily an unpleasant task and otherwise unpleasant task may not be postponed. Area task the highest level of aversive and delays are areas the task of writing and reading. This study illustrates that academic procrastination can be lowered by a change in the mindset of an unpleasant task.
