Abstract

Public understanding and awareness of Covid-19 is still slightly poor that cause them ignore the current situation. This research is carried out in purpose to strengthening the understanding or education of COVID-19 disaster . This article uses descriptive qualitative research method. Where the article present the results of the data as it is without manipulation or other handlings. Data collection techniques used are: 1) Participant observation, in which the researchers play a direct role as the executors and are directly involved in research activities, 2) Interview, to find out the situation through informant, 3) Documents analysis in the form of homecomers' data, and 4) Documentation in the form of  activity photos . Some of the activities or projects carried out by the volunteers of KKN Covid-19 Response are Socialization of the Importance of PHBS (Clean and Healthy Behavior), Assistance of Learning Activities during Covid-19, Online Discussions about Covid-19, The Efforts to Create Food Security within The Scope of Family, and Monitoring of Homecomers Data.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to investigate the dispersion of poor families in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency in 2013; (2) to investigate the dispersion of targeted households receiving temporary direct cash assistance in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency in 2013; (3) to investigate the effectiveness of temporary direct cash assistance distribution in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency in 2013; (4) to investigate the benefit of temporary direct cash assistance for the targeted households in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency in 2013; and (5) to arrange the learning materials of Geography on the basic competency of Analyzing the Dynamics and Problems of Population and Human Resources in Indonesia for Development. This research used the qualitative research method with spatial approach. Its population was all of the targeted households receiving temporary direct cash assistance in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency. The samples of research were taken by using the proportional random sampling technique and the simple random sampling technique. They consisted of 100 targeted households. The data of research were gathered through field observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The results of research are as follows: 1) Of 17,686 households in Tanon sub-district, Sragen regency, 7,793 are poor families. The largest number of poor families, namely: 830 is found in Bonagung village, and the smallest number, that is 279, is found in Suwatu village. 2) Of 7.793 of poor families, 5,588 are the recipients of the temporary direct cash assistance. 3) Through the consideration of 14 criteria of poverty, 37 targeted households are eligible to receive the temporary direct cash assistance, and through the calculation of calorie adequacy, 76 targeted households are eligible to get the temporary direct cash assistance. Thus, the distribution of the temporary direct cash assistance to its recipients in Tanon subdistrict, Sragen regency in 2013 is effective with the percentage of 76%. 4) Through the consideration of income, rice price, and life style variables, the targeted households can feel the benefit of the program. The level of benefit in term of income and rice-purchasing ability is 91%, and that of benefit in term of life is 89%. 5) The result of this research is a supporting one to the learning material in Geography for Grade XI, Semester I of the 2013 curriculum on the on the basic competency of Analyzing the Dynamics and Problems of Population and Human Resources in Indonesia for Development.Keywords: Poor families, targeted households, effectiveness of temporary direct cash assistance distribution, and benefit

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data, process, analyze and discuss the Community Vulnerability in the Coastal Areas of Pariaman City in Earthquake Disaster Mitigation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The population in this study are villages along the coast of Pariaman. Total population of 1117 households (KK). Sampling of respondents based on Proposional Random Sampling, namely 10% of the total population, so that the respondents totaled 117 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. Descriptive qualitative data analysis used frequency and percentage tables. The results of this study indicate the level of community vulnerability in the coastal area of Pariaman in earthquake mitigation shows a high vulnerability category. The general public must always be given outreach on a regular basis to be able to understand about knowledge before a disaster, during a disaster and after a disaster.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out the relationship between (1) knowledge of living environment towards environmental awareness; (2) socioeconomic level on environmental awareness; (3) the education level on environmental awareness; (4) knowledge of living environment, socioeconomic level and education level collectively of environmental awareness; (5) As a learning resource of the learning environment themes in the eleventh grade students of high school. This study was quantitative research. The population was housewives consist of 712 families. The sample was 142 housewives. The research sampling was random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques was done by using a observation and questionnaire. The data analysis technique is multiple linear analysis. The results show that (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between living environment towards environmental awareness, it is shown by the magnitude of the correlation between variables X1 > Y ( 0.262 > 0.165); (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between socioeconomic attitude levels towards environmental awareness, it is indicated by the magnitude of the correlation between X2 > Y ( 0.186 > 0.165); (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between the level of education on environmental awareness, it is indicated by the magnitude of correlation between X3 > Y (0.173 > 0.165; (4) There is a positive and significant relationship between the knowledge of environmental, socioeconomic level, and level of education together against environmental awareness, it is indicated by the magnitude of the coefficient multiple correlation (0.408 > 0.165); (5) The theme of environmental knowledge, socioeconomic level and education level of the environmental awareness can be used as a learning resource on the topic: the environment of learning in the eleventh grade students of high school. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar bahasa Jawa dalam materi unggah-ungguh bahasa Jawa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual (Contextual Learning) pada Pada Siswa Kelas VIId SMP Negeri 26 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016.Subjek penelitian sejumlah 33 siswa yang terdiri dari 13 siswa laki-laki, 20 siswa perempuan dan guru. Data yang akan dikumpulkan berupa data tentang prestasi belajar Bahasa Jawa yaitu hasil ulangan dan tes dalam materi melaksanakan aturan di lingkungan sekolah pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Jawa dan data tentang penerapanmodel pembelajaran kontekstual. Metode pengumpulan data berupa tes, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kritis dan analisis konstekstual. Indikator penelitian ini adalah dari pembelajaran kurang menarik menjadi menarik sehingga prestasi belajar siswa mencapai 72%; kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran Bahasa Jawa akan dicapai lebih. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini melalui 2 siklus tindakan, yang terdiri dari tahap:perencanaan, melakukan tindakan, mengamati (observasi), tahap refleksi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstul dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Jawa dalam materi unggah-ungguh, baik secara individu maupun kelompok, pada siklus I dengan hasil rata-rata tidak tuntas, indikator kerja setelah tindakan pada siklus II diharapkan meningkat menjadi tuntas minimal telah mencapai 75%, ditunjukkan dari peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa kondisi awal ke siklus I sebesar 7 atau 21,22% dan siklus I ke siklus II ada peningkatan sebesar 8 atau 24,24%. Dengan demikian hipotesayang menyatakan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstul (CTL) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Jawa dalam materi unggah-ungguh padakelas VII d Semester SMP Negeri 26 Surakarta terbukti kebenarannya.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran CTL, Prestasi Belajar Bahasa Jawa, Unggah-ungguh.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know: (1) To determine differences in student learning outcomes in material resources between students and teaching methods for a field trip with students who use the lecture method, (2) To determine the influence of a caring attitude environment students both high and low the learning outcomes in the matter of natural resources, (3) To understand the interaction between the learning method field trip and a caring attitude to the environment students student learning outcomes in natural resource materials. This research used experimental method with 2 x 2 design factor. This research was conducted in August 2016 with student of Junior High School in Siantan as the population. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. The sample taken are 68 students consisting of 34 students of class XI IPS 2 as the experiment class and 34 students of class XI IPS 5 as the control class. The data is collected by means of the questionnaires to obtain the students’ attitude data, and class test is used to get the students’ learning outcome. The validity of the instrument is tested by using point validity technique and by using the pearson product moment. Instrument realibility is tested by using Alpha Cronbach. The data analysis technique used is the two-way Variance Analysis with 5% of significance level. The results of this research show that: (1) Method of learning field trip yield the same learning with the learning method lecture in the presentation of material natural resources in class XI IPS SMAN 1 Siantan, (2) attitude is environmentally students on the classification of high using field trip better than the lecture method in influencing student learning outcomes, (3) There is no interaction between the method of field trip and environmentally conscious attitude toward student learning outcomes in natural resource materials on student class XI IPS SMAN 1 Siantan. Abstract

This research case aims to determine (1) The spread of floods in the city of Surakarta in 2016; (2) Uncertainty factors that causing floods based on community perception in Surakarta City; (3) Individual and household preparedness levels in dealing with flood disaster in Surakarta City; (4) Implementation of science as a teaching material of geography in grade XI Senior High School on basic material of natural disaster mitigation.The research was conducted in Western City of Surakarta. The area assumed in Western City of Surakarta are Banjarsari district, Laweyan District, and Serengan District. Eligible samples consisted of 11 villages affected by flood in 2016, sampling of administrative unit using purposive sampling technique. The sample has been taken is the number of individuals / households in each ‘RW’ affected by floods in each villages, the number of samples is using snowball sampling technique. Data collection was done by documentation study, interview, questionnaire, and interview. Data validity test is done by data triangulation method. Data analysis is using Likert approach and LIPI preparedness measurement framework - UNESCO / ISDR.The results of the research are as follows: (1) flooding spread in eleven sub-districts in West Surakarta City which is divided into 3 regions based on administrative unit of analysis. Banjarsari District having local flood characteristics and submissions with elevation and duration of time falling into the low category. Laweyan District areas have local flood characteristics and postings with elevation and duration of time that falling into the low category. Serengan District has local flood characteristics and post with elevation and duration falling into the medium category; (2). Factors causing high flooding, garbage disposal, and flood control building conditions; (3) Individual and household preparedness studies in all villages are in a ready category;

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the level of community resilience to flooding in Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency in 2018; (2) community adaptation strategies to flood disasters in Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency in 2018; and (3) efforts to improve resilience and adaptation to flood disasters.The population in this study were all villages in Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency. The sample used was flood-affected communities in each village by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using survey methods. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire and interview. Data analysis uses scorring techniques.The results of the study are as follows. (1) Resilience of the Trucuk Subdistrict community against flooding has moderate resilience (52.86 - 62.38) and high resilience (65.89 - 75.13). the distribution of resilience is moderate namely there are 6 villages consisting of the village of Kandangan, Sumbang cucumber, Kanten, Pagerwesi, Padang, and Guyangan. For high resilience there are 6 villages consisting of Sumberjo, Mori, Tulungrejo, Trucuk, Sranak, and Banjarsari villages. (2) Adaptation strategies undertaken by the Trucuk District community in dealing with floods are physical and non-physical adaptations. The physical adaptation carried out by the community and the government is to improve physical conditions, such as elevating houses, repairing irrigation networks, building dams, and building embankments along rivers. Non-physical adaptation carried out by the community and the government is the existence of an early warning system in detecting the danger of flooding and community preparedness in dealing with floods, such as mutual cooperation and mutual assistance in all matters before and after the flood. (3) efforts to improve resilience and adaptation to flood disasters.

Abstract

One of the ecological problems on the Serang Coast is the degradation of mangrove ecosystems. Coastal communities suffer various losses due to damage to mangrove ecosystems. Mangrove degradation is triggered by the people's ignorance in utilizing mangrove ecosystems in a sustainable manner. for this reason, preventive solutions through environmental education are needed to increase the understanding of coastal communities about importance of the mangrove ecosystems through eco-literacy. Eco-literacy is environmental education approach to increase the ecological awareness of the community and create an environmental balance. This study aims to create and develop mangrove eco-literacy storytelling as learning media of environmental education for coastal children at SDN Lontar 2 – Serang. The research method used Research and Development by Borg and Gall (2008). The result of this study was learning media for the mangrove eco-literacy storytelling which has been through feasibility testing and field trials. The feasibility testing resulted 83.34 % with a very good category. Field trials showed that there was a significant effect with the pretest and post-test based on the t-test 0.02 < p = 0.05 which means that users of mangrove eco-literacy storytelling influences to increase of mangrove eco-literacy students. The conclusions show that eco-literacy of mangrove storytelling media is very feasible to use for the learning process and mangrove eco-literacy storytelling is proven to be able to improve the ability of eco-literacy mangroves of students in environmental theme learning at SDN Lontar 2 - Serang.

Abstract

Penelitian dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi/dibawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) yang ditentukan oleh sekolah yaitu 77. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; 1) peningkatan hasil belajar geografi tentang biosfer melalui pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Pati Tahun 2013, 2) peningkatan aktivitas siswa belajar geografi tentang biosfer melalui pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Pati Tahun 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus dan tiap siklus meliputi empat tahapan dimulai dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan merefleksi. Penelitian ini bersifat kolaboratif yang melibatkan seorang teman guru geografi mulai dari perencanaan, sebagai observer dan merefleksi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan deskri[ptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Pati tahun 2013. Pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran geografi dan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. 1) Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini rata-rata nilai meningkat dari sebelum diberi tindakan (pretest ) sampai pada setelah diberi tindakan siklus I dan siklus II. Rata-rata pretest siklus I mencapai 56,55; rata-rata siklus I mencapai 70,59; rata-rata pretest siklus II mencapai 76,19 dan rata-rata siklus II mencapai 82,14. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa ini diikuti pula peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Penilaian aktivitas siswa didapat dari: respon siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran siklus I sebesar 57,5% naik menjadi 90% pada siklus II, interaksi siswa pada siklus I sebesar 62,5% naik menjadi 87,5% pada siklus II , kerjasama 67,5% pada siklus I naik menjadi 92,5% pada siklus II, dan tanggung jawab pada siklus I sebesar 62,5% naik menjadi 95% pada siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooeratif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa belajar geografi tentang biosfer pada siswa kelas XI-IPS SMA Negeri 1 Pati tahun 2013.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw, Hasil Belajar
