Abstract

One of the fishing gear used by fishermen in Ranooha Raya Village is a lobster tiller that they call "fans". Lobster tiller is a tool used to trap lobster pups directly from the sea to help with the availability of tillers to be raised. Until now there has been no research on this fishing gear even though it has produced quite a lot of lobster chicks. So it is very important to do research with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of using "fan" fishing tools as an alternative to lobster tiller, design and construction of fans and their use. Furthermore, for the level of effectiveness analyzed by analysis of effectiveness and to find out the existence of fishing gear whether it is feasible to be developed analyzed using SWOT. Use survey and interview methods and test the manufacture of fishing gear fans. The results of the study showed a low level of effectiveness at each station/fishing gear installation position at the time the research was conducted. Recommendations for use that are produced include: Regulating the area and time of arrest, forming a group of fishermen and Pokmaswas, supporting academics, assisting the fishing fleet by the government and involving the community in making regulationsOne of the fishing gear used by fishermen in Ranooha Raya Village is a lobster tiller that they call "fans". Abstract

Feed is one of the key factors for the success of carp cultivation. But the price of feed on the market is quite expensive, causing farmers to reduce the amount of feed. The impact is that the amount of goldfish production is low. This study aims to determine the growth, production and economic value of carp (C. carpio Lin.) Using non-commercial artificial feed. This research was conducted in May-August 2016 at Rakawuta Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study design used was a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the treatment of non-commercial artificial feed had a significant effect on absolute growth, specific growth rates, survival rates, production and some economic values. The absolute growth of individuals and the highest specific growth rate resulted in treatment B of 204.04 gr / head (4.38%) and the lowest treatment of 100% commercial feed with absolute growth of 92.80 gr / head (3.09%). The highest survival and production was produced by B at 96.67% (94.75 kg) and the lowest treatment D with survival of 92.89%, while the lowest production resulted in treatment E of 45.74 kg. The highest economic value in the form of a Cost Ratio and Payback period resulted in treatment B amounting to 6.16 with a Payback period of Rp1,894,980 and the lowest treatment E with a cost ratio of 2.97 payback period of Rp914,780. Non-commercial feed use of artificial has not fully provided important growth, production, and economic value for farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze and evaluate PUMP for Aquaculture in Konawe Selatan District. While the aim of this program is to improve the business capacity of farmers, increase aquaculture production, increase farmers' income and welfare, absorb labor, develop entrepreneurship, strengthen institutional Pokdakan (Fisheries Cultivation Groups) and improve environmental quality. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling data collection techniques where the research subjects selected were people who understood and knew about this program. The focus of this research is effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, alignment, responsiveness, and accuracy. The results of this study indicate that the PUMP of Aquaculture is effective and efficient because the production of aquaculture products increases compared to before the existence of this program and there is assistance by the PPK (Contract Fisheries Extension) who is the Contractor of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. For the category of adequacy and leveling it can be said that it is not enough because there are only a few groups that get this PUMP assistance. As for responsiveness and accuracy, where this program is highly responded positively by groups of farmers and on target because recipients of assistance are true groups that work as a group of fisheries farmers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine Daily Growth Rate (LPH) of seaweed in each observation station in East, West and Transmission Season; Obtain a real distance between seaweed LPH in each station in the season average and in each season in the station average; and Obtain the area of each phycoculture area that is classified based on the interaction between daily growth rate, season and station. The method of analysis of seaweed LPH was introduced into a randomized block design and continued with the Duncan multiple distance test used to achieve the first and second goals. Furthermore, a geographic information system analysis method is applied to achieve the third goal. As a result, there is a real distance between LPH seaweed between stations 2 and 11 in one season average. Likewise between the two with several other stations. While between stations 3, 1, 10, 6, 7 and 9 there is no real difference distance. Same with stations 13, 8, 4 and 5, but this group of stations is different from other groups of stations. On the other hand, there is a real distance between LPH in East, Transition and Western Season in station average. LPH is best found in East Season, followed by Transmission, following the West. Based on the interaction between LPH, seasons and stations there is a classification of coastal waters for a well-stable phycoculture (KSB) business of around 2557 ha and a good dominant (KDB) of around 180 ha in a cycle of seasonal changes. The rest, there are around 3209 ha as an area of cultivation that is not yet stable (KSBB).
