Abstract

The study objective was to determine the distribution in the area of ​​ Damar  in the concession area. PT. Rio Tinto, and how the ownership and control of Damar  on the perspective of the community (local rule) and the government (state). Data collection techniques, interviews, participatory observation and FGDs (focus Grouf disscusion. Qualitative data analysis approach based on a research study issues described in the narrative. The results to found that the distribution of Damar in the village location Lalomerui divided into 13 locations in the Matamehu, Matamehu, Tawe, Mupute, Matarombeo, EMEA, Tabininda, Dambata, Tinangalewe, Lalobalo, Lamewua, Lalonbae and Watupali. This location is in the area around the mining project. Rio Tinto and the resin of some locations are in the project. resin ownership by the community as use rights, obtained by inheritance from parents and open a new location that had not been processed. In general, the limit control resin bounded by rivers, mountains and valleys, in addition to the topographic information is also known to be a possession limit of fellow Damar processing.   Key words : Damar, Ownership, Use Rights, Local Rule

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the model of communication in achieving accelerated adoption of technology control bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment in Southeast Sulawesi, identified and analyze multiple communication methods to support acceleration of the achievement of the adoption of control bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment in Southeast Sulawesi and analyze and formulate a model of communication and effective communication methods to support acceleration of the achievement of site-specific technology adoption controlling bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment Southeast Sulawesi, research. This study was conducted in 2012 in Southeast Sulawesi Kolaka. Siting done purposively, sampling randomly determined from a number of farmers.  This study is a survey research combined with quasi-experimental studies. Analisys descriptive and quantitative data. The results showed that the specific communication models to be applied to accelerate the deployment of information technology is the control of bacterial wilt of participatory interactive communication model, this model is based on the needs of the communicator and the communicant; media interest by farmers as a medium of information technology is accelerating print leaflets and polders, the media contains short and brief information so as to increase the knowledge of farmers, is small so its easy to go everywhere below, can be read again and again whenever necessary, and does not require any device or other means of support when using the communication and application of the model can be implemented and continuous effective if done in coordination with relevant parties ie trainers, farmers and researchers.   Keywords: communication models, methods, patchouli disease

Abstract

One of the success factors of agricultural development in region is how agricultural development planned well. Determination of leading sector is an important activity for the preparation of agricultural development planning. Investment is the driving force of economic growth. With limited government and community funds, then the efficiency and effectiveness of investments aimed at mainstay sectors or commodities. Mainstay sector is the sector that can attract and encourage other economic sectors so that all economic sectors able articulates economic growth, create employment opportunities, increase income, reduce the incidence of poverty. Without any information about where or commodity sector where appropriate to be developed, then the agricultural development plan is ineffective and inefficient as well as development targets are not achieved. The study aims to: (a) formulating criteria mainstay sector, (b) identify the mainstay sector and, (c) identify the location of the agricultural seed sector by combining the information with the results of AEZ assessment. Determination sector or commodity approach Input-Output analysis and in-overlay it with the map AEZ (Agroecological Zone) (especially for the agricultural sector). The results of the study recommends that the selection of sectors/commodity sector development policy/commodity concerned in Merauke District is highly dependent on the problems facing the region. Given the poverty and scarcity of labor is still a major problem in this area, it is advisable sector/commodity which is developed sectors/commodities that have high multiplier value but low employment multipliers. Sectors which are qualified fisheries and agriculture. Furthermore, this study suggested that local governments make investments based on the landing area map and location of the potential development of the agricultural sector each district is already available from this study.

Abstract

The technology development right now extended to human culture, specially LaGili’s human culture. The technology existed in agriculture activity were using the chemical for fertilizer and to control the pest, plant disease, and weed with innovation and adoption the modern agriculture of technology. The research purpose to examine the impact of technology weed control on LaGili's human culture with perception method. This research consists dependent variable ie education degree, farmer’s experience and farmer’s participation in the league. The independent variable is a farmers participation to adoption technology of weed control ie farmers be present, farmer’s ability and farmer’s suggestion. The research result shows that’s 53.33 % respondent,s degree of education is base school, 33 % secondary school and high school with 13.33 % is a degree or academic. The respondent’s experience in farmer is a low middle category as 63.33 %. The respondent’s participation in informal is low as 70 % or 21 respondent were not following a farmers group. The respondent’s participation in adoption and planning to technology weed control ie using herbicide is highest as 63.33 %.

Abstract

The factors that relate to emotional intelligence and performance of food crop agriculture extension in the agricultural extension central, fisheries and forestry in Lambuya Subdistrict, Konawe Regency”. The research objectives to know the level of intelligence food crop agriculture extension, and to know the factors that relate to emotional intelligence with the performance of food crop agriculture extension in the agricultural extension central, fisheries and forestry (BP3K) Lambuya Subdistrict, Konawe Regency. The achievement of research objectives done by taking two variables namely emotional intelligence variable which includes: (to know self emotional, managing emotions and to motivate themselves, to identify emotions in others, developing relationships with others) and performance of field agriculture extension which includes: (the quality and quantity of work, the knowledge and job skills, creativity, cooperation, and initiative). The sampling is done by using saturated (census) method sampling. The emotional intelligence level and performance of extension can be determined by using the interval equation. Whereas to know the relationship emotional intelligence and performance of Food Crop Agriculture Extension used rank Spearman correlation analysis. The research result shows that there is a factor that relates to emotional intelligence and performance of food crop agriculture extension which includes: developing self-relationships classified always with the percentage (42, 85%), have a significant relationship to performance of food crop agriculture extension whereas to know emotions, managing emotions variable, motivate self and to identify emotion in others, did not have a significant relationship .

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the community participation in the implementation of development planning deliberation. The research method used is combined with methods (mixed methods). The sample interviewed in the quantitative approach was as many as 60 people and informants who were interviewed in-depth qualitative approach as many as 16 people. The results showed that the community participation in the implementation of development planning deliberation has been going well. Implementation of development planning deliberation has met most of the elements of community participation were examined.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the number of investment expenses and analyze the technical and financial feasibility fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe. research conducted in November of 2009. Data analyzed by (1) Net Present Value (NPV), (2) Internal Rate of Return (IRR), (3) Net Benefit Cost Ratio (NBCR), (4) Sensitivity Analysis. Based on research results can be concluded : (1). south Konawe technically possible to host the fattening of Bali cattle, because conditions in accordance with technical requirements cultivation and cultivation of grass feed beef cattle, (2) the cost of fish per year investment in 1200 amounted to Rp 3,029,547,500 which is used to open the garden 4.5 hectares of grass, grass seeds king grass, build a cow shed, office buildings, warehouses, supporting infrastructure, and machinery and equipment, (3) The financial analysis showed that fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe feasible with NPV Rp 7,678,359,025, IRR of 44.20% and NBCR Rp 3.09 (4) results of sensitivity analysis showed that fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe remain viable despite a 10% increase in costs or decrease benefits by 10%, and (5) fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe Regency positive impact that can not be measured with money that is: improvement of soil fertility, labor absorption, and increased knowledge to farmers on how to properly cultivate Bali cattle.

Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this study was to determine the effect of social capital on decision making for the welfare of micro-business women in the Kendari Korem Market. Location of research at Kendari Korem Market. The population in this study were all Micro Business Women who work as vegetable sellers at Kendari Korem Market, which numbered 115 people and the sample determination used Slovin formula as many as 50 people. The method used in sampling is done by Simple Random Sampling. The variables observed in this study were the identity of the respondents in this study, namely age, education level, number of family dependents, business experience. Social capital variables that include trust (trust), network (social network), norms (norms) that exist in the community/self someone. Data analysis in this study used covariant-based structural equation modeling analysis. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the trust and network of micro businesswomen in the Kendari Korem Market directly influence the decision making and norms of micro-business women not to have an influence on decision making. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that micro businesswomen in the korem kendari market increase the values of social capital in decision making to improve their welfare

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know: (1) income obtained from seaweed business in Bungin Permai Village, Tinanggea Subdistrict, South Konawe Regency (2) seaweed farming in Bungin Permai Village, Tinanggea Sub-District, South Konawe Regency. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The population of this study is 233 seaweed farmers. The sample determination uses simple random sampling technique. The number of samples in this study were 37 respondents, thesample size was determined by referring to the Slovin formula. The results of this study indicate (1) The average income of farmers respondents on seaweed farming in one production process that is Rp11.412.683 (2) With R / C of 7.353 means seaweed farming profitable and feasible to be developed and the use of production costs efficient.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine community participation in regional development in Katobu District, Muna Regency. (2) to find out the factors that influence community participation in regional development in Katobu District, Muna Regency. The data analysis method used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the level of community participation had a very important influence on the implementation of regional development in Batalaiworu District, Muna Regency, especially in terms of the 4 dimensions of participation, namely: (1) regional development planning/formulation dimensions; (2) implementing regional development; (3) utilization of regional development results; (4) assessment of the results of regional development. Community participation provides a positive response to regional development. Realization of the implementation of regional development, both physical and non-physical development provides a positive response or good category for regional development. Some of the factors driving community participation in regional development include (1) communication factors and well-structured government structures from the village/village level to have a positive effect; (2) political factors and human resources become inhibiting factors in the implementation of regional development in Katobu District, Muna district.
