Abstract

Construction of farm groups are more directed to an application of agribusiness system, improvement role, farmer participation with other villagers by improving the corporation between group farm members as weel as the corporation among the farm groups in order to improving their farm produce. Beside that, constructing and developing the dynamic of the groups are expected to help finding the potential, finding the more effectively agricultural solutions for the farm group and easier way to access market information, technology information, financial and other sources information. Good corporation between the group members and also between the groups is the most important thing in reaching the goal which is raising up the farm production. With good corporation also can handle any kinds of conflict between the group member and also between the groups.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out the composition, structure, and the ecological value of the types of trees in the exploitation zone of the National Wasur Park. The method used was square method, documentation, and literary study. Type variety index of Shannon-Wiener was employed to determine the variety types of the trees. The result of the research and data analysis showed that at the big tree category there were 16 types, 8 families, and 76 individuals. Meanwhile, at the small tree category, there were 12 types, 8 families, and 71 individuals. Analyzing the height structure, it was found out that Lophostemon lactifluus (F. Muell) Peter G. Wilson & J.T. Waterh (INP 54.74%) was the highest INP at the big tree category. Meanwhile, at the small tree category, the highest INP was Planchonia careya (F. Muell) R. Knuth (INP 68.82%). Therefore, the vegetation in the exploitation zone was considered as the Lophostemon lactifluus (F. Muell) Peter G. Wilson & J.T. Waterh and Planchonia careya (F. Muell) R. Knuth. The type variety index (H’) at the big tree and the small tree category were 2.43 and 2.9 respectively. These indexes were considered low. The ecological values of the forest were as the water diffusion area, system prop of life, and habitat of some animals such as various insect types, mammals and birds.

Abstract

The Pandanus conoideus Lamk. as a source of oil . The ekstrack get from Pandanus conoideus Lamk. oil. Although the function of pasta in estract still not maximum. Function of pasta still limited and usually use for animal food and sometimes we didn’t use anymore pasta ekstrack oil still contain oil so it is gessing contain beta –karoten and have a smooth texture and it is important to make jam.The poupouse from this research is experimentation method. This research consists of one way to formulate the jam. The arrangement using complete random,consist of this research, we can conclude that jam formulation.From the result of this research ,we can conclude that jam formulation pandanus conoideus lank wich the writer prefers is F4 that contain of composition pasta 41,03 %, sugar 37,30 % (pasta ,sugar;55% :45 % gelatin 0,10 % sitrate acid 0,10 % essence cocopandan 0,2 % and water 25% with the range of the colours score 3,9 (netral-like). Gelatin as stabiliter for the best jam from pandanus conoideuslank and lowerstabilizer because the ability gel form and thigten water during heating compare with pectin.

Abstract

The purpose of research is the comparison between body and percentage of charkas also percentage others parts like charkas bandicoot child and adult. The result of this research we hope that can be use as the first information and try to take care for animal and future. Abstract

Pest attack in plant agriculture can damage plants or failed harvest. To handle damage in plant need to protect the plant from damage from the several way to handle the pest we can done.  The farmers on focus to use the pesticide several product in research showing the damage in happened in environment.  Because they use of pesticide, residue in chemistry product if we consume can get bad effect for the human being and animal.  If we compare with the other way the used other non chemistry pesticide is the best way to use by farmer.  Because the kinds of pesticide can be made by the farmer themselves, beside that the used of pesticide isn’t damage in environment.  The application technique is not different if the farmer used chemistry pesticide, that’s using the way of spreading.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the physiological responses of bali cattle (Bos javanicus) in response to weather changes in Merauke district. The experiment was carried out in  Wasur Village II, Merauke district. Twelve bali cattle (age rangedbetween 2-5 years) were used in this study. Every morning during the study periode, animalswere removed from the cage and placed in the ranch and in the evening they sent back into the cage. Microclimate data were recorded around the research station where cattles were  located during 8 am until 4 pm, included dry bulb temperature, wet bulb temperature, wind speed, and solar radiation. Relative humidity (RH) and Temperature Humidity Index (THI) were also calculated. The physiological responses (rectal temperature, skin temerature, body temperature, respiration rate, and pulse rate) of  bali cattles were monitored every 21 days between April and May. Data were analyzed using the repeated measurement GLM procedure. Bali cattle in this study had a thermoregulatory ability.The different weather between west monsoon on April and east monsoon on May were showed that bali cattles were able to maintain the physiological responses during monsoon changed. Bali cattle were able to maintain their physiological responses within different weather condition, west monsoon on April and east monsoon on May.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an overview of the implementation of the marketing system of local rice is happening in the district Semangga. The process starts from the farmers, small businessmen, big businessmen and public institutions in the fields of rice, as well as the consumer end of the receiver channel. The study was conducted in April to June 2007 using descriptive methods with interviews techniques directly to the farmer and secondary data collection to the relevant stakeholders. Data were analyzed by tabulation. Primary data was taken on 5 (five) villages in the district Semangga. There are Muram Sari village, Waninggap Kai village, Marga Mulya village, Semangga Jaya village and Bahor village. Secondary data obtained from several related instasi such as the Dinas Tanaman Pangan Kabupaten Merauke and Perum Bulog Sub Divisi Regional Merauke. Local distribution of rice which is managed by the private sector in the District Semangga same as those applied in Indonesia in general the market is through 1st collector (rice mill), 2nd collector (wholesalers/wholesale) and sales/distribution end such as market. The locally rice marketing channel by government in District Semangga is broadly similar. Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of rheological properties of cream to energy losses that occured during transporting process. In addition, this research was conducted by using a computer programming designed for calculating and analysing any complicated data. Those rheological properties were derived from analysis in the laboratory, such as viscosity from any kind of cream. Results analysed by a computer programming revealed that flow behaviour Index (n) and consistency coefficient (m) were the rheological properties interacting with each other since these parameters were the viscosity of cream that influences energy losses in the transport system. Once the total of energy losses was obtained from the system, the pump power required for transfering the product also can be known. Based on the simulation conducted by using rheological parameters of cream with consistency coefficient of 4.5 PaSn, and flow behaviour Index at 0.772 was obtained total energy losses at 282.76 J/kg with the pump power requirement at 0.285 kW. Once consistency coefficient was 7.16 PaSn, and flow behaviour Index was at around 0.768, the total of energy losses increased to 426.30 J/Kg with pump power requirement at 426.30 J/Kg

Abstract

This research aim to (1) find out the condition of  coastal area of Merauke Regency, and (2) arrange the mangement strategy of coastal area of Merauke Regency. This research was carried out the coastal area of Merauke Regency.  The method used was descriptive qualitative analysis. The primary data were obtained throught direct observation, interview, and questionnare, while the secondary data were collected through llibrary research and obtained from related institutions, goverment, and agencies.  The suporting data were charts, general condition of research locations, weather, and other.  A’WOT method which was the combination of AHP (analytical hierarchy process) and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) were used to determine alternative guidance of policy strategies. The results show that to achieve the management policy by Local Government of Merauke Regency has not shown result which are positive, haves the character of sectoral and less integrated. To reach management of going concern Merauke Regency coastal area, it is necessary to implementation strategy guidance involving  on strategy  that need to be done is the reinforcement of conservation program bases on public (0,70) the Improvement of stakeholders roles (0,65), the Improvement of participation of public in conservation of coastal area (0,60), the Improvement of quality of coastal area public SDM (0,50), the Improvement of enableness public economics around coastal area (0,45), and the Improvement of law and institution (0,40).

Abstract

Every region in Indonesia has a diversity of rice varieties produced and sensory quality is the most important thing noticed by consumers rice is considered by most consumers, even the public preference for rice growing. Purpose of this  research is to identify the preferences of local residents who live in the district of Merauke on rice varieties Inpari 7, 8 and Inpara 2 is being developed in Merauke. The experiment was conducted in a local village is Kampung Urumb, Waninggap Nanggo and Kampung Matara, research activities will be carried out over the past two months are September and October 2012. The main material used in this study were rice varieties Inpari 7, 8 and Inpara Inpari 2. The equipment used to support these activities, among others, such as cooking utensils, rice cooker, stir rice, plates, spoons, rice box, plastic pots. Research data will be analyzed by tabulation, data tabulation done by  data grouping according to the type of data that was obtained in the execution of the test data retrieval level of preference (preference) of processed rice into rice using hedonic test and rank test. The results of the study by using hedonic test and rank test can be concluded that 1) Aroma rice varieties Impara 2 (score of 2.17) than the most preferred local varieties aroma Inpari 8 (score 1.91) and 7 (score of 1.78). 2) Sense of rice varieties Impara 2 (score of 2.35) than the most preferred rice varieties taste Inpari 7 (score 1.96), and Inpari 8 (score 1.87). 3) Variety Impara 2 has ranked first through overal assessment using next rank test followed by Inpari 7 and 8 with the sequence of each percentage is 52%, 26% and 22%.
