Abstract

PT. Ratu Pola Bumi is one of concrete electrical standard and concrete pole with pre-tensile system, the first in Indonesia. PT Ratu Pola Bumi has a factory located in Bandar Lampung –Lampung. In order to increase the employees performance, PT Ratu Pola Bumi encourage the employees to develop themselves and do the best to upgrade their competencies, and also be discipline, so that corporation goal can be reach. Problem faced in this research is lowness of employees’ performance, competencies that unsuitable, and indiscipline. Those problems are interdependently of each other, and suspected that performance lowness is an effect of unsuitable competency and indiscipline. The main problem of this research is how competency and discipline affect performance in PT Ratu Pola Bumi. This research aims to find out the effect of competency and discipline on employees’ performance in PT Ratu Pola Bumi. Research data is collected using questionnaire and literature, while analysis using double linear regression. The collected data is processed by SPSS for Windows version 17.00. This research uses 150 respondents. The result of this research shows that competency (X1), and disciplines (X2) have positive effect on employees’ performance (Y) in PT Ratu Pola Bumi.Keywords: Competency, Discipline, Employees’ Performance

Abstract

The reception area is a source of income that must be managed properly which is useful for supporting development in the area. The strategy that has been done by PPKAD agency to increase local generated revenue can be seen in the vision and mission agency PPKAD in Strategic Management aspects. Since the last five years, the contribution of local revenue (PAD) to the local government budget (APBD) on average each year is still below 4%, and the contribution of local taxes to PAD average of 17.5% annually. This is due not optimal the efforts intensification and extension undertaken West Lampung district government in increasing local tax revenue. This research will formulate a strategy to increase local taxes in West Lampung. The method used in this research is descriptive, with a qualitative approach. Descriptive method is to make the description / picture / painting in a systematic, factual and accurate information on the facts, as well as the properties and relationships between phenomena. The direct approach is used as a basis for the formulation of a problem. While the data analysis using the SWOT analysis and Litmus test. Strategic factors that can increase local tax revenues, namely: data collection on taxpayers, cooperation with the private sector / NGOs in the management and collection of local taxes, revamping of the management of local taxes, give the sanctions for violations of local taxes, expanding tax-base of the area taxes, re-identification of the mission and mandate of the organization, Applying computerized reception area at the Department PPKAD.Keywords: pajak daerah, kontribusi, PAD, Managemen Strategi, Intensifikasi dan ekstensifikasi

Abstract

Research paradigm does not only look on the role and function LP2M in contribution to answer various problems of education in public and to recommend solution for decision maker in Kemendikbud. The strategic goal of PTS Darmajaya in 5 years (2012-2017) as analyzer unit in this research, are governance management that effective, efficient, transparent, accountable, and continue, and also management of education infrastructure. In order to reach those goals, LP2M arranges road map and master plan with various programs of research and community service for science development. LP2M serves to improve the quality of information services for students and faculty, and also in the search for alternative income by taking the advantage of the facilities and human resources in IBI Darmajaya. By support of human resources with a variety of different qualifications and skills, LP2M IBI Darmajaya take major task to synergize all of the powers into an integrated force and work as its functions.Keywords : empowerment, role, and function

Abstract

Assessment on performance of a bank is conduct by analyzing the financial statement. Bank financial statement, as balance, can give information to extern party. The information is about description of financial position, that in further can be used by the extern party to estimate the risk of a bank. In perspective of ownership, there are two groups of bank, national bank and foreign bank. Both of these groups have a tight competition in order to indicate a good performance in public eyes. This research aims to analyze financial performance of national bank and foreign bank in period of 2010-2013 using financial ratio. Population of this research is national bank and foreign bank recorded in Indonesian Bank Report of 2010-2013. The samples of this research are 30 national banks and 10 foreign banks. This research uses secondary data collecting of Banking Financial Statement from www.bi.go.id to count variables used in this research. Analysis technique used in this research is Mann-Whitney test. Mann-Whitney test is used to determine different responds of 2 data populations. This test is strongest test of non-parametric tests. The analysis shows that there is a significant difference of each financial ratio of national bank and foreign bank. National bank is better in BOPO. While foreign bank is better in CAR, LDR, & ROA.Keywords: CAR, LDR, BOPO & ROA

Abstract

Object of this thesis is the study of PT Sinar Sosro in Belfast, one distributor of tea in a bottle with the brand Botol Sosro. PT RAY SOSRO is a ready to drink tea in bottles of the first in Indonesia and in the world. SOSRO is the pioneer of tea ready to drink products in the packaging of the first in Indonesia. The problems studied were measuring Brand Awareness study on Teh Botol Sosro product in Bandar Lampung. Teh Botol Sosro product still perceived by most people in the region known to Bandar Lampung. Indonesian society is very fond of drinking tea, the survey result from various research institutes such as AC Nielsen, MARS and SWA, since 1999 until now, shows the level of market penetration for the tea reaches more than 95%. That means drink tea or almost have been consumed by every member of society. The method of this research is Descriptive method is to identify and analyze Brand Awarenes, which consists of Top of Mind Brand Recall, Brand Recognition and unaware of Brand on Teh Botol Sosro product in Bandar Lampung. The method used in this study were : Research Library and Field Research. The research literature is the research done by studying literature, literature and reading books related to this thesis research. Documentation, which is used to obtain daata on the number of consumers and the sales volume and others. As for Field Research is a method of field research conducted by the method of survey is to collect data from questionnaires or interview. The results of studies on Brand Awareness Measurement on Teh Botol Sosro product in Bandar Lampung, figures obtained 51.6% of the respondents surveyed. This figure could be raised again for the better when the PT Sinar Sosro can increase brand awareness held by consumers with more incentive to do the promotion again in collaboration with others, so that consumer brand awareness has increased. In this way will further enhance consumer loyalty on Teh Botol Sosro product brand that will increase corporate profits, then the direct sales of bottled tea Sosro will increase to higher than now.Keyword: Brand Awareness, Customer, Market

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution placement, skills and empowerment of employees on work performance of employees at the Department of Fisheries of North Lampung either partially or simultaneously. Issues raised in this study are: 1) Is staffing contribute to employee job performance in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency? 2) Is the employee skills contribute to work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency? 3) Is the employee empowerment contributes to employee job performance in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency? and 4) Is the placement, skills and empowering employees jointly contribute to the work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency? This research is a quantitative study to test the hypothesis, in which the independent variables consist of staffing, employee skills, and employee empowerment, while the dependent variable is the performance of the employee. The sample used in this study amounted to 46 employees. The results of this study indicate that the placement of employees accounted for 22.47% of the work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency. Employee skills accounted for 44.49% of the work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency. Empowering employees accounted for 33.87% of the work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency. Staffing, employee skills, and employee empowerment together accounted for 62.30% of the work performance of employees in Department of Fisheries Nort Lampung Regency.Keywords: Placement of Employees, Employee Skills, Employee Empowerment, Employee Job Performance

Abstract

Mutual Fund is one of investment instrument which grows recently together with the growth of Indonesia stock market. In the growing, mutual fund starts to set Syariah principal in doing of its business. The main difference between Syariah mutual fund and conventional mutual fund is at the investment policy and the investor’s type. The aim of this study is to know whether there is a difference between Syariah mutual fund performance and conventional mutual fund. The population in this study is the mutual fund which is managed by Investment manager who manages the two sub Syariah mutual fund category and stock type conventional. Analysis method uses comparative method and average difference test by using independent sample t-test method through SPSS and Sharpe method to decide the best stock mutual fund rank. The research result shows that conventional stock mutual fund performance is better than Syariah stock mutual fund performance based on Sharpe method as 11.900, while based on independent sample t-test is proved that there is a significant difference between Syariah stock mutual fund performance and conventional stock mutual fund performance through the significance score as 0,012 > 0,05Key Words : Conventional Mutual Fund, Syariah Mutual Fund, Sharpe Method.

Abstract

Faktor yang mendukung keputusan wisatawanuntuk menentukan destinasi wisata merupakan hal yang penting bagi stakeholder pariwisata dalam rangka penyusunan strategi pemasaran kepariwisataan.Apabila stakeholder pariwisata mampu mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor ini, maka lebih mudah untuk menfokuskan perencanan strategi pemasaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen.Destinasi wisatanya memiliki kemungkinan yang lebih tinggi untuk dipilih oleh wisatawan domestik.Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pemilihan destinasi wisata bagi wisatawan domestik nusantara di Indonesia dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang paling penting atau dominan mempengaruhi keputusan pemilihan destinasi wisata bagi wisatawan domestik nusantara di Indonesia.Keutamaan penelitian ini adalah memberikan dasar bagi stakeholder dalam penyusunan strategi pemasaran pariwisata yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan keinginan paling penting dari wisatawan domestik nusantara di Indonesia.Penelitian ini dimulai dengan me-list 24 faktor yang paling sering dipertimbangkan oleh wisatawan domestik nusantara pada saat menentukan pemilihan destinasi wisata. Kemudian metode iterasi Cochran Q Test didapatkan 15 faktor yang paling penting dengan faktor Motivasi Personal menduduki peringkat nomor 1 faktor yang paling penting dan perlu dipertimbangkan saat menentukan destinasi wisata. Selain itu didapatkan media pemasaran dan promosi yang menjadi favorit bagi para wisatawan domestik nusantara untuk mencari info wisata adalah penggunaan internet, Words of Mouth/Rekomendasi dari teman, kerabat, kolega, Smartphone dan TV.

Abstract

All companies generally have a strategy to advance the company, it requires good communication skills between superiors and subordinates to avoid misunderstandings. In addition to good communication skills between superiors and subordinates in an organization, the ability of superiors to lead an organization is also needed. Leadership is important in every organization, because this is the leader factor that determines the success or failure of an organization, therefore the company must be able to optimize the performance of its employees, company performance will achieve satisfactory results in the company if there is good communication, effective leadership and motivation good work too. With good performance, the company will be able to compete in the industry. This study aims to determine how much the relationship between leadership style, interpersonal communication on employee job satisfaction and its effect on employee performance. The method used in this study is path analysis with the help of SPSS version 21. The results of this study indicate that the relationship of leadership style to employee job satisfaction has a contribution of 0.24, the relationship of leadership style to employee performance has a contribution of 0.279, the relationship between interpersonal communication and satisfaction employee work has a contribution of 0.131, the relationship of interpersonal communication to employee performance has a contribution of 0.448, the relationship of employee job satisfaction to employee performance has a contribution of 0.185. While for the total influence between leadership style through employee job satisfaction on employee performance has a contribution of 0.323 and interpersonal communication through employee job satisfaction on employee performance has a contribution of 0.472Keywords — leadership style, interpersonal communication, employee job satisfaction, employee performance

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of organizational culture, competence, and performance both partially and simultaneously.The method used in this research is verification method. The object population of the study was 62 employees, sampling using census methods. The findings in this study are partially first; Organizational culture contributes positively to employee performance by 22%, secondly the influence of competence on employee performance is 41%, while simultaneously the influence of organizational culture and competence on performance is 63.1%.One of management's efforts in improving employee performance needs to pay attention to introducing organizational culture by way of new employee orientation and competence by providing training that supports work such as communication and negotiation training. Whereas for further research can expand the object of research or add variables and other indicators that affect employee performance.With the disclosure of these variables, it will enrich the references regarding Organizational Culture and Competence to the Bank Jabar Banten Employee Performance variable. It is hoped that later the resulting data can further reveal the variables under study so as to further strengthen and enrich the results of the research.Keywords: Organizational Culture, Competence, Employee Performance.
