Abstract

Abstract. Medicine plants have become cultural heritage of traditional medication which are known since the past time and conserved hereditary. Meanwhile all of those plants have not been processed and used optimally; only some processes have been used. Blimbing wuluh process is relatively new developed especially by Tani Candirejo Group at Genteng Subdistrict. Blimbling wuluh syrup marketing is still limited on bazar and exhibitions, or orders from consumers. Likewise the production process is still done very manually, moreover the uninteresting package. The performance of blimbing wuluh beverage along this time is with plastic glass and non-permanently cup, or syrup in bottle without seal. This condition is less desired by consumers. Besides, not all of these small enterprises apply accountancy or entrepreneur noting. Small enterprise access and horizon in making use of market is also still lacking. Based on these problems, the solutions offered and agreed together are supplyings of semiautomatic cup sealer machine, metal and plastic screw bottle cup machine, and semiautomatic seal tool, increasing of medicine plant process production (belimbing wuluh, seasons, and rosella), increasing of capabilities in entrepreneur management and marketing strategy, and training of orderly accountancy and entrepreneur noting. The methods of training and accompaniment are done through Learning By Doing, and Participative Method. Key words: production process, package, marketing strategy, accountancy and entrepreneur noting

Abstract

Sumberingin village, district of Sanankulon,  Blitar city, East Java is one of the village that became center of poultry farms. This potential large farm was driving to the emergence of  trade syndicate system of feed manufacturers, so it's easy playing the price and availability of animal feed. Beside that the spreading of  low-quality animal feed was also being a potential problem. These conditions caused the farmers of suffering  loss and even getting out of business. An  observation indicated that the local area is a producer of potential animal feed raw materials such as tubers, legumes, tofu, soybean, molasses and bekicot/snails. Formulation science and technology of high quality animal food is needed by the farmers and it is a form of technology transfer to farmers group "Mandiri" in Sumberingin village, Sanankulon, Blitar. The availability of mechanical machines in the form of dishmill production machine, mixer, mold and dryer are beneficial to farmers. These machines can increase productivity as well as quality of their products. In addition it is also expected to decresase the quail mortality rate due to new feed formulation. It can raise the quail immunity exposure to stress and disease. Various species of medicinal plants, especially pike (Phyllantusbuxifolius), known to be iimmuno stimulant are widely available in the local village. They are easily planted and cultivated so that the transfer of science and technology of medicinal plants can be beneficially conducted. The outcomes of this program include: (1) the product of nutrient animal feed is available as needed, relatively inexpensive, can improve the quail immunity and can be produced on an ongoing basis by independent farmers. (2) an ergonomic feed production machine, relatively inexpensive, functional, appropriate and easy to operate can be owned by farmers to produce functional animal feed for the quails. Abstract

Handicraft industry in Surabaya had grown 7% -10% in the last two years. One Small and Middle Enterprise engaged in handicraft in Surabaya is KSM "Kedurus prosperous" or "Welfare". KSM worked on patchwork combined with a variety of fabrics to make various handicrafts. The problem was the capability of production was still very limited due to the lack of owned equipment. To overcome the problem the implementer partner conducted some activities including: supplying the needed machinery and equipment; training skills to use tools and machines applying learning by doing method;  assisting marketing process by: training techniques and marketing strategy - making media marketing, brochures, banners. The achieved results were: buying 2 units of Wolking-foot machine for 2 Partners,  buying 2 unit mowers for 2 Partners; buying 2 units of measuring and cutting tables for 2 partners; printing brochures as many as 1000 pieces and 2 banners; as well as the training of use equipment and machine and the training of bookkeeping and entrepreneurship, marketing and business management. To conclude, the activity IbM is very helpful for those who did the creative economy of small businesses such as patchwork handicraft in Surabaya to improve the quality and quantity of their products.Key words : Patchwork handicraft,  KSM “ Kedurus Sejahtera”

Abstract

chips Household Industry in Wonodadi Kulon-Pacitan village has a good prospect, it is because in the area and its surroundings have quite abundant raw materials. Long enough household businesses was developed by a group of villagers, but the development of this business is still very slow, it is possible because the business is run as a sideline. With a variety of approaches and provides an insight into this business opportunity, through IbM program, partners started running this business more seriously, and to make this effort as part of family activities for their livelihood. The group wants to spread to a wider market, then the team IbM provide assistance in terms of business management, financial and marketing. On the other hand, the team IbM provide additional technology is the method of cooking vacuum (vacuum frying). This technology is appropriate given with respect to the amount of fruit that has a fairly expensive price such as mango, pineapple, papaya, durian and bark generated this area. With the harvest is abundant and it price is cheap, then the partner is expected to help farmers to receive the crops which is then processed into fruit chips which have a higher selling price. To support the sales and make consumers more interested, then the appearance of the product to be one of arable IbM team. Therefore, IbM team gave a training to make packaging labels. Abstract

Herbal medicine from Madura Island, East Java Province has been known for a long time. Aside from being a medicine, herbs are also often drink as fresh healthy beverage, especially herbal carrying, but the problem of carrying medicinal is perishable product, which only survive within a day so that if it is not sale will be discarded. One of central medicinal to be developed "Putri Pahlawan" which has about 18 members who require assistance in improving the product in order to compete with other medicinal products. This Community services activities was done by providing assistance in the field of improving the quality of production, the application of appropriate technology, marketing training and financial bookkeeping. The results achieved that the 18 members of the group Small Medium Industrial (SMIs) “Putri Pahlawan” consists of nine (9) SMIs carrying medicinal have received Cup Sealer for packing herbs carry for easy marketed in stores and 9 (nine) SMIs Herbal medicine packaging, have been received tool Inpulse Sealer, besides that they have also been given training to make herb with good taste nutritious, hygienes and durable, able to package their products with better and highly competitive, able to market products and conduct financial accounting properly.Keywords: Improved product quality, Appropriate Technology, and Marketing

Abstract

“Sumber Rejeki” micro owner is Mr.Suwito and Mr. Adi Suprianto which located at Desa Cangkring Kecamatan Ngadirojo Kabupaten Pacitan. This business has been established in 2007 and operated in the field of business Kolong Klitik. The main problems faced through “Sumber Rejeki” micro business are the quantity of production is not optimal yet and both could’nt make financial bookkeeping business and less distribution. By using science and technology from the Ipteks bagi Masyarakat (IbM) can be expected improving the quantity and quality of Kolong Klitik production, as well as to make financial efforts and to expand marketing network.Keywords : Production, Finance and Marketing.

Abstract

Pompa hidram merupakan salah satu pompa air yang hemat energi dan ramah lingkungan. Pompa hidram merupakan teknologi tepat guna dalam bidang pemompaan dengan menggunakan tenaga momentum air (water hammer) untuk menaikkan air, sehingga pompa hidram salah satu pompa air yang tidak menggunakan BBM dan listrik. Efektivitas kinerja pompa hidram dipengaruhi oleh beberapa parameter antara lain diameter pipa, tinggi jatuhan air ( reservoir) , katub buang, tabung udara pada pompa hidram, panjang pipa inlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan menganalisa pengaruh tinggi jatuhan air  pada pompa hidram terhadap debit pompa dan tinggi pemompaan. Metode penelitian ini melalui perancangan instalasi pompa hidram dan pengamatan pengaruh ukuran tinggi jatuhan air (2,9 m, 3,2 m, 3,5 m ),  terhadap nilai tekanan (H) pompa hidram. Pengujian ini dilakukan di LAB Proses Produksi (PP) Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya. Semakin tinggi jatuhan air pada pompa hidram, maka heda tekan pada pompa hidram  yang dihasilkan akan semakin tinggi. Jadi nilai tekanan yang ada di dalam pompa hidram dengan nilai yang lebih maksimal adalah head yang di hasilkan dengan nilai rata – rata (H) 17 bar atau setara 173 m dengan pipa output 0,5 inchi dan debit air yang dihasilkan dengan rata – rata (Q) 6,7 liter/menit. Hal ini disebabkan karena momen tumbukan air yang terbesar pada ketinggian jatuhan 3,5 m.Kata kunci : Pompa Hidram

Abstract

Competitive advantage is the development of the value created by a business is able to buyers or advantage over competitors gained by delivering greater customer value. Competitive advantages due to the choice of the strategy undertaken by an attempt to seize the market. Strategies to gain a competitive advantage is cost leadership, differentiation, and focus. There are several strategies to develop business coffee shop in order to gain a competitive advantage, namely by placing a banner, make a list of menus, providing free wifi facilities, Television, add equipment to drink coffee, add seating add to the table, providing storefront to put merchandise, repair buildings, painting again, keep records of business, process the coffee powder with roasted and milled coffee machine and raise capital in the form of merchandise. This strategy is done because coffee is a customer favorite drink regularly booked, the atmosphere of the coffee shop of choice, and customers come to the coffee shop to stay up to a few tens of minutes over coffee. The coffee shop is not just a cup of coffee, but a place to socialize. Through this strategy is expected to increase the number of customers, increased revenue and ultimately grow profits coffee shop smack Udin and Yuk Kastoyah. As a micro business owners, then they are free to choose the type of coffee used. Abstract

Soil as the foundation of a building must have a carrying capacity that is capable of supporting the load of the building on it. For this type of soil of clay that has a large shrinkage and development properties (expansive clays) as a result of which contained mineral montmorillonite minerals form very easily affected by changes in water content so easily expands further damaging buildings on it. To reduce the fluffy nature of clay is necessary to repair / stabilization by adding mix-husk ash and lime. In this study, carried out by the addition of a mix-husk ash and lime with variations in the percentage of 0%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The results show the value of plasticity index, IP, decreased by 59.35% on a mix-husk ash and lime at 6%, the greater the percentage of mix-husk ash and lime, dry density value,  increasing dry unit weight, decreasing swelling occurs quite 4% greater in percentage mix-husk ash and lime, the CBR value increased with the increasing percentage-husk ash and lime.Keywords: expansive clay, montmorillonite minerals, plasticity index, swelling, dry density, CBR.
