Abstract

Abstraksi Kenyataan sejarah tidak dapat dipungkiri, bahwa Republik Maluku Selatan (RMS) pernah "hidup" di Ambon ( Maluku tengah pada umumnya), walaupun tidak lama. Bagi para aktivis RMS, kenyataan sejarah juga membuktikan bahwa RMS bukanlah gerakan separatis" seperti yang dipikirkan banyak orang saat ini. RMS menurut mereka, didirikan, "sebelum" negara Kesatuan RI, menjadi seperti yang sekarang ini, dengan wilayah kesatuan dari Sabang sampai ke Merauke. Konflik-konflik di Maluku disinyalir juga ada keterlibatan RMS. Eksistensi gerakan RMS makin menguat. Didalam negeri hari kelahiran RMS selalu diperingati setiap tanggal 25 April, sedangkan dalam konteks global mereka memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi media, untuk memperoleh dukungan di dunia internasional. Tokoh-tokoh RMS juga masih ada di Belanda dan terus mendukung perjuangan RMS di Maluku. Gerakan ini tidak bisa dipandang sebelah mata oleh pemerintah RI, karena menyangkut keutuhan wilayah dan keberadaan NKRI. Kata kunci: Separatisme, Konflik Maluku, Tokoh RMS

Abstract

Abstract This article examines the process of democratic transition that took place in several countries, especially Indonesia. Where is the democratic transition is the collapse of authoritarian regimes, the situation toward a democratic regime. But in reality it is not got to the transition towards a democratic regime, but can return to an authoritarian regime where there is a failure in the process of consolidating civilian, even a democratic transition happens now is controlled by the democratic form of market neo-liberalism. Indonesia is no exception to the democratic transition by adherence to a market democracy. Keywords: transition to democracy, authoritarian, democratic market

Abstract

Abstract Policy is an instrument of government, not just in the sense of government as state officials, but also various forms of governance that touches both private institutions, businesses, and civil society. If they are not involved in government policy, some institutional forms as mention above will be resistant to the policy. This paper reviews resistance about the government's policy in Mengwi terminal operations. Start at 22nd of June 2012, through decree number SK.1543/AJ.106/DR JD in 2012, the government of Badung regency which is related to its ranks; government of Denpasar, Bali's provincial and central government decided that Mengwi terminal operated. However, operationally decision, not necessarily get a positive response from the object being regulated. It is caused, they are not engaged by the Badung regency government in their policy development terminal. As a result, the terminal is operated only half-heartedly by the holders discretion. Abstract

Abstract The research was held to investigate India goverment policy in military industry development toward Bangalore silicon valley area as information technology military industry cluster for anticipate revolution on military affairs. India silicon valley development had different type, partnership system with local firm and MNC had roled as pathway to technology transfer and human capital. The novelty is lied on its description about military industry, technology cluster and developmentalist state theory. The cluster is used as development vehicle that could answer sectoral issues especially on military, and information technology because of its technology venture gave power to attain economic diplomacy. The recent researches explored that issue but in fragmented ways, while as general silicon valley was identical with capitalist and neoliberal, but with economic diplomacy, developmentalist state could utilize behind policy to its military industry Keywords : military industry, technology cluster, developmentalist state theory

Abstract

Abstract This paper describes about the involvement of international actors in deforestation in Indonesia. These international actors are classified into two main actor that are International Fund institutions and International creditors. International actors involved in deforestation started when Indonesia passed out the foreign investment policy, which allows any kinds of investment operate in Indonesia development and economic activities. These policies resulted and become Indonesian foreign debts. Private debts to the International creditors such as ECA (Export Credit Agency), in fact was not able to be repaid by the logging companies punctually. These cases were seen in PT. RAPP and PT Indah Kiat debts. Beside those factors above, decentralization of forest management which was started on 2001 resulted in contra productive policies due to insufficient law and legal instrument to accommodate the low enforcement of sustainable development in forestry sector As the solution for private debts, Indonesia government received loan from International donor such as CGI, IMF and World Bank. Those international donors imposed some structural adjustment programs and pushed Indonesia’s economic more liberal.   This policy return in further exploitation of Indonesia’s forest and again resulted in deforestation. Abstract

Abstrak Age children are sacred. They are the future assets. But the conflict has always made ​​them as victims. One of the children who drowned in the darkness of future war is a conflict. We witnessed how cruel conflict in Palestine-Israel war, the war in Iraq, the war in Yemen, War in the Congo, Conflict in Aceh, and several other areas. Thousands of children have been victims. Some are dead, wounded, lost relatives, and or disability. Their future is bleak. Therefore, the regulations, the children are always privileged protection. Included in the Geneva Convention, which is an international war rules. Children must be protected, and not involved in the conflict of war. If there is a violation, then the appropriate parties involved need to be prosecuted and tried according mikanisme fair trial. One of the trial is the International Criminal Court (ICC). Abstrct This paper aims to design a local strategy to decrease the economic disparities in Southeast Asia to build a foundation for the ASEAN Economic Community 2015 (AEC 2015). The argument in this paper was prepared on the assumption, that the region's economic liberalization was not accompanied by the readiness of the local economy will produce gaps. Abstract

AbstractHuman rights emerged as a global issue at least the post-cold war. Almost all countries in the world recognized human rights principles. Various attempts were made by countries and various International Non-Governmental Organizations who are committed to upholding the values of human rights. Through multilateral negotiations involving the mass media; interestgroups and pressor groups; the academics and civil society to to promote and declare the values of human rights. But, political realism of states in the pursuit of national interests oftenignore the values of human right. The economic growth of India and China are very progressive and make these countries need access to markets, raw materials and energy. those Insistenceencourage the two government closer to the military junta in Myanmar. Though junta in Myanmar to be an actor severe human rights violations. This article came to the conclusion, thegovernment's commitment to the enforcement of human rights shifted when in conflict with economic interests. Two records that appear are: first, the rate of the Indian economy and Chinahas implications for both countries increasingly indifferent to the affairs of human rights in Myanmar; second, there is a symbiotic mutualism relationship between the two countries with Myanmar that could potentially hinder the enforcement of human rights, especially in Myanmar.Keywords: Realism, development, human rights.

Abstract

The Conflict in Mexico rising in several years later becomes one of the most deadly conflicts on earth. The clash between drug cartels and the state police has took many lives. The government policy to take war on the cartels since Felipe Calderon took charge in 2006 which contributing for the escalation of conflict between the two parties. Clash between interests by cartels and the USA-Mexico government lead every party protecting their own interest from threat. To protect this, cartels armed them self with weapons which stronger than the Mexican government police and army weapon. With this condition bloody clash between parties unavoidable which lead Mexico in to the deadliest conflict against transnational organized crimes? The challenge concern about drug cartels seems very difficult since every party have interest especially about business. What is the USA national interest in Mexico and how do they protect the interest? What are Mexico government interest and also the interest of drug cartel in Mexico-USA border? This paper will discuss about the business and conflict in Mexico, especially since the war against drug cartels policy made by Calderon in 2006.
