Abstract

The manuscript of Teungku Khatib Langgien that can be included in tasawuf category is one of cultural heritages for this nation. This must be taken into account since there are two undeniable reasons emerge. First, the condition of this manuscript is in bad condition and will be disappeared in a short time. Second, writing tradition of this manuscript becomes difficult to read while its contents provide absolutely valuable information and knowledge for the readers. Therefore, one of the ways to keep this cultural heritage is by performing research on codicological perspective. The purpose of this research is to reveal all information related to history and physics of the manuscript. This research is qualitative by using descriptive analysis. The method using in this research are collectingdata through inventarisation, analyzing, and interpreting data. There are, at least, two inventions had been found in this research. First, based on the paper used in this manuscripts and its colophon, the manuscript was produced and written in 19th century. Second, European papers and ink used for a manuscript can effect the condition of the manuscript become worst. Thus, to keep alive of such this manuscript needs special conservation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate the Novaco Anger Scale (NAS) in Indonesia. NAS is a psychometric instrument to measure the emotion of anger that focuses on the theoretical dimension of the concept of emotional upset. NAS is designed to measure aspects of cognitive, physiological, impulsive behaviour respons, and angry management. NAS had previously been adapted in Sweden. Sampel used is 29 students and 67 student of the University of Persada Indonesia Jakarta (N = 96). Data analysis conducted by factor analysis, analysis of construct validity and reliability test. The results showed that the NAS adaptation has good validity and reliability.

Abstract

Namalycastis (Polychaetes: Nereididae) lives in estuarine that can be used as polluted bioindicators. Morphological abnormalities in some Polychaeta members have been found previously, whereas the abnormality Namalycastis from Indonesia has never been recorded. The aim of this research was to study the abnormality morphology of Namalycastis form Jakarta Bay (polluted sediment) and estuary Way Belau-Lampung (unpolluted sediment). There were two species of Namalycastis in both locations, i.e. N. abiuma and N. cf borealis. The abnormality of Namalycastis collection from both locations consist of five structures i.e. on antenna appendages, eyes, tentacular cirri, parapodia, and setae. The abnormality of Namalycastis collection from Jakarta Bay was higher than from Way Belau. The abnormality of parapodia and setae in this research might had resulted from the influence of polluted habitat conditions.

Abstract

Transboundary movements of hazardous waste become a hot topic nowadays. Its characteristics that areharmful to humans and the environment make this type of waste is rejected by all countries anywhere in the world,including Indonesia. This paper will explain briefly about the definition of hazardous waste, the background ofhazardous waste import ban policy, and problems in the implementation of the policy. This study applies qualitativeand descriptive method by using secondary data. There is a tendency by the developed industrial countriesfor making the poor and the developing countries as “a giant trash can” for the hazardous waste they produced.So far, Basel Convention which was organized in order to address these concerns by establishing a ban of transboundarymovements of hazardous waste, has not been able to produce a binding agreement for all countries.Indonesia, which implements hazardous waste import ban policy, not only needs to harmonize all the rules relatedto hazardous waste management, but also needs to improve the supervision of illegal traffic of hazardous waste.

Abstract

Temperatur air sungai yang berpengaruh terhadap proses biologi, kimia, dan fisika yang terjadi di dalam ekosistem sungai telah menjadi perhatian utama dari sejumlah kegiatan para peneliti. Dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan root mean square (Rms), harmonik metode (A: Amplitude, φ: waktu tunda) dan perubahan dari spesifik debit (ΔQs), temperatur udara (ΔTa) dan temperatur air (ΔTw) selama periode hujan telah dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan nilai-nilai fluktuasi, kita bisa mengklasifikasikan daerah aliran sungai menjadi tiga kelompok luasan DAS: kecil, menengah, dan besar. Di daerah aliran sungai besar, nilai fluktuasi Tw dijelaskan sebagai pengaruh radiasi matahari dan proses perpindahan panas, sedangkan daerah aliran sungai kecil, menunjukkan waktu yang lebih pendek bagi pola aliran yang mempengaruhi Tw. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis menunjukkan pola aliran yang berbeda, digambarkan oleh karakteristik loop histeresis antara Qs dan Tw di DAS menengah selama periode hujan. Perbedaan-perbedaan dalam loop histeresis dapat dijelaskan sebagai perbedaan Tw dan kecepatan respons terhadap curah hujan antara aliran permukaan/aliran bawah permukaan dan aliran air tanah.

Abstract

This paper discusses design and testing of adsorption refrigeration system with two adsorbers. Main components consisted of two adsorber with 6.6 kg solidified activated carbon inside, expansion valve, evaporator, condenser, and reservoir. All of that were connected with stainless steel pipes. The test performed for 75 minutes using 250 ml of methanol pro-analysis of 99.9% as a refrigerant in the system and the water temperature is 250C which is pumped through copper pipes to cool the adsorbents. The air pressure in the system during the test were in vacuum. The average pressure difference between the adsorber and the evaporator during testing was 4.6 cmHg. The lowest temperature was 140C obtained after the 65th minute.

Abstract

The research is aimed to describe the language choice codes of purchasing in traditional market in Winong District, Pati Regency. This research uses the sociolinguistics approach. The data of this research are utterances of the sellers and the buyers in the traditional market. The sources of the data are the sellers and the buyers in the traditional market. The data were collected by using the methods of observation and interview. The data were analyzed by using contextual approach. The results of the research are as follows: (1) The codes of the language consist of Javanese and Indonesian languages; (2) The codes of speech level consist of ngoko, madya, and krama; (3) The codes of style consist of elaborated code and restricted code; (4) The codes of dialect consist of Pati dialect Javanese and standard Javanese.

Abstract

The mesophilic, thermophilic, and maturation phases were recognized in the composting process. Temperaturechanges in the process influence the microbial communities in compost. Actinobacteria account for a largerpart of compost microbial population. The aim of this research was to study of Actinobacteria community duringcomposting of dairy-farm waste. Actinobacteria from the compost were isolated using selective media, starchnitratemedium and humic-acid+vitamins medium. The colour of colony and medium pigment were characterizedusing culture-dependent method. The results showed, total and resident Actinobacteria isolates from mesophilicphase is 29 and 24 isolates, 23 and 16 isolates from thermophilic phase, while 19 and 9 isolates from maturationphase. Twenty two isolates found in more than one phase. Thus, the dynamics of Actinobacteria was occurredwithin composting process.

Abstract

The effectiveness of Rhizobium sp. inoculation in several periodes of soil saturation on growth and yield of soybean were studied at green house experiment. This research was designed by using 2x6 faktorial treatment arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and two treatment i.e. without and with Rhizobium sp. inoculation. Ist factor was duration of soil saturation consisted of six treatments i.e. field capacity, water saturation for 5-10 days after planting (dap), 10-15 dap, 15-20 dap, 20-25 dap, and 25-30 dap. Several parameters including root nodule formation, activity of root nodul, growth and yield of soybean were observed. All data was analyzed by F-test and subjected to Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) analysis at 5 % level when the treatments showing significantly variations. The result showed that Rhizobium sp. inoculation increased the amount of root nodule and activity of root nodule in fixing atmospheric nitrogen.
