Abstract

Background: Complications and deaths due to surgery become one of the global health problems. World Health Organization estimates that at least half a million deaths due to preventable surgical. An effort to improve the quality of surgical services including the Surgical Safety Checklist to use made by World Health Organization. Compliance to use this surgery checklist which is can increase the number of safe surgery, reduce the wrong site surgery and nearmiss. Method: This research is a qualitative action research design. The study population was all the doctors and nurse anesthetist. Number of samples 6 people. The data is collected by observation sheet Surgical Safety Checklist: Sign In RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II for 3 cycles of observation.Result and Discussion: The results of observations on the first to the third cycle shows that all disobeying nurse anesthetist (100%) the Surgical Safety Checklist to fill: Sign In. The results of the response every cycle and a structured interview with the anesthesiologist showed that nurses are still confused how to use the checklist, the checklist has not been a necessity, the culture of patient safety is still minimal, lack quality of human resources, lack of supervision and lack of socialization mechanisms Surgical Safety Checklist noncompliance that influence nurses Sign In to to fill.Conclusion: Completing Sign In in the installation of surgery center in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II Hospital is noncompliance, because they still haven’t got the identity bracelet mounted on a patient who will be operating and marking the location of a rare surgery. Advice to hospital are to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), SOP socialize regularly, make in-house training, increase the commitment of doctors and nurses, create a surveillance system, create a system of reward and punishment. Keywords: Sign In, Compliance Safe Surgery

Abstract

Rumah Zakat Clinic of Yogyakarta is a form of zakat funds in the health service and empowerment programs conducted by Indonesian Rumah Zakat Foundation. The rate of the clinic re-visit  for the last 3 years data indicates the minimal amount of the re-visit patient, so that the study of service quality, patient satisfaction, and how much interest the patient to revisit is very important for future improvement. This research is a quantitative research which design with no treatment (observational) cross sectional analytic approach. The population study was all the outpatients that were in general patient status. The number of samples are 118 people. The analysis test use gradual regression test and mediation test with Sobel test. The dimensions of service quality that influence the patient satisfaction are the responsiveness and empathy, while the dimensions of tangible, reliability, and assurance have no effect to the patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction directly affects the re-visit interest. Patient satisfaction becomes the partial mediator between the service quality dimensions namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy to the re-visit intention. There is an effect on service quality to the re-visit intention mediated by the patient satisfaction at clinic Rumah Zakat Yogyakarta.Keywords: Service Quality, Patient Satisfaction, Revisit Intention

Abstract

Circumcision costing couter and conventional methods in Setia Budi Clinic Jambi using traditional accounting systems, so the services offered to be cheaper (under costing) or more expensive (over costing) of the costs that should be consumed on these services. It would be fatal to the hospital, especially in a highly competitive market conditions. Thus researchers need to review the unit cost in the circumcision services costing more accurate in the details of the cost and accuracy of charging better, then a decision will be taken by the management would be better and appropriate. Research performed using a qualitative descriptive design. Instruments used were documentation guidelines owned by hospital and stopwatch. Cost analysis method used is based on ABC (Activity Based Costing) system. The results of this study show units of cost to perform circumcision services at Setia Budi Clinic Jambi which is calculated using the Activity Based Costing (ABC) system is Rp 240.242,59  for the M conventional services and Rp 385.200,57 for M couter services. From the calculation of unit cost pelayananan circumcision in Clinical Setia Budi Jambi is calculated using the ABC method gives results smaller M convenstional service. While in service M couter, ABC calculation gives greater results. Keywords: Unit cost, Activity Based Costing methods, Circumcision services.

Abstract

Increasing competition in hospital, which in the view of many private hospitals are well established in Gombong, PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong hospitals must have a strong brand equity to maintain or retain old customers and interesting new customers. Research is important conducted to determine and analyze ratings and views of customer on the hospital, other than research about brand equity in the hospital still rarely done.To know the views of consumers on brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality and brand loyalty PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospitals. The study was quantitative descriptive design. The study was conducted on 25 February - 3 June 2011 in the region Gombong. Population are all community Gombong had ever feel the services PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Number of sample was 100 respondents. Sampling design used was purposive sampling. Analysis of data used descriptive statistics, Cochrans test, the average value, semantic differential scale and importance vs. performance comparisonPKU Muhammadiyah hospitals as a top of mind awareness Gombong society. Based on calculations by the Cochran test at the brand association, there are 9 associations are closely related. Based on the results of the analysis of perceived quality, there are seven attributes of a good scale range (3.40 to 4.20) and 3 attributes entered enough scale range (2.60 to 3.40). Analysis of brand loyalty found: Switcher buyers equal to 23%, category simply (3.01). Habitual buyers is equal to 55%, both categories (3.44). Satisfied buyer equal to 49%, both categories (3.46). Liking the brand equal 43%, both categories (3.51). Commited buyers by 33% and include enough category (2.79) PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospitals have a strong enough brand equity. Abstract

Background:Patient safety is one of quality indicator of hospital service. Hospitals always improve the quality of care and patient safety, such as implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in any action of nurses to prevent Hospital Acquired Infection (HAIs). A nurse has certain factors that can influence the SOP implementation in their every action. This study is required to determine factors that influence nurses obedience in implementing SOP of catheter installation at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II Hospital.Method: This study using the cross-sectional approach which results are presented in analytical descritive. Research subjects are 30 observed nurses, taken from Emergency room, Naim room, Wardah room, Firdaus room and Zaitun room, by proportionate purposive sampling technique; and 97 nurses for questionnaire.Results and Discussion Nurses who are obedient to implement catheter installation SOP are 73.33% and 26.67% do not comply. Internal factors (gender, age, years of service, level of education, knowledge, attitude) and external factors (work environment, the characteristics of the group and workload) has no effect on nurses compliance (sig. > 0.05).Conclusion: Internal and external factors have no significant effect on the nurses compliance in implementing SOP of catheter installation at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II Hospital. Abstract

This exploratif qualitative research is a longitudinal case study to see hospital A and hospital B good corporate governance (GCG) with Center for Good Corporate Governance (CGCG) Gajah Mada University (GMU) version of GCG questionnaires then completed by interview. Good corporate governance be observed by transparency, accountability & responsibility, responsiveness, and fairness principle intended for board of commissioners (board of supervisors), board of directors, executive office (manager), auditor, and stakeholders of the hospital. Result show that both of hospitals are at bad level of good corporate governance application, different scoring result both of their good corporate governance principles can be caused by local wisdom, organization behaviour, and organization culture factors.Keywords: Good corporate governance, hospital, Hospital good corporate governance questionnaires.

Abstract

Backgraund: This research is to reveal the evaluation of the application of identification patient at Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital. The diversities and the routines of the services in hospital will make adverse event (KTD) if we don’t manage it properly. Errors due to misidentification patient happen almost in every aspect or diagnosis stages and treatment, so it needs the accuracy of patient’s identifications.Method: This research using qualitatif methods that produce descriptive data such as written words and verbal from people and observed attitude and study planning cases that exploits a problem with detail data retrictions, accompanied with detail data retrieval from many sources so can reflects patient identifications done by Siti Aisyah Islamic Hospital. Instruments used in this research is the search guidelines, in-depth interviews, FGD and RCA.Result and Discussion: This research result shows incident type of patient safety happens at Siti Aisyah Islamis Hospital. One of the causes is misidentifications patients. The nurses knowledge about the identification of patients had 100 % but the implementation of identification in hospital not optimal.Conclussion: The implementation of the identification of patients that should be done  by nurses not yet become a culture in Siti Aisyah Madiun Islamic Hospital and the implementation still far from the expectation. The suggestion from the researchers is management should do some evaluation and routine monitoring on the patient’s identifications in hospital to cultivate all nurses to identify patients become common culture nurse. Keyword : identification patient, patient safety incidents

Abstract

Background: Private hospitals should strive to have the technical capability to manage and calculate costs based on the condition that both hospitals and facilities that can use the Indonesian Case Based Group (INA CBG) appropriately. RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as one of the private hospitals that participate and support the governments program of the Sistem Jaminan Sosial Nasional.Calculating the unit cost of a tonsillectomy was done as a study of the correspondence between the cost of services and a health claim Methods:The study was a descriptive qualitative case study design. Tonsillectomy unit cost calculation using activity based costing (ABC) with the goal difference obtained unit costs plus a margin to claim CBG INA in 2012.             Result: Based on the calculation, the unit cost of services tonsillectomy with activity-based costing method is Rp. 2.265.732. ABC unit cost calculations result in a greater cost than the claims of INA CBG so get the difference in cost of Rp. 785.034. Conclusions: There is a negative difference between the calculation of service bi tonsillectomy ABC method with INA CBG claim. So that needs to be done by the hospital cost efficiency.Key Word: Tonsillectomy, INA CBG, Activity Based Costing.

Abstract

Background: Muhammadiyah and Aisha had a vision of 2020 is going to be a major driver of the establishment of networks between social groups that support healthy communities self-reliant and vision of 2015. Thus conducted a study of 40 hospitals under the auspices of Aumakes in 2009, from that data, researchers interested in conducting research on the quality of 40 hospitals under the auspices of Aumakes.Purpose: The research objective is 1). To analyze the relationship of the hospital quality  with Key Performance Indicators (KPI), 2) to analyze the relationship of the Hospital Quality with BOR and 3). To analyze the relationship of the hospital quality with ALOS.Methods: Types of research taking secondary data in 2009 with the design of the quantitative analysis method of retrospective study. Location of the study in 40 hospitals under the auspices of Aumakes. Analyzed using quantitative with correlation statistical program.Result:. Correlation statistical data shows significant relationship exists between the quality and KPI with significance values is 0.00 and with strong correlation is 0.719. There is a significant relationship between hospital quality and BOR with significant value is 0.016 by weak correlation 0.394. Abstract

Work performance is the result of the quality and quantity achieved by an employee in their duties performing. Accomplishments can be achieved by increasing the satisfaction that can be realized giving Rewards proportionally and fair and to create a conducive working environment. Harmonious relationship that exists between a leader-employee is also needed among employees with one another to create a conducive working environment. The results of preliminary studies on Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal seen a lot of indiscipline and delay the return of earlier of employees and the number continues to increase. This research  was quantitative descriptive with cross sectional research planning. Research populations were employees / workers of Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal. The sampling technique in this research is using proportions stratified random sampling with the number of sample as much as 137 people. Retrieval of data using questionnaires. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis. There is an effect of giving rewards to employees achievement of Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal (p<0,05). There is an influence of work environment of employees achievement on Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal (p<0,05). There is an effect of giving rewards and working environment of employees achievement on Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal. Keywords: Rewards, work environment and job achievement.
