Abstract

Background: DIY province has 70 hospitals, Bantul district has 10 hospitals that serve 859.968 inhabitants with 793 beds. Although the amount of hospital or beds was not enough, it was important for hospital to keep their image, it’s necessary to maintain or expand their market confidence.Method: It’s Quantitative-Qualitative study, cross-sectional survey and descriptive analytic. The quantitative used for determining images position, It’s used questionnaire to 118 respondents with purposive sampling methode. The qualitative used for supporting quantitative result and became reasons for improvements of dimensional image. Data Analysis used the differential semantic, four instruments and theory of marketing strategic.Result and discussion: There were 23 dimensions of hospital image, all of them show good images, doctors are skilled and experienced (98%.), skilled nursing (92%), professionalism (97%), neat and clean officer’s clothes (92%); organized and comfortable rooms (81%), building and rooms cleanliness (86%); complete facilities (85%), comfortable and hygine facilities (81%); complete medical equipments (88%), complete pharmaceuticals (95%); uncomplicated procedures (93%), officer’s timeliness (76%); sufficient consultation time (83%), attention and sympathy officers (92%), willingness to respond complaints (97%), hospitality (95%); appropriate price (95%), ease of insurance used (88%); strategic location and affordable (97%), inpatient room easily obtained (59%), ease to see the doctor (83%), information access (98%), understandly boards (76%). Image improvement priorities: timeliness officer, ease to see the doctor, adequacy of consultation time, board reconstruction, inpatient room additions, comfortable and hygine facilities, organized and comfortable rooms.Conclusions: All of hospital images were good. There were 7 dimension still need to be improved.Keyword: Hospital Image, Evaluation, Improvement Priority.

Abstract

Background: Hospital Associated Infection (HAIs) is still a problem through out the world and in Indonesia. Health officials have a major role in the transmission of these infections. However, the low level of compliance of five moments of hand hygiene among health care workers is still one of the factors that cause high spread of HAIs. To hand let his, it is necessary to counseling about the importance of 5 moments of hand hygiene for health worker towards patient health. Counseling can be done in various models, such as posters, training and simulation.Methods: The study is a qualitative research with action research. Conducted in September 2015 in wards in Clinical Laboratory “Cito” Yogyakarta, population as well as samples in this study were all health care workers in first floor of the Clinical Laboratory Cito Yogyakarta that consisting of nurses, analysts, doctors, radiographers, customer service, and cleaning service.Results and Discussion: The results showed the average rate of compliance of five moments of hand hygiene officer in the Clinical Laboratory Cito Yogyakarta continues to increase after extension, from 0% at the stage of the pretest be at 16,67% after being given counseling using the poster (cycle I) , increased to 32,50% after being given training (cycle II) and increased to 40,83% after being given counseling using simulation (cycle III). The factors that influencing the adherence of 5moments of hand hygiene in Cito Clinical Laboratory are: workload, the fear of hitting by irritant dermatitis, forgotten, lack of motivation, the lack of commitment of the company, lack of knowledge, and access to hand hygiene.Conclusion: 5moments of hand hygiene compliance of the workers increasing after the poster socialitation, training, and simulation. The management is expected to give more attention in improving of5moments of hand hygiene for health worker in Clinical Laboratory Cito Yogyakarta.Keywords: hand hygiene, compliance, laboratory officer

Abstract

Background: Hospital is a place for taking care of the patients where there are many kinds of disease there. Disease caused by infection is one of disease that can be found in hospital. It can be the mild one or the severe one. Therefore, it can spread from one patient to the other patients. Besides that, the workers also can be infected since their job required them to having a contact with the infection agent. The General hospital of PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit 1 has formed the Komite Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi (KPPI) or Committee of Prevention and Restraint of Infection since 2012, this committee has made a policy related to universal precautions which giving protection to medical staff, patients, and patients’ families.Methods: In collecting the data, this research used mixed method with concurrent triangulation strategy design and cross-sectional approach. The population of this research is doctors in delivery and postpartum room and the members of KPPI. The total of the population is 30 people. In analyzing the data, the writer used logistic regression. The resources were taken from some related books, journals, articles, and research from several media.Results and Discussion: The result of this research showed that the degree of compliance of doctors and midwives in using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in postpartum room (92.9%) was higher than the using of PPE in the delivery room (76.9%). This implementation/compliance is influenced by disposition factors/attitude (ρ = 0.000 <0.05) and the structure of bureaucracy (ρ 0,000 <0.05), while the variable of communication (ρ=0,164 > 0,05) and  resource (ρ=0,431 > 0,05) do not  influence on the implementation of the use of PPE.Conclusions and Recommendations: The implementation of the use of PPE in the delivery and postpartum room is still not performing well and the evaluation process was still not optimal. The hospital is expected to improve the supervision of the head room. Moreover, the implementation of SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) on the universal Guidelines for Vigilance Implementation should be conducted especially the use of PPE in delivery and postpartum room.Keywords: Personal Protective Equipment, disposition, monitoring, evaluation, bureaucratic structure, communications and resources.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II memiliki enam blok bangunan gedung. Masing-masing blok gedung terdiri dari empat lantai. Kondisi bangunan dan kerentanan di dalamnya membuat RS ini memiliki risiko tinggi akan terjadinya bencana kebakaran, sehingga diperlukan kesiapan sarana dan prasarana penanggulangan bencana kebakaran.Metode: jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah pihak manajemen dan petugas rumah sakit. Objek penelitian yaitu kondisi kesiapan sarana dan prasarana penanggulangan bencana kebakaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil dan Pembahasan: RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II memiliki kelengkapan sarana dan prarasana penanggulangan bencana yang sebagian besar telah sesuai dengan standar. Terdapat beberapa unsur yang perlu ditingkatkan, seperti penambahan detektor asap dan APAR, pemerataan sprinkler, jalur evakuasi untuk lantai atas, perbaikan jalur keluar darurat dan papan nama di titik berkumpul. Faktor pendukung yang terdapat di RS ini adalah ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana maupun antusiasme SDM untuk memiliki kemampuan penanggulangan bencana kebakaran. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu anggaran yang lebih diarahkan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan.Kesimpulan: RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II telah memiliki kesiapan sarana dan prasarana penanggulangan bencana kebakaran, namun masih terdapat beberapa unsur yang harus ditingkatkan agar sesuai standar. Kata Kunci: Sarana Prasarana, Penanggulangan Kebakaran, Manajemen Bencana Rumah Sakit

Abstract

Most of action for infusion in the emergency department. Action of infusion more frequently performed by nurses and should be in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP). The occurrence of plebitis incident, swollen, and trauma of due to repeated infusion is result of actions that do not prioritize of the patient safety. The purpose of research is knowing influence the level of knowledge and attitudes of nurses toward the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in infusion. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods with cross sectional. The respondent of it is nurses working in the emergency department of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul. Data was collected using a questionnaires and observation. The analytical tool used are univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Results is the level of knowledge most of nurses in good category (80,00%), the attitude of most of the nurses has a good category (53,33%) and the application of standard operating procedures infusion majority of categories has been implemented (53,33%). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the application of standard operating procedures (p<0,05). There is a relationship between the attitude and the application of standard operating procedures (p<0,05). The magnitude of the influence level of knowledge and attitudes of nurses toward the implementation of SOP for 53,4% (R Square) while the remaining  46,6% is explained by other variables. Conclusion is there is influence between knowledge and attitude toward the implementation of standard operating procedures of infusion in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. The suggestion is the hospital should be providing the instrument of infusion accordance with the principles of safety and alertness in the application of standard operating procedures of infusion. Abstract

Nurse’s working satisfaction can push nurse’s productivity and performance. Working satisfaction can affect performance and increasing working motivation. Working satisfaction namely can be accomplished by compensation fairness. Dissatisfaction on compensation will impact on decreasing work achievement. This research aim is to know effect of compensation fairness on nurse’s working satisfaction at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun. This research is quantitative research using cross sectional approach. Research population is nurse that work at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun. Sampling technique in this research is population samplings with sample number are 152 people. Data collection uses questionnaire. Data analysis uses double regression analysis. Distributive fairness significantly has positive effect on nurse’s satisfaction.  Procedural satisfaction do not significantly affect on nurse’s working satisfaction. Interpersonal fairness significantly has positive effect on nurse’s working satisfaction. Compensation fairness significantly affect on nurse’s satisfaction at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun.Keywords: compensation satisfaction, working satisfaction, nurse

Abstract

This paper is a review of the literature and application of good corporate governance which is regulated through the Hospital Bylaws / Statute of hospitals in the Muhammadiyah charitable efforts, particularly in order to reduce conflicts of interest between the owners, founders, managers and implementers of the healthcare. Hospital By laws regulate care services authority, responsibility of three important organs, governing board, chief executive office (CEO) / director, the medical staff. The implementation based on the results of case studies in Amal Usaha Kesehatan Muhammadiyah / Aisyiyah East Java in centrally coaching by MKKM as the governing board of East Java region has been able to improve performance of Aumkes Muhamadiyah / Aisyiyah to be more advanced. Abstract

Background: Determination of unit costs of inpatient room rental in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul is currently using traditional methods of real cost. When viewed in terms of space, design space and facilities for wards between class II class II Ar Rahman with other wards there is a difference. But the room rental unit cost of hospitalization between class II and class II Ar Rahman other similar effect.Methods: The study was conducted in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive case study design. The sample in the study were nurses and managers supporting units taken purposively sampling. Cost analysis method used is the Activity-Based Costing (ABC).Results and Discussion: The unit cost of room rental class II Ar Rahman is calculated by the method of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) amounting to          Rp. 77.540, -, while those issued by the hospital of Rp. 42 308, -. This indicates that the unit cost is calculated by Activity-Based Costing is greater than the unit cost hospitals. In Activity-Based Costing (ABC), indirect costs (overheads) charged to a cost driver while in the traditional system is only charged on a cost driver.Conclusions and Suggestions: Method of Activity-based Costing (ABC) can provide information regarding the calculation of more accurate cost, so it can be used by management to take accurate decisions in the budgeting and planning costs. Concern to quality service in nowadays becoming global issue that triggered by consciousness to give best service for patient or by request from eksternal side of hospital. Goverment push hospital to give good quality of service by giving evaluation of hospital standarization. PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Jogjakarta unit II which new one of health service unit right now striving to improve quality of service. Result of the beginning observation findout evaluation of activity are often neglected, particularly on unit emergency. The objective of this observation is to find out performance and quality culture in management unit emergency of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Jogjakarta unit II, This observation using qualitative method with case study as observation plan that using interview as observation instrument involving board of management and officer of unit emergency of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Jogjakarta unit II. The Self Assesment accreditation in 2008 and first edition of accreditation standard in 2012 result show that quality service standard that using by unit emergency of PKU Muhammadiyah Jogjakarta unit II for develop their quality of service its guided line for survey of hospital accreditation in 2008 instructed by Indonesia health ministry that poured into activity guidance of unit emergency, but because lack availability of unit emergency officer make unit emergency can’t support implementation of unit emergency activity guidance. Working culture in unit emergency of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Jogjakarta unit II its only doing fast emergency response but not yet support quality service development because not yet develop service evaluation process. Service process evaluation hard to do because of limitation number of human resource. The result of unit emergency performance show by AKPPGD, DOA and result of accreditation in 2008 already achieve the standard, but not yet fulfill quality standard evaluation of health service management base on first edition of accreditation in 2012. Abstract

Background : Issues of ASEAN Free Trade Area ( AFTA ) and globalization of the world economy demands which is every profit and non-profit organizations to compete in marketing and resource. The changes, requires hospitals to survive among competitors that would appear at any moment. Therefore , Human Resources (HR) hospitals must be able to respond it. HR needs proper planning in accordance with the service requirements of each unit in accordance with the classification of hospitals based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health ( Permenkes ) number 56 of 2014 as well as national accreditation standard version of the Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals 2012 ( KARS ). So the RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II will head the hospital type B and accreditation .Methods: The study design was qualitative used  in-depth interviews and quantitative method for analyzing a plan about between condition HR today and the need for hospital accreditation of type B and KARS version 2012. While quantitative data obtained through questionnaires Need Assessment journal guidelines on Managerial Competency Development at Provincial and District HospitalsResults : Based on the research results, there is a shortage of human resources about the type and number according to hospital type B and for the accreditation of 99 elements document ratings are 96 % complete . As for performance assessment PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit II responsibility for the examination and treatment, training, science and research, issues of hospital management which is indispensable. To support the referral level, in terms of both treatment and prevention. As well as for international cooperation needs to be improved. While the assessment of training needs at the level of priority on the entire item, respondents give a high priority level assessment.Conclusion : There is a shortage of the type and quantity of human resources between the condition of human resources today and the provisions of hospital type B and there are some completeness of documents for the accreditation of qualifications assessment and education staff KARS 2012 version.  Keywords : hospital type B, Permenkes 56/2014, accreditation of KARS version 2012, human resources
