Abstract

The research is qualitative research and aims at investigating the management of clinic supervision in SMK N 1 Karanganyar. The data used in the research are comments, opinion and activities related to clinic supervision. The data analysis used Milness model analysis. The finding of the research shows that the clinic supervision in SMK N 1 Karanganyar is conducted well. In conclusion, the supervision clinicin in SMK N 1 Karanganyar involve teacher of SMK N 1 Karanganyar actively and openly that teachers can accept the result of the supervision. The supervision clinic use 5W + 1 H analysis. Supervision in SMK N 1 Karanganyar can change the behavior and attitude of the teacher significantly.

Abstract

This research aims to examine (1) the contribution level of leadership and communication of school principal on the teachers’ performance through their motivation, (2) the contribution level of principal’s leadership and communication on teachers’  work motivation, and (3) the contribution level of teachers’ work motivation on their performance. This research uses quantitative approach. Population used in this research was taken from elementary school teachers in UPT Dinas Dikpora, Jebres District, Surakarta: from the total number 762 teachers, 262 teachers were selected as the samples. The data were collected by using questionnaire. Path data analysis technique used in this research. These are the research results.(1)There is no any contribution of school principal’s leadership and communication on the teachers’ performance through their motivation, with result criteria< x = 0,035 <(0,405 x 0,238) = 0,035 < 0,096,  There is indirect Relationship pattern and > x = 0,161>(0,405 x 0,202) = 0,161 > 0,082, there is direct relationship pattern. (2) There is a positive contribution of the school principal’s leadership and communication on teachers’ work motivation; the result of >, is 23,756 > 2,639 with significant value < 0,05; 0,000. (3) There is a positive contribution of teachers’ work  motivation on their performance; the t-test analysis shows that 6,922 is >1,989 with p value (significance) <0,05, yaitu 0,000.

Abstract

General purpose of the research is to find and develop Pkn learning model at Junior High School bases local wise for revitalization pancasila values strategy to strength character and self characteristic country. This research is for two years. The first year, the research is qualitative research. Collecting data technique are interview, attentively method and observation. Analysis data uses interactive method. Focus prob- lem reviews and planning draft model uses qualitative approach with pathways: (1) lit- erature study, collecting materials support relationship Pkn learning model, (2) field data colleting and triangulation data descript PKn learning model at Junior High School implementation, (3) SWOT analysis constructs draft model, and (4) refining design mod- el (tentative) by workshop participation-collaborative. Result of the research shows (1) Profile background PKn teachers at Junior High School of Surakarta are PKn education and they have experience teach a long time. (2) PKn teachers have experience in scien- tific activities in local or national so understanding PKn teachers Junior High School of Surakarta about the primary and purpose of citizenship education is enough good. (3) To development PKn learning is powerfull it needs revision to PKn material, the primary about (a) integration local culture value and (b) strategy and learning method support mastery competent PKn and education value. (4) According SWOT analysis, draft de- velops PKn model in Junior High School bases local wise for revitalization strategy Pancasila values to strength character and self characteristic of country with (a) wise integration local java culture source from core value esteem, social problem solving, study with social interaction and study with interaction social-culture, (c) implementa- tion draft model with problem based learning model, project based learning and value classification.

Abstract

The research has aim to examine the aspect validity of literary competance on the instrument test of the odd semester final examination in academic year 2012/2013 grade VII of the state junior high school in West Ngawi Region. The research was descriptive qualitative research, which related to the validity test of the instrument test item in the final examination. The data ceollected then analized of its validity by using the four language competence i.e. listening, speaking, reading, dan writing, and also analized based on its accordance level to the literary basic competence. The validity type which used on the research was the content validity which did not involve the statistic calculation at all except the rational analysis. The result data of the validity test was the qualitative data, i.e. the description of validity test to the odd semester final instrument test of state junior high school grade VII in academic year 2012/2013. The result of the research showed that the literary instrument test were more dominant on the writing competance aspect. It is proof on the presence of tendency to include the other competence (such as listening competence) in the writing activity. Furthermore, on the writing basic competence, the ways to demonstrate to the students were more efficient and varies so that the instrument was appropriate to be applied. On the literary aspect of instrument test, there was one of the basic competence which did not included to the instrument test, i.e. basic competence of 8.2 rewrite the fairytale using the own language of the fairytale which had ever read or listened. As the research forward, this basic competence do not listed on the literary aspect of the instrument test.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know: (1) organizational climate influence to lec­turer productivity; (2) satisfaction influence work to lecturer productivity; (3) interest influence to lecturer productivity; (4) motivation influence to lecturer productivity; and (5) influence by simultaneous between organizational climate, work satisfaction, interest, and motivate to lecturer productivity. Research Method used is quantitative method by causal design. This research popu­lation is all lecturers remain at Veteran Bangun Nusantara University of Sukoharjo a number of1 09 people. Research sample counted 86 one who is taken by using formula from Slovin, and to each faculty taken by proportional. Data collecting technique uses the questioner. The data are analyzed by Double Regress. The result indicates that: (1) organizational climate gives positive and significant influence to lecturer productivity. Level of influence gives a organizational climate to visible lecturer productivity through the equation of regress Y = 5,105 + 0,505X1; (2) work satisfaction gives positive and significant influence to lecturer productivity. Level of influence is a work satisfaction to visible lecturer productivity through the equation of regress Y = 5,105 + 0,425X2; (3) interest gives positive and significant influence to lecturer productivity. Level of influence is given by interest to visible lecturer productivity through the equation of regress Y = 5,105 + 0,594X3; (4) motivation positive and significant influence to lecturer productivity. Level of influence is given by motivation to visible lecturer productivity through the equation of regress = 5,105 + 0,479X4; (5) there is simultaneous in organizational climate, work satisfaction, interest, and motivate to have an effect on lecturer productivity. This matter is proved from result F test, got F calculated 124,802 with the level significance 0,000. Level of influence by simultaneous are organizational climate, work satisfaction, interest, and motivate to have an effect on to lecturer productivity is equal to 86%, the rest that is 14% representing incoming influence from other factor.

Abstract

The research was purposed to explore how teachers learn from their professional experience to become ‘good’ at what they do.  The research was a replication of the a study project conducted by School of Education at University of Aberdeen in 2012 . The current research was an effort to investigate the teachers’ learning from their professional experience in different context and participants. The study is an interpretation of narratives of two primary school teachers from SD Muhammadiyah Klaten Utara, Indonesia. The narratives materials are taken from the research project undertaken in Klaten jointly conducted by the Department of Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and SD Muhammadiyah Klaten Utara. This study is a narrative reseach approach. The analysis in this report is  using  narrative  approach  because  the  materials  are  the  narratives  of  two  teachers  of primary teachers. The finding shows that two things that makes them become good teacher.  The first one is the teacher’s will to always learn from problems they faced. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the optimization problem solving skills predictions about national exam mathematics courses through Jigsaw approach at a ninth grade students of State Junior High School  4 Boyolali. Subject and source of research data were do students of class IX A. The methods of collecting data were questionnaires, documentation, and test. Data were analyzed using a critical and comparative analysis. Indicators of success or graduation used criteria 5.5 (scale 4) or 55 (scale 100) and a target of 100% completion. The procedure used a classroom action research study conducted in three cycles, the first cycle was as initial condition, while the second and third cycles were as action. The results of research suggest that: (1) the motivation of participants students in learning mathematics courses before cycle can be described increase in the result, namely from before cycle to the first cycle, an increase of before cycle is average of 56 to the first cycle of an average of 58 (4%), of the first cycle an average of 58 the second cycle to an average of 79 of 21 (36%). Thus, the higher motivation of learners shows an impact on learning outcomes. While the mathematics learning outcomes can be described increase in the result, namely from before cycle to the first cycle, an increase of before cycle average of 45 to the first cycle an average of 59 of 14 (31%), from the first cycle an average of 59 to the second cycle mean average 69 of 10 (17%). Finally it can be said that using jigsaw for optimization problem solving skills predictions about national exam mathematics courses is recommended.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: (1) to determine the characteristics of academic administrative (2) to know the description of academic and administrative services and the student resistances. The study is a descriptive qualitative. It is conducted at the Computer Control Engineering Program of Polytechnic Madiun. The respondents in this study are the Chairman, staff, and students of Computer Control Engineering Program. The main data collection tools by means of interviews and documentation. It was developed by the researcher himself and validity tested by triangulation techniques. The results of this study concluded: 1) control program engineering studies led by the chief together with the secretary program, and assisted by the administrative staff. The academic administrations are student planning card, attendance list, class scheduling, semester reporting, the final semester result reporting, and final project schedule, 2) generally the academic administrative services do not fulfill the students satisfactory, such as administrative room less extensive, administrative officer less responsive in providing some services and not in line with a predetermined schedule, but the level of student resistance remains high.

Abstract

The development of character values and cultural values is a long process start- ing from the initial incoming students to completion of an educational unit. In fact, the pro- cess starts from the kindergarten continues to elementary school and lasted at least until the 9th grade or last grade of junior high school. The development process of character and cultural values carried by each subject, and in each curricular and extracurricular activities, through all subjects, personal development, and education unit. This study seeks to describe the profile of Indonesian subjects teaching materials in the current elementary school according to teachers and students opinions and the needs of students and teach- ers towards Indonesian subjects thematic teaching materials which contains character and cultural values. Research and development is applied to the field of education . The subjects of research were elementary school students and elementary schools teachers in Ungaran and Semarang. 27 people (29 %) of teachers declared that there are Indonesian textbooks were still least helpful in teaching. 8 people (9 %) of teachers stated that the Indonesian textbooks were incomplete. 85 people (91 %) of teachers want the Indonesian textbook to be more complete, making it easier for teachers to teach.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the activity of learning English, and motivated by the low learning motivation of students at the fourth grade SDN 1 Sonorejo Blora (24 students). The method of data collection is in the form of tests, observation, documentation. Beside, this research applies interactive analysis to analyze the data collected. The results of this research show that there is an enhancement in the 1. Asking activity: first cycle 33.3%, 41.6% the second cycle, the third cycle of 50%; 2. Expressing their ideas 16.6% first cycle, the second cycle 25%, 33.3% the third cycle; 3. Answering the questions: 25% the first cycle, the second cycle 33.3%, 41.6% the third cycle; 4. Discussion activity: the first cycle 33.3%, the second cycle 50%, 66.6% the third cycle; 5. Doing the tasks given: first cycle 75%, the second cycle 83.3%, 91.6% third cycle.
