The phenomenon of over education and under education is a phenomenon in which a labor force with higher education levels hold jobs that do not fit with the level of education. The opposite, someone with a lower educational level would occupy a higher job. This study uses data SUSENAS 2009 for the Province of West Sumatra. The research shows, there is the phenomenon of over education and under education in the female labor market in West Sumatra and there are significant income related to the phenomenon of over education and under education in the women of labor market. It is necessary to link and match between education and female labor market in the formal sector. The policy of labor exploitation through unfair wage system for workers needs to be done so that the phenomenon of over education and under education will have positive impact for companies and workers concerned.

This study analyzes batik export performance in ex Karesidenan Surakarta. The Researcher links the export stimulus and toward export strategy and also to the impact of ex- port stimulus, and export strategy on export performance. The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between export stimulus and toward the export strategy. This study is also aiming at explaining about the relation of the export stimulus, and export strategy toward export performance of Batik Company. The location of this study was in Ex Karesidenan of Surakarta. The total samples of this research were 108 companies but only 104 companies which could be investigated. The significant finding of this study is that the aid of market information from domestic/local government and importer and their political stability (environmental aspect) will improve the export performance. The strong willingness of the company managers to explore the existing resources owned by the companies will support the export performance (impulse factor).

This research aims to analyze the characteristics of households that affect the electric energy consumption of simple households. The second objective is to analyze the probability of each of the factors affecting the electricity energy consumption of small household. The research was conducted in Medan City in the period of March 2014 to November 2014 with samples of 143 small households, the customer of PT. PLN (Persero) Medan, which use the power of electricity for TR-1 /450VA. Data were analyzed by using the logistic regression model. The estimation results indicated that (1) the higher the willingnes to pay (WTP) of households, the higher the tendency to consume elec trical energy per month. (2) the closer the households residence to the city center, the higher the tendency to consume electrical energy than of the households residence in the suburbs, (3) increasingly unfavourable response to electrical quality, the higher the opportunity to consume a greater electric power monthly.

The changing of exchange rate is due to interaction between economic factors and non-economic factors. The aim of this research is to analyse some factors that affect exchange rate and their implications on Indonesian economy. Analytical method used in this research is explanatory method is to test hypothesis about simultaneous relationship among variables that research by developing the characteristics of verificative research by doing some testing at every step of research. We used secon-dary data taken from BI, BPS, World Bank and IFS. We used error correction model (ECM) to analysis between independent variable and dependent variable in both the short run and long run. The result of this research shows that ratio between domestic interest rate and international interest rate did not affect negative and significantly to exchange rate. Capital flow affected negative and significantly. Balance of payment affected negative and significantly. Money supply affected positive and significantly. According ECM method that used in this research shows that the methodology is good to analyse because the magnitude of ECT is accept.

The objective of this study is to find way to reduce poverty rate of farmer by looking for the most suitable farm institutions that could be applied nationally. By doing so, this study analyzes, first, poverty condition of farmer through social-cultural approach in order to find the root causes of the farmer poverty. Secondly, this study will analyze current farm institutions. Finally, this study will synthesize the findings and proceed with alternative policies that are based on collective actions to overcome the poverty problem for the farmer. ZOPP (Zielorientierte Projektplanung-Objective Oriented Project Planning) and collective action model are used as the main method of analyze. This study finds that there are eleven root causes of farmer poverty. Furthermore, this study suggest the existence of: market creation, activating and assisting KUT (Farmer Business Union) as well as Gapoktan (Farmer Club), and providing a pilot field for farming for every village.

One of the efforts to increase peoples income is by applying economic models that are suitable for the community. This model places emphasis on lower class community economic empowerment so that eventually they can be economically self-sufficient. To apply an economy model suitable for that particular source, around the area of Sungai Melayu, particularly Piansak village is one of the efforts suggested. The method applied for this research is Action Research. For the first year, the main task is to identify the local area. Only after a feasibility study being done on the data found, then a system of Society Economy Model will be implemented accordingly. This study analyzes the performance of the Indonesian banking sector efficiency and peeling technique factors that lead to inefficiencies that could reduce the banks internal performance using Data Envelopment Analisys model (DEA). Research on the efficiency of banking techniques in Indonesia in 2000-2004 conducted using secondary data analysis including balance sheets and income statements of banks in Indonesia 12, the number of bank offices, and the number of bank employees in 2000 until 2004. Results of DEA analysis for the entire group decreased efficiency of banks during the crisis, except Bank Mandiri. This means that Bank Mandiri has the best performance compared to other banks. Inefficiency generally caused by using less than optimal inputs to produce output. Inputs that have not been completely allocated are assets and labor are not on optimizing the range below 50 percent. To produce the maximum efficiency, the bank must increase the use of its inputs to 100 percent.

The need for energy is increasing every year. More than 80% of energy needs met by fossil fuels derived from petroleum and natural gas. To anticipate, the Government issued Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2006 on the national energy. In this regulation, the government took steps to saving energy and looking for new sources of energy that are renewable and environmentally friendly. One is bioethanol. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of bioethanol industry in Bekonang Sukoharjo. This study used mixed methods, namely the incorporation of quantitative and qualitative methods in a single study. The measurement of competitiveness is using Porters Diamond Model. The results show the competitiveness of bioethanol industry is influenced by business strategy, potential buyers, working capital and innovation. Currently, bioethanol industry competitiveness is low.

Apart from governmentâs role, it is necessary to implement the development program by participatory contribution of stakeholders which is among others from non-governmental organization (NGO). One of development programs implemented from national level up to village level through constellation of government institution and NGO is PIDRA. At village level, both constellations were represented by field technical assistant of government institution and facilitator of NGO to which it employed synergic activities with community. The implementation of PIDRA Program brought positive impact on community empowerment in terms of capacity building and institutional development. Hence, experimental experience of PIDRA Program is strategically implemented in other program sites based on participatory collaborative management.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of production, availability of food for the community and analyze the level of accessibility of food for households in villages in the district behind Weru Sukoharjo. The method of analysis used in qualitative research is descriptive analytic in order to approach the situation, structure, behavior and performance (SSPP). Use of this approach is based on the consideration of allegations that sensitive (vulnerable) of food a lot happening in the villages left behind. The results of this study indicate that the performance of food production especially rice or rice has increased significantly from year to year, but increased production has not been able to offset the growth in consumption of rice that grows higher than the growth in rice production. This shows that in terms of food availability, food security in the area of research is still very low.
