Abstract

The research aims to identify the insects in rice plants in the district Pilangkenceng and Kare Madiun. Research method using qualitative descriptive and in accordance with what is on the field. Data were collected by observation. Insects captured in two ways: directly and using flay arrest of the net. The results showed that the insects found in rice plant in the district of Pilangkenceng order Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Odonata, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera. Insects found in the District of Kare consists of the Order Orthoptera, Odonata, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Homoptera. Keywords: insect diversity, identification, Oryza sativa L.

Abstract

This study aimed to increase student achievement in science learning material by applying sound Jigsaw model of cooperative methods in class VIIIA of SMP Negeri 2 Kwadungan school year 2013/2014 . Research using classroom action research ( PTK ) includes planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instrument used syllabus, lesson plans, student activity sheets, observation sheets, and test. Data retrieval learning achievement tests and observations were performed every cycle . The results showed that students mastery of classical first cycle of 60 % , 87.5 % second cycle. show enthusiastic learn. Observations show their courage students to ask and answer questions discussion. The results showed that sound science learning material with the application of Jigsaw model of cooperative methods can improve student achievement . Abstract

Active learning using real learning environment is essential for developing a scientific attitude. Ecotourism is one of the ecosystems that can be used as a learning environment and a place to find teaching materials. Learning about zoology not be separated from the object of study of birds (Aves). Vertebrates Taxonomy learning in birds is often carried out a study object only in the classroom or laboratory. Green learning method is a learning system using natural environment directly in the learning process and the preparation of teaching materials. This research was conducted in Wana Grape, sub Wungu, Madiun. This study uses point count method. Exploration carried out by recording the observations of the object being observed, resulting in a general form of teaching materials that were analyzed descriptively. Application of green learning method makes it easy for professors to materials development courses Vertebrate taxonomy. The presence of green learning method provides real study materials from the natural surroundings by utilizing existing local potential. There are 7 species of birds that exist in ecotourism Grape. The most dominant species of birds are Emprit / Bondol Java (Lonchura leucogastroides), Erasia Church (Passer Montanus, Bar-winged prinia Java (Prinia familiaris). The most rare bird is Black Srigunting (Dicrurus macrocercus) and Cucak Kutilang (Pycnonotus aurigaster). Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of science learning outcomes matter of human digestive systemin class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 3 Pacitan school year 2011/2012 through the implementation oflearning strategy Jigsaw - Lesson study. The results show that the quality of the science learningprocess increases . It can be seen from the increase in the percentage of success of the action on thefirst cycle of 62.59 % increased by 7.41% after the second cycle , which becomes 80.00 % and basedon the level of success include the category very well . In addition it also increases the percentage ofmastery learning in the time before the actions of 38.89 % , after the first cycle of 72.22 % and thesecond cycle in the classical mastery learning students reach 100 % . The average value of learningoutcomes also increased , at the time before the action was 71.00 , after the first cycle of 72.31 and thesecond cycle in the classical mastery learning students achieve 76.31 . From the results of this studyconcluded that learning with LS - Jigsaw strategy can improve the quality of science teaching , thestudents of class VIII - A of SMP Negeri 3 Pacitan school year 2011/2012 .Keyword: learning, jigsaw, lesson study

Abstract

Quality of the river water Gandong using bio-indicators of macroinvertebrates and utilize the results of this study to be used as the building blocks of practical guidance on the subject of environmental pollution junior class VII. The study was conducted in River Gandong Village. Ringinagung, Kab. Mabopane divided into 3 stations. Data obtained from direct observations in the field and laboratory tests. The method used is descriptive qualitative approach that gives an overview of water quality Gandong River. Data were analyzed after identifying the calculating method Family Biotic Index (FBI) based on tolerance index macroinvertebrates.The results of measurements of physical and chemical parameters, such as temperature for each station in the range of 25 ° C-26, turbidity range 27-30 cm, the pH range 7, the current speed 0,16-0,29 m / s, DO 5,8-6 , 1 mg / L. Station II data has physical and chemical parameters lowest, but some aquatic biota able to survive despite the type and the amount is not much in the station I and III. As for the calculation of the FBI, the station I have the 6.39, 6.99 II station, and the station III 6.82. Water quality station I quite bad, but the quality of the station II and III declined to poor interpretation of the FBI. Family macroinvertebrates are most commonly found in every station is family Thiaridae and Physidae. The results of this study can be used as the building blocks of practical instructions Chapter Pollution Junior Class VII entitled "Observing types of animals macroinvertebrates in the river". Abstract

The role of insects (arthropods) in human life can affect the yield and quality of agricultural products. Insect pests are insects that regularly or occasionally cause damage that can reduce the yield or quality of agricultural products. The purpose of this study was to determine the  preference of arthropods on wild plants, to compare the percentage of interest and time orientation of arthropods on wild plants. This research is a qualitative descriptive that tries to reveal andexplain about the preferences or interests arthro in Poda against wild plants (weeds) Cambodgien Wonosari Tea Garden Area, Singosari Malang. The difference in the percentage interest in insects against wild plants affected by volatile compounds secreted by wild plants. Overall plant contain  volatile compounds produced by the leaves, flowers or fruit of the wild plants cause differences  insect attraction. Insects itself able to select and respond to volatile compounds from plants that are in nature can be visited.Keywords : insects, arthropods, wild plants.

Abstract

Lesson study is a model of professional development of educators through collaborative research and continuous learning based on the principles of mutual kolegalitas and learning to build community study. Lesson study can be implemented at various levels of education , including college. The level of implementation of the Lesson study done is learning plan, implementation of learning, and reflection. Lesson study cycle is done 4 times with the topic Fungi, Sterilization, Media Bacteria and Isolation, and Environmental Microbiology. Lesson study results showed an increase in the quality of learning that is Microbiology Subjects with variations learning methods , learning strategies, media variations, and how to evaluate, especially in the use of Mind Mapping . Lesson study is ongoing implementation will accelerate the implementation of professional development learning. Increased professionalism of lecturers will be followed by an increase effectiveness of learning and teaching and will indirectly have an impact on improving the quality of education at large. Abstract

This is not an easy thing to do as turning the hand because it requires the cooperation of all faculty in the Department of Biology that is expected from day to day also always improve professionalism . Biology lecturer and intelligent professional, who can develop his professionalism in accordance with the challenges of globalization and the dynamics of global education  will be a living example for students majoring in Biology. Biology teacher candidates who are prospective professional and intelligent teacher who always want to learn throughout life, literati Science and technology, mastering the English language, capable of carrying out classroom action research, writing scientific papers diligent, capable students according to the needs and development of the era, as well as having intelligence thinking. They are also expected to have the ability to constantly develop the ability, can produce intelligent action, which is done with full responsibility, and is able to be recognized by the public in carrying out their duties in the field of education and learning. One effort that can be done by lecturers Biology is biology of learning by presenting to increase the independence of students in learning, and develop metacognitive skills. Lecturer builder courses should be worked together to give its share in coaching students to become teachers of Biology is the professional and intelligent. Abstract

Implementation of biology learning in SMPN 1 Geneng Ngawi using lecture method. so that student learning outcomes are still low. Results of preliminary observations of student activity to formulate the problem, formulate hypotheses, conduct experiments, collect data, draw conclusions have not been reached indicators ketercapaian.Tujuan research to improve student learning outcomes VIIIA grade SMP Negeri 1 Geneng Ngawi. Research methods using action research, research subjects 40 students VIIIA. Collecting data using achievement test, observation of activities of students and teachers in learning. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes of the first cycle to the second cycle, 33% formulate problems, formulate hipotesis13%, experiment 15%, 20% collect data, draw conclusions 7.5%. Data student activity increased by 14%. Data activities of teachers increased by 15%. The conclusion of this research inquiry into the use of cooperative learning strategies can improve learning outcomes biology VIIIA grade students of SMPN 1 Geneng Ngawi with have significancy level. Abstract

The ability to cope with environmental stresses and to survive is adaptive. This is due to the changes that occur very rapidly due to the need to adapt according to the demands at the time. Improving the quality of learning is dynamic so that the quality of learning today is not the same as the quality of learning and even become expired on tomorrow. Several studies have shown that teacher quality is a prerequisite in achieving quality education. This can be done as early as possible to improve teacher candidates. Law No. 14 of 2005 states, the position of teachers as professionals, serves to enhance the dignity of the teacher as well as his role as a learning agent to improve the quality of national education. Being a professional science teacher candidates there are a number of basic competencies related to professional quality needs to be improved. One of them contained in the framework for 21st century learning, one is supporting innovation and creativity skills. The main issue in this article is: How to prepare prospective science teachers (IPA) to be able to respond to any changes in present and future as well as to effectively take advantage for the betterment of self, community, and nation. The main issue, the focus of this article is to prepare graduates perspective, especially in science education courses Faculty of Surabaya in adaptive skills to support 21st century skills terkaid innovation and creativity in the lecture biotechnology.
