Abstract

East Manggarai Regency is a new autonomous region of the division of Manggarai Regency in East Nusa Tenggara Province. As a new district, the area must be developed based on the dominant potentials in the region so that the regional government is more flexibel to design appropriate regional development strategy and create a conducive investment climate to attract investors to the area. The purpose of research is to identify potential sectors that can be developed and provide more economic value, evaluating existing landuse based on land capability and formulate East Manggarai District development strategies. The method used is the input-output analysis combined with analysis of LQ, LI, SI and SSA to determine the dominant sectors and leading commodity, image interpretation and analysis of land capability and SWOT analysis to formulate a regional development strategy. The results showed that the leading sectors in East Manggarai district consists ofthe food crops, the manufacturing sector and the non-oil sectorand the trade sector. Based on the ability of the land, there are many areas that are not their designation as the management of extreme farm lands. Abstract

This study aimed at obtaining factual information and overview to the development of land use patterns for buildings in urban areas by interval time period, both spatially and aspatially, by utilizing high-resolution satellite photo image (high resolution spatial image) combined with field observations. This research used survey method approach. The data of this study consisted of primary and secondary data classified into spatial and aspatial data in the form of time series obtained through documents recording techniques, field observations, previous mapping sources, as well as depth interviews. The analysis technique used Image Processing Analysis through programs and software Arc View. The result of research showed that there was a quite rapid development of land use patterns for building in Palu within the last 50 years (≤ 1970 till 2010) It had building addition in 65,173 units (82.28%), from 14,032 units in ≤1970 to 79,205 units in 2010, and the addition of extensive use of land for building was 4723.52 ha (89.06%), from 516.98 ha in ≤ 1970 to 4723.52 ha in 2010. The development level of land use patterns for building was getting along with the size of distribution and population growth in Palu.

Abstract

Selokan Mataram is one of Yogyakarta City’s prominent landmark, as well as an important heritage. This research is aimed to identify the land-use pattern and factors influencing the development of space along Selokan Mataram, Yogyakarta. It was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative-inductive research, held by a thorough observation of land uses within a specific predetermided area. It is found that the pattern of land use formed on both sides of Selokan Mataram in macro scale is the combination of multi-direction linear pattern and scattered pattern. The spatial development based on space density tended to be bigger towards the east side, rather than towards the west side. Whereas, based on the government’s plan, the space development of this area is to be evenly developed with various different area’s functions. Factors that influence the space development in the study sites are accessibility, growth of residentialarea, existence of higher education institutions nearby, price of land-rent/building-rent, lifestyle of nearby inhabitants, and land regulations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of park and ride at BekasiStation. The method of analysis in this research is the assessment of parking performance based onstandards and parking user perception with Kano-model, and the Analytic-Hierarchy-Process(AHP) to analyze the implementation of park and ride at Bekasi Station. The results show thatparking performance doesn’t meet the standard. The problem of parking performance at BekasiStation are view from two perspectives, namely: the peak accumulation which is more than itscapacity and parking index which is more than 1 (one). Improved performance based on userperception parking with Kano Model, the main priority is obvious parking lines and the parkingstandard. The priority of implemention of park and ride at Bekasi Station is provideparking28.48%. From the results of this research, the writter recommends to build a parking in conformitywith the parking user’s perception for short term solution and the implementation of park and ridefor the long term solution.

Abstract

The aim of this study are (1) to assess the damage of settlement due to lahar flood in study area, (2) to analyze the damage of settlement and (3) to analyze the allocated space of settlement development based on classification of damage settlement. Methods that used in this study are GPS Tracking to know the distribution of lahar flood, classification of damage settlement based on predetermined criteria and spatial autocorrelation to know the pattern of damage settlement. The result of this study is showing that damage settlement due to lahar flood is not only caused by the house distance to the river but also by the materials of it. The spatial pattern of damage settlement is 0,68 (clustered) for Collapse, 0,62 (clustered) for High Damaged, 1,05(clustered) for Low Damaged, 0,64 (clustered) for Medium Damaged) and 1,21 (clustered) for No Damaged.

Abstract

This research explores the phenomenon of community adaptation in a disaster prone area by working as an Indonesian Foreign Labor and the contribution of their remittances to reduce disaster risk. The case study of this research is located in urban area of Indramayu which is potentially affected by flood disaster due to sea level rise. 237 respondents consisting of ex TKI worker and their family were interviewed with a structured questionnaire related with the characteristics of TKI, the amount of remittance and it’s pattern, as well as its potential for flood risk reduction. Based on statistical analysis, it is found that the remittance use can be categorized into four classifications, i.e. consumption, physical, saving, and capital investment. Further analysis shows that the capital investment and saving can function as a long-term adaptation while physical allocation can contribute for flood risk mitigation at household level. The remittance potential could be enhanced if it is used collectively

Abstract

Sukabumi development approach which has been more emphasis on economic growth tends to ignore the regional disparities. Therefore, it is necessary to study and identify the direction of regional development policy . By knowing the level of disparity that occurred in this research sought leading sectors and the level of regional development to build of the Sukabumi city. The analytical method used is the Williamson index , Theil index , Location Quotient , Shift Share Analysis , Entropy and Schallogram .
