Abstract

This research was conducted in order to understand the potential of landslide hazards in the Manikin Watershed and to map the slide hazards so that they can be used as a reference in conducting landslide disaster mitigation. The method used was scoring which was based on the Regulation of Minister of Public Works Number 22 /PRT/M/2007 about Guidelines for Spatial Planning for Landslide Disaster Prone Areas, and the parameter used were soil type, geological formation, rainfall, land use, and slopes. The results of the research showed that the landslide potential in the Manikin Watershed is dominated by Low Landslide Class which is 6,924.703 Ha in the area or 54.912 %. The next is the Medium Landslide Class which covers an area of 3,881.911 Ha or 30.783%, the High Landslide Class covers an area of 1,758.058 Ha or 13.941%, and the Very High Landslide Class covers an area of 45.96 Ha or 0.364%.  Keywords: Mapping, Landslide, Manikin Watershed, Geographic Information System (GIS)

Abstract

Determination of Example Villages is done intentionally (Purposive Sampling), with the consideration that the Citra Group is a long-established farmer group and is now still active in carrying out activities of groundwater spinach farming. Determination of respondents is done by using saturated samples, a total sample of 25 people. The analysis showed that: (1) The participation of Citra farmer group members in increasing the production of groundwater spinach was classified as high with an average score of 83% in achieving the maximum score. This means that farmer group members have good participation (2) The average productivity of ground kale from Citra farmer group members from September to October 2021 is 787 bunches/are. Keywords: Participation, Spinach, Kale Kale Production.

Abstract

Banana peel is a potential alternative feed source, but its use is limited by its tannin content. Tannins bind proteins, and minerals and reduce protein digestibility. The experiment aimed to evaluate the effect of palmyra sugar liquid (PSL) on tannin, calcium, and phosphorus levels of banana peel silage. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were GA0: banana peel without PSL, GA2: banana peel + 2% PSL, GA4: banana peel + 4% PSL, and GA6: banana peel + 6% PSL. A mixture of banana peels and PSL was put into a plastic jar while compacted. Then tightly closed and fermented for 21 days. Variables observed were the tannin, calcium, and phosphorus content of banana peel silage. The results showed that the PSL level had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the tannin, calcium, and phosphorus content of kepok banana peel silage. The use of 4% water sugar can reduce tannin levels and has the highest levels of calcium and phosphorus of kepok banana peel silage.Key Words:  Banana peel, Calcium, Fermentation, Phosphorus, Tannin

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the viability of kidney bean seed varieties Inerie is organic priming with different concentrations of young coconut water. This research was conducted in the Horticulture laboratory and screen house in the month of October 2021. The research design used was a Randomized Design Complete with 7 concentration treatments which were 4 repeated. The treatment used is the concentration of young coconut water that is 0% (control), 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60%. The results showed that a concentration of 30% young coconut water as organic priming can increase seed germination (83.00%) and seed growth speed (22.02%/day), and a concentration of 10% can increase seed growth synchrony (81.00%).Key Words:  Invigoration, Kidney Bean, Organic Priming, Young Coconut Water

Abstract

This study aimed the methanol extract of the leaves of Chromolaena odorata against Musca domestica flies. The research design used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments with 5 replications. Each experimental unit contained 20 flies. The tested extracts were divided into concentrations of 10% (P1), 20% (P2), 30% (P3), and 10% soap solution was applied by spray. The variables observed were flies that died after 12 hours of exposure to the extract. The data obtained was tested with ANOVA, if there was a significant difference, it was continued with the Duncan test. Based on the statistical results showed that there was a very significant difference between treatments (P<0.01). Duncan's test showed there was a significant difference in mortality of P4 with mortality of P1, P2, and P3 where P1, P2, and P3 gave the same effect on mortality of flies 89-100%. Thus the concentration of P1, P2, and P3 is better.Key Words:  Mortality, Musca domestica, Methanol extract, Chromolaena odorata

Abstract

Cocoa crackers are dry food made from tapioca flour with additional ingredients of cocoa porridge, coriander, salt, Masako, and garlic, which result are solid and white in color.  This study aims to determine the effect of adding tapioca flour on the quality of the crackers and the organoleptic quality of the cocoa crackers. This study used a completely randomized design ( CRD) method with 4 treatments repeated 3 times to obtain 12 experimental units. The variables observed were Texture, Color, and Taste. The data obtained were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results of the analysis using variance (ANOVA) showed that treatments A, B, C, and D advertised the effect on Textur, Color, and Taste on cocoa crackers giving each treatment and effect ( A not real, B real, C nor real, D not real )Keyword: Cocoa froth, Cocoa meat, Cocoa crackers, Organoleptic.

Abstract

A mangrove is a forest composed by various types of mangroves that live in areas where rivers and seas meet. This research was conducted to identify mangrove species in the eastern part of Menipo that use the 100% census method. The types of Mangroves found on Menipo Island in the eastern’s Nature park were 1. Rhizopora stylosa with 131 individual seedlings, 304 individual saplings, 290 individual trees, 2) Ceriops tagal with 122 individual saplings and 143 individual trees, 3) Rhizophora mucronate with 167 individual seedlings, 82 individual saplings and 190 individual trees, 4) Bruguiera parviflora with 79 individual saplings and 115 individual trees, and 5) Bruguiera cylindrical with 5 sapling stages of 3 individual trees. Key Words: Mangrove, Identification, Distribution, Menipo Island

Abstract

One approach to measuring farmers' welfare is the farmer's exchange rate. The study aims to examine the development of exchange rates of farmers in the food crop sector with quantitative descriptiveness and the factors that influence it with multiple regression models. The results showed that from January 2017 to December 2020, the exchange rate of farmers in the food crop sector experienced a downward trend. Household consumption expenditure; price of seedlings; prices of medicines and feed; land rent, taxes, and others; transportation costs; the cost of adding capital goods; and the wages of farmworkers together are significant explanations of the exchange rate of farmers in the food crop sector. Meanwhile, partially, only the price of seeds has a significant effect on the exchange rate of farmers in the food crop sector. Key Words: farmer exchange rate, food crops, East Nusa Tenggara

Abstract

Rice production technology that needs to be studied, in this study is water table regulation and amino acid administration. The study was conducted in Singkawang using a Complete Randomized Design.  Two-factor factorial. The first factor regulates the height of the water table +5 cm, 0 cm, -10 cm, -20 cm. The second factor is administration without amino acids, synthetic amino acids 500 ppm, amino acids gold snails 500 ppm and 1000 ppm. The interaction of the two factors occurred in the variables of the number of productive saplings at the age of 42 hst, root volume and stem rigidity. The combination of water level treatment of -10 cm and the application of 500 ppm golden snail amino acids is the best with the number of saplings 38, the volume of roots as much as 50 ml and the rigidity of the stem in the category is rather strongKeywords: gold snail, productive tiller, inundation, stem rigidity, synthetic amino acids
