Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and prove the composition of planting media and polybag size that can provide the best growth and yield of tomato. The design used was factorial randomized block design with three replications. The first factor is the composition of planting medium which is a mixture of soil, husk charcoal and manure consisting of three levels namely 1: 2: 3, 2: 1: 3 and 3: 2: 1. The second factor is a polybag size consisting of three levels namely 15 x 20 cm, 20 x 20 cm and 20 x 25 cm. The results showed that interaction between planting media composition and polybag size only occurred at plant height 14 DAP and fruit weight per plant of harvest III. The composition of planting medium has a significant effect on stem diameter 28 DAP and 42 DAP, fruit weight per plant of harvest I, harvest II and harvest III, the fresh and dry weight of stover. While the size of polybag significantly affect the soil temperature at each observation time, plant height 14 HST and 28 HST, stem diameter 28 HST, leaf area, weight per fruit, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant harvest I, harvest II, harvest III and total harvest, fresh weight and dried fruits and dry weight of the roots. While the size of polybag significantly affect the soil temperature at each observation time, plant height 14 HST and 28 HST, stem diameter 28 HST, leaf area, weight per fruit, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant harvest I, harvest II, harvest III and total harvest, fresh and dry weight of stover and dry weight of roots. Planting media with a 1: 2: 3 composition yields the highest total yield per crop of 964.5 g compared to 2: 1: 3 and 3: 2: 1. The use of polybags with a size of 20 x 25 gives the highest total yield per plant of 1,022.7 g compared to 15 x 20 and 20 x 20.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquid fertilizer Mitra Flora and moringa leaf extract on the growth and yield of mustard and to know the dose of liquid fertilizer Mitra Flora and moringa leaf extract that is appropriate for the growth and yield of mustard greens. The design used was factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor is Mitra Flora fertilizer dosage consists of three levels ie without liquid fertilizer Mitra Flora, 60 ml/plant, 120 ml/plant. The second factor is Moringa leaf extract consists of three levels, without extract of Moringa leaves, 75 ml/plant, 150 ml/plant. The result showed that there was no influence of interaction between Mitra Flora fertilizer and moringa leaf extract on all parameters observed, as well as the main influence of each factor of treatment either Mitra Flora fertilizer dosage or moringa leaf extract also did not occur on all parameters observed. Fertilizer dosage of Mitra Flora 60 ml per plant is the optimum dosage that gives the yield of mustard weighs 149.1 g per plant. The dose of moringa leaf extract of 150 ml per plant gives the best weave yield weighing 153 g per plant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compost dosage and the frequency of watering on the growth of Sengon Laut seedlings as well as to know compost dose and watering frequency that proper for optimum growth of Sengon Laut seedlings. The study used Randomized Block Design Factorial with three replications. The first factor is a compost dose consisting of three levels of control or 0 g per polybag, 30 g per polybag and 40 g per polybag. The second factor is the frequency of watering which consists of three levels ie twice a day, once a day and once in two days. The results showed no interaction effect between compost dose and frequency of watering on all parameters. The compost dose significantly affected the plant height parameters at each observation time, the diameter of the stem at each observation time, the fresh weight of the seedlings and the dry weight of the seedlings. The watering frequency had a significant effect on soil temperature 60 days after transplanting (DAT) and 90 DAT, plant height 30 DAT, stem diameter 30 DAT and 60 DAT. Compost dose of 30 g per polybag is the optimum dose for the growth of sengon seedlings while watering twice a day is the right watering frequency for the seedlings of sengon.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cow manure dosage on growth and yield of maize that intercropped with several varieties of soybeans. The experiment was conducted in the garden of Agriculture Faculty, Timor University using Factorial Random Block Design with three replications. The first factor is the dosage of cow manure which consists of three levels ie without fertilizer, 30 t / ha, and 40 t / ha. The second factor is soybean varieties consisting of three levels namely Davros, Willis and local. The results showed no interaction effect between dosage of cow manure and soybean varieties to all parameters observed. The dose of cow manure significantly influences the soil temperature of 75 days after planting (DAP), a moisture content of 50 DAP, stem diameter 25 DAP, number of seeds per line, dry weight of 100 seeds, dry weight of seed per plot and harvest index. Soybean varieties significantly affect the number of rows per corncob, the number of seeds per line and the dry weight of seeds per plot. Cow manure 40 t / ha is better dosage and Local varietal soybean is more suitable for intercropping with maize that yields 1.0 t / ha and 0.7 t / ha soybeans.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan dosis pupuk kandang serta mendapatkan jenis pupuk kandang dan dosis pupuk yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang hijau yang terbaik. Percobaan lapangan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial yang diulang tiga kali. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk kandang yang terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu pupuk kandang sapi, pupuk kandang babi dan pupuk kandang ayam. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk yang terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu 5 t/ha, 10 t/ha dan 15 t/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh interaksi hanya terjadi pada parameter jumlah biji per polong dan berat kering berangkasan sedangkan parameter lainnya tidak terjadi interaksi antara perlakuan jenis dan dosis pupuk kandang. Jenis pupuk kandang berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman 14 HST dan panjang polong, sedangkan dosis pupuk kandang berpengaruh nyata terhadap suhu tanah 28 HST dan 42 HST serta jumlah polong per tanaman. Pemberian pupuk kandang babi memberikan hasil tertinggi pada kacang hijau yakni 1,43 t/ha, sedangkan dosis pupuk kandang 10 t/ha memberikan hasil tertinggi pada kacang hijau yakni 1,58 t/ha. Pemberian pupuk kandang babi dengan dosis 10 t/ha dapat mencapai hasil kacang hijau 1,91 t/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhwaktu aplikasi dan dosis pupuk kandang babi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang kedelai sekaligus mendapatkan waktu aplikasi dan dosis pupuk kandang babi yang tepat bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang kedelai. Penelitian mengunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial 3 x 3 yang diulang tiga kali. Faktor pertama adalah waktu aplikasi pupuk kandang babi yang terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu -7 HST, -14 HST dan -21 HST. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk kandang babi yang terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu 5 t/ha, 10 t/ha dan 15 t/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terjadi pengaruh interaksi antara waktu aplikasi dan dosis pupuk kandang babi terhadap terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai. Waktu aplikasi hanya berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap diameter batang 28 HST, sedangkan dosis pupuk berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 14 HST, diameter batang 42 HST, luas daun, berat kering 100 biji dan berat segar maupun berat kering berangkasan. Pemberian pupuk kandang babi pada -14 HST adalah waktu yang tepat dan memberikan hasil kedelai 1,629 t/ha. Dosis 15 t/ha merupakan dosis yang lebih baik dan memberikan hasil kedelai 1,647 t/ha. Jika pemberian pupuk kandang babi dilakukan pada -14 HST dengan dosis 15 t/ha maka hasil kedelai mencapai 2,090 t/ha.

Abstract

Penggunaan mulsa bertujuan untuk mempertahankan suhu tanah, kelembaban tanah, kandungan bahan organik, mengurangi jumlah dan kecepatan aliran permukaan, meningkatkan penyerapan air, dan menekan pertumbuhan gulma, sehingga dapat tersedia kondisi lingkungan yang optimum bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Selain itu diduga beberapa kultivar lokal memiliki tanggapan berbeda terhadap penggunaan mulsa. Percobaan lapangan dilaksanakan untuk mempelajari pengaruh mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kultivar terung lokal di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Timor, Kefamenanu, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, NTT, menggunakan Rancangan Petak Berjalur (Strip Plot Design) 3 x 3 diulang 3 kali. Faktor pertama adalah kultivar terung (kualoto) lokal yaitu; buah bulat kecil (fua bubu ana) , buah bulat besar (fua bubu naek) dan buah bulat panjang (fua bubu mnanu). Faktor kedua adalah Mulsa yaitu; dari alang-alang, plastik hitam, dan tanpa mulsa. Hasil Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa semua kultivar terung lokal cocok pada lahan yang ditutupi mulsa alang-alang dan hasil tertinggi diperoleh terung lokal buah bulat panjang. Pada lahan tanpa mulsa, maupun yang ditutupi mulsa plastik, kultivar terung lokal buah bulat besar beradaptasi lebih baik.

Abstract

Study the effect of gamma irradiation on the performance of the plant seed from the chicken's comb (Celosia cristata L.) aims to Obtain mutant plants Celosia unique, interesting, and stable that can be used as a lucrative new varieties on the market. Getting a mutant plant that has the highest diversity in LD50. The experiment was conducted in February 2013 to April 2013. This research was conducted at the Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) Pasar Minggu and Development Center of Ornamental Plants Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Taman Kencana, Bogor. This study uses Celosia seeds irradiated with various doses. The dose used is: 0 Gy, 10 Gy, 20 Gy, 30 Gy, 40 Gy, 50 Gy. Observations were made on the Reduction parameter Dose (RD) 50, High Plant (cm), Number Buds (buds), Flower color and Form Flowers. The results showed that the highest dose of 10 plants and 20 gy is 29 cm, while the plant height is lowest at a dose of 40 gy is 24 cm. The highest number of shoots was shown by a dose of 50 gy, gy that radiation dose 10 purplish pink flowers and red. Irradiated interest is soaring upwards but then widened to the side.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan aplikasi bioinsektisida dan sistem tanam yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil padi sawah yang maksimal, dilaksanakan di lahan sawah Benkoko, Desa Letmafo, Kecamatan Insana Tengah, Kabupaten TTU pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2014. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 2 x 3 yang diulang tiga kali. Faktor pertama adalah frekuensi aplikasi bioinsektisida yang terdiri dari satu kali aplikasi dan dua kali aplikasi bioinsektisida. Faktor kedua adalah sistem tanam yang terdiri dari sistem legowo 2:1, sistem legowo 3:1, sistem legowo 4:1 dan sistem tegel 20 x 20 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan cara tanam jajar legowo lebih cenderung meningkatkan bobot gabah kering panen dan mengurangi adanya serangan hama pada tanaman padi sawah. Penggunaan bioinsektisida 2 kali aplikasi cenderung meningkatkan hasil namun secara ekonomis 1 kali aplikasi bioinsektisida sudah cukup untuk mengurangi populasi hama.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain probiotic bacteria that are antagonistic bacteria to Colletotrichum acutatum and to improve chilli seeds quality. The purpose of this study was to obtain probiotic bacteria antagonistic to C. acutatum and prevent seed-borne diseases. The layout of the experiment arranged in completely randomized design factorial design with two factors. The first factor is the seed coating that consists of 6 levels i.e control / without coating (c0), coating without bacteria (c1), coating Bacillus sp. (c2), coating Pseudomonas sp. (c3), coating Actinomycetes sp. (c4) and fungicidal coating (c5). The second factor is the storage period is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 months. The results showed that three bacteria that are antagonistic to C. acutatum, i.e.Actinomycetes sp. (ATS6) having inhibition percentage of56, 8%, Bacillus sp. (B48) having inhibition percentage 56,7% and Pseudomonas sp. (P12) having inhibition percentage 46,7%. Application of probiotic bacteria increased viability and the health of chilli seed for storage period of 5 months, seen from maximum growth potential 80-84%, germination capacity 76-78,7%, infected seeds in coating of Actinomycetes sp., 2,6% and Bacillus sp., 6,7%.Bacillus sp. contained 91,8 ppm indole acetic acid (IAA) and 103,2 ppm giberelins (GA3), Actinomycetes sp. contained 89,6 ppm IAA and 92,5 ppm giberelin and Pseudomonas sp. contained 68,9 ppm IAA and 69,2 ppm giberelin.
