Abstract

Reduced forest products cause also reduced of large-dimensional wood that has high quality. One alternative to solve the problem is by doing laminate engineering by combining different quality wooden layers into specific sized beams as desired. The type of wood and the position of layer give effect to the laminate beam capacity. The aim of this research was to find out the flexural capacity (MOR) of Mahang and Meranti wood laminated beams which layers were varied which then the result of the laminated beam was compared with the solid beams. There were 3 types of laminate specimens made with dimension 5x7x76 cm3 which consisted of 7 layers; BL K1 beam consisted of 2 layers of Meranti wood at the top and bottom of the beam and 5 layers of Mahang in the middle; BL K2 beam consisted of 4 layers of Meranti wood at the top and bottom of the beam, and 3 layers of Mahang in the middle; and BL K3 beam consisted of 6 layers of Meranti wood at the top and bottom of the beam and 1 layer of Mahang in the middle. The test results showed that the use of wood of higher specific gravity at the outermost layer has increased the flexural capacity (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE), particularly in laminated beams (Meranti wood and Mahang wood) with the same numbers of layers. Moreover, in same number or greater layer proportion between Mahang and Meranti wood, the result showed the increased of MOR and MOE of laminated beams compared with solid beam that has low specific gravity (Mahang).

Abstract

Jalan Martapura Lama is an alternative road connecting Banjarmasin, Martapura and Banjarbaru city and it is under the administration of Banjar Regency. The existence of Sungai Lulut Market in Kilometer 05 consistently causing congestion to the area, especially during peak hours. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of market activities on the performance of Jalan Martapura Lama KM 05 indicated by the degree of saturation (DS) and the value of the level of road service. The method of primary data collection was by conducting traffic surveys and measuring geometric conditions in the site manually on Tuesday to Thursday, 06-08 February 2018 during the morning rush hour (07.00-08.00 a.m), the noon hour (12.00-14.00 p.m) and afternoon rush hour (16.00 to 18.00 p.m) while the secondary data was obtained from the internet. The calculation refers to Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. From the calculation results it can be concluded that the impact of market activities on the performance of Jalan Martapura Lama KM 05 indicated by the degree of saturation (DS) and the value of road level of service with the optimum DS is 0,68 with the value of level of road service is C on Thursday’s afternoon rush hour and the minimum DS is 1.34 with the value of level of road service is F on Wednesday’s morning rush hour. With a total frequency of occurrences and side friction class of 571 frequencies, the maksimum friction is incoming and outgoing vehicles on area alongside roads (EEVs) of 446 occurrences on Tuesday in the morning rush hour.

Abstract

The City of Banjarmasin has very low soil bearing capacity leading to a significant number of buildings experiencing foundation settlement. This causes many elements of the buildings to develop cracks and to lean. The foundation settlement is modelled using ANSYS by taking five building structure models with brick walls loaded with their selves weight. Through this modelling the crack pattern and the stress distribution on both walls and the structural elements can be visualised and identified. The results show that the following columns experiencing foundation settlement develop longitudinal cracks, crack patterns on brick walls are diagonal at every bottom corner of the columns and vertical at the edge of the inner columns if there is no foundation settlement. Crack patterns on brick walls take form of a letter V if only one or two outer column experience foundation settlement, and crack patterns on brick walls also take form of an inverted letter V if only the inner columns or two adjacent columns experience foundation settlement. Foundation settlement experienced by inner columns of a brick wall is a major cause of damage to structural components.

Abstract

A scaffolding is a construction helper on building construction work. The scaffolding is made when the building work occupies a height of more than 2 meters and can not be reached by the workers. Because of the availability of galam wood in Banjarmasinis increasingly rare, thus the search for alternative material for scaffolding that is more durable, easier to get and can be used repeatedly is necessary to conduct. One of them is iron scaffolding. This research calculated and compared the cost of using galam wood scaffolding and iron scaffolding in the purchase price and rental price to find out which type of scaffolding is more economical to use. The method used in this research was descriptive method and comparative method . The locations of data retrieval were on the construction of Central Bureau of Statistics Office (BPS) South Kalimantan Province on Jl Trikora Banjarbaru and 3-storey building on Jl. Banua Anyar Banjarmasin. Based on the calculation in the area of 1m2 the cost of galam wood scaffolding work of Rp. 147,057,81, -, the iron scaffolding work in rental price of Rp. 201,033,81 and the cost of iron scaffolding in the purchase price of Rp. 2,214,161,06 obtained. These results showed that the cost of galam wood scaffolding work 26.85% cheaper than the iron scaffolding in the rental price and 15 times the cost of iron scaffolding in the purchase price. Abstract

The condition of soil in Banjarmasin which is dominated by wetland with a soil bearing capacity of as low as 0.2 kg/cm2 means that buildings require costly foundations. This condition requires that developers be more selective and perform optimisation in choosing types of soft-soil foundations to ensure maximum profit from the building investment. The objective of this research is to optimise the use of a given building area by assigning different types of sub-structure subject to a number of constraints. Optimization is used by operations research methods which are solved by Integer Programming Software QM for Windows version 2.1 and is based on the development of a housing fictitious data X type-36 in Banjarmasin. The analysis result showed that the composition of the optimum number of types of houses built is for type-A 30 units, type-B 17 units, and type-C 20 units with maximum profit of Rp.4,000,000,000, the required development area is 5,360 m2 with production costs required Rp.20,000,000,000 and the construction time of all types of houses is along 67 weeks.

Abstract

Adequate water availability in irrigation systems is an important factor in the success of irrigation agriculture, including Sungai Tabuk irrigation system which land is planted with rice paddy, fields rice paddy and crops. The availability of water in Kecamatan Tabuk River was calculated by dependable flow analysis using flow data from Mock method calculation. The model of rainfall-flow relationship with the monthly interval used was Mock Method, and 80% dependable flow was used to calculate the availability of the irrigation water. Based on the rainfall and evapotranspiration data (Mock method) in irrigation system of Sungai Tabuk area, the average flow per year of 5.758 m3 / sec obtained. With the highest flow occurred in March of 9.405m3 / sec and the lowest flow was in September at 1.616 m3 / sec. The 80% dependable flow was an average of 3.504 m3 / sec with the highest 80% of the highest dependable flow recorded in February of 7.37 m3 / sec and the lowest flow was in October which 80% flow was 0.24 m3 / sec. The calculation of irrigation water needed was based on KP-01. The calculation results showed that the average water demand was 2.690 m3 / sec with the beginning of planting on December I by using ordinary rice-ordinary rice planting pattern; while the average water demand for crops was 0.029 m3 / sec. From the analysis, the availability of irrigation water of Sungai Tabuk (average value of 3,504 m3 / sec) can fulfil the irrigation water requirement (average value of 2,690 + 0,029 = 2,719 m3 / second).

Abstract

Waste is a serious problem faced at this time. A lot of pollution and diseases caused by waste, therefore many efforts are made so that waste can be utilized even contain economic value. One of the utilization of waste is as an eco-cement used as a substitute for cement. This study used the concrete quality of the plan fc '= 10 MPa and fc' = 20 MPa, the making of concrete utilized waste ash in lieu of cement in predetermined quantities, waste ash obtained from organic waste and inorganic waste that was burned to ash and then filtered using 100 and 200 sieves. Variations of ash addition of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% of the volume ratio. Age of concrete testing was 7, 14 and 28 days. The results obtained from the test indicate that the material used met a predetermined standard, with the variation of the concrete weight mixture of concrete unchanged. From the concrete strength test result for fc '= 10 MPa, the best concrete mixed variation is 20% with compressive strength equal to 12,76 MPa at 28 day age, fc = 20 MPa concrete quality with best mix variation 20% has compressive strength of 17.29 MPa, the largest compressive strength value compared with the compressive strength of concrete containing ash, the compressive strength difference of 13.8% lower than the normal compressive strength of the concrete, while the effect of each mixture variation on the age of concrete is linear; with the increase of the age, the compressive strength tends to increase.

Abstract

Agriculture is a field that plays a very important role in meeting the food needs of a country. Irrigation is aimed at controlling or controlling water on land, so that the farming process is more productive and effective. One area that has the potential to be developed is Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan. Therefore made Pitap irrigation channels. The construction of the irrigation channel has been around for more than 6 years (until 2019), it is necessary to observe and analyze the water demand and the availability of water in the irrigation in order to create a suitable development planning and productivity of agricultural products for the area. This study uses primary and secondary data collection methods, and the results obtained in the form: Water demand in November is 5.45 m3 / second for the first half, and for the second half is 5.72 m3 / second, water availability in November is 3,981 m3 / second (taken from the mainstay of 80% monthly discharge), the water balance shows that in November there was a water shortage deficit of 1.47 m3 / second for the first half, and 1.74 m3 / second.

Abstract

Dalam makalah ini mendiskusikan mengenai pengembangan fasilitas infrastruktur umum di Komplek Bumi Mas Lestari Perdagangan Banjarmasin yaitu Pembangunan Jalan lingkungan yang secara khusus meninjau bagian tanah dasar dan ketebalan timbunan sirtu. Perhitungan daya dukung tanah dasar mengacu kepada input nilai CBR metode SNI yaitu index dan engineering properties, uji kepadatan tanah standar proctor di laboratorium dan uji CBR Laboratorium. Studi penelitian terhadap tanah dasar yang dibandingkan adalah tanpa dan dengan penggunaan penambahan semen 9% terhadap tanah asli lanau lunak berlempung plastisitas rendah, hasil yang dapat mewakili untuk perbandingan nilai kelayakan subgrade adalah pemenuhan terhadap ketentuan nilai CBR subgrade pada Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga sebesar minimum 6% pada pelaksanaan timbunan jalan, karena antara nilai CBR tanah dasar asli yang dihasilkan 4% dan setelah distabilisasi menggunakan semen menghasilkan peningkatan 9,8%, tanah dasar telah memenuhi persyaratan dan dapat digunakan menjadi bagian dari konstruksi perkerasan jalan diatasnya sebagai penopang. Abstract This paper discuss infrastucture development of road transportation in Bumi Mas Lestari Housing Compex Construction mainly Road access facility construction mainly for subgrade and embankment of thickness materials. The calculation of theoretical bearing capacity of subgrade based on Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI), including Proctor Standard and CBR test laboratory.research focus on cement mixing between natural condition of subgrade using 9% cement ratio in silty clayey low plasticity type of soil sample. Conduct Bina Marga Specification of Road Construction, minimum CBR Design is 6% was allowed with 9,8% CBR Design after mixing cement as stabilitation of 4% CBR design before.

Abstract

Plastik sebagai hasil sampingan dari aktivitas masyarakat, menjadi penyumbang terbesar sampah di Indonesia, sehingga diperlukan penanganan khusus agar permasalahan plastik tersebut dapat terselesaikan. Salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan plastik tersebut sebagai bahan tambahan campuran beraspal HRS-WC sehingga diharapkan selain berkurangnya jumlah sampah, jumlah penggunaan aspal minyak pun dapat ditekan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan plastik LDPE (Low Density Poly Ethylene) terhadap karakteristik campuran beraspal HRS-WC, mengetahui perbandingan nilai karakteristik marshall antara campuran HRS-WC dengan dan tanpa tambahan plastik LDPE, menentukan kadar aspal optimum dan kadar campuran plastik LDPE optimum pada campuran HRS-WC. Pengujian yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Struktur dan Bahan Poliban, antara lain pengujian agregat, pengujian aspal dan pengujian marshall. Benda uji yang dibuat berupa benda uji tanpa tambahan plastik dan dengan tambahan plastik sebanyak masing-masing 15 buah. Dari hasil pengujian, campuran aspal tanpa Plastik LDPE diperoleh nilai stabilitas 1.490 kg, flow 4,20 mm, VMA 110% dan Marshall Quotient 380 kg/ mm sedangkan pada campuran dengan plastik LDPE, nilai stabilitas sebesar 1.900 kg, flow 4,20 mm, nilai VMA105% dan nilai Marshall Quotient 610 kg /mm. Dengan nilai KAO sebesar 6,50% dan kadar plastik sebesar 5,0%.
