Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengujian daya hambat ekstrak etanol sabut kelapa (Cocos nucifera Linn) terhadap pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli pada tahu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak etanol sabut kelapa yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan mikroba S.aureus dan E.coli pada tahu. Sabut kelapa diekstrak menggunakan etanol 96% dan di aplikasikan pada tahu dengan variasi konsentrasi 1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, 3000 ppm, 4000 ppm, 5000 ppm, 6000 ppm dan 7000 ppm. Selanjutnya diaplikasikan pada tahu dengan metode cawan menggunakan total plate count. Hasil perendaman ekstrak etanol sabut kelapa terhadap tahu menunjukkan konsentrasi ekstrak yang paling menghambat yaitu pada konsentrasi 7000 ppm dengan waktu 24 jam sebesar 3751 Cfu/mL untuk bakteri S.aureus dan konsentrasi 7000 ppm dengan waktu 96 jam pada bakteri E.coli. Ambang batas cemaran mikroba pada tahu sesuai SNI 2009 nomor 7388 yaitu 5×104 koloni/mL.

Abstract

Pemodelan struktur zeolit Y telah diteliti dengan variasi rasio Si/Al, variasi kation dan penambahan molekul organik menggunakan metode mekanika molekuler. Pemodelan zeolit dilakukan dengan membuat kerangka struktur satu unit sel zeolit Y. Zeolit Y dengan energi optimasi terendah (Si/Al = 4,3) dipilih untuk studi pengaruh penambahan kation (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+) dan molekul organik (C4H9OH, C5H11OH, C6H5OH) pada diameter pori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan struktur zeolit Y dengan impregnasi kation K+ dan molekul organik C4H9OH memiliki diameter pori terbesar yaitu 16,0303  dan 15,9126 .

Abstract

Two isoprenylated coumarins, imperatorin (1), isopimpinelin (2) and one indol alkaloid compound, canthine-6-one (3) were isolated from the stem bark of Zanthoxylum ovalifolium Tutcher. Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic data such as UV, IR, MS and NMR. Imperatorin (1) showed high activity toward DPPH radical and isopimpinelin (2) and chantine-6-one (3) has moderate activity.

Abstract

The flavonoid had been isolated from ethyl acetate extract of Kerehau leaf (Callicarpa longifolia Lam.). Extraction was done by maceration and fraction method. Isolation of pure compound was done by chromatographic flash coloumn. The resulted of isolated flavonoid was yellow greeness powder and 174-178°C melting point. Based on data IR can be conclude that isolated compound is flavonol group. Effect of toxicity from isolate identified with presentage of prawn larva (BSLT method) and counted by probit analysis (LC 50 ). Abstract

Analysis of iron ion (Fe2+) and lead ion (Pb2+) content in canned mackerel based long storage time has been investigated. The content of iron ion (Fe2+) and lead ion (Pb2+) has been analysed used the instrument Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Based on long storage time result analysis of the content of iron ion (Fe2+) in canned mackerel the lowest is 2,71 mg/Kg with long storage time of 33 month and the highest is 5,21 mg/Kg with long storage time of 9 month while the result analysis of lead ion (Pb2+) in canned mackerel is not detected. Based on the result conclude is long storage time not affect the levels iron ion (Fe2+) and lead ion (Pb2+) in canned mackerel.

Abstract

The Isolation of phenolic compound in methanol-water fraction from Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack that come from Bulungan have been done. The air-dried powdered from corm of ant plant (Myrmecodia tuberosa Jack) (250 gram) were extracted by methanol at room temperature      (27 oC) and fractioned with n-hexane then ethyl acetate. Partition of phenolic compounds in Methanol-Water fraction was chromatographed on silica gel column (35–70 mesh) that eluted with Isocratic method and gave 10 fractions as a result, that fractions were A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I dan J fraction. C; E; G and H (alliance fraction) gave the best spot partitioned and the spot was not fluorescence. Purification of alliance fraction gave yellow-brown crystal with retention factor 0.52 that eluted with methanol : ethyl acetat (8:2) whereas the retention factor in methanol 0.82 and ethyl acetate 0,33. Infrared spectrum of alliance fraction shown absorption at value : 3351.83; 2945.33; 2833.04; 1741.00; 1451.60; 1215.67; 885.74 and 776.74 cm-1 with melting point 224 - 228oC. UV and Visible spectrum of alliance fraction shown wavelength at value 263 and 334 nm. Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh waktu kontak, variasi berat katalis TiO2-Zeolit, tanpa penggunaan lampu UV dan perbandingan material (Zeolit, TiO2 dan TiO2-Zeolit). Tahap awal meliputi preparasi zeolit alam, aktivasi dengan larutan HCl 3 N, modifikasi melalui proses impregnasi dan diaplikasikan secara fotokatalisis. TiO2-Zeolit dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan FTIR, SEM-EDX dan XRD. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan bilangan gelombang dari zeolit dan TiO2 muncul pada material TiO2-Zeolit. SEM-EDX menunjukkan bentuk morfologi bentuk partikel-partikel bulat yang seragam dengan komposisi TiO2 38,15%. Pola XRD menunjukkan adanya TiO2 pada material TiO2-Zeolit. Berdasarkan data tersebut diperoleh waktu kontak optimum 30 menit dengan dengan berat katalis optimum sebesar 0,5 gram TiO2-Zeolit menghasilkan persen degradasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan Zeolit dan TiO2 yakni masing-masing sebesar 98,73%; 51,00% dan 36,26%, sedangkan degradasi tanpa penggunaan lampu UV sebesar 84,84%.

Abstract

Two isoprenylated flavanones namely as lonchocarpol A (1) dan lupinifolin (2) were isolated from the stem bark of Limonia accidissima L. Erythrina fusca L. Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic data such as UV, IR, MS and NMR. Compounds 1–2 were evaluated for their antimalarial against Plasmodium falciparum strain 3D7 showing their IC50 were 1.18 and 0.8 µg/ml, respectively and very high activity.

Abstract

The phytochemical test, brine shrimp lethality test and antioxidant activity test on secondary metabolits of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.) leaves has been completed. The leaves samples are extracted by masseration method that is concentrated by using rotary evaporator. The total extract are fractioned with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Based on secondary metabolits phytochemical test of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.) leaves showed that total extract and Ethyl Acetat fraction extract contains alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins, steroids and triterpenoids. N-hexane fraction extract contain alkaloids, steroids and tritepenoids. In brine shrimp lethality test, the increase larvae death data was recorded and processed using SAS Probit Analysis to determine the Lethal Concentration 50 % (LC50) value. The results of this test showed that the most active extract is metanol extract with LC50 value of 88.0227 ppm. Based on the antioxidant activity by scavenging activity of DPPH used spectrophotometry was obtained that Inhibition Concentration 50% (IC50) of total extract is 369.0833 ppm, extract of n-hexane fraction is 1532.267 ppm and extract of ethyl acetat fraction is 82.89003 ppm.

Abstract

The manufacture of nanocomposites polyvinyl alcohol/cellulose nanofiber isolated from empty bunch fruit palm oil has been done. The isolation process was carried out in two stages : α-cellulose from EBFPO which followed by isolation of CN from α-cellulose using steam explosion method. The process of α-cellulose hydrolisis was done using H2C2O4 11%. Nanocomposites PVA/CN were characterized by morphologycal, thermal, and mechanical analysis. FT-IR spectra show C-O-C stretch of cellulose nanofiber at 1059,99 cm-1, which indicated that there are glycoside bonding in coumpound structure. The peaks near 2900,94 cm-1 and 3348,42 cm-1 are representative of the C-H and OH groups. The result of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image show that diameter of cellulose nanofibre around 44,6 nm. PVA/CN nanocomposites at the optimum ratio of (80:20)% showed the thermal stability around 263,48oC and tensile strength around 17,41 MPa and Young’s Modulus 0,9 GPa, and surface area was smooth and homogen.
