BBR has been accredited by DIKTI under the decree number 158/E/KPT/2021. BBR provide a forum for lecturers, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and postgraduate students to publish empirical multidiscipline research in business & management research, from operations to corporate governance and marketing. Abstract

Educational success is largely determined by the performance of teachers in education. This study aims to examine the contribution of teacher competencies and motivation role in determining the teacher performance. The population in this study were teachers GMI Emmanuel Education Foundation by 74 people. Instruments used in this study was a questionnaire enclosed, was tested with test validity and reliability. The method analysis used discriminant analysis, cluster analysis, Regression, and Path Analysis. The results of cluster analysis showed most teachers who have a positive attitude toward the teacher performance variables. The results of path analysis showed that the research hypothesis accepted in the sense that there are significantly contribution among exogen variables and endogen variable.

Abstract

To compete with nowadays business is to implement technology and align it into their business strategy. One of technology that commonly implement is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This research will examined what are critical success factor of ERP and the impact of their business outcomes. A framework model for ERP Implementation success is constructs from several research or previous study in Implementation ERP. This study will extends in the research field of successful implementation ERP and implication factor for business practice to have more knowledge in term of implementation ERP and their business strategy.

Abstract

According to the VAT Act the category of small enterpreneur is an entrepreneur who attempts the circulation does not exceed 600 million rupiah, while according to the Income Tax Act is a business entrepreneur who has the total of revenues no more than 4.8 billion rupiah. The small retaillers with sales revenue above 600 million and below 4.8 billion rupiah which Income Tax Act could use the special rate of 0.75% of the total revenues required to levy VAT at 10% of sale revenues or when under 1.8 billion rupiah  the VAT rate is of 3-4%. The imposition of value added tax which unfairly results in the lower level of taxpayer compliance. This study focuses on the implications of VAT rates on the small retailler who has the circulation of business between 600 million to 4.8 billion rupiah to the amount of tax revenue. From the research conducted based on the comparatives research method, the descriptive analysis of documents and interviews produced that the reduction in the VAT rate impacts in increased state revenue.

Abstract

The primary objectives of this research is to learn the amounts of industrial company using income smoothing practices and effecting among company size, return on assets, financial leverage, and operating leverage with income smoothing practices neither simultaneous nor partial. Data secondary collected by industrial companies listed at Indonesian Stock Exchage and the journal preceding research persons. The sesults of this research describe that there are 11 from 31 samples of industrial company using income smoothing practices. Company size, Return on assets, and financial leverage have not any an effecting significant to income smoothing practices, and Operating leverage have an effecting significant to income smoothing practices, but Company size, Return on assets, Financial leverage, and Operating Leverage have the simultaneous effecting significants to income smoothing practices. The topic of this research can be continued using a certain industrial groups or added many new independence variables, because if compared to proceeding research persons who mention the same and differences of its.

Abstract

Understanding why dissatisfied consumers complain the way they do is a very important issue to be discussed from theoretical, managerial perspectives. As it is the main reason for the researcher to conduct this study. This study taken from D’Lofts Apartment situated near to Bina Nusantara University. The method being used is non-parametric statistics to test the hypotheses and descriptive statistics to figure out the main reasons of complaining behavior. As the results show that price and lack of loyalty from the landlord are the main reasons consumer’s anger. Whilst the most provocative action they may take is to bad-mouth the quality given.

Abstract

Condition of customers who are increasingly critical in terms of quality forces company to be able to maintain and improve the quality of its products in order to avoid claim or dissatisfaction from customers to the company to remain competitive with other similar companies. Handling customer complaints keeps customer to no change product. Satisfied customers are likely to behave and act loyal to the company. This study used questionnaire distributed to the customers of cooking oil product displaying the hotline service on the packaging. Respondents of the research were 100 persons. Research used path analysis to analyze data. Results shows that the quality of the product and handling customer complaint significantly affect customer satisfaction so as to create loyal attitude and behavior.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors that influence consumer decisions in purchasing products in Alfamart minimarket in Pinang, a subdistrict of Tangerang. The population in this study is the consumers of householdproducts that is retailed in minimarket Alfamart. The sampling technique used is purposive random sampling and samples are taken from 200 consumers. The purpose of the study is to examine and analyze the factors that may affect consumers decisions in purchasing products on Alfamart mini market. The method of analysis is multiple regression analysis and assumptions test. The validity and reliability test is done by using the help ofSPSS (Statistical Program for Society Science) versus16:00. The analysis shows that all positive significant factors affect consumers decisions in purchasing products and it is evidenced by the significance 0.000<0.05,and the factor of location has no significance as evidenced by the significance value 0.478>0.05 and the value of R Square value 0.369, it means that it is only 36.9% of consumer decisions are influenced by factors of locations.

Abstract

Universities as an organization are always influenced by the dynamic external environment, in both national and global levels. Therefore, in order to maintain its competitiveness for its sustainability, the role of university as the center of knowledge and science, as well as the center of research and of Community Service shall continue to be competitive and ensure their sustainability growth. The purpose of this paper is an in depth study of factors influencing the competitiveness of universities in Indonesia. The method used in this work is using the review of the literature (studies Reader). Literature Review is intended to solve a problem which is basically based on the critical and comprehensive review of the relevant collection materials. Based on the study found that the aspects of leadership while Higher Education as a driving force to attempt the power of competitiveness strengths in order to escalate in the competition areas, and obtain results of competition result as expected by both terms based on students quality and quantity, adequate earning income, social and cultural attributes to the organizational image building.

Abstract

Lately, the business development based on religion background, Islam, is growing and expanding. Besides banking, insurance, education, and others, the sharia concept also in hotel. Sharia hotel is an interesting phenomenon. On the other side, the appearance of sharia hotels in the nation is having two thumbs up. Sharia hotel brand, as in other sharia products, eventhough the target market is more specific and segmented, but it is possible that the product will have high demand not from Islamic community only. The article uses research method regarding trend analysis and literature review. The result showed that there is challenge towards sharia hotels to present concept, human resources and implementation that represents business figure based on sharia: eastern specialty, barokah, classy, and interesting.

Abstract

PT Cipta Lestari Packindo is a manufacturing company engaging in the manufacture of cardboards. In its operational activities, the company experiences problems like defects or faults in the cardboard production process. Therefore, there’s a need for continuous improvements so that the company won’t suffer either from loss or cost of quality that will appear in the future. To achieve that, the seven tools of quality approach were used in an attempt to repair and reduce the level of errors and the defects in production. Results of this research found there are eight types of the cardboard defection occurred during the productions. By using pareto diagram, research found three major problems that took the biggest roles: pieces that are not aligned with the rotary engine, pieces that are not aligned with the coak engine, and missing in the printing process. In the analysis process of the reduction of defective productions within the three major problems, there are six factors causing the defections: men, machines, methods, measurements, materials, and environments—with men and machines as the biggest contributors. By doing continuous improvements, the level of the defective production will decrease eventually.
