Abstract

Technological innovation in the construction sector is needed not only aimed at faster construction but also environmentally friendly. Engineering the formwork system using aluminum is one of the technological innovations to accelerate development and adopt the 3R (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) concept. To support the use of aluminum formwork, an environmentally friendly supply chain activity management model is needed. The Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) approach is one method that can reduce waste. This study analyzes the driving and inhibiting factors of GSCM using aluminum formwork in an apartment project in Semarang. The method of compiling this research used a qualitative method, where interviews were conducted which were then made into complete transcripts and grouped each opinion with a SWOT matrix approach. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, 4 factors have a significant effect. Among these 4 factors, there are 2 driving factors, namely government regulations regarding environmental protection and commitment to protecting the environment, and 2 inhibiting factors, namely the availability of suppliers who implement GSCM practices in construction areas and require careful planning. The use of aluminum formwork can save costs up to 5.44% with a construction time of 6 days faster than conventional methods.

Abstract

Concrete beams that receive a positive bending force, at the top will experience a compressive force while at the bottom receive a tensile force. The theory that reinforced concrete is a structural system where the steel or reinforcement in the concrete functions to withstand tension, then the concrete below the neutral line does not receive a compressive force but transmits a tensile force to the reinforcement. This study analyzes and reduces the area in the tensile area by continuously installing 2 inch diameter PVC pipes and adding fiber to the concrete. This reduction in area is expected to reduce weight and material savings without reducing its strength. This research was carried out with a sample of 28 days old concrete blocks with quality f'c = 21.04 MPa with dimensions of 12 cm x 18 cm x 250 cm, with 4Ø10 mm reinforcement with quality fy = 450 MPa. Concrete beams are made in 3 variations in the form of solid beams, hollow beams without fiber, hollow beams with fiber. Each variation has 2 samples. From the test results, all beams experienced flexural cracks which were characterized by cracks perpendicular to the beam axis and flexural strength behavior which the difference was not significant. From the three variations of this beam, it shows that the results of the hollow beam with the addition of fiber have a greater first crack load. The addition of fiber is able to slow down the cracks that occur and contribute to withstand tensile stresses so that the beam still has strength to bear the load even though cracks have occurred. Based on the calculation simulation, in order to equalize the strength of the hollow beam with fiber, the dimensions of the solid beam need to be enlarged so that the solid beam becomes more expensive. This shows that hollow beams with fiber are more economical than solid beams.

Abstract

The Benel Dam, one of the dams in Bali, is an already operational dam, so it necessary to monitor the behavior of the dam body to be able to find out as early as possible if an anomaly occurs, one of which is monitoring seepage discharge at the v-notch. The purpose of this study is to determine the fluctuation of seepage discharge and its correlation to the reservoir level, and to determine the safety of the seepage discharge that occurs. The evaluation of seepage discharge is carried out on reading data that is not influenced by rainfall, then compares it with the limits of the seepage acceptance criteria and seepage index. From the analysis results show the correlation between seepage discharge and reservoir level r = 0.2296 and after parsing the data, it is obtained for 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019 data that the correlation level is moderate - very strong. The results of the parsing then selected data that is not affected by rainfall. The seepage discharge that occurs is still smaller than 0.14 liters/minute/meter, while the seepage index (QI) is greater than 1. In the seepage index analysis, it is necessary to use the seepage path length parameter that is appropriate or close to the actual condition.

Abstract

The construction of shelters that were not carried out simultaneously resulted in theconstruction of shelters along the Penggaron – Simpang Lima Semarang routeexperiencing differences even though they were in the same location. There is a needfor a review from the government regarding the capacity of the bus stops, thecondition of the shelters, the layout of the shelters and the distance of the bus stopsthat are still less than the standard. The lack of facilities owned by some TransSemarang bus stops and the distance from the bus stop users to the destination stopis still quite far, so people prefer to use private vehicles. From several analysisresults, there are several criteria that must be met for the placement of the positionand the distance of the bus stop that will affect the speed of the Trans Semarang busin determining the optimal location for a bus stop, one of the important factors isknowing the location of requests from BRT users where the location of the bus stoprequest is a source of generation. and the attraction of population movement and thelocation of the mode change before or after using the selected one.

Abstract

A contract change order (CCO) is a job change activity in a construction project that is carried out during the work implementation period. This study aims to determine the factors that cause contract change orders, analyze the impact given if there is a contract change order and analyze what strategies must be done to resolve the occurrence of contract change orders in the implementation of the Alton Apartment building construction project located in the city of Semarang. The data collected in this study used a semi-structured interview method with competent sources in their field, while the sources for data collection were construction management consultants (MK), contractors & owners. The Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats (SWOT) analysis method is used to determine the right strategy to deal with CCO activities. The conclusion of the study, CCO was caused by an imperfect design that resulted in the achievement of time and costs not being on target, the strategy was obtained by accelerating work, controlling each work and project cashflow and referring back to the wholesale contract that was mutually agreed upon in the event of a dispute.

Abstract

Technological developments have led to innovations in construction materials science, one of which is formwork materials. There are several important aspects in formwork innovation, namely cost, speed, quality, waste, and health safety environtment (HSE), but they have not fully had a positive impact on construction project development. However, it has not fully had a positive impact on construction projects. In addition, what aluminum formwork manufacturers offer so far may not necessarily suit the needs of customers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparison in terms of cost, time, waste, and HSE between projects using aluminum formwork and the same project simulated using Formwork Perth Construction Hire (PCH). In this study: (1) simulation on the project if the project uses PCH formwork (2) comparative analysis of products in terms of time, cost, quality, waste, HSE on real projects using aluminum formwork with projects that have been simulated using PCH formwork. The effect of using aluminum formwork when compared to a simulation project using PCH formwork: (1) in terms of the time it can provide 25.92% savings on the total duration of the simulation results project, (2) in terms of costs, it can provide a total cost savings of IDR 895,756,004,00 (3) in terms of quality, the use of aluminum formwork is stronger, durable quality, and the results of the concrete molding are tidier than using PCH formwork (4) in terms of waste, projects that use aluminum formwork produce less waste than using PCH formwork. Abstract

The risk assessment of the dam is carried out to estimate the hazard risk of the dam. Risk assessment on dams that have been built and in operation aims to determine the priority of repair and rehabilitation work to improve safety based on the risks that exist in the dam. Research on the risk class assessment of Tapin Dam using the modified ICOLD method includes calculating the risk value on various factors considered, namely the technical physical condition of the dam and related to the implementation of dam safety. The parameters of each factor were obtained from the results of field inspections and technical documents related to the Tapin Dam. Based on the results of the risk assessment, Tapin Dam is classified as a dam with a high risk class. Monitoring the behavior of the dam, regular inspections and post-earthquake conditions, performing routine and periodic maintenance, as well as updating and socializing the RTD are actions that the Tapin dam administrator can take to manage long-term risks that can occur.

Abstract

Green Construction is a continuous movement to create quality construction. The government in responding to the management of the implementation of green construction issues regulations that are expected to become development guidelines. This study aims to identify the application of green construction in the implementation of the construction of The Alton Apartement to achieve the performance that has been determined with a rationalistic positivistic approach. The research methodology uses qualitative methods with in-depth interviews with triangulation to determine its validity. The result is the level of normative application of green construction in the implementation of apartment construction projects, three levels of application are obtained which show the results of the identification of the normative application of green construction. The level of implementation of III was 37% where these aspects have been carried out in a sustainable manner. The level of implementation of II reached 41%, where the implementation has been carried out well. The level of implementation of I is at 22%, which means that the implementation in the field has not been implemented properly.
