Abstract

The research is do to analize the compressive strength and water absorption in the CLC lightweight brick made with a mix of fly ash and the ashes of andesit sawed stones and also to know if waste fly ash and the ashes of andesit sawed stones can be used as mixure of CLC lightweight bricks. The method used in this research that is by making light brick CLC with replacing sand material to the ashes of andesit sawed stones and fly ash substitution of 5%, 7%, 10%, 15%, 17% and 20% of the weight of the whole material. Lightweight brick that has been curing for 7, 14 and 28 days and then tested to obtain the compressive strength and water absorption from lightweight brick. Results of the research showed the largest compressive strength of CLC lightweight brick at the age of 7 days is 6 kg/cm2 on the rate of fly ash 20%. At the age of 14 days, the largest compressive strength value of CLC is 12 kg/cm2 on the rate of fly ash 20%, at the age of 28 days, the largest compressive strength value of CLC is 19.5 kg/cm2 on he rate of fly ash 20%. Water absorption of CLC lightweight brick on average at the age of 14 days is 18.54 gr/dm2/min, average water absorption of CLC lightweight brick at the age of 28 days is 12.44 gr/dm2/min, still enter into terms that reco mended with a maximum of 20 gr/dm2/min.

Abstract

The needs of homes in Indonesia currently reach 6.5 million per year, the situation is of course not easily met by the developers for various reasons, ranging from purchasing power, and expensive building materials that impact on the concept of the house offered, which is simple, healthy and cheap. To achieve these criteria, it is necessary to innovate house planning in order to obtain competitive price, so that mthe price is affordable for lower middle class people. Currently Manufacturers offer the concept of home solutions in question, through the program "Home Manufacturing", the concept needs further study. The purpose of this study is to: a) determine the dimensions of the model house, both the design of "Manufacturing House" and the conventional system, b) create architectural design for both home systems and make the home of the manufacturer home, d) financial analysis of the manufacturer's home system. The virtue of this study is to provide an overview to the public, that the concept of cheap homes ranging from construction costs and maintenance costs to the age of 20 years. The method of this research is starting from the design of the house with the type of area of 15 m2, making the model house / model, the analysis includes the budget cost plan, and financial analysis, with net present value (NPV) parameter, benefit cost ratio (BCR) and internal rate of return (IRR). The results showed that for a period of 10 years obtained Net Present Value (NPV) Rp. (- 33.640.553) <0, the value of BCR = 0, 837, <1, with the value of construction "factory house" is not financially feasible period of 10 years, while for a period of 15 years obtained Net Present Value (NPV) Rp. 32.783.131> 0, the value of BCR = 1.120. > 1, IRR = 23.22%> 11% and 20 years obtained Net Present Value (NPV) Rp 32.759.710> 0, BCR value = 1.079. > 1, IRR = 25.38%> 11%, which means that the construction of "manufacturing house" is financially feasible for a period of 15 years and 20 years, because it can provide an advantage over invested investment. From the results of the research there needs to be further research with a review of two-story househouses that utilize the beams from the "manufacturer house".Kata kunci : Rumah pabrikan, konvensional, sederhana, sehat, ekonomis

Abstract

At this time, plastic is a material that is needed by the public at large and the impactis also extraordinary after the plastic is used in daily life which can cause seriousproblems if the management is not done properly. The problem of plastic waste doesnot only occur in the city of Semarang, but also in other cities, so the Ministry ofEnvironment and Forestry has implemented a pay-for-use plastic bag program inthe short term. But this is only to deal with problems in the short term. In the longterm, it will not solve the problem of "plastic waste", because the policy actuallyencourages people to buy plastic that is of course will add a new burden to thepeople to buy it. The results showed that the compressive strength of a hollowconcrete brick (brick) with a model / type BN d.d. B1,0 there is a decrease in theaverage compressive strength. The highest at the addition of 0.10% withcompressive strength on average reached 35.21 kg / cm², in general the decreaseoccurred in the addition of plastic each different from 0.10% to 1.0% of the weightof sand with the lowest compressive strength of 21 , 16 kg / cm². Regressionequation obtained Y = - 0.119 X² + 0.008 X + 35.53 with a correlation value of R² =0.987, meaning that with the addition of plastic has a very strong influence oncompressive strength. So that it can be obtained an illustration that by addingplastic to the manufacture of hollow concrete brick (brick) can affect thecompressive strength decreases. Despite the decline, the quality of the brick is stillgood and above the lowest quality Level IV with compressive strength above 2.0MPa which may still be made with variations Plastic with a composition greaterthan 1% or comparative composition of Portland Cement (PC) with sand is mademore small (<1 PC: 7 Sand), with the hope that this Plastic waste can be utilizedoptimally.Kata kunci : plastic waste, brick making, waste utilization

Abstract

The response structure due to dynamic load or earthquake in a building is very important to be know.Therefore we tried to do some research with make a model that can show the behavior of structure when receives the dynamic load. In this research the structure is modeled with two-dimensional discrete system with a system of beams and columns of the same strength, it is easier to see the behavior of structure. The system is made by Power Fortran language program Station. The methods used for solve structural vibration dynamical equations is the Runge-Kutta order 4. The results shown in graphical form with the help of MS Excel program. From the graph shows that the pattern of responses produced is same with a given load pattern but have different intensity and deviation. Beside that , the structure will receives displacement, velocity, and acceleration are greater when receiving a load that is not harmonious with the same frequency. This suggests that the structure would be more resistant to a greater load if given regularly, compared with the sudden load.

Abstract

The usage of air conditioner or air conditioner machine is a necessity for daily life. An office building, which has many rooms, needs more air conditioner (AC) as an attempt to fulfill comfort necessity to the rooms usage in the office building. By operating a large number of air conditioner, it requires a preventive maintenance system (preventive maintenance) that can give preventive act which is hoped being capable to keep the function and performance of the air conditioners functioning optimally. AC split preventive maintenance can be distinguished into 2 activities, they are small scale activity by cleaning the filter, the indoor part, the dust, etc, and then large scale preventive activity by doing complete cleaning to both outdoor and indoor components. At the building of PDAM Tirta Moedal Semarang, the preventive maintenance activities have had been undertaken by service provider vendor. All this time, the scheduling was not well-structured, so the activities which are undertaken by vendor are uncontrollable. To solve that problem, it needs analysis about the scheduling of preventive maintenance. Analysis is undertaken by looking for the tendency of treatment by classifying based on the capacity of the AC split. Based on this activity, it obtains the largest percentage treatment at interval 3 months, 1 pk (70.59%), and 2 pk (76.67%). These tendencies are used to arrange the new large scale preventive maintenance schedule, whereas the small scale scheduling is planned using literature study. The comparison of Budget Plan is used to compare between the result of the new scheduling and the earlier scheduling activity.

Abstract

The widening of concrete pavement requires special maintenance, especially in the process of curing and implementation before the concrete is fully hardened. Some of the efforts undertaken include waterlogging on concrete surfaces, wet jute blankets, water spraying and so on. Once concrete pavement roads are operated, special attention should be paid, especially with regard to the vehicle load that will pass through the road. For roads in the township, often not prepared for heavy vehicles, but in reality if the community will build houses or house maintenance then that pass through the road is often a truck filled with sand or stone. By looking at the phenomenon then the road that is only prepared for light vehicles will quickly experience damage. Therefore, in this community service in doing the tutorial how the procedure of widening the concrete road as well as the direct practice of widening the broken concrete road with the dowel connection system of bamboo petung. The enthusiasm of the community was great as it proved by the many who came to follow the tutorial and at the same time carry out the work. In the end people can take a good lesson on the casting process and the damaged roads can be repaired.Kata Kunci : tulangan bambu, perkerasan beton, pelebaran.

Abstract

The Development of residential facilities will affect the increase in needs of building materials.. Cement is one of the building materials whose raw materials come from nature. Availability of natural resources will affect the production of cement. Carbide welding waste is the remainder of the carbide reaction to water which produces acyetilene gas where 60% of the waste contains Calcium Oxide (CaO) which is the main constituent of cement. This study aims to analyze the effect of partial replacement of cement with carbide weld waste on mortar compressive strength. The study was conducted by making a mortar cube with dimensions of 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm with mixed proportions of 1PC: 3PS. Variation of partial replacement of cement with carbide welding waste used as much as 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The results showed that the mortar compressive strength without carbide welding waste was used as the control variable, amounting to 329.33 kg/cm2. Mortar compressive strength with the proportion of partial replacement of cement with carbide welding waste 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% respectively are 286.38 kg/cm2, 243.42 kg/cm2, 200.47 kg/cm2, and 157.51 kg/cm2. based on pengijuan results indicate that the mortar is included in type M at a proportion of a maximum of 15% with a compressive strength of 200.47 kg/cm2 according to the minimum requirements of 175 kg/cm2.

Abstract

Waste of sawn wood powder came from different parts of the sawmill industry, because they were abundant, giving rise to pollution that interferes with the surrounding environment, if there is no need usually discarded / burned so just.For waste of sawn wood powder can be used as a substitute for fine aggregate or sand mixed with a certain ratio of cement to be utilized as building materials as brick cement.Product obtained in the laboratory experimental illustration of the identification of variations in the change ratio of the mixture, powdered cement and sawn timber, with comparisons based on the volume value of the maximum compressive strength of masonry cement mix 1 pc : 2 the sawn wood powder able to achieve 101.2 kg/cm2 > 100 kg/cm2 compressive strength of the solid red brick is allowed (SII-0021-78). Analysis of the ability of the compressive strength of cement bricks for construction of building walls, cement brick with a mixture of 1 pc : 7 parts sawdust powder according to the SII-0021-78, including the type of solid brick class 25 kg/cm2 compressive could reach 25.55. So cement bricks can be used for building construction which carry a maximum load of 25 kg/cm2 with a compressive strength of the lighter weight of the bricks in the market.

Abstract

Traffic accident is an event in which the unexpected and accidental, involve vehicles with or without other road users, resulting in loss of life or loss of property. The increasing number of vehicles as well as variation of the type and size of four or more wheeled vehicles of various dimensions and specifications of the vehicle, different speeds, driver behavior is not the same that would potentially cause symptoms that lead to the occurrence of traffic accidents on the freeway. This study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of vehicles in traffic flow on the highway accident rate in Surabaya-Gempol. Class composition of vehicles passing through the toll road will be analyzed influence on the rate of accidents (accident frequency = AF). This research is a study area toll roads Surabaya - Gempol that toll roads are divided into 2 lanes and 3 lanes. The method used in this study is the method of multiple linear regression analysis. Results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that only 1 of 4 linear regression model that showed that the variable composition of the vehicle has a significant effect on the frequency rate of accidents. While the other three regression models show the opposite result. This menunujukkan that improper linear regression model to predict the relationship between the independent variable composition with the vehicle accident rate on the highway Surabaya-Gempol.
