Abstract

This study aims to determine the development, feasibility, and effectiveness of video media globalization of learning material in the subjects of Civics 4thgrade SDN 01 Purwoyoso Semarang. This research is a development (Research and Devlopment). The development model used is the Waterfall model. The population in this study are students of SDN 01 Purwoyoso totaled 27 students. Data collection techniques are test and non test. The development consists of five stages: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Results of the assessment of the material validator figures show the percentage of 82.14% to the category of "Eligible". As for the assessment of media validator figures show the percentage of 85% to the category of "Very Decent". Based on the results obtained by the Sig t test (two-tailed) of 0.000.Value Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means there are significant differences between the learning outcomes of globalization Civics material before and after using the instructional video media. Thus instructional video media products is feasible and effective for use in the process of learning civics.

Abstract

Research objectives, are: 1). Knowing the comprehension skills of fairy tale after the implementation of the strategy of interactive read aloud, 2) analyzes the changes in the behavior of students after learning of a fairy tale with a strategy of interactive read aloud, 3). Knowing the learning implementation strategy with interactive read aloud in the optimization of the students’ fairy tale comprehension skills.Sampling techniques in the research used random sampling by lot. The number of students who made the sample are 25 students. To obtain data and information relating to a matter which examined various ways is through observation, documentation, field notes and question form. Data analysis techniques used are analysis of Mix Methods qualitative and quantitative techniques.The results of the research are: children know fairy tale skills after the implementation of interactive read aloud strategy, by understanding reading, making predictions, making connections, summarizing, drawing conclusions with successful criteria; 2). Changes in student behavior after learning fairy tale with interactive read aloud strategy with excellent results, 3) .The implementation of learning with interactive read aloud strategy in the optimization of students' fairy tale skills can run very well and maximally.The conclusion of the research is the skill of fairy tale can be formed very well after the implementation of interactive read aloud strategy, the student behavior change can be formed well after the learning of fairy tale with interactive read aloud strategy, and the implementation of learning with interactive read aloud strategy can be done optimally with the teacher improve students' fairy tale skills. A suggestion in the study is that teachers should always introduce a fairy tale to the students to embedded good behavior.Keywords: Skills, understanding, fairy tale, interactive read aloud strategy

Abstract

This research is based on Indonesian language learning that has not been effective yet, so the result of learned is not optimal yet, to overcome this problem, the researcher developed crossword puzzle game. This development research aims to produce crossword puzzle products as well as know the feasibility and effectiveness of the product. This research used Research and Developement method developed by Borg and Gall. The subjects of this study are the students of class V which amounted to 34 students. Data analysis techniques used descriptive percentage and n-gain test. The results showed that the media of crossword puzzles is very feasible to use with the percentage of assessment 89.58%, material expert judgments of 88, 63%. The result of N-gain analysis showed that the value obtained is 0.5226 in the medium category and the response is very good. Based on the result of the research, the crossword puzzle game to summarize the developed explanation text is declared eligible and effective in improving the writing skill of the students' explanatory text.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process o forming the disciplinary character of third grade students of SDNKarangasem 03 through scout extracurricular activities. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collectionuses observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique were carried out byvalidity testing using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation and confirmability testing. Theresults of this study indicate that: (1) Formation of the character of discipline through scout extracurricular activities iscarried out at three stages, namely the initial stage which introduces conditions and activities, the central stage of thestudents begins to carry out activities, and the final stage is marked by students' awarness of disciplinary behavior; (2)There are five forms of scout extracurricular exercises such as the PBB (line rule), rigging, apple ceremonies, applause andsinging, and one-day camps that can build student discipline; (3) The process of constructing the character of disciplinethrough scout extracurricular activities has received acceptance and neglect responses. So that there are still spme childrenwho have not been disciplined.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and viability of flash interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning on single and mixed substances topic of natural sciences subject. The type of this study was Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the Borg & Gall model adapted by Sugiyono with several stages adapted to the needs of the researcher. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results showed that (1) flash interactive multimedia matched with the characteristics of the problem-based learning model; (2) flash interactive multimedia was suitable to be used as a learning media, based on the result of the media expert's validation with a percentage of 83% with the very viable category and the result of the content expert ' s validation with a percentage of 86% with the very viable category. The conclusion of this research was the developed flash interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning was appropriate to be used as a learning media on single and mixed substances topic of natural sciences in the fourth grade at Kalibanteng Kidul 02 Elementary School, Semarang City.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are 1). To describe the activities of lecturers in improving the PGSD Unnes students’ ability to design the learning of geometry based on Van Hiele’s theory. 2). To describe the activities of students in improving the ability to design the learning of geometry based on Van Hiele’s theory 3). To know the students’ learning outcomes in developing learning activity of elementary geometry by implementing Van Hiele’s theory on PGSD students UNNES. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study are lecturers of geometry and students who take geometry course. The technique in collecting data is using test and non-test techniques. The data analysis is done in quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result shows that all students can achieve mastery learning. It is suggested that a set of task bills so that prerequisites have been owned by the students. Structured tasks should be given to see the students’ ability.

Abstract

Character education should take place through habituation and all the time in everyday life. This study aims was to determine (1) Implementation of character education (2) Barriers to Reading Asmaul Husna's Habits (3) Supporting reading habits Asmaul Husna (4) Influence of Asmaul Husna on student character. The research was conducted in SDN Purwoyoso 01 Ngaliyan with research subject of fourth-grade students, religious teachers and class teachers on Implementation of Student Discipline Character Education through Reading Asmaul Husna Habituation. The approach used was a qualitative single-case study type. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was done by using content analysis technique. The result of this research shows that: (1) the discipline of students is good, (2) the implementation of character education through reading habits of Asmaul Husna is good (3) the influence of reading habits of Asmaul Husna has an effect on the character of the students of class IV.

Abstract

This study was being underlied by Mathematics learning outcomes of the second grade of SDN Gugus Gajah Mada  which is low. This study was intended to know the effectiveness of STAD model based from van hiele theory  towards  mathematics  subject  learning  achievement  of  the  2nd  grade  students  of  Elementary  Schools (SD) Cluster Gajah Mada Wonogiri. To achieve this objective, this research used quasi experimental research with the type of nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were the 2nd grade students of SD Cluster Gajah Mada Wonogiri. They were sampled by using cluster random sampling. As the data were collected, they were analyzed by using one tailed proportion test, namely z test, t test, gain test and N -gain. The t test shows the comparison of count = 2.98>ttable = 1,68 which meant that Ho is reject, while Ha is accept. The results showed that the mathematics learning achievement of the 2nd grade students of SD Cluster Gajah Mda Wonogiri who achieved the treatment of STAD model based from van hiele theory achieved the passing grade (KKM) score, and STAD model based from van hiele theory than TPS.

Abstract

Based on pre-research in class IV SDN Tambangan 01 found a lack of innovation. So it was been an impact on the low learning outcomes. Submission of material by the teacher still seems dominant. So a researcher wants to develop a media booklet. This study aims to develop a media booklet, studies the feasibility and effectiveness of the media booklet on the material express personal poetry in class IV SDN Tambangan 01 Semarang City. The method wich had been used in this research was a Sugiyono Research and Development (R&D) which consists of (1) potential and problem stages, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) product trials, (7) product revisions, (8) trials usage. The subjects of this stdy were several students in class IV SDN Tambangan 01 Semarang. Data collecting techniques were using observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. Data analyzing techniques were using product feasibility, initial and final data analysis (t test and N-Gain test). The result of the booklet feasibility test that from media experts obtained the percentage of 93.45% and the assessment of material experts obtained the percentage 91.6%. The booklet media effectiveness used in accordance with the result of the t test showed t arithmetic> t table (11,367> 1,697), then Ho was rejected and the pretest and posttest gain a result which was 0,552 with a criteria that support the effectiveness booklet media . The result of the questionnaire responses of teachers and students showed a very positive answer that make booklet media was more effective in its users.

Abstract

This research aims to study the correlation between library facilities, library service and Grade IV Elementary School students reading interest. This study uses correlative type of research. The sample is taken from students grade IV in elementary school, Gugus Cakra, Ngaliyan sub-district, Semarang City with Simple Random Sampling technique. The data is collected using polls, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data is analyzed using some techniques including prerequisite tests for analysis and final data analysis. The result shows that the correlation between library facilities and reading interest acquired Rvalue 0.628. The correlation between service libraries and reading interest acquired Rvalue 0.625. Relation of library facilities and service libraries with the interest of reading students obtained a value of 0.716.
