Abstract

Indigenization (pribumisasi) of Islam in Java can not be compared to syncretism because it only involves local culture in defining Islamic laws without changing its substances to meet local culture. Indigenization as Wahid means is how Islamic doctrines are interpreted so that local culture is valid in terms of Islamic jurisprudences. On the other hand, syncretism is mixing two or more religious beliefs and as a result it makes another and new form of belief as exemplified in ritual practice of a thousand deity temple in India.

Abstract

Some the term in literature english used to mention jews were; hebrew / hebron ( hebrew ), israelites ( orang-orang israel ), children of ismael ( anak-anak ismael ), judeans ( orang-orang judah ) and jews ( orang-orang jewish). Jews can in terms of two sides : ethnic and religion. On one side were as an ethnic has played a variety of historical circumstances important in the dynamics of his life to be a record world history. A jewish religious sociological including having religious unsur-unsur the religious beliefs, religious experience, religious rituals and religious communities.

Abstract

This study departs from human life lived long enough in a community, where the community will create a rule or a handle on life that can be used as a way of survival for the creation of a safe, serene and peaceful. The rule could be religious and also can be a culture. Indigenous peoples with all its potential able to be creative to build an environment that is completely self-contained and is also able to preserve the nature of the damage. As a result of the natural environment inhabited by indigenous communities today rescued from various natural disasters. This phenomenon, would be an interesting study material for study. The Society has a certain cultural values that differ from one another. The indigenous peoples are a society that is in life comes with a quirk inherited his ancestors, either in the form of a view of life, religious traditions and values of other cultures that sought to be maintained and implemented in his life as a commandment of life for the benefit of their ancestors  The Cikondang society known as the Sunda ethnic and categorized as indigenous communities, because until now still cling to the traditions of his ancestors. It stands out that of the indigenous peoples Cikondang Cikondang is the persistence of indigenous peoples to preserve and utilize the environment to life. This can be seen, when the rainy season Cikondang region is not exposed to landslides, even a water source can be fully utilized for agriculture, so that agricultural produce in abundance. Likewise third dry season Cikondang indigenous peoples do not worry about lack of water even position in the hills of the mountains.

Abstract

This article discusses how the relationship between Indonesia and the Islamic community in Indonesia is represented by Islamic affiliated organizations in early independence until the reformation period in 1998. See the growing phenomenon of many religious organizations that emerge from fundamental, radical, secular to syncretism. Upheavals between the government and religious organizations to bring the phenomenon of Islamic archipelago. one theme that is being initiated between the government and the people of Islam Indonesia, which is expected to become an Islamic model that represents the nation of Indonesia in the eyes of the world.

Abstract

Interaction is a reciprocal relationship between the subject of the actor and who responds. This study aims to determine the background of the form of interaction as the actualization of religious teachings between adherents of Islam and Christian  Adventist. And to know its relevance to the understanding of the doctrine of religion that developed in the community. This research uses qualitative descriptive comparative method, while to obtain files, done using obeservation technique, interview and questionnaire. Based on the data obtained in this study, the background of the occurrence of a pattern of less harmonious interaction or simply said to be very minimal interaction on some Muslim society is due to the concerns of Christianization. The reason for avoiding various forms of interaction with non-Muslims conducted the community. In the larger group of adherents of Islam, engaging in social relations with Adventists does not become a problem for those relationships within the social sphere is a form of action that practices the teachings of scripture. Likewise in Christian Advent, for them to do social interaction that leads to unity and within the social sphere is an action in believing the Bible in everyday life. From that there are some activities that are built as structural villagers such as gotong royong, patrolling, work meetings, and social activities. Social activity is one activity that dominates the number of an interaction occurs between adherents of Islam and Christian Advent. Frequent social activities are free health services organized by Adventist Christians and used by Muslims.

Abstract

The environmental damage is the reflection of the disruption of the lungs of the earth (forest) result of the attitude of the human antroposentrik the exploit is excessive. To balance the natural environment so it will not be damaged is the regained human behavior or ethics that will save the environment. This ethic has been long applied in Kampung Naga which they have  the alternative view of life  regarding the human relation with the environment that considered sacred. The purpose of this research is to know about the environmental ethics in Kampung Naga in protecting their environment. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with anthropological and phenomenological approaches. The result of this research is every people in Kampung Naga has the environmental ethic that is quite intent by referring to values which formulated systematically based on inheritance ancestors, tangible inheritance and intangible inheritance. This has an impact of disaster mitigation (the efforts to reduce the risk) in Kampung Naga such as preventing landslides and floods, the maintenance of the integrity of the environment, the maintenance of the forest as the lungs of life,  and every ecological creatures in that region also obeyed the ethic which presented by ekosentrisme and deep ecology. So, the environmental ethic in Kampung Naga shows about the balance of the ecological relation

Abstract

The Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul in Sirnaresmi Village is a traditional society that still holds the legacy of their ancestors. Along with the development of incoming science and technology, gradually this traditional Kasepuhan society experienced a cultural change. Cultural changes that occur as a result of the challenge and response of Kasepuhan adat community to new things so that there has been acculturation of culture.The purpose of this study is to find out how the general description of Desa Sirnaresmi and to know the cultural changes Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul people in the Village Sirnaresmi District Cisolok Sukabumi.The method used in this research is historical method. Historical research model is a method that studies events and events in the past based on abandoned sources. This research method is done through four stages, namely heuristic, critic, interpretation, and historiografi.The results of the research in the field can be concluded that there has been a cultural change in Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul in Sirnaresmi Village, Cisolok Subdistrict of Sukabumi Regency, this is indicated by changing aspects of language, technology, livelihood, religious system, community system, knowledge and art system. Changes in the culture of Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul in Sirnaresmi Village occurred significantly in the early 2000s, when it was repaired by road facilities connecting with the Kecamatan center and after the entry of electricity in the area. The existence of more adequate facilities, making the Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul more intensely interacting with the outsiders and the indigenous people of Kasepuhan have been able to follow the development of the outside community. The Kasepuhan Adat Banten Kidul, which is a traditional society that still preserves its ancestral tradition, initially did not respond positively to the new things but gradually they began to follow. This is further supported when the entry of the telecommunications network, so that interaction with the outside community is increasingly massive and make the indigenous people of Kasepuhan has started to leave the tradition of her ancestral heritage because it replaced by incoming outer culture. Acculturation between indigenous cultures and outside cultures that enter, create the birth of a new culture. Subastansial things begin to be abandoned and replaced by a new culture that comes from outside and is considered more modern.

Abstract

SD Ignatius Slamet Riyadi is a school under the auspices of the Foundation of the Holy Cross. Students in the school consist of Catholic, Christian, Buddhist and Islamic students. There are more Catholic students than Muslim students. Muslim students and non-Muslim students interact in the school environment. The purpose of this study to answer the problems are (1) How the religious life of Muslim students SD Slamet Riyadi? (2) How is the religious social behavior of different religious students in SD Slamaet Riyadi? (3) How is the friendship between Muslim student and SD Katama Slamaet Riyadi?The location of this research is SD Ignatius Slamet Riyadi Kebon Kangkung Bandung. Research subjects are Muslim students, while research sources consist of classroom teachers, principals and parents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification.The results showed that the form of interaction between Muslim students and Catholic students through discussions, extracurricular activities, breaks in the school cafeteria and competition in academic terms. Social behavior of Muslim students feel comfortable in interacting with classmates and friends in one school. The behavior of Muslim students who are polite and courteous enough to maintain good relationships. The religious life of Muslim students is strongly influenced by culture and learning in Catholic schools. One of the patterns of worship is to pray very much to imitate the catholic worship of praying with the use of hand symbols dikepal and Indonesian language.The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is: the form of interaction between students in SD Slamet Riyadi divided form on the interaction of friendship school, in class and at home with parents. Factors that affect the occurrence of interaction between Muslim students with Catholic students SD Slamet Riyadi is the education of tolerance and school culture are disciplined and comfortable to follow activities together. Education Tolerance is implemented through teacher dialogue both when learning activities. The existence of different religious students is acceptable in the majority Catholic environment, so Muslim students are well received. SD Slamet Riyadi too, has educated students from various religions, learning patterns and curriculum set making these students feel comfortable studying in Catholic schools.

Abstract

The mission of Islamic teachings is to liberate human being from various forms of arrogance, arbitrariness and injustice whether committed by Muslims or non-Muslims, because Allah is God the Most Just who has infinite justice to His creatures throughout the universe. The diversity of religion, culture and civilization within the necessity of sunnatullah that must be maintained with the best possible, however there is no imbalance, misunderstanding and hostility among human being, whether in coreligionist or for another. In this case, I want to reveal the arguments of the Qur'an and Hadits and some of historical facts about the tolerance that tells begun when Islam came, which brought by Muhammad while his message was forwarded by the companions and the next generation. I will say that all of them must not be separated from the core of Islamic tolerance.This research belongs to a library research with a descriptive model that describes the beauty of tolerance and peace of Islamic teachings from time to time. Whereas in the hypothesis I found that tolerance is very important and should not be abandoned, especially concerning religious freedom, as it would be possible to abandon it then the damage in the plural society is inevitable, as some regions or countries that impose their will to embrace a particular religion, then they will certainly be destroyed by itself vis a vis to conserves tolerance it will experience its heyday, as it once was in Spain when Islam was in the peak of glory, then the Christian government suffered a period of decline for forcing their non-Christian citizens into Christianity and today, they are trying to catch up with trying to re-enforce tolerance.
