Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of practical method using optical KIT on learning outcomes of students on the subject of light in eighth grade SMPN 1 Prabumulih. This study uses a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. Variabel this study is practical method using optical KIT and learning outcomes. The study population was all students of SMPN 1 Prabumulih school year 2012/2013, with a sample of class VIII F and VIII E totaling 69 students. Based on the results showeed information that the influence of practical method using optical KIT on learning outcomes of students on the subject of light in eighth grade SMPN 1 Prabumulih included in the criteria medium with the normalized gain score is 0.54. Based on the results of the t test from the value of student learning outcomes obtained tcalculate>ttable (2.196 > 1.996), thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This suggests that there are significant practical method using optical KIT on learning outcomes of students on the subject of light in eighth grade SMPN 1 Prabumulih.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengukuran terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru fisika dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan gerak, hukum Newton, usaha dan energi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat konsistensi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan fisika. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan soal pilihan ganda yang valid dan reliabel terhadap 401 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Fiska Dasar I. Soal terdiri dari enam pernyataan, dengan masing-masing pernyataan dibuat empat representasi yang berbeda, sehingga total terdapat 24 soal pilihan ganda. Mahasiswa diminta untuk memilih option dari jawaban yang tersedia. Konsistensi representasi didasarkan pada kesamaan jawaban pada soal dengan representasi berbeda, sedangkan konsistensi ilmiah didasarkan pada kesamaan jawaban yang benar pada soal representasi berbeda. Hasil diperoleh untuk konsistensi representasi adalah 30% mahasiswa berada pada level konsisten, 45,5 % pada level cukup konsisten, dan terendah pada level kurang konsisten adalah 24,5%. Sedangkan pada konsistensi ilmiah terdapat 18,7% pada level konsisten, 23,4% pada level cukup konsisten, 24,5% pada level kurang konsisten, dan 21,9% pada level tidak konsisten.

Abstract

This research aims to produce environment-based learning media for physic practicum which is valid, practical, and effective, in order to improve student learning outcomes on the Senior High School 1 Muara Sugihan in Banyuasin Regency. This research is research and developments, with the respondents of this research are students from the Class of X.2 on that school. The environment-based learning media for physic practicum consists of teaching material, Practicum Worksheet for Student, and visual teaching aid was developed with Rowntree Model, with to the evaluate steps used Tessmer formative evaluate. Prototype 1, design which are categorized as very valid is expert review and one-to-one evaluation, with the result expert review to teaching material (4.75), practicum worksheet for student (4.86), and visual teaching (4.51), meanwhile the result one-to-one evaluation (4.80). Prototype 2 is practical and the potentially effective design to the result student learning outcomes when during learning activity, this is show the result small group with the average activity learning student (76.25%), activity practicum (psycho-motor) student (66.35%), the all with categorized as good, meanwhile the average participant’s reactions and participant’s learning (4.20) which is very good category, to the result student learning outcomes reach the average value (84.53) which is in high category. Next the two prototypes are revise design which are effective of the result field test of the respondents, the average activity learning student (74.476%), activity practicum (psycho-motor) student (79.12%), the all with categorized as good, meanwhile the average participant’s reactions and participant’s learning (4.075) which is very good category, to the result student learning outcomes reach the average value (76.65) which is in high category, where in details 7 students or 20 % is very high, 12 students or 34.29 % is categorized as high, 10 students or 28.57 % is moderate, and 6 students or 17.74 % is low, while no student or 0 % is in very low category. To the result of questionnaire, responds students are very good, with the average responds on learning media shows value of (83.60%), and the average responds on learning process for physic practicum has value of (89.71%). Thus it can be conclude that the environment-based learning media for physic practicum consisting of teaching material, Practicum Worksheet for Student, and visual teaching aid developed by researcher is valid, practical and effective during learning activity on the subject of optical instruments.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian di SMA  Ogan Komering Ulu Timur  melalui lesson study (LS)peningkatan professional seorang guru fisikaantara lain dengancarapenggunaan media danalatlaboratoriumdanpenggunaanlembarkerjasiswa (LKS).  LS merupakan pembinaan pembelajaran secara kolaborasi antara guru fisikadandosendan berkelanjutan saling menguntung, dengan tahap-tahapan setiap siklus adalah plan, do, dan see. Siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran sangat antusias, karena  gurudalammelaksanakanpembelajaran menggunakan metode demonstrasi penggunakan alat ukur listrikdanberpusatpadasiswa. Selain itu juga siswa sangat bersemangat mengisi LKS dan bertanya bahkan menanggapi pertanyaan saat diskusi kelas. Disarankan dalam pembelajaran hendaknya persiapan pembelajaran  harus pereioritas utama sehingga tujuan yang diinginkan tercapai.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of learning model Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction (ARIAS) on student learning outcomes in static fluid material. The method used in this study is the method of quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this entire class XI Science SMAN 1 Indralaya and this sample is a class XI Science 1 as an experimental class and class XI Science 2 as the control class in the second semester of school year 2013-2014. Data collection techniques used were tests and observation. The test is used to see the results of student learning and observation sheet to see the feasibility ARIAS learning models and the activities of students. The results of this study the data obtained experimentally class N-gain of 0.68 (medium category) and N-gain control class 0.27 (low category). Data resulting from adherence to the model ARIAS observation sheet shows the percentage of 85% in the first meeting and continued to increase to 100% until the last meeting. Activities of students at the first meeting by 33% and showed an increase up to the last meeting reached an average percentage of 95%. Statistical test results showed that there is a significant influence on the learning model ARIAS student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the increased activity of the experimental class students learn through application of learning models ARIAS exert significant influence on learning outcomes of students in the experimental class than the control class.

Abstract

This study aims  to determine the learning trajectory on the temperature and head material Research method was chosen is design research. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja by involving 6 student in the pilot experiment phase and 35 student in teaching experiment phase. This example from learning trajectory on activity 1, the first conflict question "whether the temperature and heat the same?" On this question, there is one track student learning, all groups of students were able to define the concept of temperature and heat properly. Then for the second conflict question The highest temperature of the container when dipped in the heated mass of different objects, there are two conflicting learning trajectory, the trajectory first consider if a container-mass objects are experiencing a higher temperature rise, whereas the second study considers the trajectory if a container body of mass great is that higher temperatures increase due to the larger mass objects can absorb more heat so that the heat given off is also much more so the higher the temperature of the container, this trajectory as expected researchers, to prove the answers students watch a video experiment conducted activity "samakah aku "and group discussions. After watching the video and discussion, then there is only one path to learn a second conflict on the question asked of teachers, all groups are expected to answer correctly according to researchers.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe science process skills on material physics learning vibration and wave. This study used one of the descriptive designs. The sample of the study was the eighth grade students of VIII1 class of SMPN 18 Palembang. The data were obtained through observation. Based on the result of the observation that, the process of science skill used the discovery learning model that was good, especially on the problem of study, the hypothesis of  the study, the design of the study, experiment, the collecting of data, the analysis of data, conclutions, and interview. The hypotheses of the study obtained the highest score, while the analysis the data of try out were the lowest score. On the other words, the students could more identify the problem that they found through the experiment than analyze the data base on the experiment that they had done.

Abstract

It has been successfully develope dan assessment rubric scientific skills  and attitudes. This study aim stop produce the  skills and attitude assessment rubric scientifically valid and practical. The research method use dis a research method development (development research) by applying 4D model sthat include phase define, design, develop, desseminate. Rubric assessment skills and scientific attitudes declared in valid based on the expert valid ation stage expert review with a percentage of 3.58%  for skills assessment rubrics and assessment rubrics 3.74% for the scientific and practical attitude on stage one-to-one with a percentage of 80.91% and 83.79% and a small group with a percentage of 84.73% and 84.75% were tested in senior high school  two state palembang. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded rubric assessment skills and scientific attitudes are ready for use.

Abstract

Telah berhasil dikembangkan instrumen penilaian psikomotorik yang valid dan praktis pada materi suhu dan kalor di SMP kelas VII. Penilaian psikomotorik merupakan penilaian yang dilakukan guru untuk mengukur tingkat pencapaian kompetensi keterampilan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian psikomotorik yang valid dan praktis pada pokok bahasan suhu dan kalor di SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan Rowntree. Tahapan dalam pengembangan instrumen penilaian psikomotorik ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu  tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi dan lembar angket kepraktisan instrumen penilaian psikomotorik. Nilai validasi dari validator sebesar 84,37% dan nilai kepraktisan dari observer sebesar 82,28%. Berdasarkan perolehan nilai tersebut, instrumen penilaian psikomotorik termasuk ke dalam kategori valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Percobaan ini bertujuan menentukan koefisien konveksi pada pendinginan air menggunakan Coachlab II+dan melihat pengaruhnya terhadap kapasitas kalor.Wadah yang dipakai dalam percobaan terdiri dari gelas kaca, gelas plastik, mangkuk styrofoam, dan cangkir stainless. Koefisien konveksi yang didapatadalah gelas kaca sebesar 39,98 , gelas plastik sebesar 40,29 , mangkuk styrofoam sebesar 34,63 , dan cangkir stainless sebesar 49,45 . Sedangkan nilai koefisien konveksi dari pengukuran berulang menggunakan wadah yang sama dengan suhu awal yang berbeda-beda, yaitu 750C, 64,9 0C, dan 550C secara berturut-turut adalah , dan . Semakin mendekati suhu lingkungan, koefisien konveksinya semakin kecil. Koefisien konveksi yang didapatkan mengikuti sebuah fungsi peluruhan eksponensial.
