Abstract

Discipline is an important aspect that every student should have, to achieve the learning objectives. Discipline, however, is often found as a problem in the classroom. This problem was found in grade VIII SMP Lentera Harapan Lampung Tengah students in Integrated IPS subjects. To solve the problem, in this research applied reward and punish to improve student discipline of class VIII. The reward form applied is in the form of praise, tape reward, and sign strengthening (certificate), while the punish form is the cutting of time and cost to be paid, with modifications called 'red box'. The methodology used in this research is Classroom Action Research method. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII with a total of 14 people, consisting of 11 men and 3 women. The results of the study on student discipline levels obtained from this study is the first cycle 69.8%, 83.4% and third cycle 93.8%. It can be concluded that the application of reward and punish can improve the discipline in Integrated Social Science subjects in the seventh grade students of SMP Lentera Harapan Lampung Tengah.DOI: 10.17977/um022v3i12018p053

Abstract

Educators are an important part of education, because educators are responsible for guiding and shaping their students. Parents act as educators in the family so that their daily attitudes and actions provide stimulus to the behavior of children. Parental errors in educating children can lead to children in their development are not able to independently and difficult to adapt to the environment. The process of economic education in the family environment, usually not programmed and scheduled so that the ongoing can happen at any time and may be incidental. In the process, exemplary and everyday attitudes of parents and the intensity of communication of children and parents in family life becomes an important point for economic education in the family. In addition, in everyday economic life is inseparable from the problem of money, the economic education in the family focused on the understanding of the value of money and order of attitudes and behavior of children to regulate the use of money in accordance with rational economic principles. Understanding of productive and economic activities in parents is important in the development of attitudes that can encourage the achievement of the effectiveness and efficiency of these activities conducted through economic education in the family environment. Abstract

In the Village Kunjorowesi, District Ngoro, Mojokerto there are many do underage marriage, from the initial data that researchers get before this study conducted by informan, and He said in terms of education alone, many children graduated from elementary school especially female do not continue to junior high school because She helping Her parents and married by parents, from the data alone can be seen that the very low awareness of the community both from the understanding of the importance of education and the harmful effects of marriage underage, Researchers also found a child who was aged around 17 years but has two times divorcee and have children from both marriages. Abstract

Globalization is indeed very strongly felt in every aspects of life of society, nation and state. The joints are ediologi, political, economic, social, cultural, defense and security. The fade of nationalism and solidarity is one of the diseases that are suffered by children of this country. This factor is also the background for the emergence of awareness of the importance of education implementation multikurtural in building character/good manners. Characters based on a multicultural nation in accordance with the motto "Bhineka Tunggal Ika/Unity in Diversity" should be the foundation in the development of the character / character the future of the nation of Indonesia. The purpose of this research are: (1) knowing how to approach memalui implementation of multicultural education and cultural values of Pancasila to build student character in meghadapi globalization in STKIP PGRI Sumenep; (2) determine the factors supporting and implementing multicultural education memalui approach and the cultural values of Pancasila in STKIP PGRI Sumenep. This research is a case study with research subjects covering STKIP PGRI Sumenep, chairman, faculty, and students. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The results of this study are: (1) to implement multicultural education through the approach of cultural values and Pancasila run very and able to build student character STKIP PGRI Sumenep (2) factors pendukunggnya is good cooperation between all the components in STKIP PGRI Sumenep, starting from the chairman, lecturers, students and parents of students. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe contextual-based thematic learning plan that is implemented in Muhammadiyah Primary School 9 Malang, (2) to describe contextual contextual teaching-learning in elementary school Muhammadiyah 9 Malang; (3) to describe contextual based thematic learning evaluation in Muhammadiyah Primary School 9 Malang. Methods This study is a qualitative descriptive study that describes phenomena in the field without treatment. The object of this research is the students of grade V SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. Sources of data obtained from teachers and students of class V. In addition, learning tools used when the implementation of learning. Main techniques of data collection through observation, documentation and interviews as research support techniques. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display and conclusion / verification. The results showed that contextual thematic learning planning at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang was good enough and run as it should be. Implementation of contextually thematic learning at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang still not in accordance with the planning. The practice of contextual approach to thematic learning is still less than optimal. This is because teachers are less well understood with the application of contextual based thematic approach. Finally, the implementation of thematic learning evaluation that is used is in accordance with the assessment standards used. Abstract

Purpose of this research is to produce guidelines for the use of natural labs Faculty of Social Sciences to be used by junior high school students as supplement in learning IPS Class VII semester 1. The research method used in this research is research & development with 4- D (four D models). The model consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Book eligibility is validated by material experts and instructional media. Experimental material validation score of 87.96% and expert media learning validation score of 91.66%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the knowledge and attitude of flood disaster preparedness of Elementary School Pilanggede, District Balen, Bojonegoro. Knowledge is a key factor to preparedness. Knowledge can affect the attitude and awareness to standby in anticipating the disaster. Children from an early age should be given a proper understanding of the types of disasters that may be affecting their area and ways of dealing with disasters when it comes suddenly. The vulnerability of children to disasters is triggered by a limited understanding of the risks surrounding them, resulting in a lack of preparedness in the face of disasters. Elementary School Pilanggede District Balen, Bojonegoro is one that has flood every year. Not only the school buildings are flooded, but most of the students live as well. This research uses quantitative approach with survey method. The survey was conducted to find out the description of the condition of knowledge and attitude of student preparedness to the flood disaster that occurred in the environment. Furthermore, a descriptive analysis was conducted. The data needed in this research is primary data obtained from observation and spreading of questionnaire conducted at grade 3 to 6 Elementary School Pilanggede. The research findings indicate that students' knowledge of the flood disaster is still poorly proved by an understanding of the causes and occurrence of low floods. The student's attitude in reducing flood risk is also quite low as evidenced by playing during floods and the use of electronic during floods and the provision of equipment is minimal. Abstract

This paper aims to disseminate the results of the study and get feedback about the "Social construction on Multiculturalism". Five years ago Ahimsa Putra states that the face of Indonesia as pluralism without multiculturalism. Until now the problem of multiculturalism has become something that must be kept alive in an attempt to minimize the incidence of national disintegration. Winter tried to rethink multiculturalism by taking a lesson from Canada, that Canada has experienced setbacks in implementing the work program of multiculturalism. While Pakulski looks at the implementation of multiculturalism policy program in Australia as a blur. Scuzzarello, with optimism, invites to care about multiculturalism and share power on different communities. Gozdecka (et al), in recent years after the multicultural declared, stated that it is a failure both in Europe and in Anglophone West. This study was conducted in Blitar, using a qualitative approach to data collection methods and also interviews with ten informants. As a result, the construction of the community regarding multiculturalism: they consider themselves as the brother. In addition they also describe that: (a) assert one's cultural identity, study and assess the cultural heritage of a person; (b) respect and desire to understand and to learn about (and from) cultures besides their culture; (c) assessing and were delighted with the difference in the culture itself, which saw that the presence of groups from different cultures in the community as a positive thing to be respected and maintained. The harmony was found both in everyday lives, especially in the Religious and National holidays, for example, Eid Al-Fitr, Vesak, Christmas, and others religious holiday. Abstract

Industrialization is a process of socio-economic change that transforms the livelihoods of agrarian societies into industrial societies. Shrimp farming industry Andulang village 20 years ago has been a pond, for permit development of shrimp farming industrialisasi in Andulang village already have permission from Integrated Licensing Service Agency. Among the benefits with the industrialization of shrimp ponds in Andulang Village is creating jobs for economic needs. Nevertheless, there is a social problem that is felt by the community around the industry, namely environmental pollution. First, land contamination of productive agricultural land becomes unproductive. Second, water pollution that is against the sea to itch and smell. Abstract

Hydrosphere material related to the hydrological cycle, forms the body of water, and marine zones according to depth as a material object IPS too elusive if only rely on the transfer of knowledge from the teacher to the learner; better if the students can see what is observed, which is then written and finally presented based learning experiences. Thus we need a media as an intermediary to help the learning process. To that end, the appropriate learning media is to use the “Jendela Hidrosfer”.
