Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakter responden terhadap produk bakso ayam (warna, aroma, tekstur, citarasa dan penerimaan secara keseluruhan) yang diberi perlakuan lama perendaman dalam asap cair. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yang meliputi P15 (lama perendaman 15 menit), P20 (lama perendaman 20 menit), P25 (lama perendaman 25 menit) dan P30 (lama perendaman 30 menit). Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu warna, aroma, tekstur, citarasa dan penerimaan keseluruhan. Pengujian kualitas organoleptik pada lama perendaman yang berbeda dengan konsentrasi asap cair 3% memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bakso ayam ditinjau dari segi aroma, citarasa dan penerimaan secara keseluruhan serta tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap warna dan tekstur. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa lama perendaman selama 25-30 menit bakso ayam dalam asap cair (konsentrasi 3%) disukai oleh panelis dengan skor nilai yaitu 3,77 (mengarah ke kriteria suka).

Abstract

A study aimed to determine performance of kampong chicken age 2 – 8 weeks given ration containing dragon skin fruit meal fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae with level 5%, 7%, and 9%. The Study was conducted at research station Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University Jimbaran, Badung, Bali for 2 month. The study used Randomized complete design (RCD) with 4 treatmens and 5 replicated. Those treatments as follows RKBN0 : Rations without fermented of skin dragon fruits and whereas RKBN1, RKBN2, and RKBN3 contained 5%, 7% and 9% fermented of skin dragon fruit respectively. Variables observed were final weight, weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio/FCR. Result showed that fed ration containing dragon skin fruit meal fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae with level 7% (RKBN2) and 9% (RKBN3) decrease (P<0,05) feed consumtion ration were 4,41% and 7,45% respectively, but no effect for final body weight, weight gain, and FCR of kampong chicken age 2 – 8 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh imbangan energi dan protein ransum terhadap pertumbuhan babi bali jantan lepas sapih. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jalan Taman Wedasari, Banjar Batuparas, Desa Padangsambian Kaja, Denpasar Barat, Denpasar di kandang babi milik I Made Gede Wijaya, SPt., MP selama 3 bulan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, dimana tiap unit percobaan menggunakan 1 ekor babi bali jantan lepas sapih. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah: ransum dengan imbangan Energi Metabolis (EM) (kkal/kg)/Protein Kasar (PK) (%) yaitu 2800/16 = 175 (ransum A); 2950/18 = 164 (ransum B); 3100/20 = 155 (ransum C); dan 3250/22 = 148 (ransum D). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat badan awal, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum total dan FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum dengan imbangan energi/protein yang berbeda yaitu dari 148 s/d 175 tidak menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang berbeda nyata (P>0.05) baik pada berat badan awal, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum total dan FCR

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of storage for 14 days at room temperature on the external and internal quality of duck eggs in Jimbaran. The study was conducted in Jimbaran area and analysis of egg’s sample was carried out at the Poultry Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Departement, Udayana University for three weeks. The research design was using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments eggs without storage as a control (P1), 7 days of egg storage (P2), and 14 days (P3), each treatment using 6 replications. Variables observed based on external quality included egg weight and egg shape index, and internal quality included egg yolk, Haugh unit (HU), and egg pH. The results showed that egg HU at 14 days storage had an average of 7,88% significantly lower (P<0,05) than control and egg HU at 14 days storage had an average of 6,02% significantly lower (P<0,05) compared to 7 days storage. Egg HU control and 7 days storage statistics showed no significant difference (P>0,05). According to egg weight, egg shape index, egg yolk color, and egg pH for 7 days and 14 days storage treatment gave results that were not significantly different (P>0,05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the storage of duck eggs for 7 days and 14 days at room temperature 280C in Jimbaran region do not reduce egg weight, egg shape index, yolk color and egg pH, but storage of duck eggs for 14 days decreases the value of Haugh unit (HU). Duck eggs are still suitable for consumption for 14 days of storage with A egg grade. Keywords: duck eggs, storage time, egg quality

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pertumbuhan dan produksi rumput Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume yang ditanam dengan kombinasi jumlah legum Alysicarpus vaginalis dan dosis pupuk P berbeda. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Stasiun Penelitian Laboratorium Rumah Kaca Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL), satu faktor dengan 9 kombinasi perlakuan yaitu kombinasi jumlah legum Alysicarpus vaginalis terdiri dari 1, 2, 3 Alysicarpus vaginalis/pot dan dosis pupuk P yaitu: tanpa pupuk; Pupuk P 50 kg/ha; dan Pupuk P 100 kg/ha. Variabel yang diamati meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, jumlah cabang, berat kering daun, berat kering batang, berat kering akar, berat kering total hijauan, nisbah berat kering daun dengan berat kering batang, nisbah berat kering total hijauan dengan berat kering akar, dan luas daun per pot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kombinasi 1 legum Alysicarpus vaginalis dengan dosis 100 kg/ha pupuk P adanya pengaruh pertumbuhan pada rumput Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume pada variabel: jumlah anakan, berat kering daun, berat kering total hijauan, dan nisbah berat kering daun dengan berat kering batang. Besarnya pengaruh kombinasi legum dan pupuk P terdapat pada nisbah berat kering daun dengan berat kering batang. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pertanaman campuran dengan kombinasi jumlah legume dan dosis pupuk P dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produksi rumput Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume. Disimpulkan bahwa hasil terbaik didapatkan pada kombinasi jumlah 1 legum dengan dosis Pupuk P sebesar 100 kg/ha. Kata kunci: pertumbuhan dan produksi, Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume, pupuk P

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kualitas telur lima jenis ayam kampung yang memiliki warna bulu berbeda umur 24 minggu telah dilaksanakan di Stasiun Penelitian Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Sesetan, Denpasar. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima jenis perlakuan yaitu perlakuan A (biying), perlakuan B (selem), perlakuan C (putih siungan), perlakuan D (putih kedas) dan perlakuan E (brumbun). Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari tiga ulangan, setiap ulangan menggunakan 1 ekor ayam. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat jenis, berat telur, tebal kulit telur, berat kulit telur, berat selaput telur, berat putih telur, berat kuning telur, indeks telur, indeks putih telur, indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan warna kuning telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas telur pada variabel yang diamati secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas telur bagian luar (berat jenis, berat telur, indeks telur) dan kualitas telur bagian dalam (tebal kulit telur, berat kulit telur, berat selaput telur, berat putih telur, berat kuning telur, indeks putih telur, indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan warna kuning telur ) tidak dipengaruhi oleh warna bulu ayam kampung.

Abstract

This research aims to analysis the farmer’s income of the broilers farm with the closed house system on the partnership models. Variables observe are investment cost, production cost, business revenue, operating income, R/C ratio and BEP business. This research used data for one year consisting of 7 production periods. The data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that the investment cost is Rp 459.972.500 or Rp 41.816/tail, the average of production cost is Rp 322.804.204 per periods. The average revenue is Rp 353.650.992 per periods, theaverage income of broilers farmer reached out to Rp 20.391.337 each periods or Rp 1.020,74/kg body weight with the value of R/C ratio is 1,06. BEP of the production of broilers farm with closed house system on the partnership model is 6.771 kg body weight. BEP forselling price is equal toRp15.783/kg body weight. The results of this research showed that the performance of broilers production in closed house system on the partnership model is profitable and feasible.

Abstract

This activity aim was to learn aplication of preventive deseases at P4S Mupu Amerta cattle farm, Banjar Sale, Desa Abuan, Bangli as student obligation for apprentice study at Animal Husbandry Faculty, Udayana University. This studi show that Mupu’s farm good preventive deseases  was aplicated, through biosecurity, sanitation, vaccination and others.  Biosecurity measure which is implemented in that farm including permanent stable, apropriate distance to neighberhood, has private equipment and tight selection for visitors. In addition to Biosecurity, Sanitation, was applied not only to make stable clean and tidy but also farm as a hole.  Vaccination, on the other hand, the owner regularly give their catle SE vaccine, vitamin and worm medication. In conclusion, in Mupu’s farm comprehensive preventive deseasses was applied and the student obtain knowledge on deseasses prevention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mineral-vitamin complex supplementation in the ration to growth performance boar crossbreed the age of 2-6 months. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) comprising 3 treatments and 4 groups as replication, clustering based on weight. The treatments were attempted diets without supplementation of mineral-vitamin complex as the control (A), the diets with 0.10% mineral supplementation-vitamin complex (B), and 0.20% diets supplemented mineral-vitamin complex (C). The variables measured were final body weight, weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio. The results showed that supplementation of mineral-vitamin complex at the level of 0.10% and 0.20% (P <0.5) can improve the final body weight, weight gain and feed efficiency in use but not significantly (P> 0.5) increases feed intake in pigs race crosses the age of 2-6 months. It was concluded that supplementation of 0.10 to 0.20% mineral-complex vitamins in the ration can increase the final body weight, weight gain and feed efficiency in the use of the boar cross breed. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of traditional meat aging on the physical quality of Landrace pork and the optimal length of time for traditional meat aging to get good quality pork. The research material used landrace pork loin on LD (Longisimus Dorsi). The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications, namely P0 = fresh meat that was not aging, P1 = meat aging the muscle part of LD (Longisimus Dorsi) during 8 hours, P2 = meat aging the muscle part LD (Longisimus Dorsi) during 16 hours, P3 = meat aging the muscle part of the LD (Longisimus Dorsi) during 24 hoursat room temperature 28-290C. The variables observed in this study were pH measurement, meat color, water holding capacity, cooking loss, weep loss. The results showed that the traditional foraying statistics of Landrace pork crosses were significantly different (P <0.05) on pH value, meat color, water holding capacity, cooking loss, weep loss. The conclusion of this study is that Landrace pork crossing can improve the physical quality of crossing Landrace pork. The optimal length of pork delivery time to produce good quality pork for 8 hours for the color of red meat and high water holding capacity with cooking loss and low weep loss.
