Abstract

AbstrakTingkat stres pada pemain persatuan sepak bola Unnes sebelum pertandingan belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui “seberapa besar tingkat stres pada pemain Persatuan Sepak Bola Unnes sebelum menghadapi pertandingan”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei, yakni dengan memberikan angket kepada sampel. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat blue prin untuk mengetahui tingkat stres. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Maret 2017, di lapangan Prof. Dirham (lapangan sepak bola UNNES). Populasi dalam penelitian ini 30 dan sampel yang digunakan 18 pemain yang mengikuti kejuaraan nasional 2016. Data yang diperoleh dari tes menggunakan angket yang sebelumnya sudah diujikan ke responden yang berjumlah 30 pemain dari beberapa universitas, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Tingkat stres pada pemain PS.UNNES sebelum menghadapi pertandingan berada pada kategori “rendah” sebesar 11,1% (2 pemain), kategori “sedang” sebesar 72,2% (13 pemain), kategori “tinggi” sebesar 16,7% (3 pemain). Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata yaitu 66,0, tingkat stres pada pemain PS.UNNES sebelum menghadapi pertandingan dalam kategori “sedang”. Saran yang penulis berikan adalah pelatih mampu mengetahui psikologi pemain yang siap untuk menghadapi pertandingan, setiap pemain yang akan bertanding harus mengetahui kondisi psikologinya untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal dalam pertandingan, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuannya untuk bisa mengatasi stres ketika menghadapi pertandingan.Kata Kunci: Stres, reaksi alam, reaksi melawan, reaksi letih AbstractThe stress level on Unnes Football Unity Players before competition is unknown. This study aims to determine "how much stress level in Unnes Football League players before the competition". The research model used is survey research method that is by giving a questionnaire to the sample. In this study there is blue print to know the level of stress. This research was conducted on March 14, 2017, in the field of Prof. Dirham (soccer field UNNES). With the population in this study 30 and samples used 18 players who followed the national championship 2016. Data obtained from the test using a questionnaire that had been tested to the 30 respondents players from several Universities, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests. Levels of stress on PS.UNNES players before the competition in the "low" category of 11.1% (2 players), the "medium" category of 72.2% (13 players), the "high" category of 16.7% (3 players). Based on the average score of 66.0, the stress level on PS.UNNES players before the game in the "medium" category. Suggestions of this research is (1) the coach is able to know the psychology condition of players who are ready to face the game, (2) every player who will compete must know the psychological condition to get maximum results in the game, (3) increase confidence and ability to resolve stress when facing the gameKeywords: Stress level, natural reaction, against reaction, tired reaction

Abstract

AbstrakPengunjung, penyediaan lahan fasilitas Kolam Renang Tirto Argo Siwarak belum maksimal. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan analisis strategi pemasaran untuk meningkatkan daya tarik konsumen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kelemahan strategi pemasaran, cara pengelola melihat peluang, dan menganalisis kemungkinan ancaman di kolam renang Tirto Argo Siwarak Kabupaten Semarang. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi, responden berjumlah 7 orang yang terdiri dari 5 orang pengunjung, 1 orang pengelola, dan 1 karyawan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu, pengumpulan data, pemeriksaan keabsahan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa pemasaran Kolam Renang Tirto Argo Siwarak menunjukan bahwa produk (product) kolam renang bertema alam sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengunjung. Harga (price) terjangkau untuk umum dan pelajar. Tempat (place) yang strategis mudah dijangkau. Lingkungan fisik (physical evidence) yang masih asri memiliki fasilitas yang cukup lengkap. Sumber daya manusia (people) belum dibekali pelatihan khusus mengenai SOP kerja. Promosi (promotion) mengandalkan informasi dari mulut ke mulut. Proses (process) pelayanan ramah, tetapi standar baku pelayanan belum diterapkan.Kata Kunci: Pemasaran, Manajemen Kolam renang AbstractVisitors, the provision of Tirto Argo Siwarak Swimming Pool facilities has not been maximized, therefore an analysis of marketing strategies was carried out to increase consumer appeal. The purpose of this research is to know the strengths and weaknesses of marketing strategies, how managers see opportunities, and analyze possible threats in the Tirto Argo Siwarak swimming pool in Semarang Regency. Type of qualitative research with a case study design, data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, and observation, there were 7 speakers consisting of 5 visitors, 1 manager, and 1 employee.Data analysis techniques used include data collection components, checking the validity of the data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research obtained information that the marketing mix of Tirto Argo Siwarak Swimming Pool showed that natural-themed swimming pool products were in accordance with the needs of visitors. The price offered is quite affordable for the public and students. Strategic places are easy to reach. The physical environment (physical evidence) is in an area that is still beautiful and has quite complete facilities. Human resources (people) have not been provided with specific training on work SOPs. Promotion relies on word of mouth information. Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar lompat jauh gaya jongkok melalui drill dan media pipe jump hanging ball pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kandeman. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Pre Experimental Design, pemilihan sampel menggunakan Two Group Pre test-Post test Design dengan Simple Random Sampling. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII C yang berjumlah 32 siswa terdiri dari 16 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII D yang berjumlah 32 siswa terdiri dari 16 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan sebagai kelas eksperimen. Setelah itu kelompok kontrol mendapatkan perlakuan, yaitu melalui drill, sedangkan kelompok eksperimen mendapat perlakuan dengan media pipe jump hanging ball. Kemudian keduanya mendapatkan post test untuk mengetahui hasil yang telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas kontrol pre-test 47,000 dan post-test 76,719 berdasarkan hasil uji t diketahui hasil belajar (-23,485 dan sig (p) = 0,000 < 0,05). Sedangkan kelas eksperimen pre-test 47,000 dan post-test 81,906 berdasarkan hasil uji t diketahui hasil belajar (-26,833 dan sig (p) = 0,000 < 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa data mengalami peningkatan artinya dengan menggunakan media pipe jump hanging ball berpengaruh untuk membantu siswa dalam melakukan serangkaian gerakan lompat jauh dengan baik.Kata Kunci: Pipe Jump Hanging Ball, Drill, Lompat Jauh, Hasil Belajar AbstractThe purpose of this study was to improve squat style long jump learning outcomes through drill and hanging pipe jump media on grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kandeman. This type of research is a Pre Experimental Design sample selection in Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design with Simple Random Sampling. The subjects of this study were students of class VII C, amounting to 32 students consisting of 16 men and 16 women as the control class and class VII D, amounting to 32 students, consisting of 16 men and 16 women as the experimental class. After that the control group gets the treatment that is through the drill, while the experimental group gets the treatment with the pipe jump hanging ball media. Then both of them get a posttest to find out the results that have been done. The results of the pre-test and post-test studies showed a difference in the average learning outcomes of the 47,000 pre-test control class and 76,719 post-test based on the t-test results known learning outcomes (-23,485 and sig (p) = 0,000 <0.05) . While the 47,000 pre-test experimental class and 81,906 post-test based on the results of the t test revealed learning outcomes (-26,833 and sig (p) = 0,000 <0.05). Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keterampilan gerak teknik penggunaan alat latihan bebanmember Rembang Body Fitness, seperti bench press, lat pull down, bent arm fly, seated row, leg press, danstanding press ditinjau dari segi kesesuaian. Keberhasilan tujuan latihan dapat dilihat dari carapenggunaan alat latihan beban yang baik dan benar. Metode penelitian ini adalah survei tes. Jenispenelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di fitness center Rembang Body Fitness.Sasaran objek penelitian ini adalah gerak teknik penggunaan alat latihan beban. Penentuan sasaransubjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling. Sasaran subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 8member. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen kesesuaian gerak teknikpenggunaan alat latihan beban. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan kesesuaian gerak teknik penggunaan alat latihan beban pada memberRembang Body Fitness ditinjau dari segi kesesuaian sebagai berikut: alat bench press memiliki kriteriabaik, alat bent arm fly memiliki kriteria baik, alat lat pull down memiliki kriteria sangat baik, alat lseated row memiliki kriteria baik, alat leg press memiliki kriteria sangat baik, dan alat standing pressmemiliki kriteria sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah kesesuaian gerak teknik penggunaanalat latihan beban pada member Rembang Body Fitness masuk dalam kriteria baik.Kata Kunci: Gerak teknik, latihan beban, kesesuaian AbstractThe purpose of the research to determine the use of motion technique use tools weight training on RembangBody Fitness member’s, such as bench press, lat pull down, bent arm fly, seated row, leg press, and the pressstanding in terms of suitability. The success of a training goal can be seen from how the tool load is good andright, thus avoiding injury. The method used in this study is a survey test, type a descriptive qualitativeresearch. The research was carried out at the fitness center Rembang Body Fitness. Target object of this researchis the motion technique use tools weight training. Targeting research subjects use the purposive sampling. Goalof this study subjects were 8 members. The instrument used in this study is the observation instrument motorskills use of weight training. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that theconformity of motion tehnique using the tools weight training on member Rembang Body Fitness in terms of itsconformity as follows: the tools bench press has good criteria, the tool bent arm fly has good criteria, the tool latpull down has good criteria, tools seated row has good criteria, the tool leg press has good criteria, and the toolstanding press has good criteria. Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian buah pisang dan vitamin B1, B6, danB12 setelah melakukan aktivitas maksimal terhadap kelelahan. Desain penelitian menggunakanpost-test only with control group desingn. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampeldibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, perlakuan I (diberi pisang 300g) perlakuan II(diberi vitamin 100 mg B1, 200 mg B6, dan 200 mcg B12). Tes kelelahan diukur menggunakanRunning Anaerobik Sprint Test dengan menghitung asam laktat. Data dianalisis dengan uji OnewayAnova yang diuji lanjut menggunakan Post-hoc LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rerataasam laktat kelompok kontrol 10,7 mmHg; kelompok pisang 4,9 mmHg; kelompok vitamin B1,B6, dan B12 9,9 mmHg. Hasil uji Anova yaitu p = 0,002 dan berdasarkan uji Post-hoc nilai pasam laktat kelompok kontrol dengan pisang yaitu 0,004. Nilai p asam laktat kelompok pisangdengan vitamin B1, B6, dan B12 yaitu 0,006. Nilai p asam laktat kelompok kontrol denganvitamin B1, B6, dan B12 yaitu 0,971. Simpulan penelitian: 1) Pemberian buah pisang dan vitaminB1, B6, dan B12 sebelum lari anaerobik efektif untuk mencegah kelelahan otot anaerobik. 2) Buahpisang lebih efektif dalam mencegah kelelahan otot pada lari anaerobik.Kata Kunci: Pisang, vitamin B1, B6, dan B12, Kelelahan Otot AbstractThe purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the banana and vitamin B1, B6, and B12 after themaximum to fatigue.This is the kind of research experiments with the design post-test only with desingn controlgroup. The sampling method of sample use purposive sampling technique. The research sample is split into 3groups, the control group, treatment I (given the bananas 300 g) treatment II (given vitamin B1 100 mg, 200mg of B6, and 200 mcg of B12). Fatigue tests measured using Running Anaerobic Sprnt Test by countinglactic acid. Data analyzed by the Oneway ANOVA said using Post-hoc LSD. The results of the study showthat the control group lactic acid 10,7 mmHg; banana group 4,9 mmHg; group vitamin B1, B6, and B12 9,9mmHg. The ANOVA p = 0,002 Post-hoc p and based on the value of lactic acid 0,004. The value of p lacticacid group bananas with vitamins B1, B6, and B12 0,006. Abstract

AbstrakMotivasi dan kualitas layanan personal trainer merupakan strategi untuk menarik konsumen.Cendana Fitness Center (CFC) dan Grand Sport Fitness Center (GSFC) adalah dua dari banyaknyapelaku bisnis yang memiliki kendala dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan jumlah memberfitness pada tiap bulannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan kualitaslayanan personal trainer terhadap keputusan menjadi member fitness center. Metode penelitian iniadalah kuantitatif. Penarikan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling. Sampel berjumlah 37member CFC dan 36 member GSFC. Analisis dalam penelitian ini meliputi uji validitas, ujireabilitas, uji multikoloniaritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji normalitas dan pengujian hipotesis yangmeliputi uji t, uji F. Berdasarkan analisis data statistik, indikator penelitian ini bersifat valid danreliabel. Pada pengujian prasyarat penelitian yang meliputi uji multikoloniaritas, ujiheteroskedastisitas dan uji normalitas berdistribusi normal. Simpulan, ada pengaruh kualitaslayanan personal trainer terhadap keputusan menjadi member fitnes center serta terdapat pengaruhmotivasi dan kualitas layanan personal trainer secara simultan terhadap keputusan menjadi memberfitnes center, sedangkan motivasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan menjadi member fitnescenter. Saran, personal trainer selalu menjaga kualitas layanannya agar mendapatkan member baru.Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Kualitas Layanan, Personal Trainer, Keputusan Menjadi Member AbstractThe motivation and quality of personal trainer service is a strategy to attract the monsumers. The CendanaFitness Center (CFC) and Grand Sport Fitness Center (GSFC) are two kind of many businessmen that stillhave a trouble in keeping fitness membership and increase the amount of the members every month. Thisresearch is to know the motivation impact and the personal trainer service quality toward the decision inbecoming fitness center member. The methodology of the reseacrh is quantitative. The sampling is using nonprobability sampling. There are 37 samples of CFC membership and 36 samples GSFC member. The analysisof the research includes validity test, reability test, multicoloniarity test, heteroscedasticity test, normality testand hypothesis testing which includes t test, F test and coefficient of determination. Base on statistic dataanalysis, the indicator of the research are valid and reliable. In requirement of examination, the research thatinvolve multikoloniarity test, heteroscedasticity test and normality test distribution normal. Conclusion: thereare impact of personal trainer service quality toward the decision for becoming fitness center membership andthere is the influence of motivation and personal trainer service quality simultaneously to be fitnessmembership, while motivation can’t influence the decision to become a fitness center membership. Abstract

AbstrakKondisi sarana dan prasarana olahraga berdasarkan dimensi ruang terbuka Sport Development Index(SDI) di Kabupaten Demak Tahun 2017, masyarakat masih rendah dengan prestasi olahraganya,diantaranya karena faktor sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadahi. Tujuan penelitian untukmengetahui kondisi dan hasil sarana dan prasarana olahraga berdasarkan ruang terbuka SportDevelopment Index (SDI) di Kabupaten Demak Tahun 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodepengumpulan data primer dan sekunder. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan Cluster RandomSampling. Populasi penelitian adalah wilayah di Kabupaten Demak. Sampel penelitian adalah 3Kecamatan di Kabupaten Demak, yaitu Kecamatan Demak, Kecamatan Sayung, dan KecamatanMijen. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu konsep ruang terbuka (sarana dan prasarana) berdasarkanSport Development Index (SDI). Analisis data menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitiandiperoleh nilai indeks ruang terbuka (sarana dan prasarana) Kecamatan Demak 0.23, KecamatanSayung 0.03, Kecamatan Mijen 0.18 dan hasil tingkat Kabupaten Demak 0.14. This research uses quantitative research, using primaryand secondary data method. The sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The population in thisstudy is society in Demak Regency. The sample in this research covers 3 Subdistricts in Demak regency namelyDemak Subdistrict, Sayung Subdistrict, and Mijen Subdistrict. The instrument used in this study is theconcept of open space (facilities and infrastructure) based Sport Development Index (SDI). The data analysis inthis study uses Descriptive Quantitative. Abstract

AbstrakPermainan bola basket adalah salah satu cabang olahraga yang dimainkan oleh dua tim yangmasing-masing terdiri dari lima pemain. Seiring berjalannya waktu permainan bola basket dapatdimodifikasi, salah satunya yaitu permainan bola basket air yang merupakan sebuah modifikasipermainan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat, variasi permainan, serta mendorong siswaagar tidak merasa bosan melakukan permainan bola basket umumnya. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk menghasilkan modifikasi basket air pada siswa, agar siswa dapat mengembangkanaspek psikomotor, afektif, dan kognitif dalam peningkatan aktivitas jasmani melalui pendekatanpermainan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif-kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif.Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner, angket, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian inianalisis data lembar evaluasi uji coba satu aspek psikomotor dengan rata-rata sebanyak 57,48%(cukup baik). Data lembar evaluasi uji coba II dengan rata-rata sebanyak 81,79% (baik). Simpulan,para siswa diharapkan menambah pengetahuan dan pemahaman dengan membaca buku, majalahdan lainnya tentang permainan basket air aspek psikomotor yang dalam penelitian ini masih dalamkriteria cukup baik sehingga perlu peningkatan pemahaman.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, olahraga rekreasi, basket air AbstractThe game of basketball is one of the sports that is played by two teams consisting of five players each. Over thecourse of time basketball games can be modified one of them is a water basketball game which is a gamemodification that aims to increase interest, game variation, and encourage students to not feel bored doingbasketball games generally. The purpose of this research is to produce water basket modification in students sothat students can develop psychomotor, affective, and cognitive aspects in increasing physical activity throughgame approach. This research is a qualitative-quantitative research with descriptive design. The instrumentsused are questionnaires, questionnaires, and field notes. The result of this research is an analysis of evaluationdata of one aspect of psychomotor with average as much as 57,48% (good enough). II trial evaluation sheet datawith an average of 81.79% (good). The conclusion, the students are expected to increase their knowledge andunderstanding by reading books, magazines and others about the psychomotor aspect basketball game which inthis research is still in good enough criteria so that the need to increase the understanding.Keywords: Development, sports recreation, water basket

Abstract

AbstrakMetode latihan yang sering digunakan member pada program hypertrophy (penambahan massa otot)yaitu set system dan compound set. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan efektivitas latihanbeban menggunakan metode set system dan compound set terhadap hypertrophy otot lengan memberfitness Pion Gym Semarang. Desain penelitian yaitu, true experimental design dengan metode pretest-post test control grup design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh member fitness Pion GymSemarang. Sampel berjumlah 20 member diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kelompokeksperimen 1 diberi metode set system dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberi metode compound set.Hasil penelitian rerata hypertrophy kelompok eksperimen 1 otot biceps 32,8±3,01, otot triceps33,7375±3,17, sedangkan rerata hypertrophy kelompok eksperimen 2 otot biceps 33,295±2,55, otottriceps 34,335±2,42. Hasil Uji-t data post test otot biceps nilai thitung = 2,21 > 2,10 dan otot tricepsthitung = 2,15 > 2,10 jadi terdapat perbedaan hasil hypertrophy otot lengan biceps dan triceps antarakelompok eksperimen 1 dan eksperimen 2 setelah diberikan treatment. Simpulan hasil penelitianadalah metode compound set lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil hypertrophy otot lengan, sehinggapelatih sebaiknya menerapkan metode compound set untuk meningkatkan hypertrophy otot lengan.Kata Kunci: Compound Set, Fitness, Hypertrophy, Set System AbstractExercise methods are often used member on the hypertrophy program that is set system and compound set. Thisstudy aims to analyze the differences in the effectiveness of weight training using set system method andcompound set method of arm muscle hypertrophy on Pion Gym Semarang member's. The research design istrue experimental design with pre test-post test control group design method. The research population is allmembers of Pion Gym fitness Semarang. Samples totaling 20 members were taken by purposive samplingtechnique. Experiment group 1 was given set system method and experiment group 2 was given compound setmethod. The results of research, average hypertrophy on experimental group 1 of the biceps muscle is 32,8 ±3,01, and the triceps muscle is 33,7375 ± 3,17, while average hypertrophy on experimental group 2 of thebiceps muscle is 33,295 ± 2,55, and the muscle triceps is 34.335 ± 2.42. The result of t-test of post test data,biceps muscle tct = 2,21> 2,10 and triceps tct = 2,15> 2,10 so there is any difference of hypertrophy result ofbiceps and triceps muscles between experiment group 1 and experiment 2 group after given treatments.Conclusion of the research is the compound set method is more effective in improving hypertrophy result of armmuscle, so the trainer should apply the compound set practice method to improve the arm muscle hypertrophy.Keywords: Compound Set, Fitness, Hypertrophy, Set System

Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan fisik wanita berusia 40 tahun ke atas membuat wanita mengalami perubahan fungsi pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan senam hatha yoga terhadap pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh terhadap wanita 40-60 tahun di Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta. Metode penelitian menggunakan true experiment dengan pre test dan post test. Subjek penelitian adalah wanita di kelas senam hatha yoga di Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta berusia 40-60 tahun dengan populasi 49 orang, dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh 25 orang sampel. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes kapasitas pernapasan dan functional reach test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji beda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengujian awal, pernapasan (1496,15 cm3 kelompok eksperimen dan 1300 cm3 kelompok kontrol) dan keseimbangan tubuh (9,76 cm kelompok eksperimen dan 8,58 cm kelompok kontrol), setelah treatment hatha yoga, pernapasan (1592,31 cm3 kelompok eksperimen dan 1304,16 cm3 kelompok kontrol) dan keseimbangan tubuh (8,30 cm kelompok eksperimen dan 8,41 cm kelompok kontrol) meningkat dengan signifikansi <0,05, sedangkan pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh kelompok kontrol tidak memiliki perbedaan dengan tes awal dengan signifikansi >0,05. Simpulan, senam hatha yoga berpengaruh positif dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pernapasan wanita dan keseimbangan tubuh wanita 40-60 tahun.Kata Kunci: pernapasan, keseimbangan, hatha yoga Abstract Physical changes in women aged 40 years and over make a woman changes the function of respiration and balance the body. Objective: To know the influence and difference of hatha yoga gymnastics on body breathing and body balance 40-60 years at Ganep Surakarta Sanggar Senam. The research method used is true experiment with pre test and post test. Subjects in this study were participants who enrolled in the gymnastic class of hatha yoga at Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta who was aged 40-60 years and female sex with a population of 49 people, using purposive sampling technique obtained 25 people as a sample. The instrument of this research is the test of breathing capacity and functional reach test. Data analysis technique is using different test. The results showed generally in the initial test, (1496.15 cm3 in the experimental group and 1300 cm3 in the control group) and body balance (9.76 cm in the experimental group and 8.58 cm in the control group) Which was low, but after treatment of hatha yoga, respiration (1592.31 cm3 in the experimental group and 1304.16 cm3 in the control group) and body balance (8.30 cm in the experimental group and 8.41 cm in the control group) Increased with significance <0.05, while respiration and balance of body of control group did not differ from at the time of initial test with significance> 0,05. Research conclusions, Hatha yoga exercise has positive effect and can to improve on women's breathing and the balance of female body 40-60 years.Keywords: breathing, balance, hatha yoga
