Abstract

This article was to improve students' ability to analyze the viscosity material in implementing the Arduino-based MRSM (Mini Reed Switch Magnetic) teaching media. The researchers used a quasi experimental design in the form of non equivalent pre-test post-test group design. The instruments used were tests and observation sheets to obtain data. Data collection on theability to analyze through giving tests to students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed an increase in the ability to analyze by 20%. The highest assessment aspect in the first aspect is the ability of students to find problems encountered and be able to distinguish problems that fit the theme. The results of this trial produce data on the implementation of learning by 98% with a reliable category. Hence, MRSM teaching media is able to improve the ability to analyze students. Abstract

This article was to improve the understanding of elementary school students' geometry concepts through the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) model that assisted by virtual nets. This research was classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles where each cycle had two meetings. The research subjects were the fifth grade students. In this study two cycles were carried out where if the first cycle had not yet reached the specified indicators. It would be improved in the next cycle or the second cycle. Data collection techniques used tests and observations in each cycle. In the second cycle it was felt that the target had been reached, so that the study would end until the second cycle. At the pre-cycle stage obtained a classical percentage of 50%, the first cycle obtained a percentage of 70% and in the second cycle increased by 100%. Thus the researcher concludes that through the RME model assisted by virtual nets can improve the understanding of geometrical concepts of elementary school students. Abstract

This article was to analyse how the educational process of exceptional children in the special educational school Waraqil Jannah. This school was an excellent school who integrated with an orphanage, founded in 2012. The researchers used descriptive qualitative methods though Purwoko’s theory. Observation, interview, and documentation were used in this collecting data. While, analysing data used triangulation technique. The obtained data was to analyzed by referring to the models of Miles and Huberman analysis with the steps of data reduction, data model (data display) and the withdrawal of conclusions. The result showed that the school used curriculum based on combination from government curriculum and local curriculum, but in the process of daily learning was adjust to condition of children. Learning facilities was available. Hence it can interfere with the learning process. Abstract

This research based on the problems of the learning system in Indonesia which a national and international scale. At this time learning must be oriented in Industrial Era 4.0 and the educational paradigm must be change in systems thinking to the top level of Bloom revised taxonomy. The researchers analyzed how to apply using Reflective Metacognitive Learning (RML) model and integrated Garrison, Anderson, and Archer model to achieve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of KKNI Curriculum at Institut Ilmu AL Qur’an Jakarta in Islamic study program. This research based on a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data was obtained from the fifth semester students of Islamic Education Program of Institut Ilmu Al-Quran (IIQ) Jakarta and from all relevant sources such as interviews, observations, and documentations. The findings showed that the application of the Reflective-Metacognitive Learning (RML) model integrated with the Garrison, Anderson, and Archer model was found in the four critical thinking skills of (IIQ) Jakarta students in learning, for instance: (1) students are quick to respond to events (trigger event), (2) students are more able to explore (exploration) (3) students can integrate knowledge into the context of learning (integration) and (4) then students propose (resolution). It was important that the application of these two models can improve the learning process and level of thinking of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) metacognitive levels.
