Abstract

This paper examined the relationship between the model growth opportunities rests on combining the firm advantages and liminatons, and the investment opportunity sets. This research, particularly, extend the work of AINajjar and Belkaoui (2001) for Indonesian conditions. I used financial institutions as the sample of my research. This research aimed to examined the growth opportunities of financial institutions because this sector in last several yaer in very bad conditions. The conditions happened because of economic consequence also there is a merger between banks. The firm advantages are used four variables such corporate reputation, multinational, size and profitability. Two variables are used as firm limitations such leverage and systematic risk. This research find evidence that profitability as firm advantages and laverage as firm limitation confirmed with the general model of growth opportunities. Nevertheless, the relationship between leverage and IOS are directly related, where this relation are not consistent with the theory.

Abstract

Penelitian yang ditujukan pada usaha kecil menengah di Magelang , bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik kepemimpinan transformasional dan karakteristik wirausaha. Variabel penelitian dari karakteristik kepemimpinan transformasional terdiri dari kharisma, inspiratif, rangsangan intelektual dan pertimbangan individual. Variabel karakteristik wirausaha adalah komitmen tinggi, kepemimpinan, kemampuan menangkap peluang usaha, berani mengambil resiko, kreatif, mandiri, pandai beradaptasi dan motivasi berprestasi . Metode sampling adalah purposive sampling, dengan sampel sejumlah 35 UKM di Magelang. Analisa data adalah Korelasi dan analisa varian. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara karakteristik kepemimpinan transformasional dan implementasi karakteristik wirausaha pada UKM di Magelang.

Abstract

This research is condusted in Small Medium Enterpresises (SME’s) in Magelang, aim to know the the relationship betwee the characteristic of transformasional leader and the implementaion of chacarteristic’s entrepreneur. Researchis conducted at July 2010. Reasearch variable consisted of the variable chacarteristic of the transformational leader. They are charisma, inspirational, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. Variable of characteristic’s entrepreneur are the high commitment, leadership, ability catch the opportunity, dare to risk, creative, self-supporting, adaptive capability and motivate achievement. The sampling method is purposive sampling, with the amount sample is 35 SME’s in Magelang. The analyze data are correlation and analyze of variance. Result of calculation show that there is positive and significant relation between the characteristic of transfrmational leaders and the implementation of chacarteristic’s entrepreneur in SME’s in Magelang.

Abstract

This research aim to test influence of strategic change to organizational performance at company using budget by interactive compared using budget diagnostically,. Second target is to know influence of strategic change to organizational performance at company using style leadership of consideration with company using style leadership of structure initiating. Organizational performance represent a measuring instrument used to measure storey, level efficacy of management. Company often make a change strategic to reach optimal performance. This research take manufacturing business sample exist in Magelang, by propagating equatedto middle storey; level manager from each company. Sample selected with method of convenience sampling, and got by 40 respondent. Result of research express that strategic change have an effect on positive to performance when company use budget by interactive. Examination to both hypothesis expressing that strategic change will be more have an effect on when ompany use style leadership of consideration than structure initiating. As narrow; tight as research region which only in Magelang cause result of this research less earn generalizing for boarder region, so that for research herei in afte shall be conducted by taking sample with broarder region.
