Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematika.penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriftif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 pada kelas X.subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi, dua siswa kemampuan awal sedang dan dua siswa kemampuan awal rendah. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah hasil tes dan hasil wawancara. Focus penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman siswa tentang logaritma berdasarkan kemampuan awal yang dimiliki. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan awal yang mereka miliki. Sehingga siswa dengan kemamapuan awal tinggi mendominasi lebih menguasai indikatoer pemahaman  konsep dibandingkan dengan siswa berkemampuan awal sedang atau rendah.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan usulan alternative penggunaan aplikasi pemrograman guna untuk peningkatan manajemen dalam memenuhi akuntabilitas pada koperasi simpan pinjam “ Gemah Ripah” desa Busukan, Mojosongo, Surakarta, dimana koperasi simpan pinjam tersebut didirikan dan dikelola oleh swadaya masyarakat, dimanfaatkan dan diperuntukkan oleh warga sendiri.Dengan adanya aplikasi Kosipin yang dikembangkan oleh tim abdimas tersebut, maka diharapkan dapat membantu optimalisasi kerja pengurus sehingga mampu menjaga keberlangsungan koperasi masyarakat tersebut sendiri. Pengembangan aplikasi tersebut dengan menggunakan Microsoft Acces, suatu program aplikasi keluaran Microsoft yang berguna untuk membuat, mengolah, dan mengelola database model relasional yang saling berhubungan sehingga menghasilkan informasi (report) semua input data tentang aktivitas keanggotaan dalam bentuk, peminjaman, riwayat peminjaman, setoran tabungan (simpanan) yang memudahkan pengurus untuk melakukan administrasi.

Abstract

To achieve the principle of good university governance, the use of state finances must be managed orderly, regulatory, efficiently, economically, effectively, transparently, responsibly and having fair sense and properly from the planning, implementation and its accountability process. In reality, not all universities are able to achieve the good university governance principles. This article aims to find out how the role of Internal Control Unit (SPI) in achieving the principles of good university governance in universities. We used qualitative method to find out how the role of SPI in achieving the good university governance principles. The informants in this study were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by interview and the data analysis technique was carried out by data reduction, data presentation and making conclusion. The conclusion of this research was that the SPI had important role in the effort to achieve the principle of good university governance. However, there were some problems related to ineffectiveness of the SPI's role. The results of this research were to provide recommendation as well on the importance of research related to the effectiveness of internal control in higher education.

Abstract

The increasing use of social media in Indonesia has actually led to an increase in untrue news, often referred to as hoax news. In addition, social media is often used as a medium for spreading hate speech. So the thing that must be done to overcome these problems is to improve digital literacy to implement civic responsibility in everyone, which is done through the Pelita community in Semarang City. This research provides a literature review of the Pelita community's efforts to build citizens' digital literacy and the role of digital literacy in improving civic responsibility through Pelita. The results show that the Pelita community has provided a basic understanding of digital literacy so that it can increase a sense of civic responsibility.

Abstract

Vocational education has a very important role in the national education system to create a quality national workforce. One of the programs to increase the absorption of SMK graduates in industry is the existence of a partnership program between SMKs and the Business and Industrial World (DUDI). Based on 19 articles published in 2018-2022 concerning partnerships between SMKs and DUDI, several partnership models have been established, including curriculum alignment based on industry needs, teacher and student apprenticeships, guest teachers from industry, industrial visits, teaching factory assistance, testing competency certification, employee recruitment, and infrastructure support. Some of the obstacles and challenges encountered, namely the partnership program has not been implemented optimally, the work unit is not suitable, the contents of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) have not been fully realized, the form of partnership activity is unclear, lack of concern for both SMK and DUDI in implementing the partnership program, and competition between industry causes a lack of industry trust to involve students in the production process. While the opportunities that exist include the involvement of Vocational Schools in the production process through Teaching Factory, technology updates, student competency according to industry needs and the absorption of graduates by industry is increasing.

Abstract

This study explores the role of teaching material products and job sheets in the implementation of project-based learning at SMK Mikael Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The research design uses an ethnographic design. Informants as resource persons were vice principals in the field of curriculum, heads of machining engineering competency skills, heads of production units, and teachers of machining engineering practice. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Validity testing uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. This research shows that schools can fulfill the procurement of equipment and materials in stages. Based on the findings, learning tools provide support for project-based learning in the form of (1) preparing job sheet documents as a learning tool for students during practice. The job sheet is in the form of material stages to achieve student competency targets. (2) ensure that the results of objects that students work on through the competency stages can be used as products with use value.

Abstract

Character education is important for instilling good morals in students, including social care values. This study aims to discover more deeply how schools internalize social care values through character education in elementary schools. Character education makes students good citizens who care about social problems in their immediate environment. The research design used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study model. Researchers used interviews (structured) and observation with educators and students to collect data. Data was validated based on the character education triangulation rubric in learning. Results of the study show that overall the internalization of social care values through character education at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School of Surakarta has been successfully carried out through value transformation, namely various strategies such as; character formation and empathy towards others, habituation of social caring attitude; the teacher gives constructive reprimands; The teacher also acts as a role model by setting an example in socially caring behavior and peer tutoring. This result is also strengthened by changes in student attitudes, such as respecting the school community; help a friend in need. This research implies that all relevant stakeholders must continue to improve and be consistent with changes in student behavior.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aims to enhance the Mastery of Comprehensive Qualitative Research Methodology (MCQRM) among Sociology students. The goal is to equip students with systematic thinking steps involving philosophy, paradigm, object of study, theory, method, statistics, case examples, and addressing real problems and solutions. The research adopts a deconstruction approach, using the model of Eid al-Fitr greetings as its substance. The participants are 26 Sociology students enrolled in the Qualitative Research Method course. Data was collected through surveys using Google Forms twice during sessions from the 9th to the 15th meeting. Responses from the first form were compared with those from the second form. The differences between them were then interpreted as indicators of changes in the mastery of comprehensive thinking steps resulting from the learning treatment. The data were analyzed using analytical descriptive statistics in SPSS software. The results show a significant improvement in the overall mastery of qualitative research methodology, with a positive change of 30.8%. Improvement is also evident in method mastery at 38.5% and statistical mastery at 11.5%. The students successfully construct comprehensive thinking steps, ranging from post-positivism philosophy to the application of social definition and social behavior paradigms. They can understand the object of sociological study in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, integrating Action and Social Exchange theories, Qualitative Research Methods, and descriptive statistics. Through this understanding, students can present a fluent thought process from various philosophical perspectives and in solving real-world problems.

Abstract

Abstract: Digital Flipbook-Based Mathematics Teaching Materials using RME Approach to Improve Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability. This research aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of flipbook-based statistics teaching materials using realistic mathematics education (RME) approach in improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class XI AKL students at SMK N 1 Karanganyar. This research and development uses a 4D model. The assessment of the development of teaching materials is based on the validity and practicality aspects, while the assessment of mathematical problem-solving abilities is based on the effectiveness aspect. Data were collected through material expert and media expert validation sheets for validity aspects, teacher and student response questionnaires for practical elements, and experimental class and control class student answer sheets for effectiveness aspects. Material and media experts assessed the validity aspect, and experimental class students and teachers evaluated the practicality aspect. The effectiveness aspect was by looking at the average post-test score for the experimental and control classes via the t-test. The assessment results show that the teaching materials developed are valid, practical, and effective.  Keywords: teaching materials, realistic mathematics education, research and development Abstrak: Bahan Ajar Matematika Berbasis Flipbook Digital Menggunakan Pendekatan RME untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan bahan ajar statistika berbasis flipbook menggunakan pendekatan realistic mathematics education (RME) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XI AKL SMK N 1 Karanganyar. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D. Penilaian pengembangan bahan ajar berdasarkan aspek kevalidan dan aspek kepraktisan, sedangkan penilaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan aspek keefektifan. Pengambilan data melalui lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media untuk aspek kevalidan, angket respon guru dan siswa untuk aspek kepraktisan, sedangkan lembar jawab siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk aspek keefektifan. Aspek kevalidan dinilai oleh  ahli materi dan ahli media, aspek kepraktisan dinilai siswa kelas eksperimen dan guru, lalu aspek keefektifan dengan melihat rerata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui uji t.
