Abstract

Abstract

Abstract - Selection of a good food menu for children is a factor that needs to be considered to optimize the growth of the baby. In this case, the role of parents is needed in the selection of good food for children. The food menu needed for children must contain balanced nutrients such as carbohydrates, protein, fiber content, and water. As is the case with children in the Taqwa Perkebunan Gunung Melayu Kindergarten where the regulation of diet in children is very dependent on the knowledge of the mother in choosing, processing and managing the food needed for the child's school supplies. For this reason, a decision support system is needed in determining the ranking of healthy food menus using the AHP method. The AHP method helps in decision making through complex comparisons to be a more accurate alternative. This method also allows measurement of ratio scales for alternative criteria and scoring weights. So that a solution is obtained or the results of several alternatives for a decision to be taken. With the existence of a decision support system, the selection of food menus for children is expected to help parents choose food menus quickly and according to the needs of children. Keywords - Food Menu, Decision Support System, AHP

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a dual activity that requires various cognitive and linguistic processes to complete. This is the result of two skill sets namely: decoding and linguistic comprehension. It covers the differences in reading comprehension and provides a useful basis for classifying reading difficulties. This study aims to develop multimedia as a learning tool in training the reading skills of elementary school students. The subjects of this study involved 30 grade 5 students at the elementary school level. This research uses a research and development (R&D) approach, through a Gall & Borg development study. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and observations for non-test databases and formative and summative evaluations for testing the effectiveness of the developed media which were included in the test category. The data analysis technique used in this study uses several stages which include; transcription, verification, and coding data from all test and non-test data that have been collected. The learning model is integrated with various learning tools (multimedia) including student and teacher books, as well as lesson plans (RPP). Based on the data obtained, it is known that multimedia integrated with the inquiry learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes than without using multimedia. The findings of this study provide a fundamental reference for thinking about reading comprehension and its growth by emphasizing the importance of decoding in reading.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to: (1) produce teaching modules based on the Rayisah learning model that are suitable for use in learning English and (2) to determine the effectiveness, validity, and practicality of the teaching module based on the Rayisah learning model. This type of research is research and development that uses the RD model from Borg and Gall combined with the instructional design model from Dick and Carey. This research method has two stages, namelyIn the phase of developing and trial, the product must pass some validations and trial processes. The result shows that: (1) the assessment of instructional material experts is in the criteria of “very good” (82,94%), (2) the assessment of instructional design experts is in the criteria of “very good” (81,58%), (3) the assessment of instructional model expert is in the criteria of “very good” (94,42%), (4) the assessment of media experts is in the criteria of “very good” (85%), (5) the assessment of individual trial is in the criteria of “very good” (81,03%), (6) the assessment of small group trial is in the criteria of “very good” (90,09%), and (7) the assessment of field trial is in the criteria of “very good” too (92,08%).In the phase of testing the product’s effectiveness, the methode used is quasi experiment. 20 students are in the experimental class which were taught with a life skills based instructional model and 20 students are in the control class which were taught with a conventional one. The result of hypothesis testing indicates that there is a significant difference between the students’ learning outcome in the experimental class and the students’ learning outcome in the control class. This result is concluded based on the post test data processing in which tcount ttable (3.34 1.68) at the significance level of α = 0.05. Therefor, the life skills based instructional model is proper and effective used in learning English at training and course institute.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, particularly in learning assessments, presents a notable paradigm shift, promising advancements in learning methodologies. Numerous studies advocate for AI's potential to enhance students' quality by refining evaluations and furnishing precise, measurable feedback. It stands out in mitigating errors, enhancing evaluation accuracy, identifying individual needs, and fostering more effective teaching. Traditional educational approaches, fraught with subjective human judgment and limited forms of assessment like written or oral tests, often fail to capture individual abilities comprehensively. AI's implementation demonstrates the ability to reduce bias, enhance efficiency, and provide tailored assessments, addressing these limitations. Methodologically, this article employs a literature review to synthesize various perspectives on AI's impact on education. It explores AI's potential benefits such as objectivity, efficiency, consistency, analytical capabilities, developmental programs, personalization, flexibility, and anti-cheating measures. Furthermore, it delves into challenges, notably AI's validity, high costs, technological dependency, data security, and the potential influence of behavioral changes on assessment outcomes. The results reveal multifaceted advantages of AI technology, including objectivity in assessments devoid of human bias, efficiency in time and cost, consistent evaluations, enhanced analytical skills, assessment program development, flexibility, and fraud mitigation. However, challenges exist, ranging from ensuring AI's validity and reliability, addressing technological dependency and cost hurdles, securing data, to mitigating biased discrimination. In conclusion, while AI presents a plethora of advantages, its integration into education demands meticulous consideration of associated challenges. The technology's efficacy and reliability, coupled with the cost and security aspects, necessitate thorough scrutiny and rigorous testing before implementation.
