Abstract

The research wants to describe the condition of press stifling in the New Orde. Then, it tries make a philosophical reflection about the condition of arangement and practical standart of jurnalism in Indonesia post New Orde.The research uses the "philosophical-hermeneutics" method. At the second stage, data are analyzed by philosophical reflection about the stifling of press in the New Orde. The data are collected by library inquiry.The result of this research are: at the end of New Orde regime, the stifling of press and the controling of press are still done. Threfore, there is no space for the press freedom at the time. The press freedom is the symbol of democration. The probelm of democration is really the only press freedom. It will be an agenda of probelm when we require the democratization in large scale. However, without some press freedom there is no ooportunity to get dome democration. It is the significant meaning of press freedom for attempting a democratization.

Abstract

AbstractTraditional folklores for Aceh people have significant roles in the education field as tools in transfering knowledge and cultural values. This paper researches two of the Aceh folklores, Amat Rhyang Mayang and Putroe Gumbak Meuh. The two folklores are full of educational values. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sejarah pendidikan di Indonesia secara cara umum, kebijakan pendidikan pada setiap jaman, dan pendidikan di Indonesia dari perpektif filsafat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian filsafat atas masalah aktual yaitu pendidikan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode linear dengan melalui beberapa  tahap yaitu persepsi, refleksi dan menyusun konsepsi. Unsur-unsur metode yang digunakan adalah interpretasi, analisa-sintesa, kesinambungan historis, dan idealisasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pendidikan di Indonesia semakin mengarah kepada ontologi pendidikan positivistik dan semakin kehilangan orientasi humanistiknya karena melihat manusia tidak secara utuh. Pendidikan lebih memperhatikan aspek kognitif dan mengabaikan aspek lainnya. Nilai-nilai pragmatisme dalam pendidikan semakin menguat pada era reformasi. Pendidikan sebagai program untuk menyiapkan anak didik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri. Terjadi reduksi makna pendidikan yang esensinya adalah aktivitas budaya menjadi aktivitas ekonomi. Pendidikan hanya mencetak manusia menjadi homo faber. Pendidikan menghilangkan kesempatan manusia menjadi manusia seutuhnya. Pendidikan sebagai suatu aktivitas khas manusia jauh lebih bermakna dari sekedar mencetak tenaga kerja. Pendidikan adalah upaya memanusiakan manusia.

Abstract

This article explores the changes that occur in terrorism networks, especially related to changes in recruitment targets. These changes are observed in the perspective of Jean Paul Sartre's existentialism. This article aims to find out the changes that occur in the terrorism network in relation to the methods and targets of recruitment and how the changes are interpreted in the context of Jean Paul Sartre's existentialism. There are four aspects of changes that occur in terrorism, namely organization, means of propaganda, targets of recruitment and targets of action. The younger generation involved in terrorist networks can be seen as an attempt to realize a full self-existence as a result of the denial or denial of the existence of others.AbstrakArtikel ini mengeksplorasi perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi di dalam jaringan terorisme, terutama terkait dengan perubahan sasaran rekrutmen. Perubahan-perubahan ini dilihat dalam perspektif eksistensialisme Jean Paul Sartre. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi di dalam jaringan terorisme dalam kaitannya dengan metode dan sasaran rekrutmen serta bagaimana perubahan-perubahan ini ditafsirkan dalam konteks eksistensialisme Jean Paul Sartre. Ada empat aspek perubahan yang terjadi di dalam terorisme, yaitu organisasi, sarana propaganda, sasaran perekrutan dan sasaran aksi. Generasi muda yang terlibat dalam jaringan terorisme dapat dipandang sebagai suatu upaya untuk mewujudkan eksistensi diri yang sepenuhnya sebagai hasil dari penegasian atau penyangkalan atas eksistensi yang lain.

Abstract

Paulo Freire’s problem-posing education is an idea or a concept in which the development of students’ consciousness towards self-realities and their environments enables them to adopt critical and creative attitudes. The concept implies that teaching-learning process should emphasize a dialectical-emancipatory method and a curriculum involving students’ daily-life realities. While it bears a positive dimension of developing students' critical and creative thinking, the concept also has the negative dimension as it can be utopian. Nevertheless, problem-posing education is relevant to Indonesian education since it provides possible solutions to structural problems faced by Indonesian people.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper aims to make Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics the ontological basis of multiculturalism. This is interesting to do because, first, multiculturalism can be seen as a hermeneutical phenomenon and secondly, philosophical hermeneutics contains significant concepts for multiculturalism, such as tradition, effective historical awareness, dialogue and fusion of horizons. To reveal the ontological vision contained in philosophical hermeneutics, this paper uses Heidegger's existential ontology as its formal object, namely the concept of being-in-a-world. With analogical analysis, the ontological vision of philosophical hermeneutics is obtained, namely dialectical ontology. This ontological vision becomes the ontological basis for multiculturalism as dialogical multiculturalism. Keywords: Philosophical hermeneutics, ontology, multiculturalism

Abstract

The paper was conducted to discover the nature of justice in the view of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and to reveal his ijtihād from the point of view of a philosophical theory of justice. This research includes philosophical research that is historical-factual about a character with the type of library research then analyzes and presents it in a descriptive form. This paper finds that the essence of justice in the view of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb is acceptable behavior that is animated by the principle of equality. 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb has applied the principle of equality before the law. He treats reason and revelation in harmony and balance in his ijtihād. 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb drew inspiration from the intellect that Allah had given him by capturing universal values brought by the Koran, such as justice and equality, which are valid forever. This research contributes to the flexibility of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb in ijtihād, which is imbued with the principle of equality.

Abstract

The rise of LGBT cases is becoming a hot subject in the world as well as Indonesia, attracting researchers to see how it exists as an object as well as a subject. In addition, by knowing the existence of LGBT, it will also be known that its existence is a subjective, objective or relative phenomenon. This research is a type of library study research using the relevant theory reference, namely Whitehead's theory of Process Philosophy. From Whitehead's perspective, experiencing yourself intensively preoccupied with the conflict between oneself and all others in a harmonious union. Because values are determined by different things, the more an actual entity in the process of self-embodiment can distinguish itself from the other, the more intensive the actual entity experiences the subject, the more intensive it is to experience itself From the results of the literature study above showing that LGBT is the abnormality of sexual orientation influenced by the various factors that make it an independent subject. As a subject, LGBT is also an object for other subjects to form new subjects

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP Swasta di Kota Tangerang . Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitian survei korelasional. Teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Path Analysis. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 83 siswa. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa : 1) terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar Matematika siswa SMP Swasta di Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 5,948 > ttabel = 1,989, 2) terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP Swasta di Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 6,975 > ttabel = 1,989, 3) terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan perhatian orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SMP Swasta di Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 3,022 > ttabel = 1,989, 4) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang tidak signifikan perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar Matematika melalui motivasi belajar siswa SMP Swasta di Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 1,811 < ttabel = 1,989. Implikasi penelitian: 1) Secara praktis penelitian ini dapat memberikan sumbangan yang positif bagi perbaikan pengajaran mata pelajaran Matematika yaitu melalui prestasi belajar matematika melalui perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar. 2) Secara teoritis berguna untuk 77 pengembangan metodologi pembelajaran Matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama pada khususnya dan ditingkat lain pada umumnya, 3) Sumber referensi mengenai pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar Matematika.Kata Kunci : Perhatian Orang Tua, Motivasi Belajar , Prestasi Belajar Matematika
