Abstract

Educational city Bukittinggi has some Senior High School (SMA) and they are potential.  Learning process is doing well but not optimal yet. Mathematics teacher find the difficulties in build, solve and interprete mathematical models based and real world problem. In other case, it is one of the mathematics learning objectives for SMA. This case gives the negative impact. If teacher knows the models of a problem, she/he will use in explaining the lessson, so that the students find the benefit  of that mathematical concept. One way to solve this problem is give a workshop to teacher to construct mathematical model based on the real world context. In workshop teacher are teached how to model it, oriented to mathematical modelling. The objective of this workshop to help SMA mathematical teacher to model the real world problem, so that the problem solved. Workshop do with several analysis, they are analysis of need, orientation and discussion. Result that teacher reach are they are motivated to study how to model mathematical problem and they understand how to model it.

Abstract

The research was conducted to learn about the effect of effective learning behavior on students' cognitive-psychomotor skills in class IX mathematics learning at MTs Ash-Shiddiqiyyah Sumber Cirebon. This method of research is quantitative research. The population of this research is composed of all students of class IX MTs Ash-Shiddiqiyyah, The sample of this research is class IX B with a total of 24 students taken from Cluster Random Sampling. The data collection techniques used are 2, ie questionnaires for effective behavioral data and test data for the cognitive-psychomotor skills of students. The technique of data analysis for hypothesis testing is a simple regression analysis technique. The result of this research shows that the result of t-count = 7.522 is greater than t-table = 0.404 so it means that there is an influence between an effective learning behavior towards the ability cognitive-psychomotor of the student in mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to see the improvement of problem solving abilities of mathematical students of smp with the model of assisted PBL Geometer's Sketchpad, this study is quasi experimental because in this study subjects are not grouped randomly, but researchers accept the state of the subject as it aims to see the improvement of problem-solving skills and the ability of mathematical reasoning with PBL-aided model of Geometer's Sketchpad. The population of this study is all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Sindangagung Kuningan, the sample of the study is a class VIII students as much as two classes. The study consisted of two groups, the group with the learning of PBL with Geometer's Sketchpad and the group with conventional learning. Each group consists of thirty students. Research data were collected through problem-solving test, and observation. Data analysis is done qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative analysis was done by using t-test and nonparametric Mann-Whitney. Qualitative analysis is done by observing the observation data. From the plot diagram it can be seen that problem solving ability is increased in students with low category. The results of this study are (1) Improved problem-solving abilities that obtained a better learning model than students who received regular learning

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze about contextual approach to improve understanding ability in senior high school Bakti Utama. The population in this research is XI grade senior high school in Bandung Barat. This study was designed qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results and discussion students understanding ability had improved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan informasi yang detail tentang proses validitas isi, validitas butir, dan reliabilitas instrumen evaluasi berbasis model Alkin sebagai alat evaluasi pelaksanaan blended learning mata kuliah Matematika Diskrit di STIKOM Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan instrumen, dengan tahapan-tahapan yaitu: pendefinisian variabel, penjabaran variabel menjadi indikator, penyusunan butir-butir instrumen, uji coba instrumen, serta analisis validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang pakar pendidikan informatika dan seorang pakar evaluasi pendidikan yang menguji validitas isi instrumen, sedangkan sebanyak 50 orang mahasiswa dilibatkansebagai responden dalam penentuan validitas dan reliabilitas butir instrumen. Alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dan foto dokumentasi. Analisis validitas isi instrumen dilakukan melalui perhitungan Gregory, analisis validitas butir instrumen melalui perhitungan korelasi pearson–product moment, dan analisis reliabilitas instrumen melalui perhitungan koefisien Cronbach Alpha. Hasil penelitian ini menampilkan validitas isi dan reliabilitas instrumen yang tergolong dalam kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the ethnomatematics contained in Batik Paoman Indramayu and apply it to the learning of geometry field in elementary school. This research is a qualitative research with ethnography approach, where the data collection technique is done by library study, observation, interview, field note, and documentation. Interviews were conducted on two batik entrepreneurs and an embroidered entrepreneur. Based on the results of research data collection obtained 7 namely Parang Teja, Obar Abir, Biskuit Sawat, Serujing, Matahari, Siled and Banji Tepak. The concept of elementary geometry in the primary school that is on the paoman batik motif is the concept of point, straight line, curve line, zigzag line, line height, parallel line, angle, triangle, rectangle, fold symmetry, rhombus.Paoman batik motif that has the concept of geometry for elementary school, of course can be used in the pursuit of geometry fields such as on line recognition, angle recognition, and simple flat wake recognition.

Abstract

The ability of mathematical communication is contained in the curriculum and objectives of mathematics learning. Through mathematical communication is expected to improve students abilities of mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of mathematical communication ability of junior high school students on the material system of two linear equations. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The study time was held in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. The subjects of the study were students of SMP class VIII in Cimahi city as many as 33 students. Data collection methods used are test methods, observation and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis showed the students mathematical communication ability of SMP on linear equation system two variables were obtained: (1) students ability in reflecting real objects, drawings and diagrams into mathematics idea with percentage of 81,08%; (2) students ability to explain ideas, situations and mathematical relations both orally and in writing using real objects, images, graphs and algebraic expressions with percentage of 33,33%; (3) the ability of students to declare daily events in language or mathematical symbols or to construct an event mathematical model of 18.18%; (4) students ability in explaining and making math questions studied for 7.58% and (5) students ability in making conjectures, formulating arguments, formulating definitions and generalizations of 7.58%.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore learning obstacles when students are given a Trigonometry problem in the mathematical understanding ability. Learning obstacles are constraints faced during learning and result in less than optimal learning. The given trigonometric material is just about the number and the difference of the cosine sinus. Trigonometry material given based on students' mathematical understanding ability. The ability of mathematical understanding based on 2 indicators is the ability of instrumental understanding and the ability of relational understanding. This research was conducted on students of class XI IPA 1MAN 3 Majalengka. This research method using qualitative approach by analyzing student answer result. The results of this study found some barriers to learning both are instrumental understanding and relational understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for effective mathematical learning models for students with learning difficulties in math at inclusion schools. The formulation of the problem is "How can the learning model that can be used to help the child the difficulty learning math in understanding the concept of numbers?". This research uses Reseach and development method. Research data obtained from the results of student tests and observation of student and teacher interaction. This research produced a model of mathematics learning design for students with learning difficulties. The conclusion is that (1) Mathematics learning model can improve students' understanding about addition and reduction of three numbers, because in general the learning achievement of students before and after learning differ significantly. (2) Learning that takes place more centered on the students (student center), because the student activity is greater than the teacher activity. (3) The use of students' mathematics teaching aids increases from one to two meetings. (4) The students' response to the Mathematics learning model is positive.

Abstract

The role of mathematics is very important in daily life, therefore the subjects of mathematics are taught in every level of education, from kindergarten to college. This study aims is to describe the mathematical communication ability of grade VIII students of MTs Fatahillah which amounts to 30 students in understanding triangular and rectangular materials. Another aims arevto know students learning osbtacle related to communication skills. Instruments of this study are written test. The results of this study is show that the students difficulties are they do not memorize the formula, interpreting solution mistakes because students does not pay attention to questions, and students difficult to understand about the problem that given to them.
