Abstract

  The people of Arab town Al-Munawwar in Palembang city use ornament to add aesthetic value of their residential buildings. The use of this ornament can be seen from several sides such as door, window, ventilation, wall, partition, pole, and so on. It's also possible that there are messages and meanings that are interesting to be studied from the ornament of Arab town Al-Munawwar traditional house. The study in this research emphasized more on aesthetic value, with the purpose of searching the structure that built and revealing the symbolic value implied in the traditional house ornament of Arab town Al-Munawwar Palembang. Research method used was qualitative method, with analytic descriptive analysis. Those data were then identified, classified, selected, analyzed, and interpreted according to their text and context.

Abstract

Karya tari kontemporer memuatsumber gagasan penciptaan yang dapat merespon aktifitas di masyarakat.  Salah satu aktifitas tersebut yaitu bagaimana merespon aktifitas pencari pensi di danau Singkarak Sumatare Barat. Salahsatu persoalan yang dihadapi dan menarik untuk dijadikan sebagai emphasis penciptaan tersebut adalah dekompresi (gangguan tekanan oksigen) yang dihadapi oleh pencari pensi sewaktu menjalankan aktifitasnya di dalam air. pertunjukan tari ini secara dramaturgi  terhubung melalui hubungan antar material dan keseluruhan elemen. dramaturgi tari sebagai aspek dasar dalam kelengkapan penciptaan suatu karya tari kontemporer perlu dipahami sebagai suatu cara mendekati suatu gagasan dan melalukan proses perwujudannya. Aktifitas para pencari pensi ( sejenis kerang air tawar) di danau Singkarak Sumatera Barat diwujudkan dalam bentuk tari kontemporer berjudul Breath In. Pada proses dan penyajian penggunaan pendekatan ini terdapat upaya menemukan orisinalitas bentuk dan vocabulary ketubuhan berdasarkan observasi tentang aktifitas pencari pensi tersebut.

Abstract

Bentuk lukisan kaligrafi merupakan ekspresi nilai-nilai filosofi ke`taqwa`an, merefleksikan kandungan al-qur`an dan memberi suguhan mendalam akan pentingnya kaidah-kaidah untuk membimbing prilaku, sikap serta norma dalam kehidupan sosial. ?Taqwa adalah melakukan ketaatan kepada Allah di atas cahaya dari Allah karena mengharap pahala Allah, dan meninggalkan maksiat kepada Allah di atas cahaya dari Allah karena takut akan siksaan Allah.? Metode pendekatan dilakukan dengan eksplorasi, perancangan, dan  eksekusi dari perwujudan karya seni, dimana sebelumnya telah melalui studi pustaka, studi empirik dan studi lapangan. Penciptaan karya lukisan kaligrafi mengambil terjemahan Al-qur-an Surat Ali Imran: 102: ?Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, bertaqwalah kepada Allah dengan sebenar-benarnya taqwa kepada-Nya, dan janganlah sekali-kali kalian mati melainkan dalam keadaan beragama Islam.? Abstract

Media of audio recording can be made as the media of learning, whether it's done in the class or outside the class such as study group. Using audio recording in smart phone or hand phone enables the learning of practical tutorial model, and one of them is the learning material of theater art. For art teacher in the school particularly theater teacher, it's very difficult for students to memorize the play script in role playing. When art teacher gives realism play script, main thing responded by students is the difficulty of memorizing the scripts because these scripts written by authors that are very familiar with theater world are full of meaningful literary words. Teacher or trainer reads the script dramatically (dramatic reading while recording). From dramatic reading, it's seen the plot of script dramatically and described the atmosphere in the script wholly. Teacher or trainer hands out recording result to students or actors via WhatsApp, Line, and other applications of social media and students can read the script while listening for the result of teacher's or trainer's recording. Memorizing process will be faster if the students listen to the recording by using handset. Utilizing technology can facilitate theater exercise.

Abstract

One of television shows is the program of documentary film. Documentary film with religious content involving religious thought, religious values, and public figures of a religion has educational values and wisdom made into a description of life. It has the essence of missionary endeavor that has social purpose and function namely producing peaceful, prosperous, happy and safe life. The making of documentary film of missionary endeavor or more often called the production of documentary film of missionary endeavor is the process of film making from the story idea until the production of documentary film of missionary endeavor. In planning a production, a professional producer will be faced on five things that need deep thought namely the material of production, the means of production (equipment), the cost of production (financial), the executive organization of production, and the implementation stage of producing the documentary film of missionary endeavor.

Abstract

Traditional music of terbangan from Palembang city is composed into the composition of new music. It's hoped that this music can be accepted by all circle whether it's old people or young ones. This process involved several art students especially the students of art, drama, dance, music department in the university of PGRI Palembang. The achievement of this art development is that the students obtain the science of composing traditional music and maintaining the tradition of terbangan. The variable of this applied research used the approach of popular music. This composition style has extensive attraction, tends to have many audiences, and is distributed to the public. From the results of this research, it's hoped new creative ideas in the development of traditional music and unique ideas in packaging this new development that have quality in maintaining local image and wisdom appear in the society.Development; Traditional art; New music composition

Abstract

Ratoh Bantai dance is one of traditional dances from South Aceh that has its unique characteristics. According to its name, Ratoh Bantai uses property that is different from ordinary dances in Aceh province namely pillow. In the past, this dance became the popular dance in the society but the appearance of various dances that are more upbeat and energetic make Ratoh Bantai dance starting to become unpopular in the society. This research took the subject “effort of maintaining the existence of Ratoh Bantai dance. The purposes of this research are to know and describe the effort of maintaining the existence of Ratoh Bantai dance. Research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained through observation, interview, and library research. Research result obtained is Buana studio as one of studios that maintain the traditional dance of Ratoh Bantai conducts teaching effort to its protégés in the studio every month so the protégés of Buana studio still know the repertoire of dances in Aceh, especially Ratoh Bantai dance that’s almost forgotten by today young generation. Besides that, this research also described the choreography aspect of Ratoh Bantai dance in Buana studio.

Abstract

This research globally examines sounds and deals with the fact that inland tribes functioned in medical rituals that were transformed into stage art entertainment. Certain sounds and movements by the Inland Tribe in medicine have meaning and importance. Why the sounds were functioned in a medical ritual which was later changed the function of medicine in the interior to stage art. How is the interaction and form in the ritual of treatment that requires sounds. Research wants to give the same social attention to art and culture to the tribal civilization, which is sometimes considered backward. This research answers the social prejudices of the transfer of treatment locations from the interior to the stage art. The research technique / method uses qualitative techniques with studies in ethnomusicology, ethnography, art anthropology and art sociology. In the study found a management system that leads to a new theory of "Performance Art for the transfer of issues regarding the existence of Malay Tribal Culture"; practically building a model of the composition of the art of the Tribal Inland tradition as a consumption of urban communities, in the context of the new art culture in the present. Outcomes Research can conclude the uplift of the Tribal Civilization both in terms of music, other arts and all aspects of art do have values that are worth showing, but on the side or behind it turns out there is a certain mission by parties related to arts and culture in the study area Malay.

Abstract

The forms of calligraphy paintings was expression of philosophical values of taqwa, it reflected the content of the holy Qur'an and giving the deep guidance of the importance of having attitude, behaviour and norms in a social life of human being. "Taqwa is being obeyed to all of Allah regulations cause of the light that comes from Allah almighty and he expects the reward from Allah and he leaves all the sins activities cause of the light of Allah and he fears of the torture from Allah". The method approach that used in this research were exploration, design and execution of the art work, which had previously been done through literature studies, empirical studies and field studies. The creation of calligraphy painting took from the translation of the holy Qur'an by surah Ali Imran verse 102 that stated "O you who believe, fear Allah truly in His piety; and do not ever die except in a Muslim situation. Calligraphy painting was a bridging of taqwa’s values as an expression to public.
