Abstract

The use of composites as an innovative new material is increasing. Composites are made from two or more materials that have different properties. This research was conducted to make multilayer composites and determine the effect of variations in the number of arrangements and the direction of the fiber angles on the physical properties of composites made from ramie fiber and epoxy. The physical properties of the composites analyzed in this study were density, porosity, water absorption, and thickness expansion. The composites in this study were made using the hand layup method with a volume fraction ratio of 30% and the ratio of epoxy and hardener was 2: 1. Before the composite was made, ramie fibers were soaked in 5% NaOH for 2 hours. This study succeeded in making epoxy ramie multilayer composites with variations in the number of arrangements and the direction of the fiber angles. Variations in the number of layers and the direction angle of the ramie fiber in the composite affect the density and porosity of the composite. Variations in the direction of the ramie fiber in the composite affect the water absorption of the composite. Variations in the number and direction of ramie fiber in the composite did not significantly affect the thickness of the composite.

Abstract

Government policy on online learning as an effort to prevent the transmission of the spread of COVID-19 in schools, especially in classrooms. Therefore, this policy creates social restrictions and the exclusion of face-to-face learning systems and will temporarily be replaced by online learning through several digital platforms that have been selected by the teacher and each school. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Activeness and Motivation on Online Learning in Students. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches, researchers distribute questionnaires in the form of google form. Based on the results of research on the relationship of online learning to student learning activeness and motivation in the activeness category, 64% who answered YES and 36% answered no respectively. In the category of motivation, it shows that 78.5% answered YES and 21.5% answered NO. Based on these results, it can be seen that activeness and motivation can influence students in online learning.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of applying the CTL learning model assisted by snakes and ladders media on students' conceptual mastery in pesantren-based schools. This research is a quasi-experimental research with research design using pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of a pesantren-based school in Pamekasan. while the sample consists of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class with the sampling technique using random sampling technique. The sample of the experimental class and control class consisted of 40 students. The experimental class was given the CTL model learning treatment with snakes and ladders media while the control class only applied the CTL model. The instrument used in this research is the student's concept mastery test instrument in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data was collected by means of tests and filling out questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out by using the Independent Sample T Test. The results showed that tcount > ttable with a significance of 0.000 or a significance of <0.05, which means that the snake-and-ladder-assisted model has a significant effect on students' conceptual mastery.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the group investigation type cooperative learning model in improving the science process skills of high school students in material elasticity. The research method used was quasi-experimental and the population used was class XI MIPA one of the public high schools in Tasikmalaya district and the sample used was class XI MIPA 4. The results of this study obtained an effect size value of 3.91 and categorized as high. The t-test of science process skills in students obtained tcount of 26.39 and ttable of 2.86 because tcount> ttable then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the group investigation type cooperative learning model was effective in improving the science process skills of high school students on the elasticity of the material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of students' problem solving skills in direct current electricity in physics subjects which are conducted through Distance Learning (PJJ). This type of research is quantitative research. The research subjects were 26 students of class XII MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The data was collected using a direct current electrical problem solving skills test questions consisting of 6 essay questions. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. From the results of data analysis, it is known that the lowest score is 14 and the highest score is 46, and the average result of the students' problem solving skills test is 37. Meanwhile, the percentage of each student's problem solving stage is classified as very bad. Thus, it was concluded that the problem solving skills of class XII MIPA 7 students on direct current electricity through PJJ were classified as very low criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to produce LKPD products based on Discovery Learning assisted by Software Tracker to improve understanding of the concepts of class X students at SMA Sriguna Palembang that are valid, practical, and have a potential effect on understanding concepts. This study uses a modified Rowntree development model based on formative evaluation. The subjects used in this research are students of class X IPA 2 SMA Sriguna Palembang, as many as 34 students. This research produces: 1) LKPD based on Discovery Learning assisted by Software Tracker which is valid. Based on the research results, the average results of material aspects are 81.33%, learning design aspects are 80% and language aspects are 80%, 2) practicality test results in the one to one stage obtained an average of 93% with a very practical category, 3) the results of the practicality test at the small group stage obtained an average of 87.62% with a very practical category, 4) the field test stage obtained the highest N-Gain value by 64.70% in the high category and the lowest N-Gain value is 35.29% in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aimed to described the effectiveness of the Laboratory-Based Hybrid Project Based Learning Module to improve students' science process skills. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test pre-test design. The research sample was selected randomly from the population of class X TKRO SMKN 1 Manonjaya students. Data analysis was seen from the results of the pre-test pre-test obtained by students, t-test and N-gain to determine the improvement of students' scientific process skills descriptively. The results of the study obtained that the results of the pre-test and post-test of students increased by 37.26%, then the t-test analysis where t_count > t_table obtained a value of 3.54> 1.76 then Ho was rejected so that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. after using the laboratory-based Hybrid Project Based Learning module, it can improve students' science process skills (KPS). However, based on the gain value obtained, 0.3 is still categorized as "medium" because there are several shortcomings during the teaching and learning process (KBM).

Abstract

The type of research used in this research is Pre-Experimental Designs research. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the learning outcomes of students in class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 5 Bone before and after the implementation of online learning with the educational game Quizizz in learning; 2) Describe the improvement in learning outcomes of students in class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 5 Bone before and after the implementation of online learning using the Quizizz educational game in learning. The samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Bone which consisted of 31 students. The data collection technique used in collecting data in this study was by means of a test consisting of a pretest and posttest in the form of multiple choices. The results of the descriptive analysis in this study showed that the scores obtained by students in the posttest were much higher than the scores obtained in the pretest. Where the average score in the pretest is 13.42 with a standard deviation of 4.20, while in the posttest the average score obtained by students is 23.98 with a standard deviation of 4.70. So there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after being taught by applying the Quizizz educational game, where the increase is in the moderate category.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using video-based media on the activities and learning outcomes of physics class X on the subject of temperature and heat at SMK Negeri 1 Grat. As a source of learning, technology is a tool to facilitate learning that is more interesting for students, among the many learning technologies, one of them is video media, which has advantages that are quite good for the implementation of learning. Experimental research used in this research is a quasi-experimental (Quasi Experimental Design) using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This design has a control group, but it cannot function to control external variables that affect the implementation of the experiment. Subject of this research are 25. There is a significant effect of using video-based learning media on students' learning activities. Obtained results, the responsibility of students when using video media with the OBS system application obtained an average of 62,25% at pretest and 82,67% at posttest, it can be concluded that students are more active in the experimental class than in the control class.

Abstract

Physics learning has a central role in developing the 21st century skills that learners must achieve. Physics aksis one of science learning can cultivate and develop 21st century skills through science literacy and science process skills. Science process skills can be trained in the learning of physics through processes in conducting scientific activities and scientific attitudes. But from the initial studies conducted, it was found that the ability of the student's science process in online learning has artistic variety of problems. One alternative to problem solving is to use electronic modules (e-modules) designed to improve students' science process skills in online learning. The methodology used in this study was a quasi-experiment with the design of the posttest only control research design group. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of e-modules of vibration in everyday life on online learning to improve the science process skills of grade X high school students. The effectiveness of e-module use is determined by analyzing the science process skills of experimental classroom and control classes. The significance of the effectiveness of the use of e-modules on aspects of knowledge and skills of the science process is analyzed by tests of normality, homogeneity and t tests. From the analysis of data obtained by the results of the study, the use of vibrational e-modules in everyday life in online learning is effective to improve students' knowledge and skills of the science process.
