Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to identify the competency level of school administration staff (SAS), and (2) to analyze the need of SAS Training. This research was conducted using descriptive method. The population of this research is Junior High School Vocational School Administration of West Sumatera which is spread over 18 districts / cities. The sample of the research was taken by geographic cluster and selected 7 (seven) regions. In detail the sample consisted of 158 school administrative staff and 63 heads of administrative staff. The research instrument is a questionnaire with semantic scale that has been tested validity and reliability empirically and obtained significant results. Data analysis was done descriptively. The results showed that the average of head managerial competence of SAS was 78.86% (in the category capable), technical competence of SAS head of 79.14 (in the category capable), technical competence of SAS of 82.75 (in the able category); Meanwhile, the need for education and training in the development of managerial competence of head of SAS is 83.09 (in need category), technical competence of head of SAS is 82.86 (in need category), and technical competence of SAS is 82.30 (in need category).

Abstract

This policy evaluation research to find out the need, implementation and achievement result of TQM in Vocational High School applying ISO.This research is a policy evaluation research, with qualitative research method. Qualitative research method is a research method used to determine natural condition (naturalistic), where the researchers are as a key instrument, data technique in triangulation. Data analysis with inductive and more.This policy evaluation study examines the TQM policy documents required for schools implementing the ISO. The evaluation model uses the Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP) model developed by Stuffebeam. Component Criteria. From the vision statement. The input components of the curriculum, financing, facilities and infrastructure, educators and educators as well as students, curriculum preparation process components, teaching materials, teaching and learning process and assessment, while product / output components of student satisfaction, student achievement and school performance implements TQM ISO.Research result. TQM ISO-based schools need to be implemented, both schools have the formulation of vision, mission, goals and restra. The input components of all schools have implemented the 2013 curriculum, discipline, sufficient facilities and infrastructure, educators and educators are in accordance with standards and there are standards of acceptance. The process component shows all teachers have been preparing syllabus, lesson plan and teaching materials, and teaching and learning process and assessment according to the standard. Existing Product / Outputs. Students, student achievement and achievement in applying ISO 9001-2008 well.Suggestions of these results are (1) improvements from the TQM ISO understanding for all stakeholders, (2) need also from the same language, and (3) improve the ISO-based TQM with commitment improvement, paradigm shift, mental attitude and organizing the guarantee system quality.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of intelligent comic media combined with the process of learning with scientific approach onstudents’ science competence. The research method used is quasi experimental method with 2x2 factorial design. The study involved four teachers and 112 students of grade 4 from SDN Pertiwi, SDN Polisi 1, SDN Kebon Pedes 1, and SDN Kebon Pedes 5 in Bogor city. The study was conducted in the first half of the academic year 2014/2015. This study concludes that the use of intelligent comics combinedunitedly in the learning process with scientific approach significantly influence the science competence of grade 4 elementary school students on the aspects of knowledge and scientific attitude, but does not significantly affect the competence of science for the aspects of science process skills. This study also concludes that there is no interaction between the learning process as the treatment variable and the involvement of the students in the out-of-school learning guidance (tutorial) as the moderator variable. That is, the influence of the learning process on the students’competence of science on aspects of knowledge and scientific attitudes are not contaminated by the involvement of the students in the guidance of learning.

Abstract

Moral value is essential to be instilled in students through learning in school. Therefore, it is necessary to study model in which there is emphasis moral value during learning, especially through science learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop a model of science-based science moral values in the hope of helping teachers to instill moral values in students. This study uses literature study method with reference sources in the form of books, scientific journals, and websites related to the development of science-based learning moral values.

Abstract

The activity of writing is indispensable in everyday life, both in the life of society and in academic life. The life of the society marked the existence of communication through writing or writing manual recording via social media. The activities of the academic life were marked in writing the existence of communication in various academic activities.
