Abstract

Regression is a data analysis method used to model the relationship between one response variable and one or more predictor variables. In regression modelling, data is often used. In general, the regression model that is often used is simple or multiple regression in modelling where the response variable is quantitative data. The fundamental difference from regression models using quantitative data is the main objective is to estimate the average value of the dependent variable using certain values of the independent variable. Whereas in a regression model with a qualitative dependent variable the main objective is to find the probability of something happening (probability model). One of the development methods of the regression model for data with qualitative response variables is Logistic and Probit regression. The purpose of this study was to compare the best model using binary logistic regression with binary probit regression in the case of Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in Gorontalo City. The research method used is quantitative research methods, with binary logistic regression modelling and binary probit regression. The results showed that the variable that has a significant effect on TPAK Gorontalo City is the open unemployment rate, and the best model between the binary logistic regression model with an AIC value of 1.289 is smaller than the AIC value of the binary Probit regression 1.318, likewise from the R2 value the R2 value for regression is obtained. binary logistic of 12.74%, greater than the R2 value of binary probit regression of 10.70%.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach to analyze the understanding of mathematical concepts on the curved side of the building material. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kabila involving 21 students as research subjects. Indicators used to describe students' understanding of mathematical concepts include (1) restating a concept, (2) Classifying objects according to certain properties according to the concept, (3) Presenting concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, (4) Applying problem-solving concepts or algorithms, written tests. Furthermore, interviews were conducted to deepen information about students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of the analysis showed that the students 'understanding of mathematical concepts on the curved side of the building material was classified as moderate, which was shown by the students' ability that only fulfilled part of the indicators of understanding the measured mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Studies the influence of the MSME sector and regional categorical factors is often overlooked, so in this case a simple regression can be improved through classifying similar data sets and being handled properly. Therefore, to increase understanding of the factors that affect the income of MSMEs, it must be considered by looking at the relationship between the categories of the MSME sector and different districts / cities (regions) especially in Aceh Province. One of the analysis models suitable for MSME data is multilevel regression analysis. The purpose of this multilevel regression analysis is to form a regression model on the amount of MSME income in Aceh Province where individual level 1 business owners with factors of type of business, number of workers and amount of capital, are nested in the level 2 MSME sector, nesting in level 3 districts / cities. The data used are UMKM data obtained from the Aceh Cooperative and UMKM Service. The data were processed and analysed using the R-Studio software. The results showed that the type of mining, agriculture and livestock businesses had a significant negative effect of 5% on the income of MSMEs in Aceh Province, while the types of transportation, capital and labor businesses had a significant positive effect of 5%. The measure of suitability of the 3-level regression model obtained deviance, AIC and BIC, respectively, is 22,571, 22,585 and 22,636.

Abstract

Misalkan G=(V,E) adalah graf terhubung tak trivial. Graf G dikatakan terhubung pelangi jika untuk setiap dua titik x dan y terdapat lintasan pelagi dari x dan y. Bilangan terhubung pelangi didefinisikan sebagai minimum k dari pewarnaan-k pelangi sehingga menghasilkan sebuah lintasan pelangi dengan dua sisi bertetangga memiliki warna yang berbeda dan dinotasikan sebagai rc(G). Misalkan t adalah bilangan asli dengan t=2 dan misalkan {Gi | i E [1,t]} adalah graf terhubung tak trivial dengan setiap Gi mempunyai titik tetap v0i, maka amalgamasi untuk graf G dinotasikan dengan amal(Gi,v0i,t). Amalgamasi merupakan salah satu operasi matematika yang terbentuk dengan merekatkan semua graf Gi pada titik v0i dengan titik v0i merupakan titik terminal. Dalam penelitian ini operan yang digunakan pada operasi amalgamasi adalah graf berlian dengan notasi amal(Brn,v,t) dengan t=2.

Abstract

The pandemic era changes all components of life, including the teaching and learning process as well. Changes from conventional learning to distance learning. Writing this article aims to determine the increasing student activeness in mathematics Long Distance Learning Process that is being carried out during this Covid pandemic. This research method is descriptive and observational in classroom action research. The sample was students of SMK Negeri 1 Jetis Mojokerto with 32 students. The data were collected by giving the task of submitting problems assisted by Edmodo. Data analysis was carried out in 2 stages. The first is done by looking at the number of student answers uploaded in Edmodo. The second analysis was carried out by looking at the questions made and the resulting answers. The results of the resulting data analysis showed that as many as 22 students uploaded their math problem submission assignments, meaning that the students were active in PJJ. Students can make the second analysis of 48 questions, and the solution can also be determined properly. The results showed that by using the task of posing problems, students could be more active in the distance learning carried out.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of learned through the Problem-Centered Learning (PCL) approach on the Pythagorean Theorem subject. This study was quantitative descriptive. In this study, the effectiveness of learning through Problem-Centered Learning (PCL) approach on the subject of the Pythagorean Theorem based on teacher’s ability is managed learned through Problem-Centered Learning approach, student’s activities during learning through Problem-Centered Learning approach, student’s response after the following learning through Problem-Centered Learning approach, and student’s learned achievement. The data collection methods in this study were conducted through observation with observed sheets, tests, and questionnaires. The result of the research showed that learned through the Problem-Centered Learning approach on the Pythagorean Theorem subject was effective. This can be shown from Every aspect of the teacher’s ability to learn through the Problem-Centered Learning approach that satisfied the criteria of effectiveness with the good and very good category. Student’s activities through Problem-Centered Learning approach in learning were in the tolerance limit criteria so that categorization was effective. Student’s responses after implementation learned through the Problem-Centered Learning approach satisfied the criteria for effectiveness, with 87% of student's responses belonging in positive. Student learning achievement showed that satisfied minimum standard scored, 19 of 23 students or 82.61% got 2.75 scored or more.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' metaphorical thinking ability on the subject sequences and series. The research was conducted using a descriptive method involving 32 students of SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo Utara as research subjects. The instrument used was an essay test to obtain data on metaphorical thinking skills and interviews to complement and strengthen the information that came from giving tests on the subject sequence and series. The data analysis technique used is in the form of a percentage with standard deviation categorization criteria, to determine the level of students' metaphorical thinking ability. The results of the analysis showed that the students' metaphorical thinking ability in the subject sequences and series were in the medium category.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe students' critical thinking abilities carried out by online learning. This research was conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri Widyakrama involving 23 students as research subjects. Data collection was obtained from validated essay test instruments. The test instrument was used to collect data on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities with indicators (a) problem identification (b) analysis, (c) synthesis, and (d) drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' critical thinking abilities implemented through online learning at Widyakrama State Middle School were in the medium category. This is shown based on the classification of critical thinking abilities of 23 respondents. There are only 5 students who are in the high category, 14 students are in the medium category, and 4 other students are in a low category.

Abstract

Kerusakan sumber daya hutan merupakan masalah lingkungan yang terjadi hampir diseluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia. Untuk melihat dinamika kerusakan hutan di Indonesia, kami melakukan penelitian dengan memperhatikan faktor kepadatan populasi, kegiatan industri, dan kebakaran hutan sebagai penyebab kerusakan hutan. Hal ini dilakukan dengan memodelkan dalam bentuk model matematika berupa sistem persamaan diferensial. Dari model tersebut diperoleh dua jenis titik tetap yaitu titik tetap bebas gangguan (E1) yang merupakan kondisi dimana hutan belum dipengaruhi oleh faktor apapun dan titik tetap ada gangguan (E2, E3 dan E4) yang merupakan kondisi dimana hutan telah dipengaruhi oleh kepadatan populasi, industrialisasi dan kebakaran hutan. Dari titik-titik tetap tersebut akan diketahui kestabilan setiap kondisi yang ada. Selanjutnya untuk melihat pengaruh dari faktor-faktor tersebut terhadap hutan Indonesia, dilakukan simulasi model dan diperoleh hasil bahwa kondisi hutan Indonesia sangatlah tergantung dari keempat faktor tersebut.

Abstract

This research aims to produce good mathematics learning media for Simple Interest Rate and Compound Interest Rates and find out the media's response and role towards students. This type of research is development research that begins with the development of web-based media. The development model used is a modified Four-D (4D) development model, namely the definition stage, the design stage, and the development stage. The research subjects were students of the Gorontalo State University mathematics study program. The results showed that the quality of the media based on the results of the validation by media experts was very valid. Students give a positive response. This shows that learning media can be used in the learning process, and learning media can increase student understanding.
