Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of digital literacy skills and learning motivation on students' online learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). The approach used in this study is quantitative with the data collection technique being a survey model. The sample includes 52 students, along with the corresponding teacher, from MTs Nurul Falah. The correlation data analysis is conducted using SPSS 25 software. The findings reveal a significant influence of digital literacy skills and learning motivation on online learning outcomes. Specifically, digital literacy skills account for a 90% influence on the online learning outcomes of MTs Nurul Falah students, while learning motivation accounts for an 88% influence. Moreover, the combined impact of both variables on online learning outcomes is 82%. The implications of this study underscore the necessity of enhancing digital literacy skills and nurturing learning motivation in online Fiqh courses at MTs Nurul Falah to improve students' learning outcomes. This can be accomplished through adequate training and support for students and teachers to develop digital literacy skills and learning motivation. Additionally, it is crucial to address the internal factors influencing students' digital literacy. Moreover, addressing factors such as technical issues and student motivation within the online learning environment is equally essential for optimizing online learning experiences.

Abstract

Professional education courses such as microteaching are currently placing greater emphasis on reflective activities, particularly in the context of the new paradigm curriculum in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to investigate the ability of prospective teachers to reflect on their microteaching experiences, the common aspects discussed during reflection activities, and the peer feedback provided regarding lesson plan design and implementation within a microteaching setting. The study employs a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design and spans 13 weeks with 122 teacher candidates who participated in a flipped learning setting. Flipped learning was chosen as the instructional model to potentially enhance the level of collaboration in learning activities. Results revealed that flipped learning can indeed foster a collaborative environment among prospective teachers. Further, the most commonly identified aspect appearing in the reflections was the modeling of teaching techniques, outweighing other aspects such as classroom management, learning tools, lesson duration, pedagogical strategies, and student learning processes. These findings offer valuable insights for prospective teachers, particularly regarding feedback and reinforcement practices in microteaching. Moreover, this research suggests that flipped learning could be a promising approach to cultivating these practices. Future studies are recommended to further investigate the potential of different instructional models in enhancing reflection and collaboration among teacher candidates.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine students' conceptions of Work and Energy in relation to the Indonesian Capital City in East Kalimantan, using the Four-Tier Test of Work and Energy (FORTUNE) Open-Ended. The 4D methodology was followed, involving defining, designing, developing, and disseminating the research. The FORTUNE test, comprising 13 questions, was administered to 70 tenth-grade students (44 girls and 26 boys) aged 15 to 16. Rasch analysis was applied to categorize student responses into seven distinct categories: Sound Understanding (SU), Partial Positive (PP), Partial Neutral (P0), Partial Negative (PN), Misconception (MC), No Understanding (NU), and No Coding (NC). The results revealed that FORTUNE effectively diagnosed students' conceptions, with 61% of responses falling into the Misconception (MC) category, while only 3% were classified as Partial Positive (PP). Notably, students displayed misconceptions in questions of moderate difficulty, as indicated by Rasch analysis. In conclusion, this study successfully developed and implemented the FORTUNE Open-Ended test to assess students' conceptions of Work and Energy in the context of the Indonesian Capital City in East Kalimantan. The findings highlight the prevalence of misconceptions among students, particularly in questions of moderate difficulty. Addressing and rectifying these misconceptions require targeted instructional strategies to foster a deeper and more accurate understanding of the topic. Future research should explore the effectiveness of intervention programs aimed at enhancing students' conceptual understanding of Work and Energy.

Abstract

In learning, students should possess the capability to manage their learning effectively to achieve optimal outcomes. Consequently, self-regulated learning becomes crucial for students, encompassing not only general subjects but also religious studies. This research investigates the influence of Personality Type, Spiritual Intelligence, and Social Support on Self-Regulated Learning at Al-Nahdlah Islamic Boarding School. Employing a quantitative method, this study adopts a correlation approach. The sampling technique utilized is probability sampling, specifically stratified random sampling. From 116 students at Al-Nahdlah Islamic Boarding School, a sample of 56 was chosen. For validation, this research employs Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using the Lisrel 8.7 software. Subsequent data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis in the SPSS software. Findings indicate a significant influence of Personality Type, Spiritual Intelligence, and Social Support on Self-Regulated Learning among Al-Nahdlah Islamic Boarding School students. The combined contribution of these independent variables to Self-Regulated Learning is 29.0%, leaving 71.0% influenced by other factors. Thus, Personality Type, Spiritual Intelligence, and Social Support significantly impact students' self-regulated learning capabilities. By enhancing students' spiritual intelligence, understanding their personality types, and strengthening their social support networks, institutions can better foster self-regulated learning capabilities, leading to improved academic outcomes and holistic student development.
