Abstract

Basan Kulon, Desa Sambi Kecamatan Sambirejo, Kabupaten Sragen merupakan daerah dengan predikat zona merah tentang kesejahteraan masyarakatnya. Dusun ini terletak Di kaki gunung Lawu sehingga secara geografis terletak di dataran tinggi dan perbukitan. Wilayah ini tidak dilalui jalur PUAM Pemerintah, sehingga untuk mendapatkan air bersih harus mengandalkan air sungai yang dialirkan menggunakan pipa PVC dengan jarak 5 km dari dukuh tersebut. Pada saat musim kemarau warga kesulitan mencari air karena sungainya kering, sedangkan saat musim penghujan air sungai menjadi keruh kerena telah terkontaminasi dengan air hujan. Kondisi ini telah terulang terus menerus setiap tahun dan belum ada solusi. Bak penampung akan berfungsi untuk media penampungan sementara saat musim penghujan sehingga air menjadi tidak keruh dan pada musim kemarau dapat menjadikan tampungan dengan kapasitas besar, baik air cadangan dari sungai ataupun bantuan/swadaya pembelian air melalui tangki dari pemda sehingga masyarakat dapat mengalirkan air setiap saat. Dengan peningkatan kualitas air bersih yang digunakan oleh warga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf kesehatan dan menjadikan lingkungan Dusun Basan Kulon lebih produktif.

Abstract

PT. Mitra Karya Utama (MKU) adalah salah satu industri pengecoran logam di Ceper yang menggunakan pasir cetak greensand sebagai bahan cetakan utama dalam pembuatan produk utamanya yaitu Silinder Linier. Produk ini dipesan oleh konsumen secara terus menerus (kontinyu) dan berkelanjutan. Kendala yang dihadapi, dalam proses produksi silinder linier ini mengalami kendala yang mempengaruhi hasil produk silinder linier. Cacat produk tersebut mengakibatkan kurang baik dan kurang berkwalitasnya produk tersebut dan mengakibatkan kerugian. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk mengatasi masalah produksi dan meningkatkan mutu produk. Program dilaksanakan dengan melakukan aplikasi penggunaan face sand pada cetakan produk. Penggunaan facesand dilakukan dengan membina operator industri mitra. Hasil yang diperolah adalah penerapan facesand pada cetakan mampu meningkatkan kuantitas produksi dan menurunkan rejek produk menjadi 10%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) skala mikro sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi dan menganalisis kelayakan produk media pembelajaran PLTB skala mikro dari hasil validasi ahli dan pengguna. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model product and tool research bagian tool development and use. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) yang mengontrak mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi. Pengambilan data terdiri dari 3 ahli materi, 3 ahli media dan 13 pengguna (mahasiswa) dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah : (1) Pengembangan produk berupa PLTB skala mikro menghasilkan karakteristik dengan ukuran 100 x 100 x 160 cm (P x L x T) yang bisa dibongkar pasang, output daya yang dihasilkan 14,73 volt, beban (lampu LED) yang menyala 10 watt, dan menggunakan 3 propeler yang terbuat dari material kayu pinus, dan (2) Analisis kelayakan oleh validasi ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Mesin Konversi Energi.

Abstract

Pada penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning menggunakan metode Tutor Sebaya pada siswa kelas XI Teknik Pengelasan SMKS Yabhinka. Pada saat proses penelitian ini menggunakan sample siswa kelas XI Teknik Pengelasan yang terbagi menjadi dua kloter yang menggunakan pembelajaran Hybrid Learning, dan salah satu kelompok ditambahkan dengan Metode Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya. Desain pembelajaran yang diterapkan yaitu Desain Pembelajaran ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik observasi terstruktur dan menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penilaian Hasil Las dengan menggunakan Lembar hasil Uji Penetrant. Proses Pengambilan Instrumen data dilakukan 1 kali setelah melalui proses pembelajaran 10 Pertemuan. Dalam penelitian ini didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa Metode Tutor Sebaya pada Siswa Kelas XI Teknik Pengelasan SMKS Yabhinka sangat cocok dilakukan pada Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan perbandingan hasil las antara kelompok 1 yang hanya menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning dan Kelompok 2 dengan menggunakan kolaborasi antara Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning dan Metode Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya. Kelompok 1 yang hanya menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning tidak ada sample yang mendapatkan kategori diterima. Sedangkan pada sample Kelompok 2 dengan menggunakan kolaborasi antara Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning dan Metode Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya mendapatkan kategori diterima

Abstract

Thermal energy storage has a good opportunity to be applied in engineering field, especially for low temperature application like automotive thermal management system. Paraffinic is a better option and considered as a good phase change material with main advantages like economically feasible, non-corrosive and safe. The main drawbacks of paraffinic system are low thermal conductivity and supercooling effect. The effort to improve the performance for paraffinic system is by g sensible material. Considering the spread of volcano in Indonesia, it can be used as sensible material for paraffinic system. The aim of the research is to examine the volcanic ash characteristic and the effect of sand addition on the paraffinic system. a standardized approach for sand examination is done and the effect of the hybrid PCM (90% paraffin and 10% volcanic ash mass ratio) are studied. The overall performance of hybrid PCM is better than pure paraffin where the vapor point of hybrid PCM is increased and there is no supercooling phenomenon observed.

Abstract

Metal Casting Industry has a classic problem in handling the production process and quality assurance. This research aims to provide solutions to solve the problems of the metal casting industry by introducing and applying 3D printers with a fused deposit material system. this technology is used to streamline the production process of cast patterns. The process of making a casting pattern usually takes 70% of the total production time of a cast product. The purpose of this study is to examine the application of making cast patterns with a 3D printer with a fused deposit material system. The research methods carried out are (1) create of 3D CAD cast patterns, (2) conversion to STL format, (3) 3D printer setup, (4) printing process, (5) analysis, (6) conclusions. The results obtained are a 3D printer with a fused deposit material system that can be used to make cast patterns. From the analysis of the accuracy of the cast pattern with the 3D printer has a difference in size ranging from 0.2 mm. As for the analysis of the quality of the geometry, the results of the cast pattern of the 3D printer with the fused deposit material system have a good shape but lack results on the surface. Thus a 3D printer with a fused deposit material system is suitable for making cast patterns because it has a consistent tendency and ease in making cast patterns. This opens up opportunities for continued development of 3D printers in the metal casting industry sector.

Abstract

3D printer is a rapid prototyping technology that has developed rapidly in this decade. 3D printers use STL files derived from 3D CAD drawings as input data for the processing. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the resolution of the STL file used on the quality of the geometry and dimensions of the product produced. This research was conducted by using 2 types of STL file resolution created with Autodesk Inventor. The results of this study are that there is an influence of the resolution of the STL file used on the quality of the geometry and dimensions of the product being made. the quality of the product geometry has different geometric shapes in the radius. Whereas in the aspect of the product dimension obtained a product dimension accuracy of 0.02 sampai 0.8 mm.

Abstract

Cast patterns are replicas of objects used as a reference in the casting process. Making cast patterns is still dominated by conventional processes using wood. This study aims to compare the conventional wood cast patterns with cast patterns made using a 3D printer. This research was conducted by making cast pattern products using conventional methods and 3D printers. Conventional pattern making uses a woodworking process while the 3D printer pattern uses a 3D printer stereolithography (SLA) system. Conventional cast patterns and 3D printer products are then compared in terms of geometric quality and size precision. The results obtained are the cast patterns made with a 3D printer have an advantage in precision the size is better than conventional patterns. As for the quality of the geometry and surface roughness both methods have good results. this opens the opportunity to conduct a more in-depth review of 3D printer applications in the metal casting sector

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has the potential to develop solar energy. In Indonesia, there is a tool that functions to convert solar energy into electrical energy called photovoltaic. The research uses monocrystalline solar panels because they are the most efficient and produce the highest electrical power per unit area. This research aims to analyze the comparison of solar cells, which are arranged in series and parallel to the output power. Researchers made direct observations of the field and studied after getting some data from the measurement results. Then conclude from the results of this observation. Sampling was researched on the output of solar panels located at BBPLK Serang. The method used is the comparative analysis method, by comparing the differences and similarities of an event. The voltage and currently issued by a series of solar panels is 35.77V and 3.18A. The results of the voltage and presently published by a parallel series of solar panels are 17,69V and 6.38 A. The power is produced by a series circuit of 113.75atts and a parallel circuit of 112,86Watts. From the output power results, the series circuit is 0,89Watts greater than the parallel circuit. Judging from the advantages and disadvantages, it is better to install PLTS Off-Grid installations in parallel. If damage to damaged components is damaged, it will be easier to inspect, and several other panels can still function properly, so electricity continues to flow.

Abstract

Hydropower on the lowest scale namely propeller pico-hydro, the turbine has a light workload so that allows it to be made from polymer materials with rapid manufacturing 3D printing technology.  In the design of the propeller turbine, the most concerned loading is the axial load which results in failure. A failure of designing the dimensions of the propeller turbine with polymer materials causes a fracture in the blades. This study aims to analyze how the effect of blade thickness on the performance of a propeller water turbine. Data collection in this study uses numerical simulation through computational fluid dynamics using SolidWorks Flow Simulation with the blade thickness variable used 1 mm to 3 mm with a fillet size 1.5 mm. Based on the results, the thickness of the blade affects the value of static torque. At a blade thickness of 2 mm, it shows the most optimal torque value compared to a thickness value below or above 2 mm.
