Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to develop a questionnaire of multicultural education implementation in learning at elementary schools. As a preliminary study, this research target is to identify a factor(s) underlying questionnaire items. Questionnaire was developed based on four of five dimension of multicultural education proposed by James Banks in four point Likert Scale. Data were collected from 150 elementary school teachers employed in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. In order to achieve above goal, exploratory factor analysis was conducted through maximum likelihood method with promax extraction procedure. Eigenvalues greater than 1 and scree test were used to retain a factor(s) underlying items construct. Whereas Cronbach’s alpha is used to determine questionnaires reliability. This research found that from 54 items, there are 29 items valid for 6 factors of multicultural education dimensions with item load 0.40 or larger and 0.878 Cronbach’s alpha. These 6 factors are critical thinking practices for student, opportunity for student to reduces prejudice, cultural diversity as a learning resource, equality in learning opportunity, teacher’s knowledge about students’ cultural background, and encouragement for students learning initiatives. Based on this result, researcher suggests for further research to clarify and test those six factors by engaging larger sample size.Key Words: assessment of multicultural education implementation, elementary school Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kuesioner implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Sebagai studi pendahuluan, sasaran penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendasari butir kuesioner. Kuesioner dikembangkan berdasarkan empat dari lima dimensi pendidikan multikultural yang diajukan oleh James Banks dalam empat titik Skala Likert. Data dikumpulkan dari 150 guru sekolah dasar di Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, analisis faktor eksploratori dilakukan melalui metode maximum likelihood dengan prosedur ekstraksi promax. Eigenvalues lebih besar dari 1 dan scree test digunakan untuk mempertahankan butir yang mendasari item construct. Sedangkan alpha Cronbach digunakan untuk menentukan reliabilitas kuesioner. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dari 54 item, ada 29 item yang valid untuk 6 faktor dimensi pendidikan multikultural dengan item load 0,40 atau lebih besar dan 0,878 alpha Cronbach. Keenam faktor ini adalah praktik berpikir kritis bagi siswa, kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengurangi prasangka, keragaman budaya sebagai sumber belajar, persamaan dalam kesempatan belajar, pengetahuan guru tentang latar belakang siswa, dan dorongan untuk inisiatif belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengklarifikasi dan menguji keenam faktor tersebut dengan melibatkan ukuran sampel yang lebih besar.Kata kunci: penilaian pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural, sekolah dasar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model with instructional video media on the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences fifth-grade students at SDN 9 Ampenan in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This type of research is an experimental research design with a Quasi-Experimental type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was all students of class V SDN 9 Ampenan consisting of classes V/A, V/B, and V/C totaling 93 students. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 61 students. Data collection methods are observation, test, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with a normality test, a homogeneity test, and a hypothesis test using the Independent Sample T-test formula. Based on the post-test results obtained the average value of science learning outcomes of students in the experimental class of 83.28 while the average value in the control class was 77.76. So the average experimental class is higher than the control class. Hypothesis testing at a significant level of 5% yields a t-value of 2,140 and a table of 2,000. Based on the test criteria if tcount > ttable (2,140 > 2,000), then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model with instructional video media on the learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students of SDN 9 Ampenan in the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the influence of Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model on students’ understanding concept of natural science grade III SDN Cluster I Sandubaya in Academic Year 2019/2020. This study is an experimental study using a quasi-experimental design type nonequivalent control group design. The subject has chosen purposively from grade III SDN at Cluster I Sandubaya that is SDN 48 Cakranegara totaling 47 students. The data collected by observation and test. The data analyzed by an independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the statistically obtained value t-count of 4,547 > t-table of 2,014. Besides that, it is known that the average value of the post-test in the experimental class was 82,591, while the average value of the post-test control class was 70,142. Thus it can be concluded that there is influence of Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model on students’ understanding concept of natural science grade III SDN Cluster I Sandubaya in Academic Year 2019/2020.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan karakteristik keefektifan Quantum Teaching serta menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keefektifan Quantum Teaching dalam pembelajaran siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) karakteristik keefektifan Quantum Teaching dalam proses pembelajaran terdiri dari 8 karakteristik diantaranya: pembelajaran Quantum lebih bersifat humanistis, interaksi pembelajaran lebih menjadi bermakna, menghilangkan segala sesuatu yang menghambat keberhasilan pembelajaran dan mempertahankan segala sesuatu yang mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran, siswa aktif berdiskusi dan menyampaikan pendapat, meningkatkan hasil belajar, memusatkan perhatian pada interaksi yang bermutu dan bermakna, mengutamakan keberagaman dan keberhasilan sebagai kunci interaksi, dan komunikasi yang jernih. 2) faktor yang mempengaruhi keefektifan Quantum Teaching dalam proses pembelajaran terdiri dari 5 faktor di antaranya yaitu; media pembelajaran yang menarik, keterampilan mengajar guru, gaya mengajar, bina suasana, dan strategi belajar mengajar (SBM). Guru hendaknya guru harus memahami karakteristik siswa dan materi agar model pembelajaran yang digunakan sesuai serta dapat menjadikan pembelajaran yang efektif terlebih ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the challenges faced by teachers in implementing the learning assessments in inclusive class at SDN I Gemel and SDN Batutulis. This research used a qualitative approach with Narrative Inquiry as a type of research. The data collection techniques were collected from interviews, observation guidelines, and documentation. This research used Milles and Huberman’s theory in analyzing the data. The results showed that the challenges faced by teachers included challenges that related to students, challenges related to teachers, and challenges related to the instrument and learning assessment techniques. Some of these challenges were influenced by several factors, such as 1. Initial identification factors. 2. Teacher competency factors. 3. Curriculum factors. 4. Facility and infrastructure factors. 5. Parents factors. 6. Internal factors or personality of students with special needs. It can be concluded that teachers at SDN I Gemel and SDN Batutulis faced some challenges in implementing learning assessments in inclusive class due to several factors. The teachers had some strategies in facing these challenges, such as 1. Involving regular students as volunteers for helping special needs students. 2. Modifying the instrument and evaluation techniques 3. Study groups. 4. Identifying special needs students regularly. 5. Flexibility of time. 6. Upgrading the teacher’s ability in implementing the assessments of special needs students in the inclusive class.

Abstract

The use of the lecture method causes low participation, student progress, student attention, and interest cannot be monitored. The inactivity of students during the learning process is one of the factors that can cause students to difficult to understand the concept of material. If this happens it can result in less than optimal learning outcomes obtained. The type of research used is True-experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest control group Design type. The independent variable in this study is the PQ4R model with a scientific approach. While the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The population in this study were students of class VIII. The sample of this research is a class of 25 students. Determination of the sample using a cluster type random sampling technique. Data collection instruments include lesson plans, observation sheets of student activities, observation widths of teacher activities, pre-test, and post-test learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used an independent sample t-test which was previously tested by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method with the help of SPSS for windows version 17.0. The results showed: (1) The teacher can carry out PBM activities well and in accordance with the learning plan in accordance with the syntax. (2) Student activities are in accordance with what is expected from the frequency of the many activities that illustrate PBM with the PQ4R strategy with a scientific approach. This shows that the PQ4R strategy can affect student learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan Media Video Online terhadap hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik kelas III di SDN 15 Cakranegara tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode True- Experimental Design type Non- Equivalent Control Grup Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD dengan jumlah 45 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sample dengan ukuran sample kelas yang parallel yaitu ; kelas Experimen IIIB 23 siswa dan kelas control IIIA 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes pilihan ganda dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis uji t-test dengan menggunakan polled varians. Hasil analisis data dengan dengan menggunakan t-test dengan taraf signifikan 5% (0,05) menunjukan bahwa t hitung = 1,65 sedangkan t tabel = 2,016 sehingga nilai t hitung = 1,65 < t tabel = 2,016, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak yang berarti tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan media video online terhadap hasil belajar Matematika siswa kelas III SDN 15 Cakranegara tahun ajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of picture word inductive model on storytelling skill of third grade SDN in Labuapi IV group academic year 2018/2019. This research is a quantitative study with quasi-experimental and nonequivalent control group design. The population is all of class III students in Labuapi IV group. The technique of collecting data using the storytelling skill test directly and observation. The conclusion obtained in this study is the picture word inductive model have high influential toward the storytelling skill of third grade students in SDN Labuapi in academic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Characteristics of high achiever students are different from middle and low achiever students. Teachers and schools need to understand the unique characteristics of high achiever students in terms of their wellbeing. Aim of this research is to describe source of wellbeing for high achiever students. The research was conducted through survey using questionnaire adapted from Huebner’s Multidimensional Student’s Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS). The questionnaire filled by 428 students in grade IV-VI in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, which are at top ten rank of their class. Data then analyzed by performing exploratory factor analysis. This research found that there are two factors as source of wellbeing for high achiever students, that are physical and psychological safety and the availability of support for student personal growth. Physical and psychological safety refers to school environment that protects students from psychological and physical threats. Whereas the availability of support for personal growth refers to how schools provide environment in order to facilitate students’ cognitive and social development. This research suggest that high achiever students call for teachers and school personnel to create school environment by considering students opportunities to develop their potentials without feeling threatened.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih dosen dan mahasiswa khususnya di lingkungan program studi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar dalam penyiapan dan penyesuaian format artikel (template) menggunakan Program LaTeX, serta mengetahui respons peserta pelatihan terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan secara dalam jaringan (daring). Di awal kegiatan peserta diberikan pre-test untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan awal peserta pelatihan dalam penyesuaian format artikel (template) dan di akhir kegiatan peserta pelatihan juga diberikan post-test dan angket respons mengenai tingkat kepuasan peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil respons peserta sangat positif berkaitan dengan pemahaman peserta kegiatan dalam penggunaan program LaTeX dalam proses penyesuaian format artikel (template) dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 6,4% dari 76,9% menjadi 83,3%. Umpan balik dari peserta pelatihan yaitu sebagian besar peserta mengharapkan terdapat pelatihan dan pendampingan selanjutnya dengan waktu dan intensitas pendampingan yang lebih panjang.
