Abstract

The advancement of technology make automotive industry has to improve rapidly, it causes the training for technicians must be update continuously, so it confuses some instructors it caused some of these trainings often ineffective, they are not what the company truly needs. This study aims to analyze the needs to make an effective training in the automotive industry. This method was developed to minimize errors that would occur while develop a training for technicians. This study used a qualitative approach, the data to be studied were collected through interviews with technicians and instructors, literature review also used in this study. The results of this study is to produce a needs analysis method that considers aspects of learning according to context in order to keep up with technology advancement. A training can be effective if the needs of the company were fulfilled, utilizing learning facilities that company already has can also increase the training development process. The contribution of the results of this research to the field of educational technology is a method for analyzing training needs specifically for technicians in order to assist other researchers in field of educational technology to develop training for technicians.

Abstract

Traffic safety training whose material needed a concrete visualization aspect. To accommodate this, teaching materials were needed to support the learning process. This study aims to describe the results of needs analysis which is the first step of the Research & Development process conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done by conducting research through documentation, observation, and interviews. The results of the needs analysis have been found several problems, that is the heterogeneous characteristics from training participants, limited experience of training participants, limited training time, lack of teaching materials, and training implementation locations throughout Indonesia. Hyper content-based printing modules are a great alternative because they can bring related factual aspects of traffic safety to training participants. In the next research, it is expected to develop a hyper content-based traffic safety training module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran hypercontent untuk mahasiswa asal daerah 3T di STKIP Surya, dengan metode Research and Development dan model Derek Rowntree. Makna hypercontent diadopsi dari cara membaca secara digital yang bersifat non-linear. Modul hypercontent menggabungkan antara hypertext, hypermedia, dan hyperlink menjadi satu bagian sehingga mampu memperkaya isi materi pada modul. Berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap 50 mahasiswa mengenai kebutuhan modul didapatkan hasil 92% mahasiswa menyatakan membutuhkan modul pembelajaran. Selanjutnya hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli materi didapatkan hasil 72.6 atau layak, uji ahli media didapatkan hasil 82.9 atau sangat layak, uji ahli desain pembelajaran didapatkan hasil 91.25 atau sangat layak. Untuk uji one to one dilakaukan terhadap tiga mahasiswa dengan hasil rata-rata 97.47 atau sangat layak. Selanjutnya uji efektivitas didapatkan hasil uji t dengan nilai t tabel -10.130 < -2.2 artinya H0 ditolak dan keputusan modul pembelajaran hypercontent sangat efektif digunakan sebagai bahan belajar mandiri oleh mahasiswa.

Abstract

This article aimed at illustrating how students’ personalities (introvert and extrovert) affects their learning outcomes of chemistry subject when the teacher employs two learning models, i.e. inside-outside circle and snowball throwing. This research uses quantitative approach, particularly quasi experiment. The result of the research showed that the learning outcomes of chemistry by extrovert students were higher when using inside-outside circle learning model compared to snowball throwing. On the other hand, the learning outcomes of introvert students who studied chemistry were higher when using snowball throwing learning model compared to inside-outside circle. The finding of this research that shows the learning outcomes differences regarding students’ personalities are interesting to be considered by the teachers in selecting and developing learning activities in classroom to improve the students’ learning outcomes optimally. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pengaruh kepribadian siswa (introvert dan ekstrovert) terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran Kimia di antara dua model pembelajaran, yaitu inside-outside circle dan snowball throwing. Penelitian ini berpendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan kuasi eksperimen semu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar Kimia dari siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran inside-outside circle lebih tinggi dibanding ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing. Di sisi lain, siswa yang berkepribadian introvert ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing hasil belajarnya lebih tinggi dibandingkan ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran inside-outside circle. Temuan yang menunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar dilihat dari faktor kepribadian ini menarik sebagai pertimbangan guru dalam memilih dan mengembangkan pembelajaran di kelas agar hasil belajarnya lebih optimal.

Abstract

Filsafat dan ilmu sosial merupakan upaya manusia dalam memahami suatu konsep dan metode dari sebuah disiplin ilmu yang ada di masyarakat. Perubahan zaman dan perkembangan telah mengantar filsafat ke suatu konfigurasi dengan menunjukkan bagaimana “pohon ilmu pengetahuan” bertumbuh mekar dan bercabang secara subur dari masing-masing disiplin ilmu. Tujuan penelitian ini menelaah filsafat dan ilmu pengetahuan serta relevansinya di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode hermeneutik dalam menjelaskan realitas yang terjadi dengan unsur-unsur interpretasi dan deskripsi. Filsafat dan ilmu sosial sangat diperlukan kehadirannya di tengah perkembangan IPTEK yang ditandai dengan menajamnya spesialisasi ilmu pengetahuan, karena dengan mempelajari filsafat para ilmuwan diharapkan akan dapat menyadari atas keterbatasan dirinya agar tidak terperangkap ke dalam sikap arogansi intelektual. Counter discourse terhadap perkembangan IPTEK tidak dapat dilakukan, melainkan untuk dapat mengurangi dampak negatif dari adanya teknologi itu sendiri. Di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang terdiri dari kelompok masyarakatnya heterogen, sehingga sangat kompleks timbul masalah-masalah terkait berkembangnya teknologi dan dapat mengubah pola pikir kehidupan manusia ke pola kehidupan yang lebih canggih dengan tenaga teknologi seperti robot dan internet. Maka, keilmuan yang dijadikan sebagai tonggak aksiologis dalam mengarahkan, mengendalikan perkembangan IPTEK secara positif untuk kepentingan umat manusia dan lingkungannya adalah filsafat dan ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a simulation model of multimedia products in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects in SMK, to test the feasibility and effectiveness of multimedia with a simulation module developed for use in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects. This study uses the Bergman & Moore development model. The feasibility test was obtained based on expert studies conducted by material experts as well as media and learning design experts. Expert review is used to see the feasibility of multimedia and improve multimedia. After the multimedia was improved, it was then tested on class X SMK students. Media and instructional design experts gave suggestions on the product to add material conclusions and the placement of learning objectives and multimedia could be used for learning after going through the revision process. Then the material expert on this multimedia stated that the material was adequate and could be used for learning. The results of the feasibility test show that the multimedia with the simulation model developed is in the very feasible category with an average value of 83.7%. The effectiveness test was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test to class X SMK students with analysis using the N-Gain formula. The results of the effectiveness test showed that the average score of students before using multimedia was 51.33 and after using multimedia was 78.67. Based on the N-gain value of 0.59 or in percent is 59% with a fairly effective category, learning using multimedia can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Current technological developments encourage the development of many electronic modules that affect the learning process. The problem of learning mathematics obtained lies in learning outcomes that are not optimal, one of the causes is the lack of learning resources used and limited study time. With the use of electronic modules, material can be presented in various ways, giving students the flexibility to study independently without being bound by time and place. So that it allows students to improve their learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the electronic module on cognitive learning outcomes in the flat-sided wake-up material. The research approach used is quantitative. The type of research used is pre-Experimental. The design used in this research is One Group Pretest-Posttest. The research subjects were class VIII students, totalling 32 students with 14 males and 18 females. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews, and tests. The test instrument used was in the form of an objective test with a total of 10 items. The analysis of improving learning outcomes was analyzed using the N-Gain formula. N-Gain is used to calculate the increase in learning outcomes. Based on the N-gain analysis, student learning outcomes show a value of 0.61 or in percent is 61% with a fairly effective category. So learning by using the electronic mathematics module is quite effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Elemen penting difusi inovasi salah satunya adalah saluran komunikasi. Setiap saluran komunikasi memiliki etika dan strategi komunikasinya masing-masing dalam upaya memengaruhi anggota suatu sistem sosial tertentu dalam mengadopsi tidaknya suatu inovasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis urgensi peran etika berkomunikasi pimpinan dalam proses difusi inovasi pembelajaran digital dilihat dari filosofi hidup anggota sistem sosial tempat difusi inovasi terjadi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif (cross-sectional study) dengan menggunakan metode survey. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa peran etika berkomunikasi dalam proses difusi inovasi pembelajaran digital pada sistem persekolahan sangat urgen pada aspek-aspek: pihak yang wenang mengkomunikasikan, komunikasi interpersonal para pimpinan yang simetris, dan penghargaan terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat melalui pendekatan konflik kepentingan, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ditinjau dari filosofi hidup masyarakat Bali, etika komunikasi pimpinan dalam proses difusi inovasi pada sistem persekolahan sangat nampak pada aspek penghargaan terhadap lingkungan yakni pendekatan konflik kepentingan difusi inovasi. Tulisan awal ini masih perlu disempurnakan dengan data empiris lebih lanjut di lapangan, sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran menyeluruh keterkaitan difusi inovasi dengan faktor-faktor yang potensial memengaruhi diadopsi tidaknya inovasi pada satu atau lebih sistem sosial persekolahan lainnya.
