Abstract

This study aims to examine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of the use of Android media with the learning interest of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The study was conducted at State High School 3 Serang City, Banten Province. The research method uses correlational analysis. The study sample was taken as many as 40 (forty) students who are still actively learning in the current school year. Research data were collected through a validated questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation techniques through the help of the SPSS version 16.00 application. The results showed a weak positive relationship between the intensity of the use of Android media with the interest in learning of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects. Thus, students' interest in learning is largely influenced by other factors outside the variables of this study.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive qualitative by using a comparative analysis. The data primary data of this study are ta'lim al-muta'allim book and ayyuhal walad book. While the secondary data are on the basis of Imam al-Ghazali thoughts about education, Islamic education both classical and contemporary, and the thoughts of Moslem education figures.In this study, the data is collected by using documentation method and analyzed by intellectual biography. The comparison method were was used in for data discussion. The result of the study revealed that the concept of study and learning according to imam al-Zarnuji is a metal process.The core of learning itself is characteristic and manner shaping. Imam al-Zarnuji's learning concept stesses more on moral both for teacher and students. The interaction between students and teachers must support the ethics and moral without killing the learning creativity and dynamic. While according to imam al-Ghazali, learning is the process of soul to understand the meaning of something as an effort to shape good character in order to get closer to Allah the almighty (taqarrub). Although the learning concept according to imam al-Ghazali stresses on moral, it tends to pay extra attention toward the teachers as al-Mu'allim (knowledge transporters). A teacher must have good role or moral when he/she teaching. The comparison between learning concept and learning according to imam al-Ghazali and imam al-Zarnuji are on the basis of ontology (tauhid), epistimology (knowledge) dan aksiology (akhlaq/moral). These are sourced on al-Qur'an dan al-Hadits.

Abstract

This study describes and analyses environmental scanning at private high schools in Cilegon City, Banten Province. This research was conducted at three private high schools in Cilegon City, namely Rauhatul Jannah Islamic Integrated High School, Al-Khairiyah 4 High School and Muhammadiyah High School, using qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Principals, vice principals, and teachers from the three schools became research sources. The results of the study found that school strengths are student achievement in academic and non-academic fields, extracurricular activities, qualified and competent educators, collaboration with stakeholders, vision and mission as well as organizational programs, effective school planning, having guidelines, infrastructure, curriculum, school culture, deliberation and effective communication with the internal and external environment. The school's weaknesses have not yet maximized realizing the vision, mission and learning process, enforcement of school rules, lack of management and supervision, lack of school financial funding. School opportunities: academic and non-academic achievements, being the choice of students and parents, increasing new student registrants exceeding the quota, becoming a reference for comparative studies, entrepreneurial and entrepreneurial programs, becoming a model school model, good supervisory communication with relevant agencies and school committees. Threats to schools are limited and lack of financial resources, locations close to state schools, equivalent schools, new competitors who have the same platform, hostile behaviour and activities of students, less conducive school environment. Given the importance of scanning the school environment as one of a series of strategic plans, it is proper that the scanning of the school environment should be carried out carefully, thoughtfully and using the scientific method.

Abstract

Penulisan artikel ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara pendidik dengan peserta didik dalam perspektif al-Qur’an. Dalam penulisan karya ilmiah ini penulis mengambil referensi terkait dengan tema tulisan ini, kemudian penulis analisa berdasarkan tafsir al-Quran. Dalam penulisan ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan cara analisis deksriptif dan argumentatif. Hasil daripada pembahasan ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara pendidik dan peserta didik dalam al-Quran, terutama pada surat Al-Kahfi ayat 60-82, ada adab interaksi antara peserta didik terhadap pendidik yaitu belajar dengan niat ibadah karena Allah Swt, kesungguhan dan semangat yang kuat dalam menuntut ilmu, jujur dan bertanggung jawab, memperlihatkan keseriusan dengan ungkapan sopan dan tawadhu‟, memposisikan diri sebagai seseorang yang membutuhkan ilmu, menghormati pendidik, dan menepati kontrak belajar yang sudah disepakati. Dalam surat al-kahfi 60-82 hubungan antara pendidik terhadap peserta didiknya terdapat adab interaksi pendidik dengan peserta didik yaitu memiliki asisten sebagai pengganti saat pendidik tidak dapat hadir, melakukan tes minat dan bakat, melakukan kontrak belajar dengan peserta didik, memberikan hukuman kepada peserta didik sesuai dengan pelanggaran yang telah dilakukan, menjelaskan suatu pelajaran secara bertahap, menjelaskan hikmah (pengetahuan irfani) dibalik fakta atau fenomena (pengetahuan empiris) kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the contribution of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) basic skills to student social media utilization activities. Quantitative research was determined as a method with regression analysis. A total of 144 students selected randomly participated in this research. The research instrument used a five-scale questionnaire, consisting of 32 items of ICT skill instruments and 20 items for social media utilization instruments. The results showed a high level of ICT students' basic skills and social media use activities. There is a contribution of basic ICT skills to student social media utilization activities. The higher of the basic skill of ICT causes the higher the level of activity utilization of their social media. Research recommendations suggest efforts to improve students' basic ICT skills.

Abstract

This study employed survey method for exploring views of teachers toward science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math (STREAM) education. Primary teachers were asked their views through questionnaires after STREAM education workshop. Results revealed that teachers have holistic view and having positive view towards STREAM education even though all of them are not science or mathematics teachers. Change in belief and way of practices can allow teachers to do STREAM education in every classroom, design-based learning and creative classroom should be promoted as well. However, holistic view will be more effective into classroom, technology and other supporting learning environments should be prepared.

Abstract

This study purposed to investigate researching anxiety of pre-service teachers that might want to explain why they are able to learn successfully in the context of difference in program of study. There were 15 pre-service teachers in M.Ed. program of teaching science and mathematics voluntary participated. Learning Anxiety Questionnaire (LAQ) was employed their anxiety towards learning through Google Form. The study revealed that pre-service teachers had anxiety at medium level. However, some of item present they had different level of anxiety. The effective learning for decreasing level anxiety needs to be more discussed.

Abstract

Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran sains pada anak raudhatul atfhal mulai dengan mengenalkan hakikat sains, pengenalan sains pada anak, peran otak anak, tujuan pembelajaran sains, pendekatan pembelajaran sains, dan materi-materi sains bagi anak raudhatul athfal. Pengenalan sains pada anak TK/RA lebih menekankan pada proses melalui metode ilmiah yang meliputi observasi, problem solving, melakukan percobaan, analisa data, serta mengambil kesimpulan. Sains juga mengembangkan kemampuan spiritual, observasi, klasifikasi, pengukuran, menggunakan bilangan, rasa empati, dan intrapersonal anak. Tujuan pembelajaran sains pada anak raudhatul athfal mengembangkan asepk kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor anak secara utuh. Pendekatan pembelajaran sains yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran sains pada anak meliputi: pendekatan situasional, pendekatan terpisah, dan pendekatan terpadu. Beberapa materi yang dapat memberikan pengalaman tangan pertama (first-hand experience) antara lain: mengenal gerak, mengenal benda cair, mengenal timbangan (neraca), bermain gelembung sabun, mengenal benda-benda lenting, dan mengenal binatang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, kesulitan siswa dalam mendeskripsikan, dan memahami materi serta pembelajaran yang masih konvensional yang berpusat pada guru sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Penggunaan strategi Card Sort dan pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi sumber energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretestposttest design. Sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak 25 siswa dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar siswa dengan tes multiple choice sebanyak 20 butir soal yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji t karena sampel merupakan sampel kecil yang saling berhubungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diberikan perlakuan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 74,28 sedangkan siswa yang tidak diberikan perlakuan memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 61,8. Hasil uji t diperoleh sebesar 4,023 lebih besar dari t tabel (2,064). Artinya, penelitian menemukan bahwa Ha diterima dan menolak H0. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi card sort berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA materi sumber energi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan peserta didik dalam mendeskripsikan dan memahami suatu konsep pada materi klasifikasi benda, hal ini dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru sehingga peserta didik dididik untuk berpikir kembali dan mengumpulkan berbagai keterangan tanpa diminta menelaah dan memahami arti yang tersimpan di dalamnya. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana penerapan model children learning in science dan pengaruhnya terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA pada materi klasifikasi benda. Metode penelitian menggunakan pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 24 peserta didikdengan menggunakan nonprobability sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian sebanyak 7 item yang sudah divalidasi.Penerapan model children learning in sciencedalam proses pembelajaran mendapatkan hasil dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 72 sedangkan proses pembelajaran yang tidak menerapkan model children learning in sciencemendapatkan hasildengan nilai rata-rata 27,04. Kemudian dianalisis pengujian statistik dengan menggunakan uji t karena sampel yang digunakan merupakan sampel kecil yang saling berhubungan dan diperoleh nilai tosebesar8,133 lebih besar dari ttabelsebesar 2,069.Artinya, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerapan model children learning in science berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA.
