Abstract

Aims: Infancy or toddlerhood is an important period in the process of human growth and development. Development and growth in infancy or toddlerhood is a determinant of the success of children's growth and development in the next period. The immune system in children under five is still weak and immature, causing toddlers to be very susceptible to ARI. Research Objectives: To determine the effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic in 2022 Research Methods: The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 234 infants. The sample in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 70 infants. Bivariate analysis using chi square test. Results: The description of baby massage at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic was carried out by 35 people (50.0%) and 35 people (50.0%). recovered as many as 37 people (52.9%). Conclusions and Suggestions: It can be concluded that there is an effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic. It is recommended to parents and the community in order to increase the prevention of the incidence of ARI in infants by doing non-pharmacological baby massage therapy.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to determine the effect of giving Cork fish extract (Channa Striata) on perineal wounds Methods: This quasi-experimental design research uses a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. Samples were collected using purposive sampling technique with total 40 post-partum mothers as respondents. Observation sheet used to measure perineal wound healing in the intervention and control groups Results:   The average perineal wound healing between the intervention group (3.65) and control (5.50) in mothers in the Walantaka Public Health Center, Serang City. There was an effect of giving cork fish extract (Channa Striata) on perineal wounds with the result (p.value= 0.000). Conclusion:  The result of this study showed that Cork fish extract can be used to perineal wounds among post-partum mothers. Further research about the other benefits and functions of Cork Fish Extract can be carried out, especially in the field of reproductive health.

Abstract

Aims: Increasing the utilization of The Maternal and Child Handbook can be done in various ways, including by increasing the participation of cadres, because cadres can become facilitators for mothers and families in obtaining The Maternal and Child Handbook. However, what happens in the field is the low knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in carrying out detection and first aid during postpartum emergencies. Objectives: To determine the effect of health education about the kia book on the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in carrying out detection and first aid for Methods: The study was quasi-experimental in nature, using a single group design. The Nagasari Health Center area provided 30 cadres for this study. This study's sample included 30 cadres from the Nagasari Health Center area. The Wilcoxon test is used in bivariate analysis. Results: The knowledge of posyandu cadres in detecting and providing first aid in postpartum emergencies prior to receiving health education is 1.77 (Insufficient) and the SD value is 0.430, whereas their skills in detecting and providing first aid in postpartum emergencies prior to receiving health education are 1.73 (unskilled) and the SD value is 0.450. The knowledge of posyandu cadres in performing detection and first aid in postpartum emergencies after receiving health education is 1.30 (Good) and the standard deviation is 0.466, while their skills are 1.23 (skilled) and the standard deviation is 0.430. Conclusion: health education regarding the kia book has an influence on the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres regarding emergency detection and first aid during the postpartum period.

Abstract

Aims: Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data, there was 81.5 percent of normal deliveries, and 17.6 percent of them were born by Section Caesarea. Delivery by SC can provide higher complications than giving birth vaginally or normally. One of the conditions that cause patient discomfort is pain. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to treat post-SC pain is lavender aromatherapy. Methods: Quantitative method employing a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design in one group (pretest-posttest design in one group). By diffusion, using a diffuser to emit a fragrant fragrance, a dose of 5-10 drops diluted with 20 ml of water is administered once every 60 minutes. This study's demographic consisted of post-Caesarean section patients treated at YPK Mandiri Hospital in December 2022. The sampling method was incidental sampling, and the sample size was forty respondents. Results: Prior to receiving lavender aromatherapy, there were 38 respondents with moderate pain (95%) and two respondents with mild pain; after receiving lavender aromatherapy, the intensity of pain decreased to mild. 39 respondents (97.5%) and 1 respondent (2.5%) continued to experience moderate pain. Aromatherapy with lavender is efficacious in reducing pain 24 hours after SC (Asymp. Sig). Conclusions: Lavender aromatherapy is effective in reducing pain 24 hours after SC; therefore, it is anticipated that lavender aromatherapy will become the primary therapy before patients are given pharmacological therapy, such as pain-relieving medications.
