<![CDATA[Jatibarang Reservoir is a reservoir located in Semarang City, Central Java which has various benefits for the community and the surrounding area such as a water resource, flood control, tourist attractions, and a hydroelectric power plant. The development of human activities in the Jatibarang Reservoir will affect water quality and water fertility. Therefore, it is necessary to manage water quality through monitoring the primary productivity of the Jatibarang Reservoir. This research aims to determine the primary productivity of the Jatibarang Reservoir through the dark bottle and light bottle method approaches. The research was carried out in July 2020. The research method used is descriptive non-experimental method and the determination of the sampling point using purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out at five stations with two repetitions. Analysis of primary productivity data using dark bottle and light bottle method. The results showed that the primary productivity of Jatibarang Reservoir ranged from 249,96-1.250.04 mg C/m3/day. Based on the results of the primary productivity, the fertility of the Jatibarang Reservoir is mesotrophic-eutrophic. ABSTRAK Waduk Jatibarang merupakan waduk yang berada di Kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah yang memiliki berbagai manfaat untuk masyarakat dan daerah sekitar seperti sebagai sumber air, pengendali banjir, tempat wisata, dan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air (PLTA). Berkembangnya aktivitas manusia di Waduk Jatibarang akan mempengaruhi kualitas air dan kesuburan perairan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan pengelolaan kualitas air melalui monitoring produktivitas primer Waduk Jatibarang. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produktivitas primer Waduk Jatibarang melalui pendekatan metode botol gelap dan botol terang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif non-eksperimental dan penentuan titik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di lima stasiun dengan dua kali pengulangan. Analisa data produktivitas primer menggunakan metode botol gelap dan botol terang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas primer Waduk Jatibarang berkisar antara 249,96-1.250,04 mg C/m3/hari. Berdasarkan hasil produktivitas primer tersebut, kesuburan Waduk Jatibarang yaitu mesotrofik-eutrofik.]]>
