Abstract

Hatchery is one of important factors to maximize shrimp production. One of supporting factorsis the availability of qualified natural foodsin sufficient quantities.The aim of this study was to know the addition effect of extract Sargassum to culture medium for population growth of Chaetoceros gracilis. Culture medium  used for microalgae C. grasilis was a 12 liter jar with density of 105 cell/mL. The Sargassum extract was obtained by processing Sargassum  waste through anaerob fermentation, then was extractedand considered as liquid organic fertilizer. Tested treatment was A = 0 ppm (without Sargassum extract), B = 10 ppm of Sargassumextract, C = 20 ppm of Sargassumextract andD =30 ppm of Sargassumextract for three replications. It was found that the population density of C. gracilis increased and the highest algae density occurred in treatmentD on day5, followed with C, B and A, which were 353,433 cell/mL, 336,833 cell/mL,308,867 cell/mL and 244,433 cell/mL. This illustrates that the addition of high doses has affected the population density of microalgae C.gracilis.

Abstract

The partner's problem is the high cost of fuel If the fishing area around Siddo usually spends 50 ? 100 liters pertrip (Rp250.000 ? Rp 500.000). If the fishing area is very far away, then the number of operating days is usually 3 to 4 dayslater it takes 300 - 400 liters per trip (Rp1,500,000 - Rp2,000,000). The catching area was unclear, and the catch in 2009 hasdecreased, one of the problems is allegedly caused by fishermen not using the latest fishing technology, including the useof fishing aids (global position system, fish finder). How to get potential fishing locations and at the same time read fishingmaps, resulted in the search for an extensive fishing area and certainly needed a lot of fuel. The purpose of this activity isto 1). Increase catches and reduces operational costs 2). Improve the ability of purse seine fishersto use fishing aids andable to independently read fishing maps. The benefits of this activity are expected to increase fishermen's income. Themethod used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) And implementation methods namely counseling, training anddemonstration and evaluation. Apply fishing aids according to maps of fishing grounds issued by the Indonesian Ministryof Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. The results of this activity are very satisfying. Fisherman's mindset to use training onhow to calculate ice usage has added the ability to calculate ice usage according to the number of fish to be preservedMentoring fishers in the practice of using fishing aids and developing business partners as well as how to read a fishingmap excellent response. Finally able to use and interested in buying a similar tool. The conclusion of the activity is 1)Fishing aids have affected the catch and reduced operational costs, 2) Fishermen have been able to read fishing maps theninput into GPS independently

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of periphyton substrate density on the growth, survival, and production of tilapia saline (Oreochromis niloticus) biomass. This research was conducted for one month from January to February 2019 in the Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The containers used were 12 units of hapa-installed ponds (1x1m2). Periphyton substrate uses bamboo stems 8 cm in diameter and 1.2 m long. Then bamboo stems were stuck in each treatment except control. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the best weight growth was obtained in treatment D (72.2 grams / fish), C 42.5 grams / fish), B (28.3 grams / fish) and A (22.3 grams / fish), and growth the best length was obtained in treatments D (12.2cm), C (8.1cm), B (5.4cm) and A (4.4cm). Whereas the best survival rate was obtained in treatments D (96%), C (92%), B (88%) and A (84%), and the best saline tilapia biomass was obtained in treatment D (1.73 kg / m2), C (0.98 kg / m2), B (0.62 kg / m2) and A (0.47 kg / m2). Be concluded that different substrate densities affect the growth, survival, and biomass production of saline tilapia.

Abstract

Polyculture is a cultivation method used for the maintenance of many products in one field, polyculture has advantages over monoculture, especially the efficiency of spatial utilization, increased land carrying capacity and increased pond tilapia for pond farmers whose land is less productive. Vanammei shrimp (L. Van) is one of the fishery products that can make foreign exchange for the country and tilapia. The objectives to be achieved in this study were to see the optimal effect of polyculture of vanammei shrimp and tilapia by obtaining a rapid survival rate and growth for 2 months in the pond. The research was carried out for two months from May to June 2018. Traditionally, Tadang Palie village, Cempa sub-district, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The design used was completely randomized (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Data were analyzed by ANOVA variance. The results showed that the growth rates of Vanammei shrimp and tilapia were highest in the treatment of Vanammei Shrimp (6.37 grams), B tilapia (8.28 grams) and the survival of vanammei shrimp and the best tilapia obtained in treatment B. (73 , 75%) vanammei shrimp and B tilapia (67.50%) and the best biomass was obtained in plot B (1499) while the best feed convection was obtained in treatment B. (1.22). Polyculture of vanammei shrimp and tilapia gives the best results.

Abstract

The study aimed how much the income of swallows nest in the district Maritengngae regency Sidenreng Rappang. The researcher used method of Sampling jenuh (sensus). This study was conducted in the district Maritengngae regency Sidenreng Rappang and using sampling 50 enterpeuners swallows nest. This study concist 3 group, little scale, average scale, and large scale. Study use analysis finansial Net Present Value, Net Benefit Cost Ratio, Gross Benefit Cost Ratio, Internal Rate of Return, and Payback Period. The result showed enterpeuner swallows nest little scale have income Rp20.000.00,00/year and the discount factor 6% NPV Rp48.454.578,00, Net B/C 2,29%, Gross B/C 1,60%, IRR 30,80% and PBP 2,96 the return of finansial during 2 years 9 month 6 days. The result showed enterpeuner swallows nest average scale have income Rp50.000.00,00/year and the discount factor 6% NPV Rp339.474.104,00, Net B/C 3%, Gross B/C 2,09%, IRR 29,93% and PBP 3,33 the return of finansial during 3 years 3 month 3 days. The result showed enterpeuner swallows nest large scale have income Rp120.000.00,00/year and the discount factor 6% NPV Rp940.852.808,00, Net B/C 3%, Gross B/C 2,09%, IRR 30,67% and PBP 3,26 the return of finansial during 3 years 2 month 6 days. Based on the study, the enterpeuner of swallows nest in the district Maritengngae regency Sidenreng Rappang feasible to developed because a provides economic benefits.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to obtain the best dose of clove extract anesthetic in the transportation of carp (Cyprinus carpio) from suppliers to consumers in the supply chain of carp. Alive, healthy, and not defective carp from the Fish Seed Center with 3-5 cm size were used as objects in this study. Carp fish bag and 50 x 35 x 30 cm Styrofoam boxes were used as containers which were placed randomly during the delivery of carp. The study was conducted with four treatments of different clove extract levels, treatment A as a control (0 ppm), B (3.3 ppm), C (6.7 ppm), and D (10 ppm), with three replications each. The examination of the anesthetic condition of carp was carried out four times during transportation, at 0, 6, 12, and 24 hours. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was conducted to see the impact of the treatments, and then the Tukey test was carried out to see the differences between treatments. The analysis was carried out using SPSS version 21. The results showed that increasing the anesthetic dose of clove extract impacted the health condition and survival rate of the carp seedlings during transportation. The highest survival rate (85%) was achieved at a concentration of 6.7 ppm.Keywords: anesthesia dosage, clove extract, carp, the survival rate Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis anestesi ekstrak cengkeh terbaik dalam pengangkutan ikan karper (Cyprinus carpio) dari pemasok ke konsumen dalam rantai pasok ikan karper. Ikan karper yang digunakan sebagai objek dalam penelitian ini adalah ikan karper dari Balai Benih Ikan dengan ukuran 3-5 cm, dalam keadaan hidup, sehat, dan tidak cacat. Kantong ikan karper dan Styrofoam berukuran 50 x 35 x 30 cm digunakan sebagai wadah selama pengiriman ikan karper dan penempatannya dilakukan secara acak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 4 perlakuan kadar ekstrak cengkeh yang berbeda, yaitu A sebagai kontrol (0 ppm), B (3,3 ppm), C (6,7 ppm), dan D (10 ppm) dengan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Pemeriksaan kondisi anestesi pada ikan karper dilakukan 4 kali selama pengangkutan, yaitu 0, 6, 12, dan 24 jam. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dilakukan untuk melihat dampak dari perlakuan kemudian uji Tukey dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Analisis dilakukan dengan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan dosis anestesi ekstrak cengkeh berdampak pada keadaan kesehatan dan sintasan ikan karper saat transportasi. Abstract

Indonesia is one country in the world exporters of tuna in the form of fresh, frozen andprocessed. Tuna exported in processed form large enough to leave waste for exporting companies.The purpose of this study was to determine a feasibility study on solid waste exported tuna loin forraw material diversification. This research was conducted in Majene Makassar Strait. The study wasconducted using descriptive exploratory method by taking a sample of 3 times and each samplewas tested 3 times resulting in 9 times of testing for each of the observed variables. Chemical testwhich includes moisture, protein, fat, ash, carbohydrates, and histamine. Microbiological test thatis E. coli, Salmonella and the total number of bacteria. Data were analyzed by descriptive qualitativeand quantitative display via Tables, Graphics and Image in the form of average value. The resultsshowed that the chemical solid waste tuna loin has a water content ranged from 78.34 to 78.78%,protein content ranged from 14.32 to 16.41%, fat ranged from 1.56 to 1.66%, ash content rangedfrom 5.18 to 5. 58%, carbohydrate content ranged from 1.29 to 1.34%, and histamine ranged from2.08 to 3.21 mg / kg. Solid waste microbiologically tuna loin contains E.coli range from 1.2 to 1.9(<2), Salmonella negative and TPC ranged from 1.4 to 1.8 x 105 kol/g. The results of chemical andmicrobiological testing showed solid waste tuna loin still suitable as raw material diversificationproducts.

Abstract

Climatic data and information is indispensable as an initial selection in the identification of potential land and the determination of agricultural commodity development strategies in an area. Opportunities to manipulate climate data are very small and unpredictable. Each plant has an ideal environment for living, as well as the cocoa plant. Cocoa plant growth and development is strongly influenced by the environment. Climatic factors that greatly affect the cacao plant, among others elevation, rainfall, dry month and the air temperature. Therefore, it is necessary to cross the cocoa commodity by looking at the agro-climatic suitability class with the overlay method based on Geographic Information System (GIS) of Enrekang Regency. The results showed that the grade of agroclimate suitability of cocoa commodity was dominated by class N or not appropriate. The dominant area is 45.7% (83.262.97 Ha) and the smallest class is S3 or marginal, with 7.5% (13,666.75 Ha) of total research area. The areas suitable for planting cocoa are in the suitability class S1 or very appropriate, with an area of 33,390.46 Ha or about 18.3% of the total area of Enrekang Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh penggunaan subtitusi tepung daun kelor sebagai pakan terhadap sintasan dan konversi pakan benih ikan Nila (Oreocrhomis niloticus). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Benih Ikan Pangkajene Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan keramba waring yang ditempatkan secara acak dalam satu kolam. Perlakuan terdiri atas 5 perlakuan, yaitu 100% pakan komersil dengan subtitusi tepung daun kelor terdiri dari 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100%. Parameter yang diukur adalah sintasan dan konversi pakan benih ikan Nila. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan subtitusi tepung daun kelor 75% diperoleh nilai tertinggi untuk sintasan (99%) dan terendah pada konversi pakan (1,22 g). Penggunaan subtitusi tepung daun kelor memberi hasil terbaik untuk sintasan dan konversi pakan benih ikan Nila yaitu dengan kandungan tepung daun kelor sebesar 75%. Disarankan untuk tidak melebih batas penggunaan subtitusi tepung daun kelor agar memberikan pertumbuhan yang baik pada benih ikan Nila.
