Abstract

Abstract - This study aims to understand the value of Madurese ethnic culture in the management control system applied in UD Selamat Jaya. The control system found was analyzed for weakness based on the point of view of spirituality and its own cultural values.This research is a qualitative researchand use UD Selamat Jaya as research object. The scope of the study is limited only to the internal environment of UD Selamat Jaya whose members of the organization are Madurese. The methods used to obtain data are interview, observation, and document analysis (if possible). The collection process takes place within 3 months. Interview method used is semi-stuctured interviews where some questions have been prepared beforehand but in the process adjust the condition of spontaneity of participants.The research findings show that the object's control system is still informal. Not much Madura cultural value is implemented. Some are done as a habit without conscious understanding. From the angle of spirituality, too, there is not much but it is implied. MCS based on spirituality combined with the meaning of Madurese cultural values can be a solution of weakness analysis. The result of analysis and discussion shows that SPM based on spirituality combined with Madurese cultural values give positive impact to UD Selamat Jaya.

Abstract

This study is applied research with the purpose of explanatory reasearh to solve the problems that occurred in MM Hotel, Riau which will produce recommendations in the form of solving and solving the problem by using interpretive-qualitatvie research paradigma. This research is an opportunity to put the spirituality in MM Hotel and surrounding area. In Indonesia, especially in remote parts of Riau, the concept of spirituality-based management control system is not known by many people. By implementing a spirituality based management control system, it is expected to reduce the suffering around us and create a better world for all beings and a harmonious and loving world.

Abstract

Employees are the company's valuable asset. To keep the employees do well to carry out operational activities, a proper management control system is required. There are three types of complementary controls: result control, action control and cultural control. The purpose of this study is to explore and explain the relationship between the management control system with the application of Bushido values to overcome the deficiencies that occur in the department PPIC PT Maspion Sidoarjo. There are eight main values of Bushido used as a basis for overcoming the shortcomings. The research used is applied research with qualitative approach method. This research attempts to provide recommendations on the shortcomings contained in the PPIC department of PT Maspion Sidoarjo. The results of this study found that there are some deficiencies that occur in the operational activities of the department of PPIC due to lack of motivation in employees due to the weakness of the control system. The values in Bushido provide the basis for the researchers to provide recommendations to address the motivational problems that occur in employees.

Abstract

Everyone has different interests and needs, as well as employees. These differences shape employee' expectations, motivations, and character. Management control system required by the company in controlling employee behavior because this control system acts as a tool to overcome the problem, one of them is by providing incentive system. Not only the incentives employees receive by doing a job, but the intrinsic rewards that employees feel during the work can also be said to build employee loyalty to the company itself. Implementation of incentive system greatly affects employee performance, if employees are satisfied with the incentives they receive then employees will be loyal and show better performance. Conversely, if employee expectations in work didn’t meet with company’s policy then employee behavior will lead to intention turnover. Along with the development of human resources, the problem of turnover intention is a distinctive challenge for companies nowadays since the turnover intention is an unpredictable event. Uncontrolled employee behavior will lead to intention turnover.

Abstract

The industrial revolution has changed the pattern of development of the world economy gradually. Western management philosophies and perspectives are thought to dominate around the world. While the eastern philosophy that has existed for about 2,500 years such as Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism is only given a very limited attention and appreciation. However, over time business practices in China have proved that the perfect combination of Western management ideas and traditional Chinese culture has made the Chinese business model so dynamic that it is becoming widely used in the world. One of the core concepts of Chinese Taoist philosophy that is most familiar with western thinking is Yin Yang. This philosophy provides an insight into a statement that seems to contradict popular opinion. However, in the midst of complex needs and tight competition to meet today's business needs, Yin-Yang's principle of balance is an important guide to solving existing problems. The research method used is applied research because this research is useful to solve the problem problems according to the selected research object. The purpose of this study is exploratory research where this research will explain the implementation of control management based on Yin Yang philosophy in solving business problems on the object of research.

Abstract

Abstract - This research will discuss about how to improve understanding about the role of leadership style and also management control system to employee loyalty . This study uses the object of a swayalan business located in Blitar.. This research wants to show that the leadership style of a boss and management control system are mutually related to each other and support each other in realizing and creating employee loyalty. If the leadership style is in good shape then it can establish a good management system as well as effective control so that later will provide comfort for employees so as to create employee loyalty will be further increased

Abstract

Leader is a very important figure of the future for a company. The existence of a company's vision and mission of a leader will affect the success of an organization. If one of the visions can not be realized, the company will experience an unwanted obstacle due to wrong consideration of a decision taken from a leader. So, the role of a leader plays a very strong role where with the support of the values of Confucian ethics are insipirational against the progress of a company. But a company needs other resources to lead to the success of employees. Human resources can consist of various generations, especially from generations X and Y which this generation has its own uniqueness in doing a job for the achievement of corporate goals. Many differences in thinking and characteristics in the company can cause potential to develop and can cause misunderstandings that cause the organization to run smoothly. Therefore, the control of management needed in controlling organizational behavior so that the company's vision and mission can be achieved. Control systems that used in UD. Setia Hati are personnel and culture control. Both are behavior controls against the individual himself and between employees so that behave in accordance with the desire of the company. This research is qualitative by taking UD Setia Hati's research object. UD. Setia Hati is a business entity providing party equipment. It is focused on knowing Confucian ethics in the leadership style that influences the personnel and culture control in order to improve the quality of employees in the company.

Abstract

In the era of globalization as now, requires every company to always make innovations and improvements in order to achieve targeted goals. Therefore, one way that can support it is by the implementation of a good business strategy in accordance with the company’s condition. Besides the implementation of a good business strategy is required also the implementation of Management Control Systems in accordance with the vision and mission of the company. BMT is a business entity which is engaged in fast ship expedition by applying several business strategies such as: maintaining the condition of the package, maintaining customers' trust, increasing employee motivation, and ultimately setting the price of lower cost (cost leadership). Thesis research is included in applied research where the researcher hopes to give evaluation and recommendation on CV. BMT’s management control system through the levers of control point of view. The research method used is interview, observation, and document analysis. Lack of supervision from supervisors and the lack of understanding of the vision, mission, and objectives of the company by some employees that cause the non-compliance of company regulations are some of the problems of implementing a management control system that hampers the company's business strategy. Improvements using a levers of control based management control system are chosen because they emphasize information systems that can maintain and change organizational behavior patterns. Recommendation based on levers of control point of view, expected to improve management control system that has been applied and can support the company's business strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to provide knowledge about the system of taxation by companies, especially SMEs to run the system of taxation routine and Tax Amnesty. In this research explains that every Taxpayer has the same obligation in doing taxation according to its business activity. However, there are still many taxpayers who have not done their duties so that thegovernment implements Tax Amnesty to resolve the issue because it can harm the state. Implementation of Tax Amnesty got positive and negative impression especially from UMKM. Some Taxpayers follow Tax Amnesty is not even based on self-awareness but from the existence of several factors that affect. With the Tax Amnesty of Taxpayers, especially UMKM hopes that Tax Amnesty can promote and improve the state economy and make the practice of taxation better, transparent, and evenly in all levels of society.

Abstract

Abstract - This research is basic research that explores the public's trust in swallow farming business. Swiftlet nest is believed to have many benefits for health. Indonesia is the largest producer of swallow's nest in the world. Almost some of the swallow nest produced is exported abroad, especially to China. The purpose of this study is to discuss the reasons behind the belief that is expected to bring information to many people. So that people are able to think wisely and open in every business especially swiftlet nest business. While the method used by the author is qualitative methods by means of interviews, observation and analysis of documents in order to support the validity of the data. The main objects of the research are breeders, collectors and consumers of Swallow nest. The scope of this research is on cultural beliefs in Swallow farming based on Indonesia and China perpective. On the basis of the findings obtained during the study, researchers found that not all swallow nest businessmen believed in the belief. some of them might believe the impact of Swallow farming business but based on different reasons. It has been found not only from the Indonesian perpective but also in Chinese perpective.
