Abstract

Strengthening women's literacy through the publishing of the Suhita tabloid was carried out for community activist in the Mojokerto city. Literacy strengthening is done to support their duties as community activist. The name Suhita is taken from the name of Dyah Suhita who is the queen of the Majapahit Kingdom. In strengthening this literacy the participants were equipped with various journalistic and writing techniques to support their oral competence. Learning activities carried out with the jigsaw adaptation strategy. Participants were divided into groups according to the type of writing and the writing assignments were changed at each meeting. Such learning makes the atmosphere of life learning because learners are treated as adults who are full of initiative and independence. The results of activities in the form of writings that are ready to be published because editing is also done together in each lesson. Editing was done in a new group. The new group is formed by the way the original group divides itself into new groups. Learning outcomes are published in a 16-page tabloid. Keywords: women's literacy, community cadres, Suhita

Abstract

The purpose of designing this rustic wood slice artwork with the basic material of waste branches, leaves, and dried flowers is to create new artwork and develope the skills of productive communities in Watu Gong, Malang City, East Java. This rustic wood slice is a artwork that can be used as decorative objects, used objects, and souvenirs for visitors of The Watu Gong.  The method used in this study is method of craft creation which consist of 3 stages including exploration, design, and realization of actualization. The exploration phase starts from observing natural resources, such as wood, branches, leaves, and flowers which can be processed into basic materials for making rustic wood slice artwork. At the design stage, several sketches were made as an alternative design. From these alternative, one design sketch was chosen which was turned into an actual artwork. The realization or actualization stage is carried out by several processes, including preparation of tools and materials, exploration main materials and supporting materials placement, and actualization of the actual artwork. The results of this creation are 2 types of rustic wood slice artwork, namely rustic wood slice jar and rustic wood slice mirrorTujuan perancangan karya rustic wood slice dengan bahan dasar limbah ranting, daun, dan bunga kering ini adalah menciptakan karya baru dan mengembangkan keterampilan masyarakat produktif di daerah Watu Gong, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Karya rustic wood Slice ini merupakan salah satu karya yang dapat dijadikan sebagai benda hias, benda pakai, dan souvenir bagi pengunjung objek wisata Watu Gong yang ada di daerah ini. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan adalah metode penciptaan seni kriya yang mencakup 3 tahapan, yaitu eksplorasi, perancangan, dan pewujudan. Tahap eksplorasi dimulai dari pengamatan sumber daya alam, seperti kayu, ranting, daun, dan bunga yang dapat diolah menjadi bahan dasar pembuatan karya rustic wood slice. Pada tahap perancangan, dibuat beberapa gambar sketsa desain sebagai alternatif desain. Dari beberapa alternatif desain tersebut dipilih 1 gambar sketsa yang akan diwujudkan menjadi karya sebenarnya. Tahap pewujudan dilakukan melalui beberapa proses, yaitu persiapan alat dan bahan, eksplorasi peletakan material utama dan material pendukung, serta pewujudan karya sebenarnya. Hasil penciptaan berupa dua jenis karya rustic wood slice, yaitu toples rustic wood slice dan kaca cermin  rustic wood slice.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan Pelatihan yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan intruksional agar memudahkan peserta yang masih awam dalam membuat produk. Namun peserta tetap dibebaskan untuk membentuk motif yang mereka sukai untuk membangun kreativitas mereka. Agar pelatihan dapat terus langsung berjalan menjadi bentuk wirausaha, dibuatlah grup media social Whatsapp post-event yang menjadi wadah untuk berdiskusi tentang pembuatan Batik Modular Interloc. Dan hal ini berhasil menjadikan peserta pelatihan untuk berwirausaha membuat souvenir Batik Modular Interloc dan dijual di Festival Kampung Cempluk 2019. Hasil penjualannya pun juga dapat menarik minat wisatawan untuk membelinya. Selain itu, peserta juga diberikan kuisioner post-event kepuasan pelatihan. Hasil dari kuisioner pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta puas dengan instruktur dan cara pelatihannya namun mereka kesulitan untuk merapikan aksesoris Batik Modular Interlock.  Kata kunci— Kampung Cempluk, Souvenir, Batik Modular Interloc, Kawung Ceplokan, pengabdian, masyarakat Abstract The purpose of the activity the training is carried out using an instructional approach to facilitate participants who are still lay in making products. But participants are still free to form the motives they like to build their creativity. So that the training can continue to run immediately into a form of entrepreneurship, a post-event Whatsapp social media group was created as a forum for discussion about the making of Modular Interloc Batik. And this has succeeded in making the trainees to become entrepreneurs in making Interloc Modular Batik souvenirs and for sale at the Cempluk Village Festival 2019. The proceeds from the sale can also attract tourists to buy them. In addition, participants were also given a post-event satisfaction training questionnaire. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini diperuntukkan bagi karang taruna dikawasan wisata Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Kota Malang. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta, potensi diri dibidang kreatif, menambah pengetahuan dan pengalaman artistik melalui pembuatan lampion hias. Kebutuhan akan pencahayaan dilokasi kawasan wisata bukan hanya untuk keindahan tetapi memeriahkan tampilan permukiman khususnya di malam hari. Pembekalan keterampilan bagi karang taruna sangat diharapkan dan dipastikan untuk kurun waktu tertentu, secara berkesinambungan kawasan ini menjadi sentra industri kreatif berbasis budaya lokal yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi. Masalahnya aktivitas karang taruna sangat kurang dibidang kreatif, belum memiliki kompetensi mengembangkan potensi kreatif berolah seni rupa dan kerajinan untuk memperindah lingkungan yang menjadi objek kunjungan wisata sehingga perlu dilatih. Metode yang digunakan diantaranya  pengayaan, metode pembelajaran, metode partisipatif, dan metode evaluasi untuk mengetahui perubahan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan wawasan/perilaku khalayak sasaran. Manfaat dari kegiatan pelatihan penting untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta, mampu berwirausaha, memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk mengembangkan potensi diri, dan menggunakan keterampilan yang dimiliki untuk memperindah, memelihara, dan melestarikan  lingkungan kawasan kampung wisata Kajoetangan.  Kata kunci— lampion hias, kreativitas, Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Malang. Abstract Community service activity is for young people in the tourism area of Kajoetangan Heritage Village, Malang. Aiming to increase participant's creativity, self potential in the creative field, increase knowledge and artistic experience through making decorative lanterns. The need for lighting in the tourist area is not just for beauty but enliven the appearance of settlements, especially at night. Provision of skills for youth is highly expected and ensured for a certain period of time, this area will continuously become a center for creative industries based on local culture that has a high economic value. The problem is that the activities of the youth group are very lacking in the creative field, and do not yet have the competence to develop the creative potential to work in the arts and crafts to beautify the environment that is the object of a tourist visit so they need to be trained. The methods used include enrichment, learning methods, participatory methods, and evaluation methods to determine changes in knowledge, skills, and insights/behavior of the target audience. The benefits of the training activities are important to increase the creativity of the participants, being able to become entrepreneurs, have high motivation to develop their potential, and use their skills to beautify, maintain, and preserve the environment of the Kajoetangan tourist village. Keywords— ornamental lanterns, creativity, Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Malang

Abstract

Sejarah kota Malang tidak bisa lepas dari keberadaan Kayutangan. Pada era kolonial Belanda, kawasan ini menjadi pusat bisnis, yang hingga sekarang masih bertahan, bahkan telah ditetapkan sebagai  bangunan Heritage ke perwakilan pengelola 32 bangunan di Kota Malang 10 diantaranya berada dalam kawasan Kayutangan. Diantara bangunan-bangunan heritage terdapat gang yang juga dipenuhi rumah-rumah heritage, disanalah terdapat Kampung Heritage Kayutangan. Kampung Heritage Kayutangan sekarang ini menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata, dimana warganya sangat membuka diri dan menyiapkan rumah mereka sebagai titik swafoto. Namun ketika berkunjung ke Kampung Heritage Kayutangam, baik wisatawan lokal maupun wisatawan asing kesulitan mencari souvenir yang khas. Pengebdian ini bertujuan mengajak warga untuk dapat menumbuh kembangkan kemampuan berwirausaha yang selanjutnya mampu mengangkat potensi daerah melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Souvenir Batik Motif Bangunan Kampung Heritage Kayutangan Malang dengan Teknik Smok. metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal. Hasil kegiatan ini terdapat pengembangan Kemampuan Berwirausaha Masyarakat dengan produk unggulan membuat Souvenir Wisatawan terutama bagi wisatawan asing berupa t-shirt dan goodie bag.Kata kunci—Heritage Malang, Kayu Tangan, Teknik SMOK AbstractThe history of Malang cannot be separated from the existence of Kayutangan. In the Dutch colonial era, this area became a business center, which until now still survives, even has been designated as a Heritage building to the representative of the management of 32 buildings in Malang. 10 of them are in the Kayutangan area. Among the heritage buildings there are alleys which are also filled with heritage houses, there is Heritage Kayutangan Village. Kayutangan Heritage Village is now one of the tourist destinations, where the residents are very open and preparing their homes as a selfie point. But when visiting the Kayutangam Heritage Village, both local and foreign tourists have difficulty finding distinctive souvenirs. This service aims to invite citizens to be able to develop and develop entrepreneurial skills which are then able to raise the potential of the region through the Training of Making Batik Motifs in Malang Kayutangan Heritage Village Building with Smok Technique. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal. The result of this activity is the development of Community Entrepreneurial Ability with superior products making Tourist Souvenirs especially for foreign tourists in the form of t-shirts and goodie bags.Keywords—Heritage Malang, Hand Wood, SMOK Engineering.

Abstract

The museum is a fun learning tool for the community. The Museum of Asian Art is one of the museums in Malaysia which was founded by Malaya University. The museum has three showroom floors and represents three civilizations; India, China and Islam. Every day the museum is very crowded by tourists to find information about artifact objects. Lots of artifacts stored in this museum include textiles, musical instruments, ceramics, masks, paintings, weapons and others. The museum itself is the right place to store and preserve ancient objects so they can still be seen and used as a source of learning and cultural preservation for the nation's next generation. This research takes the artifacts that are masks because the results of observations made by researchers, information about masks at the Museum of Asian Art Malaysia is very minimal compared to other artifacts, there are only name tags but there is no deeper information about the mask. So that it still cannot be used as a learning medium to the maximum. From this problem, researchers developed Nusantara Mask Heritage Malaysia (NUSMARI MALAYSIA) products based on Augmented Reality. The research method used is the development model into 4 steps: (1). Research and Information Collecting, (2). Planning, (3). Develop Preliminary Form Of Product, (4). Final Product Revision. The result of this development is a learning media application that can help tourists of all ages to more easily learn the mask of the Orang Asli Malaysia in the museum.

Abstract

The role of information technology is the main thing that must be fulfilled to support activities in various fields of life, including the promotion of tourism. One of the developing information is Virtual Reality technology. iOMTARA (interior of Omah Nusantara) is a room tour application development that was created as a media for the introduction and promotion of tourism in the Nusantara. The 3D objects displayed in this application are Joglo Yogyakarta Indonesia's traditional house and Melaka Malaysia’s traditional house. Both of them were chosen because currently the traditional house no longer functions as a residence but also as a tourist attraction for both foreign and domestic tourists. This application was developed using interactive visual methods such as virtual worlds that make users feel like they are getting the same information as the experience of entering the space in the real houses. The application of building 3D objects from houses is followed by making video interactions using virtual reality. The final stage, this application will be incorporated into a mobile phone based on the Android operating system so that it can be used easily by the people. The application design method begins with a preliminary study of qualitative methods to obtain data directly in the field. Then the data is used to designing virtual reality in the IOMTARA Room Tour application. The result of making this application is the design of an iOMTARA application that uses Virtual Reality technology and can be used on mobile phone based on the Android system. It is expected that with this application, the people is more familiar with tourism objects in the Nusantara, especially the Joglo Yogyakarta Indonesia’s traditional house and the Melaka Malaysia’s traditional house.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kesenian Wayang Topeng Jatiduwur merupakan peninggalan Majapahit yang hidup dan berkembang ratusan tahun di desa Jatiduwur sebagai kesenian khas Jombang. Tetapi masih banyak dari masyarakat tidak mengetahui keberadaan Topeng Jatiduwur yang memiliki keunikan bentuk visual Topeng, warna, ornament, pertunjukan dan nilai sejarahnya. Tujuan penciptaan ini adalah mendeskripsikan ide konsep motif batik inspirasi Topeng Jatiduwur Jombang, mendeskripsikan proses kreatif motif kain batik dari tokoh Triloka dan upaya pelestarian Topeng Jatiduwur melalui motif batik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kreatif terdiri dari beberapa tahap; merumuskan kreasi ide motif batik inspirasi Topeng Jatiduwur Jombang, eksplorasi ide konsep, eksplorasi desain dan teknik, proses kreatif mewujudkan motif batik, hasil kreatif motif batik, dan analisis hasil kreatif. Hasil kreatif  penciptaan berupa enam kain motif batik dengan teknik digital printing diharapkan memberikan efektifitas proses produksi kain batik skala besar, dan nantinya kain dapat digunakan sebagai bahan sandang dengan judul karya sebagai berikut; Jadur Darana, Jadur Prasasta, Jadur Wahya, Jadur Danurweda, Jadur Jasayasa, dan Jadur Lembahmana. Kreasi motif batik bertema Wayang Topeng Jatiduwur ini, sebagai upaya pelestarian kesenian dan pemajuan kebudayaan daerah Jombang. Kata kunci: Motif Batik, Topeng Jatiduwur, Printing, Jombang

Abstract

Masjid Al-Hidayah Karangploso memiliki bentuk menyerupai masjid Suleyman I di Turki, dengan ornament dekorasi kubah dalam yang beragam dan menjadi point of view ruang utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi visualisasi dan mengklasifikasikan ornament dekorasi kubah dalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan sepuluh ornamen pada empat  pola bidang dengan  frekuensi kemunculan berbeda. Kesepuluh ornamen tersebut diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga jenis yakni ornament geometris, kaligrafi, dan arabes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ornament suluts muncul paling banyak dan tidak ditemukan ornament dengan bentuk timur tengah.

Abstract

Kekayaan dan ke-eksotisan Pantai Malang Selatan perlu dikelola dengan serius mencakup semua sektor sebagai promosi kekayaan alam dan daya saing bagi wisata maritim berskala internasional. Dalam promosi dan pengelolan potensi maritim yang berada di kawasan Pantai Malang Selatan, perlu adanya dukungan dari berbagai elemen. Bukan hanya dinas terkait saja sebagai leading sector dalam mengembangkan wisata pantai, namun juga pihak Perhutani, aparat keamanan negara, tetapi juga generasi muda di sekitar kawasan Pantai Malang Selatan sebagai penerus bangsa. Melihat fenomena seperti dipaparkan, peneliti bersama siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas sebagai sample yaitu siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Pagak Sumbermanjingkulon yang notabene adalah sekolah dekat kawasan pantai Malang Selatan pada Pembelajaran Seni Budaya melakukan penciptaan motif batik khas Pantai Malang Selatan dengan metode Rantai Stilasi Kreatif Berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), karena ini adalah akses utama mengajak generasi muda khususnya siswa ikut mempromosikan Kawasan Pantai Malang Selatan melalui motif-motif yang diciptakan. Selain ikut serta dalam mempromosikan Kawasan Pantai Malang Selatan siswa juga akan ikut melestarikan batik yang merupakan salah satu warisan budaya bangsa yang sedang gencar dilestarikan oleh pemerintah. Hasil dari penelitian ini siswa mampu menciptakan berbagai motif batik khas Pantai Malang Selatan yang mengekspose objek-objek flora dan fauna yang terdapat disekitar pantai.
